I normally use the pros desk at other Lowe's, but my normal person left Lowe's, so I went to my local Lowe's to try to place orders through the pro desk there and wow, I would never use the pros desk here! It has been a nightmare to try to place an order. Calls not returned and order never placed. When calls are answered at the pro desk, they will keep placing on hold instead of talking to the customer. When I have worked with them, they have had terrible customer service. It's been a total waste of time, which is wild because they get credit and bonuses off the orders pros place and I have spent over 50-100k at home improvement stores within 6 months on renovations, so my sales are very easy for people to make money off of. I also place my orders in a quote for them and all they have to do is push it through to get credit. I will place my orders with other Lowe's. read more

Because of some political stands that Home Depot has taken lately, I have been going to Lowe's more. Walking into this particular store I saw a big sign regarding their Spring Fest, where they have specials on appliances, paint supplies, gardening items and more... The store is about the same as other Lowe's, I went to check on some pull chains for a ceiling fan/lamp we have and the selection was very good. The traffic on Mineral Springs is usually tough to deal with, but if you can go during off peak hours, it's not that bad. read more

I bought a dishwasher from Lowes on July 06, 2024. Lowes hired CRST to deliver and install it. The installers damaged the dishwasher (dents) and did a deep scratch on my wood floors. The installer told us he would call me to come and touch up the scratch. But the scratch was deep and a touch up would not be enough. The same day of delivery I called Lowes and they had me to work directly CRST. The installers were in my house about six hours for a routine job (this shows you how well trained they are). CRST told me they would send someone out to replace dishwasher and close to THREE MONTHS LATER it has not happened. They had me purchase a new one and I would get reimbursed when the damaged one was returned. They sent me about six emails with a delivery date and every time they don't come. I sent pictures of the damage and they asked me to get a quote for it to be repaired. CRST's Christopher Matthews wrote: " Johnny, I just spoke with Jordan. We are going to issue a check for the damage claim. He just wants to make sure you submitted everything..." Then, at every turn CRST tried to get out of assuming responsibility. First, they said we signed a form that says there was pre-existing damage. We did, but we acknowledged damage under the sink (not the deep scratch on the floor). I reminded them that the installer called me a few days after installation (I did not take the call) in accordance that he wanted to do "touch up" . CRST asked me to show them that indeed they called. I did. Then, their response was a photo that supposedly that showed the scratch existing with my old dishwasher. Perplexed, I quickly realized that the photo was altered. In the photo they sent me the old dishwasher did not have the white insulation blanket. I sent them an image I had of the old dishwasher were you clearly see the insulation blanket. This shows that they photoshopped the picture. Then, they argued that that image I provided, showed the scratch. It did not. I wrote a 20+ page report showing they lied and altered evidence. Nothing has resulted. After countless hours I wasted trying to deal with CRST I continued to talk to Lowes Installation Support department. This also lead to countless hours of wasted time. It is important to note that I send my report to Lowe's installation support department that clearly shows that CRST has lied to me, mislead me, manipulated evidence, etc. But, they continue to ask me to deal directly with CRST. For example, a few weeks ago I talked to someone for over thirty minutes. At the end the best they could do is have me schedule an appointment with CRST to deliver the new appliance. I reluctantly did. They scheduled it and I waited again at home and it was never delivered!!! This was maybe the fourth time this happened. Today I got the following email "Just received notice from the CRST informing me that for you to send them an email to their claim department to file an appeal on the denial. If you have any questions, please call (844) 347-5053 them about your scheduled reinstall of the DW." This is absolutely ridiculous. I bought the dishwasher and paid for installation directly from Lowes. Now after all the damage, after CRST has lied to me and manipulated evidence, and three months later they still want me to deal with CRST and not deal with the problem directly. My recommendation is that you do not buy an appliance from Lowes. At least, if they will install it for you ask which sub-contractor they will hire. If they say CRST, run away. read more

We placed an order for 3 exterior doors, paid for 2 months ago. They "lost" one of the doors so only installed 2. Now they rescheduled to install the 3rd this morning, and in the afternoon called and said they didn't have the door. First they accused me of having already picked it up, then they claimed it was never ordered (note it has supposedly been ordered TWICE at this point) and that I never paid for it. Lowes required prepayment. The national installation support I have been dealing with seems great, but I would avoid the North Providence store at all costs. We're currently redoing our bathrooms and we've decided to do it ourselves. Lowe's has pretty much bailed us out of every mess we have created and gave us some new and unique idea of what we could do. The staff has been very helpful each time we have come and actually gave some great advice on other projects we're working on also at the moment. Areas are well marked for ease. The range of products is comparable to other places of this type. The store is clean, bright and well kept. Pricing is comparable, and there is plenty of parking. read more

It's Lowes. The only steady home improvement store in North Providence thar has withheld the test of time. Whether that is because of thier excellent location, customer service or variety of supplies, they're still here serving the community. With that, I do wish they were more involved with their community. There are tones of non-profits, children's programs and more that they could support, and yet don't. They're like a brick house yo crack, and it's very hard to get anyone to speak with about community relations. Outside of that gripe, I really do like this location. They always have nice plants, including great clearance racks that rotate. On more than one occasion. We've dealt with Management about returns, or item issues and they've always been so helpful. There is ample parking. The contractor door is in a less than perfect location, but otherwise no issues with the lot. Typical Lowes. Nothing super special. read more

Worse store ever I purchased a grill assembled got it home screws falling off went to light it almost blew up in my face because the pipe for the gas line was underneath instead of over it so the gas just went out in the air and when tried to light it , it blew up. Brought it back wanted to give store credit instead of my money back and they didnt have anymore grills in stock I had the receipt but needed to go on the credit card in which I purchased it on . They said couldnt use it online had to be in store. Found another grill there that they gave me for the same price was supposed to be assembled and delivered in 5 days . here we are 10 days later no grill after the last 3 days keep telling it will be delivred the next day. If you've been to one big box hardware store you've been to all of them . This is not about what is inside of Lowe's on Mineral Spring . This is about Lowe's reserving parking for military . These military spaces are closer to the door than the handicapped spaces . And exactly why does there need to be military parking ? If a military person had physical issues they would qualify for a parking placard from the state . This would allow them to use handicapped spaces . As it stands these military spaces allow a strapping young 20 year old a parking space closer to the door than it does an 80 year old cane using man with a placard . I am not hating on the military . My dad was a Purple Heart recipient . I guess I am not really understanding what Lowe's is doing with military parking . But they should know it is hurting people with special needs . read more

This place is a nightmare. Forever to get someone to open a cage for a power tool, no one recognizes a tool, & then it turns out it's used & returned CLEARLY unchecked. Bought a belt sander that was FULL of paint dust & still loaded with a belt. If that wasn't bad enough, when I brought it back to be returned the employee, Merary, was unapologetic, curt out the gate, & absurdly rude when their policy of inspecting returns was questioned. Lowes - Where customer service goes to die. Purchased stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Got a delivery date with a 3 hour window the night before and told they will call you 1/2 hour before they come. We removed the microwave, pulled out the stove and emptied 85% of the refrigerator. We left some frozen foods in the freezer with a cooler nearby. It was 85 degrees out. Prior to the "delivery" I realized that they didnt say they were installing the MW so i called the store - after waiting 3 x for nearly 1/2 hr I finally got through and was told thats an extra fee of $159 and the delivery people dont install. I said "you never asked me if I wanted installation and in all honesty I wouldnt have paid $159 ..BUT I would have had someone there to help me..seeing the MW has to go in before the stove. Now what do i do? Suddenly the door bell rings and its delivery guy. I said you were supposed to call. He said I did. I said no you didn't - and of course he said again that he did, I asked what time - he said 12:06. I asked who he talked to and he put his phone away. He's obviously pissed and so am I . He kept saying he called and I said let me see the number you called...NOPE. Let me note: It was pouring that day and he was probably having a bad day but .... I said your installing the water hose right and hooking up stove plug..I said I'm asking because I thought the MW was being installed and just found out from the store that it isn't.. He got really pissed at that and then when he opened the freezer and saw some food in it he flipped. I asked what are you bringing in first - he said fridge - I said we need to empty it and if you had called like you were supposed to it would have been empty. He said " I'm rescheduling for tomorrow and stormed out the door. I chased him out the door asking if he was out of his mind. He threw the hand truck into the truck and they drove off. Stunned - I called N Prov and they said the delivery company would call me back shortly. I told them that driver would not be allowed in my home. After 2.5 hours I called corporate and waited another 1/2 hour only to be told it would take 24 hours before they could call me back to reschedule the delivery. Well its been well over 24 hours and the 2.5 hours and I have not received an email, phone call. I did however get my new Lowes credit card in the mail today. Its already been chopped up into little pieces. I will never walk into a Lowes ever again. They are Hacks. Stay far far away. read more

In general the store is not staffed well, and it's hard to find sound advice on anything. The staff I encountered today was totally incompetent and unhelpful. I needed help in the garden center getting a pallet of stones down from a high shelf. This is clearly something I could not do myself. The person working the garden center was unavailable to help because he "had to watch the back gate" and could not leave his post. He didn't offer to call someone else to help me. I flagged down someone else, who walked away and did nothing. There were two cashiers working in the area who seemed angry from a distance, shouting commands at those in line. I didn't dare approach them. I wandered into the store to try and find help. I was told by 2 employees that they "didn't do the garden center". I stood in the customer service line for 20 min, while one customer held up the line with his issue. Finally, after nearly 2 hours, I gave up and left. They lost a sale today to their competitor. Bottom line, avoid this store if you can. If you need to grab something quick and don't need to talk to anyone, it might be OK. But if you need help with something, well, forget it. By the way, Lowes staff, you're not "essential" if you're not able or willing to do your job. read more

I had a terrible experience with customer service from this store. I ordered mirrors to be delivered to the Warwick store, I paid for and set up a delivery time. The Warwick store told me it would be coming from this store. A really nice woman contacted me and asked if I was ready to pick up. I had ordered delivery though, so she was tried to figure out if it could be delivered. She passed me on to her manager when we tried to figure out the delivery fee, as I'd already been charged for it. The male manager, to be polite, shouldn't be in customer service. He told me that the shipping I'd already paid for, at $65, was for the items from my order that had been successfully delivered (otherwise known as mirror clips) and that if I wanted the mirrors I'd already paid for to be delivered I'd have to pay another $65. He then proceeded to tell me "I didn't understand" because it had originally been shipped to the other store, and so I was supposed to pay for the shipping again. I cancelled my order, I'm selling my stock in the company, and I'm going to Home Depot, because at least they can fulfill orders. read more

I purchased a Husqvarna backpack leaf blower from Lowe's in North Providence. Without the extended warranty the blower carries a 30 day warranty. I used the blower three times in a 45 day period and it did not start easily or run right from the start. I brought it back in to Lowe's, not looking for a return, but to have it serviced. I was told nothing they could do since I didn't purchase a warranty. They said to take it to an authorized dealer. After a speaking with several managers over a three day period I got them to agree to send it out for repair. It came back 10 days later with a $53 service charge for a "dirty carburetor and bad gas". Ironically I purchased the recommended TruFuel mixture from Lowe's when I bought the blower. The blower is brand new - it should not have needed to have been serviced and Lowe's could care less about the customer. Lesson learned - stay away from any major purchase because Lowes will not help you unless you have purchased an additional warranty. Note: the Husqvarna warranty for blowers is two years. But Lowes made it out to be like the customer did something wrong in using the product. Beware! read more

I was purchasing wood at lowes north providence store, the store had very few shoppers that day. I said hello to the cashier on the way in and she ignored me; the wood department was very under stocked and of poor quality , after spending considerable time picking out wood I went to the same cashier who was doing nothing at all. Again I said hello and she began compLaing to me how her job sucked (sic) and she was under paid; what a turn off. She overcharged me eight dollars, I questioned the amount she told she was underpaid again and I could carry the wood across the store and find a manager. I told her to apply at McDonald's because they pay $15 an hour but they might expect her to work. she told to get out of her store and kept mouthing off . I was slightly confused while reading through the other reviews. In my eyes this store is over-staffed with people standing around and talking to each other. Also anytime I try to go up to a staff member they make eye contact from a distance, watch me walk towards them then turn their back when I get close like they don't want to be bothered. This place is an utter shit show. I don't know why I even bother using them anymore at this point. The last time I ordered supplies for a home improvement project, I had both an email receipt and a physical receipt, as well as two witnesses, to the date they said they would deliver the materials. Therefore the contractors were waiting at my house and Lowes never showed up. When I called them they denied they said that was the delivery date even though I had proof. They continued to tell me it was wrong. Once that was rectified I decided to purchase a floor installation. Randy told me he would call me in an hour to give me the price quote. Four hours laterI called and was told he would call me back in 10 minutes. Two hours later. I called and he told me everything was in stock and it was all set to go. That someone would call me back within 48 hours to set up a time. Four days later no one called me back. When I called the store suddenly they didn't have it in stock but would let me know when it was in stock within the next couple of days. A few days later no phone call. I called and spoke to Craig who said he would pick the materials up himself. Then I went into sign the contract and Craig told me to call four seasons to set up the installation. Upon calling four seasons they told me they couldn't do it because Lowes didn't have the materials. It just continues to be a shit show. That entire place needs to be re-staffed. On top of this I've also been calling corporate who continues to tell me that someone will call me back within 24 hours to rectify it this is going on for days in a row and no one has called. They clearly do not give a damn about their customers or their customer service. read more

Let me start this review by saying if I could give Lowe's as a company a negative amount of stars I would. This is not based off one bad experience. It's based on MULTIPLE horrible experiences. This last one, is by far, the straw that broke the camel's back. In April I invited someone from the store into my home for a project coordination. I wanted to have fences installed. I knew it wouldn't be done before the summer started but I figured they'd be done with enough time to allow me a month or two of nice weather. I was told they would be in approximately by 6/26 and that the job would be completed by 6/28. I'm thinking that's fine as if still have a good chunk of summer. My daughter's first birthday was in July and I figured this allowed me time to plan her birthday and host in our yard at our new house. Oh how wrong I was! I wish I had known. I had scheduled a pool installation prior to the party as well, and had to cancel EVERYTHING. In May, I received a call notifying me that the materials had been ordered. I thought everything was running smoothly. On May 30th, I received a call from the third party installation company advising they would not be installing my fences until August 3rd!! Unacceptable. I argued with him and pleaded for an earlier date but nothing. I reached out to Lowe's and got nothing. I worked on this for the entire month of June and some of July until I ended up running into ANOTHER Lowe's related issue and gave up. I figured at this point it was too late - I'd cancel everything and just wait until August 3rd. On August 2nd, my materials get delivered. They are dropped in my driveway (about 40+ bags of 80lbs of cement) blocking my entrance to my driveway (my yard is higher than my driveway - there was a ledge they could have been put on but I guess that was too much to ask for). We live on a main road (don't forget I have a 1 yr old and am now crossing a busy main road to get to my front door). My installer gets there on August 3rd and insist that they cannot finish until Wednesday August 8th meaning I would have an open yard for 5 days. We argued some more and he takes his crew without touching anything. In the meantime I have no idea what's happening. I called the Lowe's store manager who couldn't helped. Called the production team who couldn't help. Called customer service who was beyond rude and unhelpful. Was connected to a "project manager" who spoke to me as if I were an idiot and not a customer paying 5 figures for this installation who had been misquoted and dramatically inconvenienced and then disconnected the call on me. I called back and spoke to a supervisor who told me I could "look up online where to submit a complaint because there was no number to connect me to". I reached out to my project coordinator who could not help me. I finally heard back from the installer who advised he would be there the next day. The next day, he tells me he can't get to work because Lowe's gave him no details and he needed more time. He explained that it would be another two weeks. In the meantime I have emailed my complaint to Lowe's and finally received someone who seems to care. He tells me he is going to have materials delivered by 8/17 and that the installer would be in on 8/20. It is 8/17 - materials were not delivered today. I called the production office and they were unhelpful. They stated the store had moved my date to 8/31 but could not give me a reason why. In the meantime, my summer is pretty much over. My fences are not installed. I have had to take a number of days out of work for NOTHING. I have spent numerous hours on the phone working for Lowe's the way they should have worked for ME as a paying customer and I've got NOTHING to show for any of it. I have already told a number of homeowner friends to avoid Lowe's at all cost. I have told family members to go with Home Depot for their home projects from now on. If I weren't so deep in this process I would have cancelled the whole thing and started it over with Home Depot to be extremely honest. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES. PLEASE FOR YOUR SANITY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. read more

This lowes has only been open for a few years and I find myself there quite often. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking. You can find pretty much anything here. I go for my xmas tree , for paint , for mulch. They always seem to have what I need. This location is organized and clean. The aisles are clutter free and easy to get around. The staff there is always helpful. Whenever I ask For help they always take the time to answer my questions or find what I need. This particular time I needed covers for outlets and switch covers. The associate I asked for help walked me over to the switch plates and said they had move the covers but he will find them. He went and asked and found them for me. It was really great of Him to help me. A lot of time associates will point to an Aisle or say they can't help. He did none of that. It was impressive. It must be a com Good company to work for since everyone was happy and helpful. If you need anything home or lawn relate it's a great place to shop. read more

We had good luck with Lowe's in the past. We always preferred Lowe's over their main large competitor. In the past few years, something changed and their service has gone downhill. We've used Lowe's to replace every major appliance in our house, but after our most recent experiences, I will never use them again. We'll stick to local providers in the future. read more

They just opened a couple days ago and boy does some of their staff need training. I'm not going to knock them stars for it though because... They just opened. Besides that, we had super helpful people help us around the store. The girl in paint (whose home store is Plainville) was great at helping us choose a good brand, color and consistency. She told us all about her own recent painting project which made us feel comfortable and trust her opinion. And the room we painted came out great so it was a big success. We also bought a washer & dryer and were helped promptly and the guy helping us was very knowledgeable about the setup and what extra stuff we needed to buy in order to install it correctly. He even gave us a few pointers. Overall, very happy that Lowes moved in. read more

My husband and I had two carts, one filled with masonry supplies and the other with plants and bird seed. We wanted to look at the chain saws but we were unable to bring the carts with us because the way was obstructed by store machinery so we left the two carts at the end of the aisle, out of the way of traffic. Less than ten minutes later, they were gone. Over zealous employees must have decided that they were abandoned and returned them to their respective departments to be restocked. We were able to retrieve the cart with the building supplies but one of the plants (the only one of its kind) was gone. read more

Bought a John Deere riding mower that i used the stores special financing one....../month does by, got my bill, still no mower. Call Lowe's (1st time) it will be there Friday. This is a pretty standard Lowes store. It is well stocked, clean, and the staff is helpful. We got useful advice when buying a lawnmower. This was the only place that seemed to have ice melt in stock at the beginning of one of the terrible snowstorms in 2015. They have a good variety of bird feed. The garden section is fine but I rarely buy anything in it because I find a better selection and better prices at Home Depot. During weekend afternoons during this summer twice they've only had a small number registers open (i.e. 1-2 in garden, 1-2 in the main store). It is unusual to see lines so long in a suburban big box store but really 10 or so minutes waiting in line is not that terrible in the whole swing of things. read more

Purchased two storm doors, installer measured for the install. Store associates stated everything in stock and installation appt would be made in 24-48 hrs. Almost a week later still no call, I've called twice was told by one person the doors were not in stock, would take several weeks. Was told by other person all was ready to go and he would call installers and call me right back. No call back. Will never shop here again. Ready to cancel order and get refund.
