This is a large store and I found the staff to be helpful. I was able to use my in store gift card to order something online. Sunday afternoon, 1pm the store is a ghost town. Few employees, even fewer posted in any of the sections where they're needed. What TF is going on??!!! I actually went Waaaay out of my way to come to this store because I'm trying to boycott Home Depot and its evil politics, but Lowe's is absolutely TERRIBLE. I needed some wood and toggle bolts for a small garage project, but just as importantly, I needed some advice on the wood selection and my overall plan. There was no one to be found in the lumber section or in any adjacent sections. Had to go most of the way across the other side of the store just to find somebody in a position to help. He said he would find a specialist and have them meet me in the lumber section. 10 infuriating minutes later I'm still standing around waiting. Finally, I said to myself, forget it and headed for the registers. There, I encountered a woman who I vented to over the situation. I was polite, but she could tell I was heated. She asked me to please hang around for a moment and she would get somebody to help. A few minutes later, a guy did come around but he said he had to handle somebody's return first and for me to just accompany him near that desk while he took care of the issue. All the while this guy's referring to me as "boss." . Another 5+ minutes later, he's still dealing with this return, and others are cueing up and it's become obvious to me that this guy's not going to be able to get out of this post. Finally, I just paid for my stuff and bounced. Oh, and here's the best part: the reason I was given for why the store seems so understaffed and overwhelmed, was because supposedly, all the associates from the floor were off, searching for somebody's lost child. This was the story they actually gave me. The ineptitude and unprofessionalism of this place is completely off the charts. If I was with Lowe's corporate, I would want the regional manager's head on a platter. So incredibly dumb to allow the evil Home Depot to OWN you and kick your butt so severely. If my neighborhood Ace Hardware store had a lumber department, I would never have even come here. One thing is for sure: I never will again. read more

Placed a very large order through the prodesk. Ran into every issue you could think of. Items on the order didn't arrive on time, were marked as returned for no reason (before picked up), were cancelled for no reason, fulfilled with the wrong item, or damaged. The app frequently broke, or showed incorrect items on the order randomly, then fixed itself later. The prodesk contact was slow to respond, then stopped responding (he had quit and no one told me), Customer Service Number has been no help at all, and getting through to the right person at the store via phone has been impossible. Had a refrigerator as part of this order that was fulfilled with dents in it. Ordered a replacement to be delivered to the job site. In the days leading up to the delivery, I kept getting automated messages with the wrong delivery address. Despite talking to multiple people at Lowe's, who assured me it would go to the right address, it was delivered to the wrong address and even the delivery window was incorrect, they tried to deliver it at 7:00 AM, the delivery window was 8:30-12:30. Leadership has no clue, and there is no training or effort to correct broken systems. They made no attempt at all to try and make things right, throughout all of this. My husband had a wonderful experience at this Lowe's that I wanted to share. He purchased a set of tools for his friend and had it sent to his house. Unfortunately, when it was delivered, it was taken off the porch within 15 minutes of delivery. He was devastated! After making a police report, he went back to Lowe's to see if there was something he could do about his order. The staff at Lowe's were very sweet and heard him out and went above and beyond to see what they could do to help. They were able to replace the order for him and treated the whole situation with a great amount of care and respect. He especially expresses gratitude to the Manager Adrian and his staff Jaime that helped him find the tools in store. read more

First and last time coming to this Lowe's. I walked in, got zero greeting, and no one offered to help. When I asked for assistance finding a specific tile to finish my bathroom project, one employee looked like I was interrupting her day, as she sat there talking to another employee. Thankfully, another stepped in and tried -- but basically told me it'd be like finding a needle in a haystack since they only had five pieces and they could've been anywhere in the aisle. That says a lot about how poorly organized this location is. For someone like me who values order, it was a nightmare. I ended up spending almost an hour going through boxes for bullnose tiles, piece by piece -- and I managed to find one of the five tiles they claimed to have. Honestly, I felt so frustrated I sat in the parking lot to write this review before I cooled off. For comparison, the Lowe's in Torrance on Western? 5 stars all day. ATT: RICK MANAGER !!!!! 5:21 the worst possible service here this evening.. I'm so disappointed how things went .I expected this from Home Depot but now Lowe's. I got greeted by a nice old lady. I told her I'm here to purchase 2 toilets and a couple of more items for this ADU buil. I told her I already looked online and knew the toilets I wanted. She then told me to go to the aisle and she would send someone there. Waited 20 min and nothing . I ask a kid that was helping another customer if he can assist me with the toilet, he stated that I needed to go to the front and ask them to bring it down.. so I went and ask this other lady working the register and she told me something different, that she doesn't do that. I explain to her what the other associate told me. Then she told me to go back to the aisle and that she would page someone, I see another associate wearing a dodgers hat and ask him. And now he tells me another thing. No one is really clear on what's going on here. And hopefully the MANAGER RICK gets to the bottom of this and re trains everyone here again, like I stated before. We found a nice gentleman by the name of Darrly to assist us from the paint department. He kept trying to get us someone to help us that worked in the Fan area. Finally a guy name Ed walked out with big attitude as if we were bothering him and didn't even speak, but made it a point to let us know he had just got off him lunch break. On August 22, 2025, I tried to file a claim online, for our GE stacked washer/dryer, and wasn't able to, so my wife and I went to Lowes located on 2800 W. 120 St., Hawthrone, CA store #1555, to request assistance. We have an extended warranty that is active, until May 2026. The guy working in appliance told us that he couldn't help us, because the washer/dryer wasn't purchase there. We didn't believe him, so we drove out to Lowes, 22255 Western Ave, Torrance, CA 90501, store #0250. We went to the appliance department and talked to a very nice Salesperson named Cirpey. Cirpey helped us with trying to contact the service department. It took about 20 minutes to get someone, but she was determined to help us. Cirpey said that saw we were from Inglewood and wondered why we drove that far. January 22 came the rescheduled it to 2/9/26, 2/9/26 came they rescheduled to 2/16/22. I called they said they apologize and that I would receive it by 2/16/26. Well 2/16/26 came they rescheduled to 3/2/26, I called again and told them if they don't have it's fine I would ordered some where else, they said No we give you our word this time you will receive it. On 2/27/28 they send me a message confirming the delivery address and time, so I went ahead and got rid of my refrigerator thinking they were gonna deliver. This Lowe's was just horrible. Literally no one to help. They had ok selections but the customer service was not there. It seems not everyone is trained to do different services in their different departments. I just needed the blind to be adjusted to size I wanted. And no one knew how to work the machine. I was buying one to see if I liked it (mainly the color). But was going to buy 12 window blinds. And since no one was available after waiting 30minutes, I decided to go to Home Depot. The customer service is terrible at this location, especially in the Garden Center. You walk in and the cashier and workers will look right at you, but won't greet you. They work there but can't answer basic questions about different supplies. I used to patronize the Hawthorne Lowe's consistently, but it got harder and harder to deal with them that I began a practice of calling to make sure the items I wanted were available before driving over. Well, when I called this time, their phone rang for two minutes and a lady came on and asked to put me on hold. I said, sure. I was on hold for 52 minutes. I didn't really mind since I was at my desk working the whole time, but now a different lady picks up and asks which department I wanted. I said, "Hardware," and she said, "OK, I'll transfer you there. So now the hardware phone is ringing. It rings for three minutes, then they hang up. I'm cut off. So I go to Amazon and find all the items I wanted, to be delivered in two days. I should've done this first. Now Lowe's is pushing their new MyLowe's app? Forget it. With service like this, I don't see Lowe's lasting over the coming recession. To whoever curious because spray paint was locked up, you should know that that's a California criminal law requirement. It's not Lowe's fault. (If you want to look for somebody to blame blame taggers.) I also think the public should know that they offer discounts to seniors but you do have to ask.
