I was looking for Levelor blinds to replace the ones that I bought here at the Boca Raton Lowe's 5 years ago. I initially met with Jennifer, who was very helpful in finding a matching product. She also sold me on the idea that their people should come to the condo and measure the window to assure accuracy. Then we would order and they would install. The contract guarantees that they would contact you to make an appointment to measure the window within 2 working days. Today is day 4 with no contact. I would like a refund for this non-service! We visited the store on Friday evening and talked to Steve, an assistant manager, who said he would call the installers and then get back to me. I have not heard from him. A few minutes ago, I tried to call the number on the business card he gave me. It connects to the general phone line at West Boca Lowe's. I called 5 times listening to the prompt. It said they would connect me to an associate. The phone rang and rang but nobody ever answered the phone. We will go there later to try to rectify the situation. Every time i go to Lowes, Items i go to look for are easy to find, the employees are very friendly and they seem just as eager to help. I seen they carry more Craftsman tools now and with that lifetime warranty, all hand tools are worth the buy. The Pro guys over at the lumber area are great and Mark is one cool cat! Some customers might expect things handed to them on a silver platter and wrapped in a bowtie, but customer service here is hands down better than the Orange box. Ill stick to my New Blue when i need to do some home repairs or more DIYs! read more

I love the store because it's well stocked. However we're still slightly over a month away from Halloween and they already have Christmas decorations and Christmas trees out. I spent $9,710 dollars on July 2nd 2020 to have new storm windows and doors installed in my house. The due date was Sept 30th. They never showed up. I gave them an extra 3 months to complete the job, Dec. 30th. They never showed up. It is now Jan. 3rd and I haven't seen a single contractor or window or nail. It's been months since I've spoken to anyone. I've called customer service and they couldn't reach anyone at the store either. So, I went to the store in person on Dec 15th and was told that the person in charge of installations wouldn't be back till after the holidays and that I should come back next year. NEXT YEAR? NEXT YEAR?? Are they out of their minds??? When I tried to cancel the order and have my money refunded, I was told that they didn't even have a record of my order! No windows. No doors. I went in to get some wood. I'm doing 3 different DIY projects. I called ahead to make sure they would cut it for me since I don't have access to a saw. When I got there I found what I wanted and then found an associate named Matt. He was very patient with me and even gave me some ideas. I got him to cut a bunch of pieces for me he was so sweet and made me feel he was happy to be cutting all the pieces for me instead of making me feel like I was inconveniencing him like some people do. Lowes has taken to selling Craftsman products do this is on them. Do not buy a Craftsman mower. For years the name Craftsman meant quality and service. Now? I purchased a $1,400 mower from Lowes. Purchased a $250 warranty. Six months later the mower needs warranty service. Called Craftsman. After being on hold for 3 hours they disconnected the call. I reached out to Craftsman via their website. 5 days later they responded with a promise to contact me. 2 weeks later have still not heard from them. Finally was able to get a warranty response via Lowes. And they came to pick up the mower. The mower, 6 months old, was blowing smoke indicating oil was getting onto the fuel. 6 MONTHS OLD! The warranty doesn't want to cover it because it "my fault." Somehow the fuel filter failed within 6 months of purchase and that failure of the OEM part less than 6 months into ownership and after 3 uses is the "owner's" fault. The repair shop says they're seeing this across all the newer Craftsman models and that the Craftsman and the warranty provider are refusing to pay claiming it's the owner's fault. That this is happening across every Craftsman model and within 6 months of the sale demonstrates this is a Craftsman problem not an "owner" issue. But, multiply the the $200+ cost of repair by the large number of failures and it's easy to see why they don't want to pay. Do not buy Craftsman. The brand has obviously gone in the crapper from both the product quality and support perspectives. read more

I went to this location to buy a new refrigerator. Spoke to a woman, found a model I liked, placed the order and was told it would be delivered the next day. The next day, the refrigerator comes damaged. I refused it, and was told they would call me back to reschedule a new unit. I was contacted and told it would come on Monday after the weekend. I get an email on Sunday saying the order is rescheduled for the following Thursday after next. I immediately call Lowes to fix this and they said they would escalate this. I was to get a call back from the managment. I never got the call. I had to call abck to complaina dn found that Lowe's screwed up the order and the person who did it made some clerical and technical errors. They would reschedule for Tuesday. They did not offer to fix the issue or compensate for the loss of food, and insulin. They use a 3rd party to handle this and paid the lowest amount to this cubcontractor who obviously doesn't want to deliver and install a refrigerator. Do not trust Lowes or their people. read more

"BUYER BEWARE" - This 21870 State Rd 7 Boca Raton, Store #1069 has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced and it starts from the TOP down. My wife and I are remodeling our kitchen and went into this Lowe's shopping for new lighting. The short story - "We waited in the store for 45mins. for assistance and ended up leaving after almost an hour WITHOUT GETTING ANY HELP. Here is the KICKER, on our way out my wife calls the store to complain to a manager about the HORRIBLE customer service and when the manager gets on the phone he says, Hi my name is CARLOS what's the problem... CARLOS the guy that kept ignoring intercom customer assistance request and kept multiple in-store customers waiting for almost an hour because he was too busy receiving a store shipment to help customers WAS the manager on duty AND apparently NO ONE else in the store knew anything about lighting...WOW, never again will we shop in that location." Here is the rest of the story - it was around 7:00 pm in the evening when we walk into the store. The store was practically EMPTY from a customer perspective. We made our way to the lighting department and found the high-hat light fixture we liked so I asked my wife to please go find a store associate to help answer some questions regarding the item we chose. WELL, good luck with that...My wife walked up to the ONLY employee person she found after walking around for a few mins. by the self-checkout registers and asked if she could send someone over to the lighting dept. the lady paged over the intercom for assistance and said Carlos was coming. 15 mins. later we are still waiting, my wife goes back up to the front to ask for help again. I'm now also walking around the store looking for anyone with a Lowe's Vest to ask for assistance and NO-ONE could be found...The intercom is now starting to blow up with assistance request for other departments. I reached the customer service desk and again asked for help. the lady said WELL it looks like ALL the guys are at lunch right now and CARLOS is coming. Everyone kept saying CARLOS is coming and Carlos was nowhere to be found. I found a group of people ALL also waiting for assistance, So I asked them if anyone knew who Carlos was and where I could find him. One of the guys said he was also told CARLOS was coming to help him BUT after he found Carlos receiving a store shipment, Carlos told him he was BUSY and was going to send someone else to help him. We finally left the store 45mins. later WITHOUT GETTING ANY HELP. In the past I worked at Home Depot for 5 years and had a pretty successful time there. But the way they operate their stores has left me anti-HD and a fan of Lowes. But I was there on a Thurs. and asked a gentleman in electrical where I could find a bulb I brought from home. And rather than walk me there and assist, he just said aisle one. (Duh, I know that.) So while I spent more time than necessary looking for this bulb I asked a young guy walking by if he might know. Mind you I worked at HD so I know the token response is "I don't work this dept." I'm a single woman and just bought a new house that needed blinds. I had so much anxiety from how to take the measurements, who I would hire to install them, deliver them , and what the cost would be. Lowes came out and took all my measurements. I went in to the store and ordered the blinds with their assistance through out the process. Once my blinds were custom made and delivered, they came out and installed them with such ease. I am so happy that what I thought was going to be a difficult process, was one of the easiest tasks I had completed for my new home. I don't even know where to begin, so I'll start from the disastrous decision we made to go into Lowes to purchase our flooring. We spend a good 3-4 hours with the sales rep in the flooring dept who, by all measures, was courteous, helpful and pleasant to work with. Little did I know what awaited us. After selecting a Pergo laminate flooring, related threshold moldings, underlayment, as well as some lumber needed to build up a "false" floor that would level off our sunken Living Room, we set up the order so everything would be delivered to our house once the flooring arrived. We were told it would be 7-10 days. The first error came when we were called by the Sales rep the following day who told us the delivery portion of the order was never entered into the system and that I had to come in and pay for that separately so it wouldn't hold up the order when the materials arrived. I went back the next day and paid for the delivery. A few days afterwards, perhaps a week, we get a phone call from the sales rep saying that somehow the wrong item (stair bullnose moldings) was ordered instead of the 4-in-1 door-threshold material we had spoke about and supposedly ordered. Unusual since our home doesn't have stairs and the need for stair molding was never discussed. Ok, a simple data entry error perhaps, but the 2nd one. In the meantime, my flooring contractor wanted to pick up the lumber needed to construct the sub floor that was going underneath the Pergo in the sunken living room. I get a phone call from him at the store saying the wrong type of lumber was ordered, in that it should not have been treated wood, but rather un-treated. The contractor stated that treated wood should NEVER be used under a wood or laminate flooring as it tends to draw moisture out of the treated wood. I will certainly claim ignorance on my part for that, but it would have been nice had the flooring "expert" known that was the case. So I had to go back to the store a 3rd time, get credit for the yet-to-be-picked-up treated lumber and purchase untreated lumber. THe lumber gets picked up and installed by my contractor shortly thereafter Meanwhile I get another phone call from the sales rep that I had to come in yet again...,this time, it's because when we returned the stairnose molding and purchased the threshold moldings, there was a $500 or so balance because of the difference in price between the 2 items. Firstly, the cost difference between 8 lengths of 4-in-1 threshold moldings shouldn't be $500 more than 8 pieces of stairnose moldings. I go straight to the store after work only to find out that what the sales rep told me was incorrect, that the order actually had the 4-in-1 on there and that it was paid for and everything was all set. Wasted trip. So how there was a disconnect between the sales rep at 12:00 pm and at 6:00 pm is beyond me. But ultimately I was relieved (momentarily) that the order was correct. Fast forward 2-3 more days. As it's now been almost 2 weeks since we placed the original order, I get a call from the sales rep saying that only a portion of the material was available and that the remainder would be delayed even further, perhaps another 7-10 days. I am furious by now and ask if there's any way to get it expedited sooner and told no. Well, a week after THAT conversation, my next call is from my contractor, who, while picking up some additional materials there (drywall, etc..) is told that the ENTIRE order was cancelled and that the flooring is not even being shipped!!! I cannot tell you how livid I was, and am. Somehow when making the return on the lumber, they must have cancelled the entire order and never re-entered the information. I went to the store yet again, this time to see what the hell was going on in person. I get there and, speaking to a night manager, he tells me that the order IS in the system, but it's not paid for. Strange since we opened up a Lowes credit card on the spot the day we purchased the flooring and all items were paid for at the time. The night manager tells me he can't speak to anyone at corporate since its after hours (7:00 pm). He tells me he's going to give my case, which he acknowledged was screwed up badly, to the day manager the next day. That day is today, and I've called 4 times and the day manager tells me she can't get ahold of corporate to see if there's any way to get the materials expedited more quickly. That was the 1st call today around 9:30 am. The other 3 times I've called she won't pick up her page. Sounds to me like I'm being ignored In summary, I've been to the store at least 6-7 times after work, I've made numerous phone calls during my work day to resolve this, and all I have to show for it is some lumber and unfinished concrete floors throughout the house as we wait for either a phone call telling me whether or not they will expedite the shipment. It's been 18 days since we ordered and I have no idea where my flooring is read more

Had a front door delivered and installed by Lowe's State Rd 7 The door installed was the worst job I or any one in my community has ever seen. They were measured wrong installed wrong. They sent one man a senior to install a double front door by himself. He did a terrible job t gf at took him almost 10 hrs to do. He had an excuse for any thing I questioned him about. We call Ed the store to complain and was put on hold for many day's that we called. We had other door installers look at the door also stating it was the worst job they ever saw. He drilled 32 holes for screws and then told me I have to get filler and fill them then sand them. Painting I understand but that part of the job filling sanding should have been done by Lowe's. It passed inspection and they told me call the store to complain which I did . They sent three different people that new nothing about installing door. Long story short I was told that's there only installer the use. We were on the phone with people who new nothing and they finally said just to get done with this they gave me a partial refund. They told me to keep the doors. I must tell you if there were no dents in my front I never would have had 'its done what a horrible job he did. Spaces one door shorter then the other, rubber insulation put in the gaps that fell out after a week. We had someone else come done to replace this horrible job and we are waiting. There is a separation between the doors were the lock can be opened with a screw driver. Do not ever use Lowe's if that is the work they thing is acceptable The alarm company came to install new wiring on the door and said it was a terrible job. Doors are off center terrible. read more

Looked at tile, carpet, wood & bamboo, laminate flooring....I compared their pricing with other large flooring companies and they were right in the ball park. I had some questions on some negative reviews on a product, and Dannie at flooring called the manufacture and I spoke to them about concerns. US Flooring was great and answered all my concerns and questions. Great service. I then proceeded to buy all my new Pearl Bamboo flooring along with the T-Molds and Thresholds which had to be ordered. Delivery was fast and smooth. This is absolutely beautiful flooring and went down without a hitch. Snap and lock, no glue needed. SKU # 770388 609LVP made by US Floors. We decided to hire Lowe's to install hurricane shutters in June, on August 18th we received an e-mail that the shutters arrived at the store. Come September with the news that a massive hurricane is heading our way I am told the installers are too busy and will not be able to install prior to the hurricane, we had to spend close to $1,000 to protect the house after paying over $12,000 to purchase the shutters. After many visits to the store and trying to talk to the store manager (unsuccessfully), they give us a date for installation at the end of September. One of the pieces was the wrong size so they had to come back several weeks later. Fast forward to the end of February we still do not have the final OK from the city as the inspection failed for 2 violations. After almost six months since installation I still have not been able to talk to the store manager as he refuses to call me and he is never available at the store when I go look for him. Long story short, DO NOT EVER use Lowe's for a home improvement project, once they get your money in advance they do no care about you. read more

Lowe's 21870 SR 7 Boca: Bad part is clerk ordered wrong size custom window blind even though my husband brought in the old one that fit, from which all information could be obtained. Clerk was so confused she (NE region heavy verbal accent) called me at home with questions & she still failed. The GREAT part is upon returning the new wrong sized one, The new lady treated my husband with professionalism & courtesy which MUST be mentioned because the day prior, my husband went to the Lowes near us & was told "No baby you have to return that to the manufacture yourself we don't do that". (hear Island accent, think clerk error/shipping expense). Back to the Boca store, the professional lady said in ref to that, that she just doesn't want to do the work, - of course WE take care of our customers. And SHE DID, including handling the return, including walking my husband over to another place and following through with the transaction herself instead of passing him off to another person. And she placed another order. If accurate & not just the person logged in to that computer, it may have been Vicki the name on the receipt. Thank you Vicki for helping. You represented yourself and your store like a shining star. And my husband really wasn't up to another day like yesterday (7/9/2020) he had moved furniture, arranged for someone to come over to help to install, then afternoon traffic to a store to be called baby & told no do it yourself, imagine what he was like once home, not all that pleased, but, that is for the West-West Oakland Park store review. I was in the Lowe's Boca Raton today and was taken aback by the lack of sanitary measures and social distancing in the store. As you enter, there was no visible hand sanitizer. Also, the aisles are not a one way direction. No arrows on the floor indicating in which direction to go. Also, as I came to the cashier to pay my purchases, there was no line on the floor to keep clients 6 feet apart while waiting to pay. Although everyone wore masks, I didn't feel safe shopping there today. read more

I would give them a 0 if it was offered. I ordered purchased a refrigerator online today after opening an account with Lowe's using their Synchrony Bank Lowe's card. My purchase was approximately $1,450. After I made the order I got a call about 90 minutes later whereby a Lowe's employee said there was something wrong with account and that Synchrony declined the charge. After calling Synchrony 3 times and getting hung up on repeatedly, I finally spoke with someone on the 4th attempt who said that Lowe's put the charge through and they reversed the charge. Synchrony said they approved the charge and that Lowe's reversed and cancelled the sale. I called Lowe's and they said that the charge was made and didn't see any reversals. Btw, it took me 2 calls to get someone in customer service. I had to call someone at curbside pick up to transfer me to a manager. In any event, I was so frustrated in having to spend almost 2 hours to straighten the situation out, and not knowing if there was a sale or not, I just cancelled the order and I cancelled the Lowe's card I just got hours before. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER LOWE'S TO PURCHASE ANYTHING EVER AGAIN. THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE. THEY NEED TO GET THIER ACT TOGETHER. AFTER THIS INCIDENT, I CALLED BRANDSMART USA IN DEERFIELD BEACH AND GOT A BETTER FRIDGE FOR $200 less, and it included an extended warranty. Lowe's actually did me a favor. Thank you Lowe's. Sometimes when you try to avoid the hassle it's still a hassle. We ordered a new Dryer in stock and free delivery was included in a secret price on line purchase. While at the appliance department I am told if you order before 2 you can get delivery the next day. So far, no delivery, its scheduled us lowly on line users for a Sunday delivery which is forbidden in our gated community. They have not contacted us since the order was placed to ask any screening questions about the truck delivery we requested. I think there is a communication disconnect and it means that the appliance department is not getting alerts when a sale is made. read more

I recommend that no one uses them for major installations such as a house full of windows and doors. I give them a "0", zero rating and I've earned that right to do so. Windows were missing parts that the safety of your hands, your child's/infants hands or your first babies paws would would have a crush injury if not an amputated action from it. Doors, oh let me please contain myself and compose myself. Doors were ordered/stock filed with non permitted door swing. Still had to fight out this issue with them that left me having to retain a lawyer. Secondly a cabana door was installed with a gapping long space that the elements coming in etc: rain water-which I did slip on an slip and split a toe on which high lighten my attention to this, the gapping space was the entire width of the door and one inch wide and I had no choice but to fill in with 6 layers of insulation strips that you peel from the back to have "someone " from installation tell me the door was fine. Long story short the installation company manager, the store manager and the installation team manager all came at once to my home to see this door. All three were 100% blind to the manufacturer's defect until I pointed it out to them by sticking my finger through the inside 6 layer insulation striping and they saw my finger on the outside of the door. They ordered me a new door and I don't pass inspection for several reasons. Well today was the straw that broke the camels back. The new hurricane grade door to replace the first one is completely open on both sides-the door locking side and the side that has the hinges all the way through from top to bottom. I've lost my patients with them! The photos speak for themselves. I hope no one ever has to go through the hardships I have been through and I still haven't past inspection and have my own extended permits still remaining open for nearly a year and a half. read more

Spent 20 minutes in plumbing aisle waiting for assistance. No One around Called store on my cell and explained im waiting for help she said ok .. put me on hold for a bit and disconnected me. Went to home depot got help faster than immediately and was out of there in 5 minutes with the parts i needed. Not the first time I have experienced this at this Lowes.. wont go back soon. Advise you go to Home Depot 2 blocks away -- the parking lot is a lot busier but at least you can speak to a knowledgeable associate. read more

Waste of 3 months. We hired Lowe's to do a kitchen remodel and when we went in established a budget of 50,000. We also let them know we were on a time frame and the project manager said that neither would be an issue. After several months and going through a nightmare trying to get a hold of him we finally got called in for a meeting where we presented a proposal of 100,000. Mind you that we were screwed at this point because our time table was gone. Lowe's asks for 100% payment up front and this is after you pay them for appliances and consultation fees don't do what we did and save yourself a headache and a lot of time and money! read more

It could have been an off day but all the staff upfront was very uncooperative and unwilling to help. One guy ignored me as he was cat calling in creole some woman walking out to her car. I asked another guy where the flashlights were and he made a wise joke and said turn around. Yeah, I know there were a few flashlights by the checkout , but I was asking what aisle the full selection was located. I asked if these were the only flashlights they had and he said yes. Even though these were just the ones that were on sale. No floating flashlights , magliners, or any selection . he said again nothing else except there. I knew better and roamed around the store until I found the correct spot. At checkout, two of the self checkout machines were out of service and there was only one actual cashier manned register. Lines were long and weren't moving. Machine froze on guy in front of me, and he asked for help from another employee that was standing there talking to another employee , and she rudely rolls her eyes and says "its self checkout" and that she would help in a minute and then she finished her conversation first and then came over to help. This store and the corporate policy on handling customer needs is the reason for this review. We contracted Lowe's to install storm windows and we signed documents 8/24/20; as of today 1/20/21, the installation is not completed. We had to call the manufacturer directly (since the store and Lowe's corporate office) didn't return calls or respond to emails. Extremely poor customer service, countless hours wasted only to hear lies from employees and managers that 'pass the buck' to the next in line available person. Communication failure on every level and beyond disappointing experience. We've spent tens of thousands of dollars on home improvements with Lowe's and this is the end of it. As a consumer, we have choices where we spend our money. Perhaps, when it hurts their bottom line they will reflect on how they screwed customers along the way while worrying about the corporate profits. And please remove your 'customer care' contact logo from your website, it clearly doesn't define your customer values. read more
