I used to like Lowes, as I always did self-service. However, I just purchased a GE refrigerator. The delivery date was canceled twice, that wasn't the problem. After a day the compressor was making noise (noticeable) and running constantly. I figured I would give it a couple of days to get acclimated to my kitchen, up and running. It was delivered on Friday, and I thought about calling Lowes on Monday. I figured I would give it another day or so. I called Wednesday morning to the store and waited and waited for the appliance department. I finally called the corporate office only to be told that I have had the refrigerator over 2 days and there is no return. NO ONE IN THE STORE TOLD ME I HAD 2 DAYS. When I bought it, I paid, set up the delivery and that was that. I am so angry. I would advise anyone NEVER to purchase an appliance from any Lowes store--I never will again!! Service needs improvement. I was looking at washing machines for over five minutes with three employees in the appliance section in clear view. Two of them left talking with one another, and the other just walked in another direction. No one bothered to stop and speak to me and ask me if I needed any assistance. We bought a washer and dryer a year ago included in our purchase was a supposed 5-year extended warranty under Lowes. We have the actual receipt for the purchase of the Lowe's warranty which specifically says 5-year warranty. Last year not long after we purchased the dryer we had an issue and called Lowe's. they said their warranty does not come into play until the manufacturer's warranty runs out. Now this year we had another issue that went beyond the manufacturers 1-year warranty and when I contacted Lowe's about the 5-year warranty they informed me it was now a 4 warranty because the first year is used congruently with the manufacturer's warranty. Even though we were required to use the manufacturer's warranty for the 1st year. Lowe's now says 1 year of our 5-year warranty has clocked off even though one year of the Lowes warranty wasn't PERMITTED for REPAIR SERVICE at all, and we had to use the manufacturer's warranty for the issue. So in other words when we are sold this washer and dryer we were told we would get a 5-year warranty added to the manufacturer's 1-year warranty totaling 6 years of coverage. Instead Lowe's purposely lied to us at the time of sale and cheated us into 4-years total coverage. I recommendation is anybody that's ever offered a warranty at Lowe's is to turn it down and buy a warranty elsewhere because Lowe's misrepresents what their warranties to trick people into buying them. read more

I ordered online and got a text to get my item. It was quicker than I expected, so I was happy. The signage for the pickup was very clear at the store. When I opened my cubbie, though, it was empty. So, I walked up to the counter around the corner, and I was helped right away. They staffed this area appropriately for sure. The lady was very nice and helpful, but she couldn't find my item. She located a person who could help, though. He looked around and ended up going to get it. While I was waiting for him to return, another employee saw me standing alone and asked if I had been helped. I was actually pleasantly surprised an employee bothered to check. Too often you walk into places or are waiting for assistance and employees just ignore you. The only reason I gave a 3 instead of a 5 was that I got the notice the item was there and it wasn't. I've gotta give a shout out for amazing customer service. Having shopped online and determined that Lowe's had the item I needed, I went to the store Mastercard in hand. The location within the big box listed on the website (great idea) like platform 9 3/4 didn't seem to exist. As I wandered, looking back and between phone and shelves, a staffer asked if he could help me find something. I showed him my phone, he checked the store's internal database, and led me four aisles over. There it was, a box full at the very peak of the above shelf storage. He mounted the rolling ladder, applied his box cutter, and retrieved the prize, literally going above and beyond. When I sought out the manager to sing his praises she was pretty sure his name is Richard. He just made me a very satisfied customer and put the store (ahem) highest on my list. read more

Fire pit season! Lowes for the win! A fire pit kit was our weekend project despite some lingering rain, Lowes made this process like taking our vision to fruition with the wind in our sails! We knew that the process was going to be lots of muscle and sweat, but with the fire kit assembly and instructions it would be a mission complete! It was systematically a well thought out process. I would love to say it is what I call "stupid proof " when you stay on task! The kit was a success and we were able to enjoy a beautiful, warm, cozy fire by Sunday evening! So many memories to be made with family and friends! And marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate and lots of hugs ... perfect for Fall and maybe even a early Winter lazy day! Bravo Lowes! I found whatvi needed between to stores: Columbia and Laurel, Md. I went to Columbia store because it was the closest. I noticed right away Veteran's only parking, so I pulled right in. I went into the store, and too my surprise, none of the shades i wanted were available. Strange given online status. I left there and headed to the Laurel store. At Laurel, I found only 2 of shades I wanted. Somewhat annoyed, I sought out help and they agreed they did not have the stock referenced online. Laurel Lowes, lowly performance woes. I placed an order online on 12 April 2023. It is 05 May 2023 and the order has not been delivered. I called the Lowes store in Laurel, MD to find out why it has not been delivered and the customer service representative said it would be best to cancel the order and reorder it as she did not why their store was having so much difficulty fulfilling the order. When I asked to talk to a supervisor I was placed on hold for 75 minutes and counting. I called on another phone to talk to customer service and was placed on hold, again! Now I can listen to the hold music in stereo. Oh snap, they just hung on me. Dialing back in. ... again. Amazing how my second phone keeps getting through to customer service, and then gets disconnected while I am still on hold on the other line. read more

I have lived in many places and done business with many Lowe's locations and I can definitely say this has been the worst. Yes, you will be able to purchase the items they have on the shelves and it is set up like every other location, but I will just give a brief run down of just a few of the incidents I have had with them. I don't even live in Maryland, I just come here when I visit family, so the fact that I have multiple issues tells you what you need to know. Ordering items online for pickup - works seamlessly everywhere else, here it was a disaster. The whole point is to avoid people in the stores during a pandemic. Turns out, the employee who packaged my goods for my order put them somewhere no one could find. I had to come into the store to find out what was going on, waited forever while they searched high and low for my items, and then waited while they shopped them a second time. How are you a store without a proper procedure in place for storing customers' paid for items? On top of that, when I was going through the process for installation of an appliance for my parent's house, everyone I spoke to sounded unsure of themselves and/or unprofessional. Eek. Each time I spoke to someone to get through the process, I heard a different set of information that was not official or written down anywhere. When I pointed out what was distributed online, they told me they had nothing to do with that? HAHAHAH. You're the same company, what sort of foolishness is this? Ultimately, I decided enough was enough and am getting my services from outside of Lowe's. No more, I am taking future business elsewhere. read more

The parking lot is quite hectic, and cars are constantly entering from Mulberry Street. From Route 1/Baltimore Avenue, I recommend entering and exiting from the Cypress Street side of the shopping center and crossing over to the end where the Lowe's is, last store on the left. There is an exit from the center onto Route 1, but heading northbound, a left turn is prohibited and daredevils risk it and turn anyway; if heading southbound, however, a right turn is allowed. Massive store with an enormous garden center! Customer service is mediocre but beats Home Depot any day. The store can get busy in evenings and definitely weekends so I recommend going in the mornings or during the day. Customer service is standard, unmemorable, and could improve, but it's hard to encourage positive behaviors given that some customers are very rude and impatient, which I have encountered on several occasions. read more

If I could zero stars, I would. The management of this store is incompetent, disrespectful, and entirely unhelpful. They openly and obviously try to dodge accountability for their mistakes that cost the customer time and money. I will never spend my money here again. I ordered products from Lowes online to be shipped to my home, and they were fulfilled by the Laurel Lowes. One of the items, worth hundreds of dollars, arrived both damaged and missing parts, which I didn't discover until after I had put some time into assembling it. Management refused to provide a speedy replacement (they wouldn't even start shipping the replacement item until after they had retreived the damaged item, and when I pushed, offered the "soonest available" delivery date which was significantly later than Lowes.com advertised for new orders) AND refused to discuss a refund until the order was complete. They also were very hard to contact - promising to call me about the issue and then not calling. It's abundantly clear that they were simply trying to avoid doing their job or making this right, trying to push me off so I wouldn't actually get the reasonable treatment a customer deserves. I ordered a semi-frameless shower door and Lowe's could not deliver, even after 3 1/2 months. They made and canceled seven deliveries. Each time they said the door was either lost or broken. They did give me a 25% discount after the third cancellation, but refused any more discounts after that. I found a better product on Wayfair for half the price that was delivered (unbroken) in three days. Will never ever special order anything from Lowe's ever again. read more

Lowes in Laurel on Baltimore Ave is infested with mice.. We purchased a fire pit which had mice. The mice were in our vehicle and in our home.. Lowes is aware if the infestation and takes no accountability.. We were offered a $50 gift card which we declined. 6 days later we were offered a $250 gift card to a store with mice. The manager of the store asked why did we open the box in our vehicle. (Which we did not). We've provided receipts, photos and photos. Please go elsewhere or open your items inside Lowes if you're brave enough to take a chance it this place. We captured 6 in the house and 5 in the vehicle. read more

We purchased a microwave oven from Lowe's on 7/26/20. Originally, we wanted to buy it from Best Buy because it was cheaper, but was out of stock. Fortunately, Lowe's sold the same product, but $20 more. At customer service, we showed the Best Buy price. With manager's approval, Lowe's honored the lower price. This is the most useless Lowes I've ever been too. A week ago, my boyfriend and I came to the store to return exchange a broken sander. There were hardly any customers in the store, so we thought that this would be a quick transaction. No. Someone had to page customer service three times to help get the new sander we wanted because it was locked. We were waiting for about 20 mins before we were just like let's just get our money back and leave. Tonight, was EVEN WORSE. My boyfriend went in to buy some outlets around 7:45 pm. He is told to go to the costumer service line by employees so he does. When he goes to check out, everything is fine. The card reader says approved and he's almost on his way out until the cashier is telling him he couldn't leave because a receipt didn't print out. He was like , oh I don't need a receipt, but she's telling him that she's unsure that the transaction went through even though she told him to click print receipt. He was forced to wait over 25 minutes over a $30 purchase. The cashier had to call some IT folks to confirm that his order went though. Absolutely terrible experience. They need better management and customer service. This location is trash. read more

There are certain things I go to Lowe's for: light fixtures & paint. What's not lovely is the store is limited as far as colors offered by each manufacturer as are the pamphlets. I have to resort to Valspar apps, Instagram, Facebook and website to see all the options. I decide on the colors and proceed. I'm going for grey. I want a warm oatmeal grey. I've seen it in real life so I know it exists. I pick 7 colors similar and get samples. I come home, not only does nothing look like the swatch, they belong in another color class that's not grey. I do the same again.. I get 6 on my next run. Again, not the same. Curses! I'm foiled by Valspar, but why come?! This method worked when I did my kitchen, office & living room. I go online and do a google image of the color plus Valspar. There before me is the colors I wanted, represented by a jillion random pictures from people's homes. So how pre tell, do I have mauve, pink, purple, burnt sienna when the color was not even supposed to be like that. I'll tell you how.. Your damn paint machine needs to be calibrated and is spewing out a blend of colors that are inaccurate. Those sample paints are like $4 each. I have 13... You do the math! I knew I wasn't color blind. Look Lowe's get your machine fixed or you will have some angry broke homeowners with paint rollers full of random colors ready to charge forth! So, contractor is coming tomorrow and I have not a color to put on my walls. I wanted a warm grey. It really shouldn't have been this hard and cost me $50 some odd dollars to not find. Well, I did find the color.. A few shades of it. But my Lowe's is giving me random colors that make no sense. Le sigh. read more

Terrible store I walked in needing help locating a leaf blower that was clearly in stock. I go to the aisle that the app is directing me too, there are no blowers. I checked online said there were 9 in stock at this store, so I aimlessly walk around the store and not a employee is in sight. I ended up having to walk to the cash registers cause that's the only place an employee can be located. They directed me to customer service and they just paged who ever worked in that department I think his name was Ronald. Ronald never came. So I asked for a store manager thinking they would help me. Nope, he just pages the same person in that department, than walks away and acts like he's going to help me, then sends another employee 2 mins later to tell me they can find it. Is there a loss prevention issue? I just don't understand how leaf blowers go missing. Don't come here employees don't wanna do their job. Pure ignorance at this store read more

Its clean, well lit, nicely stocked and the staff is professional and courteous ( unless you are in the one in Glen Burnie off of Quarterfield Rd).The only issue I can find is locating an employee when you need one in specific sections. They resell returned items without checking them I just bought $18 mole worm baits, got home opened the package to find it contains NO baits, only gloves and flags. Apparently someone bought, removed the baits, then returned the rest to get their money back - fraud Lowes couldn't care to check the items people return, they just put the empty box back on the shelf. I went to the flooring department. Not a soul in sight. Finally found an associate in the appliance department requested assistance. Page flooring associate. 10 minutes later and still no assistance. Finally I head to the front of the store. The flooring associate was in a meeting and no one could tell me how long the meeting would last. I had enough. I switched to Home Depot. Better service. I've wasted over a month of my time trying to get my kitchen cabinets and to remodel the kitchen ordered from Lowe's. They have terrible customer service. after I paid the $49 fee for the guy to come do the measurements, it took several emails to finally get someone to come do the measurements. Now I can't get the person that did the measurements to send them to Lowe's. It's been two weeks. the girl from Lowe's even called me and asked me to call the guy who did the measurements, Anthony, to see if I could get through to him, which of course he didn't answer the phone. This is a terrible way to do business. At this point I want my money back and I'm going to go to someone else. I bought 3 doors at Lowes $4000 I had to special order one and that takes 2 wks then it arrived and the installer takes 2 more weeks to install, my date finally arrives and the installer shows up with only two doors bcus the special order door came in the wrong size!! I called lowes and I shared my frustration bcus weve been waiting for door installation in order to proceed with siding installation. I now have to wait 2 more wks for door than 2 wks for installation then siding.... all lowes said was yes you are correct its the wrong size and we can order you another one? I purchased a dump cart from here and it was defective. I know this is not the stores fault. The customer service rep helping with the exchange was understanding and helpful unlike their manager. Doss was the manager on duty at the time and he was not understanding or helpful. He was really rude when explaining the return policy and did not care about the inconvenience caused by the defective product. When I purchased the cart I used a $20 off $100 coupon. When doing the exchange the manager did not give me the discount. Due to his attitude and not honoring the coupon I used when I first purchased I decided to return the product and get my money back instead of an exchange. Next day went to use the washer and it does not drain. Cloths where still dripping wet. Tried to call kept being put on hold, had to take the 35 min drive there. They did not know the return policy, they wanted me to exchange for another one. Told me that the 30 day warranty would not start over, still from the day I bought it, which would leave me with 2-3 days to see if it work and run back to the store for a refund. I decided to get a full refund. GOOD LUCK!!! After the washer was pick up I was told to call the store for the refund to start. Never got though called for an hour and half kept being put hold. The plastic for protecting the car has been out for two weeks though I have asked for it each time.
