Service is getting worse every day. They don't have a single checkout open, watch you check out yourself and then demand to see the receipt when the alarm goes off walking out the door. Either staff the registers, or lose the attitude when your inventory control systems send off false alarms. Once I can write off to a surly employee; Second time my wife marked it up to Not enough staff. This is the third time. That's management that doesn't care. I'm done with these people. From now on, it's Amazon for stuff I don't need right away and Ace for anything I need immediately. Ace may be more expensive but at least they don't treat the customers like a inconvenient interruption in their day. Don't buy carpet here!!! I ordered carpet to be installed at my house. There is a piano on wheels in the living room that needed to be moved. The original installer agreed to move the piano. By the time my carpet arrived, Lowes changed installers. The new installers would not move the piano, therefore I had to get a refund. Lowes did NOT honor their contract. Well they sent it to a location closer to you for assembly and delivery. Where is it then. We don't know but your best bet is to refund your money and find a store where it's in stock. This is the closest home improvement store to our home so we end up here quite a bit during home projects. I must say I prefer their competitor but sometimes it's not timely to make that drive. My biggest complaint here is lack of customer service. You have to go hunting for people and several times we've been sent to the wrong area or told that it's not their department so they don't have an answer to our query. I would expect an employee to try to find an answer and not just leave us still looking for an item or an answer. I purchased a White Cabinet online and when I opened the box there was no back to the cabinet. I called and spoke to someone in Customer Service and she told me that I would have to return it to the store. I explained that the box was in pieces because that was the only way I could get all of the parts out of the box. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me the same thing. The store itself is fine, but don't ever have anything delivered. I wish today was the first time I've had an issue with these people, but unfortunately it is not. We were given a delivery window of 10am to noon. At 1215 I called the delivery number because we had yet to see a truck and had not received a phone call stating that anything had changed. I was informed that THE TRUCK DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE STORE UNTIL 1130!!! Come on, Lowe's. People are forced to plan their day around the delivery schedule that YOU promise. If something changes, you owe it to your customers to call them and inform them of the change. Now we are forced to cancel what we had planned for this afternoon (in addition to the plans we ALREADY cancelled to accommodate the delivery) because NOBODY at your store thought it was important enough to call some customers. And let's be honest here. Someone purchasing something that requires delivery ha already spent a good deal of money. Probably not the customer you want to alienate. I know, I know. It isn't REALLY your fault. As it was explained to me, you have a 3rd party that schedules your deliveries for you. But for anyone with any sense of logic that may read this: in what world does it make sense to insert someone that does not work for Lowe's between a sale at a Lowe's store and a delivery carried out by Lowe's employees in a Lowe's truck? Am I the only one that feels this might lead to a disconnect between the store and its customers? We shouldn't have even had to wait until today. You have signage ALL OVER you Appliance Department that states "Free Next Day Delivery". We made our purchase on Friday morning just after the store opened and were told that there were no deliveries available the next day and that we would have to wait until Sunday to replace our broken oven (which was a Lowe's purchase). Fix your delivery service. The Middleburg or Old St. Augustine Rd stores may not do it any better, but I won't give your store the ability to screw things up again. Is it me or does anyone else get happy when they smell fresh cut lumber? Well I will admit that I am that guy who will walk around a hardware store for hours and only buy a box of bolts. My wife hates it when we have to go get anything from Lowes because I become a kid on Christmas Day. I was very pleased with the customer service I received. Every associate I encountered was knowledgeable in their particular area which was great. I never had to purchase a brand new washer/dryer set in my life but Gary help me narrow my choices down to chose the right one. I also ended up buying a lawn mower and a patio furniture set. I also received great service in these departments as well. The store service was excellent and delivery went smooth as well. The morning of delivery there was a minor hiccup but Dana squared it away for us without us having to return to the store. With all questions, changes and "oh wait I want theses also", we never seem like we were a burden. This made a great shopping adventure in my book. read more

Bought mulch stuff is on sale for two dollars a bag got 10 bags at home all the bags Dis-colored mulch only opened 1 bag. Simply wanted to exchange the mulch or a different brand that wasn't discolored. Had to speak with three managers finally the general manager of the store Joel before that was authorized. Went back 30 minutes later to get another load of mulch to finish the rest of the house general manager had gone home and even though I had a receipt if they price matched it everybody refuse to do the price match so now I have to go back early in the morning it will be my third trip to try to find a general manager to override mulch at a cost of an extra dollar a bag on 10 bags absolutely ridiculous. Spoke with the head cashier she said she couldn't do hope with the assistance of Illinois for Judy she said she couldn't do and try to speak with the garden manager he told me to wait a few minutes if you'll be right back 20 minutes later he left me standing there in the garden center. Store itself is nice, sometimes hard to find items. Customer service and return situation makes you feel like a idiot if you've never done it before. The "exit" door is the entrance to the return desk. So if you have to do a simple exchange, you go and return the item first, THEN you go shopping for the item you just had returned and hopefully you'll find the right one. The employee at the Returns station may or may not be nice. The lady I got made me feel like a idiot, paper waster and a completely incompetent human. A simple, "This is how returns/exchanges work." Would have sufficed. But instead I was made to feel that I wasted paper, time, and that I should not come back. read more

This is like every other Lowes, which has everything you could need to improve or worked on Holmes. This Lowes was clean and looks like well-maintained. All the shelves seem to be fully stocked. But I was looking for some help and had trouble finding an employee (plumbing). The employee that I finally found was very helpful but had no expertise in plumbing because they worked in electrical. I was shopping for a DeWalt reciprocating saw. When I went to Lowes on Oldfield Crossing, they were out of the item, however the associate searched his phone and showed me that the Lowes Orange Park store had 5 of the units. I took a pix of his screen showing 5 units. Then I drove to the Orange Park store despite the traffic. When I got there there were no associates near the tools section, so I asked customer service. They found the person in charge of tools who checked his phone and said they had zero units. I showed him the screenshot from the other store showing they should have 5 units, and he replied "Well the computer doesn't always know what's in inventory." Really? Isn't that the purpose of a point of sale system? I eventually found the item at a Home Depot, but that will be the last time I ever use the Lowes Orange Park store! read more

Get phone call that my order has arrived at store. I come in, I am greeted by CIARA at the service desk. Tell her I am here to pick up order I did in store which were shutters. She doesn't know how to look up order. Has to ask other associate. She then is instructed by the other associate to look me up on system by phone number. She then asked what did I order....shutters like I already told you. Can I give 0 stars? I ordered a dishwasher back in May. They finally got around to installing it on June 10. The dishwasher had several dents and they were supposed to replace it. After a few calls, I finally got a confirmation that they would be here between 3 and 6. Another day off work, but oh well. it was a NO SHOW. After nearly an hour on hold, I hung up an called again. I went in a couple days ago looking for an exterior paint for my house. I went to the front desk in the paint department and a WONDERFUL gentleman named Julian assisted me. I was looking at the Sherman William's Weather Shield brand, he informed me of the price which was a little out of my price range. I told him and he said that it shouldn't be a problem and informed me to come back tomorrow that way it would be discounted to $9!! He made the paint and left it on the shelf for me. I am so annoyed with Lowe's, I ordered a vanity top from Lowe's was told it would take 3-4 weeks. After about 3 weeks I finally get a phone call that my vanity top is in and later that day I drove to Lowe's to pickup the top. After waiting 45 minutes for them to bring the top to the front of the store, I'm told they can't find it. They then question if I received notification that the top was in, I confirmed I had received a phone call and also pulled up the status while waiting which showed the vanity top was at Lowe's in Orange Park. They asked me to wait just a little while longer because they had one more place to look. Finally after waiting almost an hour they say they can't find it but will have it delivered the next day at their expense. I was told I would receive a phone call the next morning to confirm a delivery time, so I have been hanging around the house all day waiting for a phone call or delivery, the delivery never came as promised. So I called again the next day since again I did not receive a call with delivery time, I was told it was scheduled for delivery but for some reason it wasn't placed on the truck and was told I would receive a call back, which I did about 5 hours later. The first call I was told the driver was loading the vanity top on the truck and would be headed to my house in about 10 minutes. It's almost laughable the service was so bad but after again the delivery did not happen. I received another call and was told they were having mechanical problems and would call back, they did not call back as agreed. However surprisingly I received a call the next day Saturday from the manager again saying the truck would be headed to my house in about 10 minutes. After so many broken promises I had my doubts but they finally delivered. Totally unacceptable service, wasted two days waiting for delivery. read more

We purchased a washer one year ago from lowes and also purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The washer went out over a week ago and we have had not luck getting the warranty department to call us or email us back. We tried the first two days calling at night and spoke to two different individuals who could not understand English very well and after trying for over 45 min on each call we hung up frustrated. We called the store and the guy in appliances helped my wife during the day reach someone there and they filed a claim on a three way call. 48 hours has passed and not a word. My wife called again and was on hold over an hour and finally hung up. I went to the local store in orange park and they tried on the phone only to have hang up after 15 min of being on hold. I spoke with the store manager Robby And he said it was pretty much out of their hands after 6 months. He did say he would send a complaint to corporate. As much as I hate to say this I would not recommend purchasing appliances from lowes as you do not get the support from lowes. We have purchased many items over the years. My next step will have to be the better business bureau. read more

It's difficult to sum up such an extremely frustrating experience, but I'll try my best. The initial agreement with Lowe's was that our cork flooring install would likely be completed prior to our move-in date to our new home. Instead, on move-in day, we were met with a partially completed kitchen floor due to running out of flooring, visible gold underlayment along the edges of various areas due to such jagged cuts, and two improperly installed areas that clearly needed to be redone. When we finally gathered the fortitude to call Lowe's to finish the job, we were told the original subcontractors were let go due to their ineptitude. The new subcontractors assessed the situation and agreed to finishing the job and redoing the two areas with original installation issues. Unfortunately, the one issue required the entire living room/dining room floor to be ripped up in order to have a leveling compound added. This resulted in our large living space turning into a sea of mud that would not dry for a week, which would have been much longer had I not finally lost my patience; only then did they suddenly came up with a quick fix. When the job was finally completed, almost a year later I might add, instead of relief, we were faced with lost wages due to my not being able to work from home many days due to the continued work or failed attempts at work, the costs of having to eat out for many meals which we typically avoid, the stress of it all of course particularly on our young children, and most importantly, the fact that the new crew sawed all boards inside our house without our knowledge or consent. When the job was completed, we were met with thick piles of dust throughout all the floors and on all countertops, and it literally took a month or more to clean dust from all the cupboards, etc. Unfortunately, we also learned at our next a/c maintenance appointment that our secondary air cleaner had died and that our air ducts needed cleaning; both were fine at our last appointment so logic would say that the extreme amounts of saw dust caused the issues. The cost? Over 1K for a new air unit and about 700 for duct cleaning. I should also add that the two issues that were "redone" only have new issues - the living room floor now has a very large bubble and the hall area has a visible gap between floorboards. We decided we'd personally rather live with the issues than deal with Lowe's any further. The basic message is this - spend a few "extra" dollars to go with another contractor, not a subcontractor through Lowe's! read more

Okay so I went got a cactus for my nephew and the flower was dead that's completely fine until my nephew saw this white thing dripping from it and on further inspection it was hot glue holding flower together so I took it back got a refund when I showed the customer service woman she said " what the fuck" it was completely inappropriate I let it slide and went to get a new cactus just to find they all were super glued so I picked something completely different went back to same lady and as talking to a coworker right in front of me said " all my customers have been idiots today I need a brandy" that was completely inappropriate terrible service read more
