So, I decide to gather up the dead plants and ask if they can donate or reduce the price. They are fully DEAD. Customer service says no, I have to pay to buy the dead plants. I ask if they have the small plastic containers for sell. No they don't sell anything like that, and they throw away the containers of these dead plants so I can't have them. WTF. The biggest of which is that I was buying 400 square feet of tile among other things. There was an issue. Rather than cancel the first and ring up everything together, Brandon rang up as 2 orders (rather than correcting a mistake by canceling the first order). Was told by Brandon that it would come in one delivery even with 2 separate orders. I asked about bringing the stuff in the condo. Brandon said it should happen. Came as 2 deliveries. The second was a flat bed. The driver said I should have been told it was drop ship at the street. Brandon said I should have known. Not very professional since I asked him about bringing the tile inside. No discussion on drop at the curb. I wasted 2 days and have no tile. $80 for delivery they refused to make as agreed. read more

Lowe's comes through again!!! I was told Friday at 12:30 that I needed a new dryer. I went online and found the one I wanted. It was available from 3 local stores and Lowe's was by far the best choice. Not only would it be delivered and installed for free, but they could deliver the next day! Saturday morning I got an email confirming I was #14 on the truck and the delivery would be between 4 and 8. At 2:30 the driver called, he was running early. Aisles closed by forklift for more than 45 minutes while the employees tell jokes and have a good time. Forklift went up and down six times with only one box brought down. Aisles 18 and 19 probably are the busiest in the store and multiple customers, including myself standing around waiting. I went and did all my other shopping and came back and they were still joking around. I went up and explained the situation to the head cashier at the front and they did not say one word she just stared at me and they just turned back around to complete their paperwork. Initially, I was told I had only 20 to 48 hours to report damages, which worried me. However, after explaining my situation, I spoke with June, one of the supervisors in appliances, and she completely resolved the issue. Not only did she handle the damaged appliance promptly, but what stood out most was her professionalism and empathy. She listened, believed what I said without questioning me, and treated me with respect throughout the process. we went there on a Saturday looking for a patio set. It took forever to have someone come to help us. He said only the floor model available - this item he claimed was discontinued and walked away didn't want to help. We left and went elsewhere. I went back later for I was thinking it was the floor sample maybe I would get a better price. I went in and asked for the manager --- after waiting for awhile the same man that I had spoke to early came up and said you are back. I asked about a discount since it is the floor model -- he acted like he was doing me a favor and took $100.00 off -- plus delivery charge. I noticed some damaged he refused to do better; I left without making a purchase. He informed me no one else had a full set that I could get the table in Pompano and the chairs at the location off of Oakland Park -- I left. He was not a nice person. On Sunday, my husband and I went to Boynton Beach to look for a grill since I didn't see the one I wanted in Boca -- lo and behold guess what we saw but the patio set $100 cheaper -- so the same item was already on sale at this store and it was an undamaged one -- I asked about delivery it was free -- I asked about assembly it was $10 a piece so --- for the same price I got a new patio set and free delivery plus the money I saved i got it assembled for $10 a piece and it was still cheaper than Boca. The person in Boca who is the so-called manager doesn't care about making any sales -- this is a problem with businesses they hire people that just don't care. After hours of searching Lowes internet for a dishwasher that had to be a certain size due to space we finally found one and paid for it! That was on March 4, 2024. We were given a delivery date and time. My husband stayed home from work we got everything ready clearing out under the sink, etc. Then we got the call of cancelation for delivery. They gave us another date, they canceled that one as well. Now they send us an email saying the dishwasher can be delivered May 25th! Lowes is the most incompetent hardware store on earth. Awful. I usually shop elsewhere, but I thought I would try Lowe's in Boca because I need a large water tub for a project and it was shown on their site. While there, we picked up some other stuff including A/C air filters, and I brought some worn Craftsman tools for replacement. First, I could not get anyone in the Tools department. We tried for half an hour. We went to another aisle and waited a while as two Lowe's employees spoke to one another while totally ignoring us. Then we went to Customer Service and asked for someone in the Tools department. We heard the call over the speakers for help in tools and nobody showed. After ten more minutes, we went back to the talkers and asked if someone could help us swap out the worn tools. One guy looked at them, asked what brand they were (!), and when I told him Craftsman he sneered and said in a very condescending manner that I should go to Customer Service. So we went back to Customer Service, and the person there said we would need to bring the replacements from the Tool department. We walked the aisles but could not find any Craftsman screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, or other such tools so we asked another Lowes employee if he could help us swap out the tools. He went and got the original condescending guy. I picked up my hands in submission and said we already spoke with him. So this guy says loudly, "I'll have you know that I'm one of the managers here, so you will find waving your arms will be very unhelpful to you." So I just told him that I don't need to shop there. We put down what we had chosen for purchase, did not pick up any of the other items on the list, and just walked out. I will never return to that store, where they feel it is OK to have a manager who is so arrogant and condescending that he treats customers as if they are servants petitioning the king. I am retired, but I purchase tools all the time. I have over $100K of just hand tools, so fifty dollars of unreplaced hand tools means very little to me. I have owned manufacturing companies, and anyone in my employ found to treat customers so badly would have been fired immediately. I may shop at other Lowe's in the future, though now I shop mostly online (MSC, McMaster, etc.) and at Home Depot and recently Harbor Freight. I am very familiar with buying and selling hardware (I supplied many of these stores with tools my shops made). Based on my experience, I cannot see that Lowe's will be profitable in five years if this is their hiring policy, so I am selling my stock (on the NYSE) in the company. I think that customers will abandon them in the next downturn. read more

We called the Boca store to replace Samsung washer and dryer but wanted to make sure they could use and install on current Samsung pedestals. (Same model number and color). Daina checked and said yes. We visited next morning and purchased Set, warranties, delivery and install to tune of 1800 bucks. Delivery was set for today a week later, and invoice clearly noted install to pedestals. Driver calls, on his way, but will not use current pedestals. We call store and manager and Pat said he would resolve and call back in 10 minutes. Almost two hours later and no call. Store Manager is In but won't pickup phone. Delivery never happened and incompetence is clearly in all their employees bag of trucks. Employee Daina will only offer she cannot remember who she spoke with to confirm it could be done before we came down. Lowe's Client Service is off shore and three hour wait. Chat feature will only help for new sales. Nobody cares and Memorial Day weekend. So guess where we sit now .... Laundry mat because Lowe's failed again ! read more

While in this area of Boca, we noticed a Loews Store near where we were shopping. Since we needed some items, we thought we would check out their Garden Center. The outside in front of the entrance was very enticing. We went inside. An over abundance of vegetation surrounded us. Each plant as fresh looking as the one next to it. My husband was in awe. As he went wandering, I went seeking what I needed. After much difficulty and no luck finding what I needed, I asked an associate for assistance. He was eager to help, found me what I needed and even explained the directions. My husband found terrific vegetable seedlings, perfect for his garden. Woo hoo! Do not under any circumstances buy an appliance from these people. I have done that several times and, on my refrigerator, I bought their service policy. When I needed it they put me through hoops to make a claim. Accordingly, when I bought my washing machine, I did not buy their policy. What they will never tell you is that the one-year manufacturer warranty that comes with any appliance is not their responsibility. The first time I went to use the machine purchased 10 days ago it would not work. I tried to call the store, good luck. I tried to call the manufacturer (Whirlpool) and held the line for 45 minutes listening to music and then was abruptly disconnected. Finally, I went into the store and spoke to a manager who related that after two days you are on your own. In other words, they won't stand behind the products they sell. I asked what happens if the machine cannot be repaired and I was told the manufacturer would have to send a new one, from Denver. Moreover, the customer service reps that I requested help from when I asked for a manager were extremely rude and disrespectful. If you need an appliance, go to a specialty store and don't go to Lowe's or Brandsmart where customer service goes to die, and you are just a number. Now, I have a brand-new appliance that does not work, and I am at the mercy of the manufacturer because Lowes won't back up what they sell. read more

It breaks my heart to have to say this and to have to go through this. I use to go and walk all around just to find things to buy to expand my tools and other stuff. I've used this store for all my work and building my last two homes. I spend a ton in here and lately the supplies are low and the staff not so great. It's nice to know that there's a Lowe's nearby. They carry all kinds of products for home improvement and gardening. If you're looking for hardware or appliances you can probably find them there. Recently I needed a skimmer for my swimming pool. I went to several shops that specialize in pool supplies. They had them but they were very expensive. Also you had to buy the pole and the net separately, which added to the price. I looked on Lowe's web page and found that they carried the skimmer I wanted. It even told me where in the store I could find it. I went there and got a great skimmer for under $25. So why the three star rating? I can't always find what I want. I seldom have anyone offer to help me. If I find someone and ask for help they usually give me an isle number. Often I still can't find what I'm looking for. If a salesman isn't busy it would be nice if they would help customers find what they're looking for. If it's not where it's supposed to be check if it's out stock or if they don't carry it. Maybe help find something similar. Checking out is usually quick and easy. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. read more

Lowe's is a very well organized hardware store. You can find practically anything you need for your home improvement project. Recently, my toilet was running off and on 24 hours a day. Having run into this problem before, in other places I have lived, I thought I would start with changing the flapper. This is usually the solution needed to solve this very annoying and potentially costly problem. I went to Lowes and within minutes found the toilet parts department and bought a universal flapper for about $5.00. I installed it in my toilet in less than 15 minutes and now it's working perfectly. I'm sure a plumber would have charged a small fortune to fix this defect. Lowes has quite a few employees working in the store. They each seem to be assigned to a particular department where they answer your questions and point you in the right direction to get the part or parts that you need. They are knowledgeable and friendly, but you sometimes have to search them out to assist you. I recommend Lowe's Home Improvement highly. Give them a try if you need a good hardware store. read more

Bad customer service. Bought propane and waited outside 20 minutes for someone to come out and unlock the case and give me the propane. I was told they would be right out when I paid. I went back in and asked a couple times if someone was coming to help. There were three of us waiting out there. When the person finally came to unlock it and give us the propane, she said she's the head cashier and the only one who can do it and she was busy on a register. That is completely inefficient. Maybe they should rethink that policy? The employees and managers here think that their time and their scheduling is more important than the customer's time.
