This store has made my life so hard. I bought a front door from them for almost 2000 dollars. They sent someone to measure my front door to have a specific size made. Then they called and told me they had purchased a standard door and asked if they could try and fit it on anyway. I said no, and they acted like it was some crazy inconvenience that I wanted what I paid for. I just got a refund for everything. A few months later I made an online order of 120+ cinder blocks. 24 pieces of rebar and some mortar. I had to come pick up the rebar and mortar, wouldn't deliver, fine. I asked the associate if there were 24 pieces of rebar and he said yes. Got home and there were only 18. 45 of my blocks were delivered from another store. They actually came. The rest of my 80+ blocks I ordered may 19. They said they would come on the 27th. Then the 29th. Then the June 3rd, then June 5th. And now they say I'll get them June 12th. I'm not sure I believe they are coming at all. The store is a half mile away from my home. Totally screwed up the timeline for my construction project. Don't know how I will get it done this summer. This store has cost me money multiple times in the last 3 months and it's driving me crazy read more

The store is good. The products are good. The delivery subcontractor sucks. I ordered stuff and it never arrived. I tried chatting with Lowe's. I tried calling Lowe's main number and then called this local store. No one helped. The AI tools lied to me. The call center lied to me. Local Lowe's apologized, but couldn't fix it. They said that I should call their delivery contractor and ask for my stuff. I called my credit card and disputed the charges instead. This is HORRIBLE customer support. read more

This review just pertains to Lowe's return policies. They delivered the wrong color paint and will not pick it up for replacement. Their return policy only provides for bringing it back to the store yourself or pay ing a third party carrier. This policy penalizes their customers for their own mistakes. We're always shopping here and I've never written a single review don't get me wrong we've always had a great customer experience and service here from purchasing appliances,tools and plants it's always been good but today we were here looking to get a propane griddle and were promptly greeted by Jose the store assistant manager he went above and beyond what we were needing and showed us all options and we left with our new griddle for Father's Day which I did season and found a couple of flaws in the product I did return and once again spoke with Jose he did apologize and I let him know that it was all good sometimes these things do happen and once again he did indeed come through making a situation out for the best I left happy and Lowe's has kept a customer for life we were also helped by Ricky whom was also very nice and customer care a priority a very professional store indeed thank you Jose and Ricky for a great addition to a awesome Father's Day weekend I hope this helps you and thank you for reading. read more

We live in Arizona but flew to Oregon for the holidays. My mother spent $140 on a light up house for my fiancé (who lives in Arizona) and had it sent to Oregon by accident - she RE-ORDERED the same light house and had that one shipped to AZ. My brother (in oregon) went to return the unopened, unused light house that was delivered to Oregon today and they rejected it. The shipping box wasnt even opened! Their new policy apparently is no holiday returns after the holiday. Its 5 days after Christmas and my mom is out of $140 and they wouldn't even offer her a store credit so at least she could still spend it within their store. That is absolutely ridiculous for a chain this size to make this type of policy. No wonder there is an average of 1.5 stars for Lowes. I will never ever shop here again. I went in today looking for a specific door handle but it's only online at Lowes. Which is fine, good to know. I am a little bummed I purchased all my interior knobs at Home Depot already because Lowes really has a better selection and more modern style which is what I'm doing with my home. We found the Pella Storm door we wanted online at Lowes and ordered it, couldn't find the storm door knob in store but ordered it online and will definitely check Lowes out when looking for things because they have a lot more modern style and black which is what I am doing a lot of. Working with Lowe's on our flooring install has been an absolute nightmare. To start, during the initial estimate, the estimator forgot to include underlayment on the quote and then needed us to pay an additional $1,000+. Which honestly should have been our first clue of what a mess this would be. Next, when we were two weeks out from installation, the installers told us the store would call us to schedule delivery 3-5 days before install so the product could acclimate. No one called, so I had to reach out to Lowe's. They seemed baffled that they were supposed to do this, but after an entire day of going back and forth on the phone, they finally arranged for someone to deliver the product the Friday before our install. Except apparently they could not have the delivery driver bring it into the house (there were 82 boxes of product), so we had to wait for a second person to come later in the day to bring it into the house. After getting the product, we discovered they had not delivered the underlayment which forced me to call customer service again. After getting the run around for most of the day, they finally emailed me to let me know the installers would bring the underlayment. It was pretty clear they had not ordered it in the first place and needed the weekend to source material. On Saturday, a random Lowe's delivery driver showed up with another box of stuff they had apparently forgot the day before. It was not the underlayment. The actual install was great. The installer was respectful and did a nice job. No complaints about them at all - it is worth noting, they were a third party contractor and NOT Lowe's employees. We had been told that after the install was complete, they would compensate us for all the issues with the scheduling and delivery. However, no one contacted us after the install, so once again I had to call them. The rep I spoke to offered a $250 gift card which didn't seem adequate for the days of hassle, but I accepted because I was tired at this point. She said it would be sent in 2-3 days. After another week passed, I called them again because I had not received the gift card. I was told the rep on the phone didn't know anything, but would schedule me for a call back on 5/20. Today (5/20) arrived, and I did finally get a call back - this was the first proactive contact from Lowe's. They now claimed "leadership" had decided that since the install was done during the contracted period, I was owed no compensation. After arguing with the rep, I was (for the first time) allowed to speak with a supervisor. I had, at this point, requested to talk to a manager four separate times and been told I could not. The supervisor went through the notes and saw that an earlier rep had agreed to the $250 gift card and agreed to honor this - but said he could not do anything further and simply advised we "fill out the survey" and that he wished he had been engaged sooner to help as there were many things not handled well. I pointed out I had requested escalation on multiple occasions and that I could have saved myself a lot of time, frustration, and money by just managing the install personally rather than paying them. While he was polite, really nothing was done. My recommendation would be to purchase your own materials and contact Premier Flooring (the installer) directly to set up an install. Trying to work with Lowe's will be nothing but incompetence, dropped balls, bad communication, lies, and a total lack of responsibility. read more

Better prices here than at home depot for most items. They have a better selection of flooring options here, but their vanity options were lacking. Can use some work.... On customer service/notating accounts. Ordered a refrigerator online. Order#879058433 it was a 3 week wait to be delivered. So I decided to rent a trailer and pickup at the closest location which was Hillsboro. I called in advance to setup pickup, had a confirmation email stating it was ready. I showed up, it took about 30 min to have someone find it and bring it up front. The employees struggled a little, due to short staffing. The help at the counter was sub par at best. After the experience I didn't even want to call them back about the small ding in the front however I did. I reached a female that gave me a couple options, send someone out to swap or a small discount of 20%. Which I figured is the max due to they offer 20% off when you sign up for the credit card. I spoke to my other half, out of convenience and her willingness to deal with the small dent I said I'll take the 20%. This was 11/17/2021 which was pickup day of the fridge. The employee said the total would be $1,144.76 I said great that works. She stated would be approx 5-7 days for refund. Which is pretty standard and I've returned a few things over the years. Today is 11/28 I called to asked about it, they said it was absurd discount and scheduled to now send someone to swap the fridge.... Now this is the holidays, we have it full of food and everything now in working order..... want to come and swap and not honor the discount. I said sure he took my name and said have a great day " I hope they call you." Per Collin. He also stated that he talked to the highest person he could, being as they currently don't have a store Manager. Overall I've never had a bad experience until now. Feeling comfortable and safe in our own home is all we have right now with all the craziness going on. Now that it's been two weeks we have to swap it! Re: Approx 10 min after posting this review. Another failed attempt to give them my money.... Placed an online delivery order from the local store for just around $300 worth of lumber that I needed for a potting bench project. Verified stock, etc. Got my order confirmation and waited. About 90 minutes later, I got an email that said my order was cancelled. I called the store, and customer service said I needed to call corporate. I verified that the local store is where it was being delivered from and pulled from, and she confirmed, and I said wouldn't it be easier to find out from the people who pull the order, and/or deliver the order to find out why they cancelled it, and she said I needed to call corporate. 15 Minutes after calling corporate, I get someone who looks into it, and she said that the only thing it says is that the order can't be processed at this time. I asked what that means, and she said she didn't know. I said I know I have funds on the card, and I double checked stock. She said she didn't know and maybe I could call and check with the store. I swear, every time I give them a chance, they simply don't want the business. Lucky for me Home Depot is next door to them. Guess I'll go get the stuff myself. read more

Ugh... it's annoying to shop here but trying limit what I purchase on Amazon or at home depot. The main disadvantage I've found is that the prices at Lowe's aren't as good as at those retailers, and I constantly pay differently (more) than what's marked or listed online. And this place is farther out from my house, so never worth the hassle to go back for price adjustments when it's just a few dollars. Note for future self: prob best to plan ahead, shop lowes.com, and either ship to home or go in for in-store pick-up and minimize the the hassle. read more

I recently bought a Craftsman Tool Cabinet. I shop at home improvement stores often, haven't had occasion to shop at Lowe's since moving to this area. Mike, the sales associate who helped me, really went out of his way to provide great concierge-type customer service. He was very knowledgeable, helped me secure a discount for a slightly scratched display unit, facilitated getting another part of the unit from the back storage area, then provided a personal handoff to the checkout clerk and getting help to load the cabinet in my car. We hired them to tear down our old fence, haul it away, and build a new one. Just about 100 feet of fence. It was not a good experience. They bill you before the fence is even in the ground and send you customer surveys. They send a guy who quotes you 2-3 weeks start time. After a month you call them and they tell you "be there next week." On the day of, they don't show so you call again and they say "its next month." When their fence contractor finally arrives, they arrive late afternoon on a Wednesday, tear down your old fence and leave it in your front yard until the following Monday. One guy comes on Thursday and builds the fence, tearing up your grass in the process, and leaving mud everywhere. He promises the old fence will be hauled away "tomorrow." Tomorrow comes, no one shows, you call, no one answers the phone, so you call Lowes and they say "we will put in a work order for 2-3 days." So the old fence and concrete stubs sit on your front lawn from Thursday to the following Monday. On Monday someone shows up and you have to remind them that there is concrete that needs to be hauled away. It was not a good time. I suggest paying a little more money and getting someone with an inch of customer service and accountability and drive . This was so stressful. read more

HA instantly asked if there was anything he could do to help me. He found a large cart so I didn't have to look for one, he walked me to the item I was looking for, led me out and made sure I was taken care of at check out. Walked out of the store, not making a purchase because the item (cabinet) had a sales price posted on the sticker, but the price wouldn't ring up at the register. The cashier called for an "over ride". She called again after nobody showed up. We waited a total of 15-20 minutes. Nobody came. We went next door to Home Depot and went home with a Cabinet. I understand places are short handed, but come on, management didn't even respond back to this cashier. I can't rate my purchases because I wasn't able to make them. After an hour of shopping and picking out a cart of miscellaneous things on my list including 4 plants from the clearance rack I lined up to checkout and pay. A new associate was being trained and she was doing fine except she was asking me about everything in my cart 'what's this? What are you going to do with this?' Seriously none of your business! She and her trainer were chit chatting about their break and blah blah blah- oh we need a manager for an override on the plants. She calls once, twice and no show. I wait and wait and when I asked what the holdup was I get flap and a snarl from the 'experienced' cashier. Finally a manager-type person shows up and... the register freezes and they have to re boot and start my checkout again (a big cart full of little misc items ) I'm pretty mad and they are not making me feel better and responding with nasty comments and excuses. The manager takes me to the customer service register and proceeded to empty my cart all over the floor in the aisle and ring things up one by one. Literally people were walking around my pile of things. I wasn't even going to help because this 'manager' was so inept. So now my purchases are all over the floor, and he is starting at the register trying to figure out how to mark down the plants, I wait and wait. No comment no acknowledgment why he can't do it. Another associate approaches him and starts talking to him about employees breaks and whatever- I'm pissed now and ask her not to talk to him while he is working on my order because it is taking sooooo long (we are at 30+ minutes now) she gives me a look from hell and more flap!! Unbelievable! I wait more and finally after NO explanation why it's taking so long to check me out I leave WITHOUT my item!! If you are interested in crappy service where they will give you push back and make nasty comments to your face, mis-marked merchandise, and inept customer training this is your place. Come to Lowes and waste your time! I'll NEVER go back! read more

This would be -5 stars if I could do that. The people at the Hillsboro store were very nice to deal with & went above & beyond to help me solve my problem. They solved my problem. However... I wouldn't pay a plug nickel for any of the rest of Lowes. They're snide, uncaring assholes. They got my money...why should they care? The "Service Advantage" team in Bangalore or Mumbai are particularly incompetent! They are apparently mystified by their telephones. Not a single person I talked to could transfer a call or get me back from "hold". I was asked to resend information I sent a month ago to get my refund. The email 'bot was SO F****** STUPID that every response just generated a new request for the same information. I caught on to this dodge after 2 times. I sent a couple of complaints to Lowes customer care at Galactic HQ outlini my problem (and the abuse I had been subjected to). I was informed that a Service Advantage rep would be contacting me "within two business days". By then, the store had made arrangements to make me whole out of their operating accounts. I told Mr Corporate that I wasn't interested in talking to Jagdesh in Bangalore. My interest in dealing with Lowes EVER AGAIN had completely dissipate. Mr Corporate's communications with me were just dripping with contempt... So, if you're one of those people who thrive in dealing with corporate BS shoveled out by incompetent idiots who could care less about you or your problem, then by all means shop at Lowes. For me, sleep was a much better use of my time. .All of this was over $40...a refund for a protection plan on an appliance I had to return (in the unopened box). Don't shop at Lowes! read more

This is the Hillsboro location. My frig died, I ordered new one on 11/1. It was the only specific frig I could find anywhere that would fit in my cabinet. Was told delivery would be 11/17. Fine, in time for Thanksgiving. Then they notified me oops, it would be November 25; you know, the day *after* Thanksgiving. I contact customer service, the only reason for two stars being because the person who helped me did all they could. Unfortunately after spending a lot of time they discovered they could not do *anything,* wound up with the "problem with the supply chain" excuse so common these days. I wound up doing Thanksgiving at someone else's house. And now today, got notice it won't get here until 11/30. So I have been a month without a refrigerator (using a borrowed mini-frig.) I can't really cancel, since as stated it's the only one that'll fit. But I'm not holding my breath. I won't shop here again. read more

Terrible customer service. I went into the store after seeing a product was in stock online and I was in the area. I couldn't find the product and asked an associate for help in the paint area. She told me they had the product but she couldn't get it down and suggested I use the water based version instead since it was on the shelf. I told her no I needed the oil based. She told me that it was too bad and I'd have to wait. I decided to just go ahead and order the product online for pickup since online said it was in stock. 2 days later the order still says in process. I have called for over 3 hours today and have not gotten anybody to answer the phone. Save yourself some time and stress. Avoid this store and go to somewhere else. I've never had a bad experience with Lowe's until the Hillsboro location. read more

I just ran into her and she greeted me with a smile and asked if there's anything she could help me with and I informed her if she could point me to where I could find roof nails and she led me to which aisle these could be found and when she could not find it where she told me where they could be at she searched and searched until she earnestly told me where specifically they could be stocked. Her name is Marygrace and my experience was so pleasant and I thought of giving her kudos as I got back home and not just telling her manager. Excellent and very efficient employee. Very much appreciated However, the highly unmotivated and personality lacking kid at the checkout register literally sighed with exasperation when I showed him my VA card and snottily told me I have to register online for the discount. We went to buy draperies. We asked customer service to call for someone to help. They called twice but nobody came.

I will never go back to this store. After standing in a single file line with 25 other people waiting to check out, It was finally my turn to find an open check out station (there was no one direct people to which ones were open and because of barrier's, you couldn't see). I spotted an open self-check out and proceeded walk up to it. I asked the customer service person if the check out stand was open? She replied, in a very loud and unfriendly tone "THE LINE IS OVER THERE!" which brought everyone's attention standing in the general area on me..... I replied, "I have already stood in the line and I am just asking if the check stand is open". I started scanning my $200.00 plus purchase and just wanted to get out of there but unfortunately I had to hand enter a code for an item and the sticker was missing! The very rude customer service person (I won't say her name) once again embarrassed me by saying across the isle "YOU HAVE TO ENTER A CODE"..... OMG!!!!!!! I could not believe how she was talking to me in such a condescending tone as if I were 10 years old. I requested a Manager whom after I complained to just looked at me like a deer in headlights so I left my things on the stand and left. Poor customer service and even worse, store Manger has no customer service skills to be in a position of managing people who obviously MORE training. read more

Decent prices. Usually go for minor home items like closet rods or other small parts. When looking at counter tops for a garage project they seemed to be a little bit higher priced. Called one time to ask a quick question about whether they cut mirrors (lady I spoke to said their machine has been down) so I said "oh do you normally cut them?" (since I read some places don't) and she goes "yes but it's been down the whole year I've been here, you could try another Lowe's, ok bye" and hangs up quickly without even letting me say anything else‍ like I get you might be busy but I waited on hold, it wasn't like I was rushing you for an answer. At least wait for me to respond back or make sure that was all I needed. So CS didn't impress me here. read more
