Why is alway you need something at a certain store but wind up back loads of other times. A few days later and I'm back here again. The good thing, parking is great... lol... That's always a deal breaker. If there's no parking, I'll pass. Needed some things in the garden section which let me say it's pretty massive. They have loads of plants on hand. You think as it's the desert, they tend to stick to cactus and succulents but there was loads of everything. Both indoor and outdoor plants. The staff were alway very friendly and helpful. Every question I had was answered which was great. Still haven't been through the whole store yet as it's massive. Maybe the next visit as I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's as part of a home remodel. The very first time I used it, it leaked water all over my kitchen floor. The manufacturer sent an independent repair technician who determined the unit had a manufacturing defect and could not be repaired. He confirmed it needed to be replaced. While Lowe's agreed to replace the dishwasher, they told me I would have to pay out of pocket to have the defective unit removed, transport it back to the store, pick up the replacement, and then pay again for installation. In other words, I was expected to cover the costs for their defective product. I've spent a significant amount of money at this store over the years and purchased almost everything for my remodel here. This experience was extremely disappointing and not how loyal customers should be treated. read more

After years of using HD, across the street, I'm tired of the increasing number of hassles and inconveniences. After my last game, I snapped and decided to try anyplace else and drive across the street to check out Lowe's. I needed concrete and, honestly, I didn't think Lowe's would have it. I was wrong. Not only did they have what I needed, at the same price as the other place, they had the carts to load it and a cleaner store! Since I was there, I checked the tile selection and was happy to see the selection was very good, a bit larger than HD perhaps. Maybe it's just more organized, or more care is given to the store layout and organization, but I found the tile I was looking for and spent another $2k. I'm still checking out the Pro perks, since I enjoyed them across the street, but even if they are less, I'll be coming here more, because I can just buy stuff and leave, instead of dealing with companies that don't appear to care about its customers. My only trouble was this Lowe's, picking up heavy items. I ordered ahead got a text my order was ready for pickup. I went to the area it was placed before, but there was nothing for me and was told to go to the order pickup desk. Nobody was there, so I went to the register next to it and waited in line. The guy was friendly and helpful. He called someone to get the order. He sent me back to where I came from. (Got exercise, walking the store length). I waited 15 minutes, then went back to ask if the order was actually ready. He told me it was coming right out. I walked back and waited. A bit more than 25 minutes of waiting and I see someone slowly pushing a cart with bags of concrete. Slowly is an understatement. When he eventually arrived, he brought the cart to my truck and I began loading the bags. He helped load two, and was on his phone while I loaded the rest. I think this experience was an anomaly, but I'll use a different location for this type of order in the future. It would have been significantly faster to have just bought it when I arrived. Lesson learned, since I had guys working and waiting that I pay by the hour. From the speed the Lowe's worker pushed the cart, I think he's paid by the hour too. However, given the many hassles I've had with mail order, finding carts to load lumber and concrete, ineffective customer service, and the way the store culture doesn't seem to consider the customer, I've left HD for everything I can find elsewhere. I've found local business lumber yards and concrete place that will deliver for less than I would have expected. I even found a couple great tile places, and started using Lowe's. Took me a couple years to finally give in and look at options. Guess I'm stubborn? read more

Had an exchange and had a horrible experience at the return/customer service counter. Jeanette was quick to to say no. Interrupted me before I could could even explain. I stated that I would like an exchange (with receipt) for an item because it was an open box/ open item. She said absolutely not because they do not resale this item. I completely understand and appreciate that as a customer. My point is that because I know Lowes would not knowingly sale an open and or dangerous item. I came in with 24 hours to correct situation. When I open item it had already been gone through ripped packaged and part had been put together. Hence for second trip in 24 hours. She again stated that what I was saying could not be accurate. It could not have been open and she will not give me an exchange or offer any help. Any solution. Nothing. She did not offer any further assistance or recommendations. This concerns a purchase of range and microwave. The sales guys in appliances were terrific! The back office and installation are below par. Range delivery guys couldn't install new range because they couldn't figure out how to unhook old range. They left range in garage and I had to hire a handyman! I just moved in the area full time and needed a home improvement store to go to. This Lowe's is the closest one to my place according to Yelp so I decided to give this Lowe's a try. I must say I was a little surprised by how bad the reviews were but kept an open mind. I needed some wood pieces to make a few shelves. I had just walked into the store to look around. Within a mins, someone yelled from across the aisle "Can I help you?" His name was Jay. I told him what I was looking for and Jay took me to the aisle and showed me all the choices. I got what I needed and Jay cut the wood to the sizes that I wanted. Jay was very careful to put some duct tape on the wood to minimize fraying. No one had ever done that before. Normally, cutting the engineered wood by an electric saw would cause the wood to fray very badly. I always have to buff it out when I get home BUT not this time! I also needed some products to fix my dameged polished concrete floors. I went to the flooring department and the associate was very nice but wasn't 100% confident what product might be the best fit for my project. He said we needed to go and see this guy who is very knowledgeable about floors. The associate took me to the knowleasgeable guy and it was Jay! Jay knew exactly what I needed for my floors. I was very impressed by everyone here, everything from asking me if I had any questions, helping me decide what I needed to cutting wood plank to the sizes that I wanted with such care. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at a home improvement store. I am so glad this Lowe's is the closest store from my house! read more

February 22nd I bought a backpack leaf blower. It was up top and a dude got it for me. I was on my way to Tucson but bought the blower here. Got to Tucson and the backpack blower portion was missing. It had the two batteries and the charger, but no blower. I had to buy another one in Tucson and they wouldn't let me return it there, saying it was a display and I'd have to return it to where I got it (5 1/2 hours away). So I went to return it and the cashier Jenny must've thought I was lying, she called her boss David (store manager she said) and he said I couldn't return it since the blower was missing. I asked to talk to David as the blower being missing was the reason I was returning it. She hung up with him said he would come talk to me, and went to help another customer. It seemed like 15, but was probably only 10 minutes and David called Jenny. Initially David asked why the price was reduced, thinking because the blower wasn't in there or something, but I let them know it's because of the veterans discount. So when he called back, he asked about the price, and approved the return. I told them I bought another one in Tucson and I had proof of purchase. They never check the blower area of with a lawn and garden associate to see if the blower wasn't still at the store. It made me feel like I was doing something wrong, when in reality, I bought a $700 piece of equipment that wasn't complete in the box, was denied a refund (or exchange) at the Oracle Tucson store by JoJo, then after driving 5 1/2 hours to return this, I was at first denied. They should probably be apologizing to me. I had to drive my F250 pulling a trailer all the way back out here and then back. I don't know the miles, but that 3-4 fill ups on a 30+ gallon tank. $100 per fill up in AZ and $140 per in Cali. I probably would've been better off lighting it on fire. In general, I like Lowe's because they give a veteran discount. But I'm pretty upset with how all this went down. I won't say I'll never be back, but it won't be anytime soon. Everything they sell can be bought elsewhere. It's customer service that set you apart. Right now, I have zero confidence in the customer service at Lowe's. The sad thing is, I stopped shopping at Home Depot because it was a pain to set up the veterans discount there and they would have like 1 person per 2 departments, and could never help. My whole family have been faithful Lowe's shoppers for years. With two house remodels we clearly spend a good amount of money here. Not anymore - not ever! Went there this week, I had a big shopping list and a full cart. Moving to the cash register - there is not one, there is only self checkout. Of course I am NOT doing their work it's not like I get paid for it. The arrogance and attitude of non-costumer-serve of Lowe's is staggering. They force people into self checkout so they dont have to pay more people. Two attendants at the self checkout is joke with 8 people like obedient sheep standing in line. It hurts to have to take stars off for this one but there's a pattern I'm observing here.. Whenever shopping here my service is stellar out on the floor or at the cashier, the other is lackluster and might I say annoyed?? The last time I visited here, the employee in the appliance section was stellar. The woman helping at the register was so angry she full on started an argument with me. And even snatched my card from me. Do better! I have no idea why the employees would be so aggressive or even agitated. HOWEVER in todays climate it's definitely not safe for employee nor customer. NEVER AGAIN. This employee was very rude and said to wait until after he stocks some boxes. I came into this Lowes to check for tiles at 7:00am. I waited in the same aisle 20 mins passed and he didn't say anything to me so I asked another employee and he said the worker Tony could help but I let him know he already said he was busy. Tony saw the employee helping me and he YELLED out 'There's already 2 people ahead' which he did not inform me, plus when I arrived early there were NO customers. I've been to all the Lowes in the valley since I have property clients. The other worker helped me and simply scanned the tile in 2 mins. This worker Tony woke up angry, did not have a good attitude Or he is rude and lazy, because Fred the supervisor had to come assist me and check the quantity of a few tiles in stock that I asked for. This review is about a man named Les. I am moving to Washington state. I had to refresh our house before vacating. The same house where I distant-taught during a quarantine with a 2 and a 4 year-old. I had been working my butt off with dust, crayon and sharpie. I used nail polish remover for sharpie and vinegar for crayon. Nothing could get the pink marker off. I also had a cut on the tip of my finger even gloves couldn't protect. Les took the time to go through everything with me: Goof Off for the crayons, magic marker, sharpie and desert sand (still need those magic erasers for crayon and it came right off). The sharpie needed some elbow grease. A tube of High Strength Small Hole Repair with a built in sander to even out the TV mount holes. Someone tipped me off later that toothpaste and sandpaper work too! Scotch Blue Tape for painting (the blue doesn't leave residue) (I am a poet and I didn't know it). Kilz Interior paint weather sealer and severe stain blocker. He also gave me a Trisodium Phosphate to put in boiling water and scrub off spray paint. All in all $47 with a paint roller. The house looks better than when I moved in. Thank you, Les! For the outdoor toddler painting that didn't blow right off with a hose, he suggested I bring in a little chip off the stucco and they can mix to match it. I had 36 concrete pavers delivered. Once unwrapped, I discovered 8 were broken. I went to customer "service" and showed pictures of the broken pavers. Anthony and Melania from Lowe's stated I needed to bring the (heav) broken cement pavers to them. I stated that they could pick them up when they delivered replacements. They refused, gave me a bunch of attitude (told me to "sit down") and after furtive calls with mgmnt finally and grudgingly refunded the amt for broken pavers. Anthony and Melania are a poor choice for customer service. I'll be going to Home Depot, Builders Supply and Ace from hereon. read more

Usually this location is my go to for garden, hardware, home decor etc. however I tried made a refrigerator purchase six months ago which I ultimately cancelled because Lowe's failed to make the delivery two days in a row. The warehouse "couldn't find" my selection. No one contacted to me see if I wished to select an alternate. I opted to repair the old refrigerator and cancelled my order. Three days ago the old refrigerator quit again and the repairman suggested I buy new. I shopped Lowes where during the first trip there was no salesperson in the appliance area. I reviewed items on the floor and in frustration went to Home Depot across the street. The Home Depot sales person was busy. (Another issue is she didn't bother to acknowledge my presence) One star review for Home Depot also. Doesn't anyone care about customer service anymore? I went back to Lowe's as they had a model that I liked with supposedly deliver today, Saturday. Salesperson S1026JV1 I didn't get his name. Didn't leave his station until I went to ask questions. He seemed too busy chatting with another sale person to bother with me. Finally, writing up the order I clarified my phone number twice and gave him the gate code for my complex. No word from Lowe's yesterday concerning my delivery which was to have been made today so I called Lowe's customer service at the store here. The woman who "helped" me had horrible phone manners but finally found my order and informed me that it would be delivered between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM today. At noon I contacted Lowe's corporate by phone as I couldn't access the order online. Turns out the sales persons transposed the last two digits of my phone number. Even though I had him confirm the correct number when he was Inputting the order. I was Informed that the delivery driver was at the gate at 11:00 this morning but couldn't get in because they had an incorrect phone number and no gate code. The order was returned to the warehouse. Supposedly rescheduled for delivery tomorrow. Twice they have bungled an almost $2,000 order. read more

I suppose it's my fault for not checking - but it's a little tough once it's all loaded in your car while you're inside paying. This was supposedly a fresh shipment of sod from Friday and I purchased the next day. Tough to return sod when you get all the way home, dump the rolls into your wagon, drag it a quarter of an acre to your backyard and unroll a dozen 40 lb beasts. Hoped to see if there's even one good one. There wasn't and they are impossible in this condition to roll back up without breaking. So I've laid them out and going to try to rehab them but have big doubts and likely wasted over $100 :-/ Not the quality I received with previous purchases - not even close. I ordered a Bar B Q over a week ago that was in stock and I was to pick it up. They charged my credit card and I have heard nothing from them. I repeatedly called and they said they would call back within an hour. Never heard from them. I call back multiple times and through the shuffle of people I was transferred to, the call gets dropped. Renaldo from Customer service either does not know how to transfer a call to the manager or their phones work like crap. The call gets dropped. I called back while writing this review and was dropped 2 more times. They know I want to talk to a manager, but they don't return calls. read more

We just had the worst experience at the Palm Springs Lowes. We were forced to pick up a water heater from the Victorville Calif Lowes because it wasn't available any where else. And no one would deliver it. It turned out it wouldn't fit - we never opened the box - we found out by measuring. We called the Victorville Lowes and we're told we could return it to any Lowes. Sunday at 9:30a. Store is quiet except for returns. I need help getting some blinds cut. First person who is a checkout clerk says she isn't authorized to call for help and that I have to go to customer service. I go there and there is a line of 5 people. One of the two people is getting ready to leave that area and I ask if he can call for help. "Nope, wait in line." and he walks off. I go to the front and ask for help again. 3 minutes pass and no one makes an effort whatsoever despite no one in line. This is Lowe's Palm Springs. A lowly paid workforce that does not care. We recently moved to Palm Springs from Oregon and this particular location is by far the worst store. We had to go into the Palm Springs Lowe's at least five times during our stay and each time there was never anyone around to help us. So then I reverted to try calling them on the phone to schedule an appointment for a door installation, I have was transferred three times, call was disconnected twice, and after an hour on hold got this last time got disconnected again. I understand about being short staffed and all but why is it so difficult to schedule a door installation that you have advertised?? Finally went to La Quinta Lowe's and immediately noticed how helpful their staff was. read more

Had the worst experience here. I'd say if you are going to buy something you need for the house and it's small, it's fine--they actually have some nice people working there. However, DO NOT buy something and have it delivered. They have the worst delivery service. Items were missing and damaged (which I understand occasionally happens), but then provide service because you messed up! But no, when you call to try to fix the situation, they place you on hold for half hour and when you do reach someone, they have no idea about your order. After 3 attempts, still don't have the items. Now, trying to cancel the order completely. AVOID deliveries here. If you can take it in your truck and assemble it yourself, good. But otherwise, go with Home Depot or Walmart or Costco or somewhere else. Will never arrange for delivery again at Lowes. Horrible! read more
