Horrible experience from Dublin Low's today. They cheated me very bad and I feel very bad pain from there. I walked to the store and and saw a clearance refrigerator highly discounted. I talked to the crew and I took this attached picture and went to the cashier station in appliance center to buy that. I was there waiting for about 30 minutes because they were helping other people. in the meantime the same crew I talked before , told me someone else also want the same refrigerator and my manager said to sell it to that lady. I told them I was the first and my 82 years old dad and I were waiting in the line here to buy that so it should go to us. when I didn't agree to walk away from the deal, they process the purchase somewhere else other than appliance center and they came and hull the refrigerator away from there. I was so shocked , sad, angry and nerves. I couldn't believe in such big cooperate mega store they could cheat people like that. they could treat someone as 2nd citizen. they could cross/ bypass not only store rules for those clearance " first come, first serve" but also all humanity rules too. I asked to talk to their manger. after long time someone name Michael I believe came and keep saying I will talk to my crew to make sure they do right next time. Of course I was not satisfied . I went front desk and told them I want to talk to the store manager. After another 30 -35 minutes standing there with my old dad, the same Michael came and said I am the only one in charge and I told you , I talked to them. I said the same crew ( Gorge, I think) is walking very happy there. Looks like your talk did nothing so far. he said, refrigerator is sold and I can't do anything for you. I don't know if there was any benefit for the crew and the manager to sell it to other person. But I know I am so sad, feel so bad , first time I really believe I have treated as 2nd citizen. It hurt me and my old dad vey bad. I wish I could give no star. With such corrupted management, not only they don't deserve any star, I wish I could give negative stars. If any higher manager for Low's see this review and would like to find how this people cheated on me, probably could check and see from 2:15 pm today 07/02/2023 I was there , talked to crew and checking the refrigerator and then went to desk right away in appliance department and probably could check they sold the refrigerator in the picture to someone else from another desk while they hold my and my dad about 30 minutes waiting there to get help at the desk read more

The store manager here needs to get a different job. I arrive at 8pm on 9-16-18, it's Sunday and they close at 9pm. I have an hour til closing. I spend 15 mins to try to get someone to cut two boards for me. By the time I find someone, there is another customer ahead of me at the saw. They have lots of cutting to do and someone is helping them so I stand there patiently - it's 8:20 pm. I stand there patiently. This is taking a long time, it's now 8:55 and I get my turn, I've been patient. The employee loads up my boards on the saw and we are ready to go. The manager shut off the power to the saw and won't turn it on. I ask to speak to the manager, AIDA and she obviously needs a different job that doesn't deal with customers. I asked her why they couldn't just finish my order, one cut, 20 seconds. She tells me they have to close sometime and I shouldn't have waited til the last minute. Well, there's Home Depot! When you go to Lowe's do not expect any customer service. Just walk around the store and try finding what you're looking for. If possible order online. Employees are probably not paid well enough to provide good customer service - but the way they are behaving it won't be long before they will be out of these jobs as well. Disappointed with the Lowes' instore service. I bought the washer and dryer instore with the guy working in the appliance department in early Nov as he confirmed that they were in stock. They were supposed to be delivered in a week. On the day of delivery, I got a call from Dublin Lowe's that BOTH the washer and dryers were not available and they would have the stock in mid December. I don't know why and how they did NOT reserve the appliances for ME who already paid. Also, they should have communicated the status of order BEFORE, not on the day of delivery. When i tried to call them ( also took a day for me to call 10+ times to reach someone) to ask for the refund of the dryer ONLY, the associate ended up refunding BOTH the washer and dryer:( Ended up buying washer and dryer online instead. Not for tile/flooring. We had a terrible time. See the picture I posted on Feb 10, if you think these are within "normal variation", you can skip my review. Once the tiles were set, there were several that were darker than the rest. (Please reference the picture.) They asked for $260 to replace 2 tiles with lighter ones. Note that they had not even been grouted and we already had the lighter tiles! The entire project was only about $800. More importantly, how is it my fault that Lowes tiles did not match?? I took a picture and drove into the store to show them. The lady in installs told me it was "normal variation" and there was nothing I could do, except pay that excessive charge. Again, judge for yourself in the picture. In fact, you will also note that several tiles above this are also darker, but I let it go. There were other problems: The original tiles, delivered by Lowes a few days earlier, were incorrect. They were mismatched in both size and color. The installers reluctantly went back for new tiles. They seemed to think this was my problem. Most of our communication was through a third party on the phone, as neither installer spoke English. When I finally met with the store manager and showed him the picture, he agreed that the tiles were darker than others and to pay the $260 (He was ripped off). I really like Lowe's, and think their service is sometimes friendlier than home depot (although it depends on which home depot...some of them, such as the one in San Ramon, are actually pretty good!) They are not as crowded as Home Depot which can be nice if you're looking for a place with slightly less people. In terms of knowledge though, I found Lowe's and Home Depot to be similar. There seem to be more home appliance options at Lowe's though. Recently I went there to purchase some mulch, and they had an amazing promotion: $2/bag! I ended up buying at least 60 bags. read more

I only come here because it is right up the street. I had a previous bad experience with this Lowes "see previous review". Do NOT try to remodel your kitchen through Lowes. We thought a giant corporation right down the street from us would make it more convenient for a major project like this. The entire experience was the worst I have ever endured. Took almost an entire year to complete our project. The designer somehow didn't understand or misread the dimensions of our space that I drew up, and the installers drew up. She ordered several wrong size cabinets that we did not know were wrong until the 6 week build time passed and they were delivered to our house. The installers had already ripped out our entire kitchen and began to install the cabinets. Thats when we realized several were wrong size and/or missing internal components. So this lead to another 2 week wait time and several calls to the designer to order the correct cabinets, then another 6 week build time. So 2 months without a kitchen with 2 small children and an angry wife. Making meals in our toaster oven and a hot plate in our laundry room and using disposable plates/utensils. When these replacement cabinets were finally completed and dropped off to the store, the delivery people for whatever reason decided to leave the pallets with our cabinets outside on the dock in the middle of a 2 week storm and atmospheric river that completely destroyed the cabinets.This then led to another week of trying to get ahold of the designer and store manager to re-order these cabinets, then guess what? Another 6 week build time for these replacements. 2 more months of preparing meals in our laundry room. There are dozens of other incredible mess ups by Lowes, the designer, the delivery company but I am sure you are tired of reading this. The only positive was the corporate manager Ruth who did her best to take care of us and listen to me lose my mind on several instances. In the end they comp'd us over $1200 for our troubles but I much rather would have not gone without a kitchen for 6 months while they sort out their mistakes. I still have 4 cabinets that were ordered wrong out in my garage because it wasn't worth them paying to ship them back. read more

Lowes did a great job remodeling their Dublin store! Everything is easier to find, easier to see and overall, it just seems brighter in there. I had one crazy frustrating experience two years ago (prior to their remodel). I'm going to chalk that up to an off night. The reality is that I bought carpet and hardwood for my whole house 5 1/2 years ago and they still look brand new. Which is crazy to me since my household is not easy on them...like really, NOT. EASY. They look as good as the day they were installed. The flooring alone is worth my loyalty. Thanks Lowes! read more

Walked into this store, ask the guy at the entrance where I can find a mini frig, he said in the back and then looked down continuing doing what he was doing. I walked to the back, spent 5 mins looking for the mini frigs. I stood there staring at the frig I wanted to buy waiting for someone to help me take it down. After 12 mins of listing to the workers arguing with each other, looking at me and looking away. I ordered the frig on Amazon and walked out the store. read more

This is a big Lowe's. Gayle and I stopped by today on the way back from some Livermore Valley Wine Tasting with a walkway and flagstone on our minds. The bad news is that we didn't find what we were looking for within the Garden Center. The good news is that store help was relatively easy to find, and the advice that we received was friendly, patient, and well considered. THEY PUT THE WRONG PAINT COLOR IN THE CAN. Wasted time, money, tape, primer, brushes, rollers and gas. (Someone else painted hence we didn't know it was the wrong color until it was too late). The label was correct but they had put Sherwin Williams paint in a Valspar can. When I brought it to the management's attention, they had the audacity to say "this isn't life threatening and this is a one time honor.." and only refunded the paint (not even primer). I will be going to Home Depot from now one. read more

Yesterday we bought paint...and it was very easy here. We are re-doing the master bath...to fix the color mistake I made 5 years ago. Primer (yes, it is a dark color now), some roller covers, and we are good to go. I also got a 6 pack of petunias for $1.98....which finishes my summer flower update. I have ordered my countertop, sink, kitchen cooktop for my kitchen from Lowes and have had the worst experience. 1. They Lost my box in warehouse. PO order was not attached to box.1 month later I call them- it was supposed to take 2 weeks)They said they could not locate it. They told me they will find it that day and come pick it up because installers needed it to measure. 2. They could not locate it when I got there 3. Installers came to measure 4. 1 month later, no words from installers 5 . Called every 2 days, until they told me they would email installers 6. At that point they told me to pay extra 7. 2 weeks later, leaving 7 messages to installers of full payment- no one called This is now 3 months into project I do not recommend Lowes and their contractor installers for terrible service- Pentagon is their contractor. read more

Terrible customer service. The two at the return area @ 1:30pm on 9/13/21 that "helped" me were of no help. The hose I bought ripped and I tried to return with the receipt. However, because I didn't have the original packaging, they denied my return. There is nothing on their website and nothing at the customer service area that says that packaging was required. I Didn't expect the holes to rip. Otherwise, I would've kept the packaging. If they were kind about it, I probably would not have cared. Poor online business practices. Cheats! Was charged a 20% restocking fee for an item purchased online. Their website makes no mention of the restocking fee and only mentions "easy returns". After several hours on the phone with Lowes corporate office they did not budge. Shame on them. Will never purchase anything again from Lowes. They have no respect for their customers. However, my darling boyfriend of mine offered to repair my fence after somebody did a hit and run on it the previous weekend. So off to Lowe's we went to pick up new fence parts, our gripe is that they don't put the fence stuff near where they have the other wood materials inside. So we pushed one of those customer service buttons that was near us. So after a few minutes a guy comes strolling over, but was not knowledgeable and served up a huge side of attitude when we asked him where the fence materials were at. What happened to service with a smile asshole, and what happened to knowing where shit is in your own damn store that yes, you are actually employed at? My boyfriend and I ended up figuring it out on our own, no thanks to mister dumbass with a huge side of attitude. Even when we thanked him for his useless help (we were still polite mind you) he paused for a few minutes and gave us a gruffy "you're welcome" in return while he was already walking away from us. Place a huge marble (or two VW beetles duck-taped together belly to belly) at the top of the Dublin grade, and let it roll East. It will hit the Altamont pass and head back west, and eventually it will settle in the middle somewhere, right about where Lowe's is. I just like that image. I went to this Lowe's for patio furniture, and was pleased with the service, particularly from "Robert" who works with the outdoors stuff, I believe. He gave me extensive one-on-one attention from initial greeting in the section to checking out with all the stuff, including some heavy lifting in between. The patio table included four large ceramic slabs, one of which was broken I discovered several days later at home. I called the number with the set, and a replacement piece was mailed to me very quickly. I can deal with oopsies, provided they are corrected fast. read more

This location is horrible when it comes to customer service. I visited their window/door department and it took 5-7 minutes and after I started checking my watch till "Ronda" made contact with me. At the time I came to the department, Ronda was helping another customer, which I was willing to wait. ONLY after I looked at my watch was when she replied "I will help you when I'm done with this customer". That could take hours and I had less than 30min before I had to go back to work. I went to Lowe's during my lunch break thinking the process would be quick. I have had nothing but bad experiences at just about every Lowe's store, which is why I have ALWAYS taken my business to Home Depot. This is definitely a learning process for me. Even if Home Depot is 2 miles away and Lowe's is next door, I'm driving to Home Depot. I even tried contacting their corporate feedback number 800-445-6937 and even that the recording said the waiting time was long. I'm guessing it's due to alot of complaints. read more

Apparently Lowe's has a 48 hour return and exchange policy on appliances. Except our appliances stayed in there warehouse for 2 months after purchase because it was being installed in new contruction. Then two months in the box in our garage. Contracts finally installed them last month and when I walked into the kitchen there was water everywhere. The kitchen had flooded the dishwasher we bought Frigidaire brand had a faulty motor. And lowe's will not exchange it for a new one. They said to call the manufacture that we would have had to return it in 48 hours. This is ridiculous and their customer service sucks! Absolutely the worst customer service experience. Suggest avoiding ordering any services from Lowe's. Signed up for installation services, waited a week for someone to call to schedule service. After many phone calls and sent on a goose chase, it was determined that the order was entered incorrectly so service company did not have the request. The only way this was determined was I had to call the service directly. Looks like I'll be going back to Home Depot for all my future business ! read more

This is the worst home improvement store I have ever shopped in. I have made the mistake of once again going back for a major item, only to be told the price was $80 more than the tag listed. The manager would not budge. I left & found the same item @ the Union City store with no hassle on the listed price. Also, on numerous occasions will be assisting you, only to go to another customer and leave you standing. I just got there and that's someone else who asked. And when it's my turn, a guy just gave me an attitude when helping me. I didn't do anything to you or said anything rude to you. Just a review of curbside pickup. I ordered via the phone app. Notified by mail and the app that my order was ready. Checked in that I was leaving home via the app. Checked in that I was at the store and told them what parking spot and what my car looked like via the app. The app told me that my order would be right out. I got comfortable, read my book, and waited. An hour later, wondering where my stuff was I called them on the phone. The person who answered the curbside pickup number wasn't expecting me, did not know anything about my order, asked me for all my info and said someone would be right out. I had some questions on wine cooler (built-in) installation and decided to get some expert advice in store. Approached the supervisor at the appliance area and got treated what has to be the most dismissive and belittling experience ever. - After a snarky comment, he picked up the phone and did not allow me to respond - As a customer, I wanted to understand what my next steps should be and other considerations, but his questions were firm "I can't help you" or "We don't do that without giving any context or explanation - Did not fully understand the nuances of my requests and answered "it's just bolts and screws" as if I had no idea what I was talking about. With the employee shortages now, I don't think Lowe's can afford any poor customer experiences being delivered by their current staff. I will seek elsewhere for home improvement advices, including the purchase of the unit itself. read more

I just came back from Lowe's at Dublin ,CA. Since I am not a contractor and have no experience at fixing window screen with bending frame. It's pretty frustrated for me as I could not find the exact size of frame and have no tools or experience to make a frame myself. Luckily, Linda at Merchant Department helped me out. She led me to someone and they gave me some information so I was connected to some professional service that solve my problems at a pretty reasonable cost. Wish I could give zero stars because there is zero help at this store. I've had to visit 4 times in 2 days, and still no help. If you try to call, forget it, they don't answer and if they do you get transferred again and again. Go there and go to the bath department for example, it's a ghost town! The people in custom bath, sitting there, purposely ignore you and when you ask for help, they say "yeah he's at lunch". So if you have a person on lunch, would t you plan for a backup??? I went to buy some herbs to grow in my backyard. I have visited Loews multiple times before for hardware but never for plants. They have a good collection keeping in mind that this is sill January and it's cold out there. I was able to buy few plants but no one in the nursery area to get any questions answered. I guess I'll visit some other time and hopefully someone will be here to get questions answered. I took some pictures but quality of my camera is poor so sorry about that but flowers looks really colorful in there. I wish customer service was better here but as I said, I will visit in few weeks to get better collection to buy from. read more
