Today I used curbside pickup and it was very convenient. I ordered online, and within half an hour I received an email notification that my order was ready for pickup. Let me preface this by saying I'm a reasonable person and don't expect perfection. In general, my in-store experience with this Lowe's location is good. I find the staff and management helpful and the selections good enough for my needs. But we purchased a new patio door there and had it installed. That was mostly a positive experience, both for the sales service & follow up, as well as the door quality and install, with one minor but super annoying issue. There's a strip about 3 inches wide at the base of the footing area where the door frame meets the deck. That strip started to pull up and became a tripping hazard. I assumed this would be a 10 minute fix, either with a screw or glue. No, in fact not. That stupid strip took nearly 5 months to resolve. I'd get texts every day, sometimes twice a day that my part was ready for pickup and then eventually that it would be sent back if I didn't pick it up. That message was meant for the installer not me. I suppose I could have driven to the store and tried to install it myself but I had no intention of doing that on a $6,000 job. Come on Lowe's, do better. For the benefit of others who find themselves in a similar situation, just call the main 800 number, and escalate. That's what worked for me. Good luck! read more

Trash store, you can't even talk to anyone to get an issue resolved without staying on hold for 15 minutes, then being disconnected. I had tried calling several times just to get a delivery issue corrected and no one really seemed to understand such a simple request. I just wanted the right product to be delivered and the incorrect to be returned to the store. Apparently, you physically have to go into the store to resolve any issues. I swear I'd never step foot into a Lowe's again, but I was up in Carmel and I thought hey maybe it's just a keystone store that sucks. Boy was I ever wrong first of all you can walk around that store all day and not be asked if you need something unless it's some small girl trying to push a Gutter system on you. They were two old guys in the tool section. They would go out of their way not to make eye contact with you and if you tried to flag them down, they would deliberately turn away and walk. I finally get everything I need and I go to ring it up in the garden center I asked for eight bags of black mulch. The lady behind the counter, Kate, who is very nice informed me that they were all out of the inexpensive one. I asked what the price difference was, and she didn't know. She told me she was subbing in there while someone took a break so even though there was a line, she finally went to another counter. Got a sheet with some UPC's on it and figure it out. It was a dollar more. So I went ahead and bought it. I drove to the side of the store to pick it up and I told the guy I have eight bags of black mulch and he asked me which kind I want and I said they told me upfront that they only had one kind. He said no that's weird. We have both kinds. So I tell him I want the less expensive one and I have to go back up to the counter to get a refund. I get back to the counter and Kate tells me that I have to go inside and go to the customer service counter to get a refund because she can't do that. I say to call the manager she calls a manager and then tells me that I can't have the black mulch that I want they're not allowed to sell it, so I asked to speak to the manager. A fairly heavyset tall redhead comes out and explains to me that she will give me a refund and I say I don't really need a refund. I just need a credit for the eight dollar difference and she says she can't sell me that mulch. I tell her it's already loaded in my car and she replies that that's not her problem. Her bosses policy and her corporate policy is they can't sell that mulch. The attitude here is you have to do what we want you to do and screw you so long and the short of it is I got the most I wanted I paid for the mulch I didn't want which was more expensive and the employees and management at Lowe's could not care less. I wish I could give them zero stars instead of one. The only thing that amazes me is that the rating is as high as it is I'm guessing they have their employees fill out the yelp reviews. read more

Skip this dumpster fire, and stick to Home Depot. We made the mistake of buying a refrigerator on sale there. Sales guy was great, helpful, and we made the purchase on a Saturday. That became the start of incompetence. The first delivered following Monday gave us the wrong model. Not even close. They could not leave our original fridge as they damaged it during removal. The second delivery o Wednesday, produced the correct model, but the delivery team damaged our door frame and weather stripping. Trying to get Lowe's to respond to this has been a joke. read more

We recently completed a whole house remodel and purchased Lowes flooring, cabinets, quartz countertops and appliances. Aspects of the project went smoothly, but I want other potential buyers (and Lowes) to be aware of some major snags. 1] They wouldn't even try to take our money by check (a manager could have verified funds with a local bank but chose not to), and because we had a new Lowes credit card they limited our ability to purchase for a month until the first bill was paid. Plan accordingly. 2] We paid for appliance installation and with EVERY single delivery of a new item we were told "oh no, I don't install." If you are not confident about wiring a stove or putting a bracket in for a wall mount microwave, or buying the parts to hook up your ice maker that didn't come with the delivery--do not pay for installation--find a contractor with good reviews. 3] Lastly, the counter installation company is paid by a middle man called "Installation Made Easy" and they too, failed to complete or communicate attaching the dishwasher to the counter--so the whole thing flew out at us when we tried to use it. No credit, no accountability and their reviews across the board are scathing. Lowes would be wise to reconsider their relationship with them. read more

Terrible store, a giant mess inside, no customer service. Tried to buy a fridge online, said it was coming on a specific day within a time range. Never showed, no notice, not even a hint that it might not get delivered. Logged on to Lowe's site, and guess what, the order # they provided when I purchased said fridge can't be found and apparently not getting the fridge we've been waiting a week to get delivered. Bought a refrigerator in June with extended warranty in Carmel indiana Lowe's. It quit working within 30 days Went to the store.. they originally said.. "Oh; too bad you didn't purchase the warranty " Had to prove first that yes warranty was purchased. Advised to contact warranty company. They sent a guy two weeks later who said he had to order parts. That wS in mid August.. it is now October.. He said twice he had to reschedule. One time said parts hadn't arrived even though he had them shipped to our home directly and we had them for about a week. The next call was an appointment two weeks later which was this week. Then the guy shows up unannounced and got mad because he had to wait for me to put our pets up.. said "I didn't sell you the refrigerator " and left. He had me disconnect the refrigerator but after he scheduled two weeks after the refrigerator has mold. I called the corporate office and was told they would refuse to replace and said call their warranty company. Wow.. please do not purchase appliances at this company as they obviously do not care only there to collect your money and refuse ANY ACCOUNTABILITY!! read more

Staff in lumber helped direct me to the right products for my project, and when the time came to pick up the lumber, an associate quickly and carefully cut down the pieces for me--for free! (2 cuts/board) Made transport home ready, and saved me a ton of time. Took advantage of their spring mulch deal while I was there to get a jump on the next project. For the past two days I've been trying to purchase one of my favorite grills, the Kamado Joe. I already have the Jr. but I wanted to upgrade. Unfortunately the Lowe's near my home didn't have any available (Avon location) so I they told me the Carmel store had them. I called while at the Lowe's in Avon to see if they would price match, deliver, etc. Let me say this... I don't care how many managers you have on staff there's no excuse for treating ANY customer like they don't matter. I had to call twice and the second time I was on hold for almost 20 minutes. The associate had the nerve to say in a nasty way (after I expressed my concern), "Well I'm sorry we only have one manager in today!!!!" Then he hangs the phone up. Please know that I will never drop another dime at Lowe's after that exchange. At the very least apologize and see if a customer is available to call back. I'll more than happy to make my $1000+ purchase at my local Costco! UGH! read more

Highly recommend avoiding using Lowe's Home Improvement in Carmel, Indiana for Blinds and Installation. Between the assistant management's treatment of our multiple issues with the installation team that they hired, their condescending treatment of us, the runaround that we received between the management at Carmel Lowes, Installation Support and Corporate, we strongly recommend avoiding entering into a contract with them. The worst part of all of it is that the Carmel store manager refuses to speak to us. We have asked Corporate to have the District Manager contact us, but after 6 days, have still not heard from that person, either. My wife purchased a garage-ready refrigerator three weeks ago. Last Thursday night we received a message confirming its planned delivery for the next day between certain hours. The next day, we stayed home all afternoon waiting for the delivery and preparing the garage to receive it. The promised delivery never happened. After several hours on the phone this morning with Lowe's, Lowe's warehouse delivery, and national customer service, we are told Lowe's never had the refrigerator it called to tell us it would deliver the next day. Now, two more weeks of waiting supposedly. I get there can be supply chain issues, but don't tell me to sit home all afternoon waiting for a delivery that simply can't and isn't going to happen because you don't have the product. read more

Customer service here is horrendous. We've had 2 returns go terribly. First: We bought several lighting fixtures for a new house build. Given the nature of building and everything is delayed, the light was installed beyond Lowe's return date. I get it, they have a return policy. There's no way to have anticipated how far behind a contractor would be. The light had a factory defect, which is why we were returning it. We had no way of knowing until it was hung. Second: Bought another fixture online. It was too large for our space. We had a backup option picked out. I returned the too large light to the store. I explicitly inquired about ordering in store--and was told no, you need to do that online. I was issued a giftcard that says it won't work online and assured that that wasn't the case. Low and behold, the gift card doesn't work online. So a wasted afternoon dealing with incompetence. If you're buying anything big, go elsewhere. Worst appliance service. The appliances themselves are fine. But Lowes Delivery is a 3rd party provider, so Lowes associates in the store throw up their hands and say "you'll have to call Lowes Delivery" Whenever there is a problem. 1st issue: I bought a Cafe collection refrigerator. Measured carefully. Was told by the associates that it is normal to take off the doors to bring it in. When Lowes Delivery got here, the guy said "no way! My insurance won't cover it." So I sent it all back. 2nd issue: Confirmed doors would come off and the water would be connected. Guy got here, and even though I turn off the water, he would NOT bring the frig in because there wasn't an "in line shut off" at the refrigerator. Lowes customer service call center staff is nice, but I called to cancel my order and was told by the rep it was cancelled. THEN 3 days later I get a text saying it will be delivered tomorrow! The order wasn't cancelled. I was going to the Lowes store and I talked to the front desk person, who basically said "oh its loaded on the truck. I see they were supposed to cancel it but didn't. I can't do anything." So "I can't do anything is a theme here. Now I'm on the phone and the rep told me he couldn't cancel the order, and someone would get back to me in 24 hours (I've had that line before on a different issue, there is NEVER a call back). Bottom line? I would not buy anything where it is delivered. NO ONE IS ACCOUNTABLE. We were going to buy $10K worth of carpet from Lowes tomorrow. However, given this experience, we will pay more an go elsewhere. Its a shame. Something is very very wrong with their model. read more

Flooring employees were great. However, beyond that is a complete nightmare and waste of money. DO NOT USE their install services. They have a guy come out and snap a few photos and do measurements. It's not accurate at all and when installers came they were missing a lot of material. It also appears it's virtually impossible for them to correct your address. The manager of this store should be fired immediately. I've made several big purchases from the lowes in Carmel, IN, and everyone of them had difficulties with delivery. If the manager of this store can't manage to get appliances or other items delivered, why is he/she a manager. Every time, they overbook their drivers and then come up with BS excuses as to why the delivery couldn't happen. At least 3 of those excuses have been vehicle accidents. Ordered November last year a glass shower door at Lowe online, the delivery company Estes Express Fort-Meyers was suppose to deliver the Door on December 9th 2020, They called me to tell that the door was broken and send it back to the manufacture and that I had to call Lowe's! Trying to update our newly bought condo we bought this subway tile from Lowe's. During day lighting the tile blends in with the other tile, which is of no fault of the installation, but at night with the lights on the tile looks like the photos. Lowe's response was they can only offer a refund if we bring every tile back undamaged. The tile is fully installed making that absurdly impossible. But don't worry, you will get a 10% discount on future tile from Lowe's where you will most likely get the same result. We went with Lowe's expecting them to stand behind the product they sell to a consumer. Unfortunately for us, they don't care about putting out crap product. We spent $1,200 for the installation of the tile in various areas and are now forced to completely redo everything that was done. With a child soon on the way, we will have to deal with all the dust created by redoing this mess Lowe's created which may cause issues for my wife and soon to be child. But, from a purely objective standpoint, the store always seems clean and well organized, and there has never been a shortage of items that I'm looking for. The East Peoria, IL store has been nothing but a problem. They have displays of material they don't sell, rudeness to customers has been rewarded with promotions and protection plans are misrepresented. If you cancel you get a gift card only good at Lowe's. Reimbursement for a protection plan comes in the form of a gift card good only at Lowe's and is not what was presented to us at the store. Hey Lowe's, do you care about the professionalism and quality of your contractors? If so, why are you still using service pros? Have you read their reviews? I have had a carpet install scheduled since September, carpet ordered in August. They showed up today and left within 5 minutes not even having a conversation with me, but instead calling Lowes from their van stating that I had too many personal items. They had Lowe's call me as they drove off, having zero conversation with me. When I scheduled the install with service pros I asked what needed to be moved and they stated as long as its not plumbing, they move everything. Mind you, just getting this scheduled took several days of voice messages and long hold times to get to a live person. I had two bookshelves with books in them, some papers in a desk, a few folded blankets, at 27" tv, small printer and a toy shelf with toy bins. I was happy to move these items and did within 15 minutes. I have a master closet that was completely empty that they could have started in if they just would have communicated with me like a normal person. This makes zero sense and it appears that this is a consistent problem with their service. Why are you still using them?? I will never use Lowe's again for any major purchase like this unless you do better to provide quality service from purchase to install vs taking our money and letting us deal with this awfulness to get our product. Oh and I am still waiting for a call back to reschedule the install....shocker. read more
