And maybe if the girl with the purple hair wasn't so busy flirting with the tall guy in the front of the store and the back of the store maybe they could help. Geez get a room! This is for Lowes and their customer care service. I have spoken to over seven people at customer care today. Speaking to each and every one of them at length. My frustration is at an all time high. My contractor from Poway informed me of a tile at Lowes for $1.55/square ft and he said that it was a good price. I live in Carlsbad and own a property in South San Diego. I looked at the exact same tile online and it was for $1.11/square ft at the Carlsbad branch. Somehow, I couldn't place the order so I called customer care to place the order for me. She verified that indeed that was the price posted online. These people need to be set aside and counseled: Cassie - we spoke to her initially about our order. We specifically told her that we needed 1100 square feet worth of tiles. She informed us that we would need 280 planks which would equal to 56 boxes (5 planks per box). I saw the specific product online at the Carlsbad Branch for $1.11 per square feet. She placed the order for us and had it delivered. Our card was charged in the amount of $1,135.04. Our order was delivered and only 56 planks were delivered. I called customer care again and Michael answered. He said that 56 boxes should have been delivered to my home. I asked over and over again. Are you sure? 56 boxes, 5 planks per box, 280 planks total. He responded with a yes. He said that someone from the Eastlake office would call me within 24 hours. Marty from the Eastlake office called me and said that, that was impossible. He said that Lowes would lose too much money with that price. I proceeded to tell him that I have the print out of the online price. He wouldn't believe me. He said he'd call me back but never did. I call customer care. Jacklyn - She was very helpful. She corrected my order and scheduled the deliveries. She then sent me a new receipt in the amount of $1,024.93 for the original order and told me to return the product to the Eastlake Office. The original price charged was $1,135.04. I don't know why she took out $110.11. She supposedly cancelled the original order to be picked up and I would get credit for it. She then placed two orders for me, one from Mission Valley where they would deliver 110 planks and Escondido 170 planks. I received a phone call from the Mission Valley Office (ord#90831-1013 - amount charged to credit card $560.52) soon thereafter. They informed me that they only have 109 tiles and if that was okay, they would deliver this Saturday, the 18th. I told them to go ahead. While I was on the phone with Mission Valley, second order from Escondido (ord#33935-2481 - amount charged $843.04) called me and left me a message and said that they only have 150 of the 170 that I originally ordered. I was really upset as I wouldn't have enough tiles to cover my whole house so I called customer care. Julius - he answered my call. He had to get a supervisor on to pull the order as he couldn't pull up the order at all. Brenda (the supervisor) - she answered my call. She told me that my order with Escondido has been cancelled. I got really upset and asked as to why my order was cancelled when I haven't even confirmed the order with them. She proceeded to apologize and said that she would send out a complaint for both Escondido and Eastlake and that Lowes would compensate me for the time I've wasted trying to correct this order. I told her to make sure that my original order was getting picked up as I am not going to waste my time dropping it off at Eastlake and getting a refund. I called Escondido and they were able to place the order for me anyway for the 150 planks. The person I spoke with at the Escondido Branch said that the total price to be charged on my account would be changed to $740.86. I'm still 21 planks short so I had to call customer care again. Sharon - I told her my dilemma.....again. I told her specifically that she needed to speak to whomever she was transferring me to about my problem as I do not want to have to repeat myself. She transferred me to Jennifer - did not have a clue what my issue was. Jennifer - I asked her to make certain that my original order is being picked up by Lowes and she said "No". There's not an order for it to be picked up nor a refund pending. She told me that she would call Eastlake to make sure that they pick it up. I spoke to Adriana Anderson (Asst. Manager at Eastlake Lowes) and she told me that she would issue a refund. The original order was $1,135.04 and I was refunded 1,049.91. My delivery charge was not reversed as Jacklyn has promised. So now, I'm $85.13 short. Now, Jennifer placed an order for me for 25 planks as they come in 5 per box. She charged me $118.26 but I have to pick it up at the Eastlake Branch. Really? After all the hassle of being on the phone for 5 hours, you're going to ask me to pick up an order that should've been delivered in the first place? I'm flabbergasted. I'm angry. I have used lowe's in the past for all my appliances. Recently tried to purchase a dishwasher. Their installation company called after a while and when I said I lived upstairs they said they had to call me back because they needed two people. That was two weeks ago, numerous calls to lowes to find out why I hadn't been contacted. Lowes had to try to get them to respond. Today I heard Pacific installation wanted to charge me $470 to install a 560.00 dishwasher. I cancelled the order. This can't be the best service Lowe's can give to their customers. Ok so I called and spoke with a store manager about the situation. He was very helpful, professional, and eager to earn back my business that he offered a nice discount to my entire purchase of blinds. I indeed took up his offer but when I went back, he wasn't working that day. The store manager on duty also listened to my situation and told him what they other manager offered...to my surprise, he honored it! Refused to accept a return. The item had been opened (a towel rack), but we had found that some of the components were the incorrect color from what was indicated on the box. It was within the 90 day policy. We used to go to Lowe's over Home Depot since, although the prices are higher, they had better customer service...I guess that is no longer the case. read more

I wasn't too happy with Lowe's in general after this week. My fridge broke over the weekend so I went in to Santee Monday to purchase a new one. I purchased the 3100$ fridge. They said they couldn't get the fridge to me until Friday. So I'm stressing. I have no fridge. Living out of a mini fridge with two young kids. Fridge gets delivered Friday & it's damaged. Great. Called and thought they'd fix it as fast as possible. Nope. Won't have a fridge for another 4 days. Lady on the phone said the order was filled at Poway and to go there to figure it out. First, I was helped by Kristi in customer service and she was so sympathetic and helpful. She tried to change the delivery date but was unsuccessful. She called the supervisor Christian to explain the situation. Christian went to the back and really tried to come up with the best action plan he can. they've gone above and beyond to get this corrected. I just want to say thank you to these two. WOW! Beyond Impressed with the positive change at Lowes Poway. This store has done a complete 180 since I posted my review some months ago and I do feel inclined to share my recent excellent experiences. After purchasing my GE Deep Fill Washer last August/September, I had to have a technician come out 4 times. The third trip he found that the control board needed to be replaced. After replacing it, it still did not work properly. All the issues had been recorded with Deb from GE Consumer Services and they wanted to remedy the situation by bringing be a new version of the same washer which I was not an option for me. Completely frustrated, I called Lowe's Poway and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Devlin who did the three things that make all the difference. After hearing me out, he Acknowledged, Apologized and Acted. Within one week of my initial call to Lowes, meeting Devlin in the appliance center, discussing my needs and wants in a washer, I had a brand new MAYTAG washer in my laundry room. Not only did Devlin do everything above and beyond, he enlisted the assistance of Frank and James in the appliance department to further assist. In the process of getting my new MAYTAG washer, I was at the appliance center several times and witnessed an abundance of employee's eager to help. There wasn't one time where there wasn't a Lowe's employee there asking me if I needed any help. I even purchased the matching MAYTAG dryer, and I am happy as clam in high water! I found a large rug I wanted at Lowe's in Poway, but I couldn't handle it on my own. In less than a minute, I found an employee to help. He not only put it on my cart, but when he saw me struggling to move the cart, he took it up to the register for me. Then he helped me with the self-checkout so he could help me out to my car. He put the rug in my car for me. I could not have asked for more prompt and thorough assistance. read more

I'm unsure as to why Poway Lowe's has multiple signs requesting people wear masks and social distance. I was shopping in the garden section yesterday and saw multiple customers w/out masks or who had them around their necks. I understand that you aren't the mask police but you do have the right to refuse them entry to your store if they don't comply. Just ask Costco. What was more disturbing was the fact that none of the employees were social distancing and the vast majority were either not wearing masks or were wearing them around their necks or chins. Folks, you can't expect customers to follow the rules if the employees won't follow them or don't care. COVID doesn't care about your political views. It's an equal opportunity virus. read more

3.5 stars I hadn't been to this newish Lowe's yet since it opened but after coming in recently I may change my go to home improvement store. It's huge, organized, and well lit in here. Also, not overly crowded though it was at a slower time so I'll have to check in at other times. We had the customer service reps check inventory on an item that was out of stock. I'm giving a 5 star based on my appliance shopping experience. My husband and I went looking for the best appliances for the most affordable prices. FYI we did our research online and shopping around. After visiting Home Depot we thought Lowe's was the next step in our decision making process. If your curious Lowe's has a bigger selection of appliances vs Home Depot and I found that Lowe's employees are more knowledgeable based on many shopping experiences. This particular visit we were helped by Leigh Chapman. She was amazing! She didn't pressure us and told us every possible deal/discount/rebate there was! We walked out of there with a big but satisfying purchase (stove, vent hood, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer.) No regrets and still very excited to see all of our new appliances when they arrive! read more

Long story short, it took a total of 3 deliveries. 1st DELIVERY 1st attempt, Mario came over and took some measurements for the pathway leading up to the target area for refrigerator installation.  There are stairs and a landing at the top.  Mario said he cannot bring the fridge in through the narrow opening.  I insisted that there must be a way since my previous fridge has equal to or less than the dimensions of the new fridge.  Mario continued to say it is impossible in a very rushed tone of manner;  he insisted that he had a lot of experience in this yet he had not thought about removing the doors which in LG's user manual stated that door removal was INTENDED to clear tight spaces.  Mario suggesting that he had so much experience and that I purchase a counter-depth fridge or he can leave the fridge outside.  This was infuriating!  Why would we request delivery and installation if the fridge was to be left outside?  In the end, his rushed and response resulting in no fridge at the end of the day while my current fridge stopped working. 2nd DELIVERY I had called Lowes Poway regarding what the next steps are.  We ended up scheduling another delivery and ensuring the delivery man will be someone other than Mario. This 2nd delivery went more smoothly and the refrigerator had it's doors were removed and reinstalled in order to clear the narrow opening succesfully.  However, a dent was discovered on one of the doors (while the fridge was still in the delivery truck) so the delivery man suggested to install now but contact Lowes for the fix. 3rd DELIVERY I talked to Christian at Lowes; after 3 days of waiting while he consulted with his manager on whether to order a new replacement unit or order a replacement part for the door with the dent.  The agreement was that a new order would be created and return the last order to make the transaction more simple and less wait time. The delivery was scheduled but I wanted to check if Mario was the delivery person.  I did not enjoy my first experience with Mario at all!  My contact at Lowes checked and said in the system, the delivery person was not Mario but new hires using Mario's truck, so I agreed to continue with delivery.  When the delivery man arrived, i was relieved until I found out Mario was training the other two delivery men.  Like clockwork, my frustration returned.  Mario again did not feel confident on switching out the fridge, even with ALL THE EXPERIENCE he claimed to have.  Instead, he suggested on swapping out the doors.  However, we had an agreement with Christian at Lowes Poway that the whole fridge unit would be replaced.  Mario did not honor that agreement.  Since he resisted, I called Lowes Poway to ensure management approved the decision and there would be no impact to warranty.  I got a hold of a Lowes associate who put me on hold to talk to her manager.  Meanwhile, Mario called his supervisor.  I became even more frustrated that he did this since now there are two sources of approvals.  It turned out that the manager's decision overrides the supervisors decision anyways so why would Mario try to loop in yet another confusing source of approval?  If Mario just waited 2 more minutes for the manager on my end of the phone line to respond, this additional frustration would not be there.  Ultimately, door swapping was approved.  Mario and his trainee switched the doors out and while producing another issue; vertical door misalignment.  He suggesting installing an open ended spacer which worked temporarily and now has popped out.  During this installation, they had to pull the fridge out of the fridge slot and resulted in some scratch/paint removal on the fridge side.  Then they left. CONCLUSION I am beyond frustrated and at times angry like I have never been in a long time. If it's a simple straight forward delivery and install, i'm sure Mario has a lot of experience but when there's a challenge that other delivery men can successfully perform, he should not have kept pressuring me and telling me that he's sure the fridge cannot clear the narrow opening. Mario suggested leaving the fridge outside which further angered me as I specifically requested to have it delivered and installed, NOT left outside so that I would have to find another delivery company, wait, and pay for the service. Lastly, Mario should not have contacted a 3rd party while I was actively waiting on the phone for a decision by Lowes management. As I mentioned I attempted to avoid Mario by rescheduling delivery to a day where Mario was not delivering yet I couldn't avoid it and the final result is wasted time, energy, and scratch on my fridge. This may explain the 2.5 stars out of 5 stars review on Yelp at Lowes Poway. I think I will avoid Lowes and continue shopping at Home Depot. I've never been so frustrated, disappointed, and angry, simultaneously at a delivery and management of a refrigerator.  Avoid big ticket items requiring delivery from Lowes. I love Lowe's! It was there for me in a time of need. I needed new toilets, new bathrooms mirrors, new vanities and everything else needed for the remodeling of my bathrooms. Why did I choose Lowe's over Home Depot? Before I began my project I visited both places and Lowe's had a better selection of products with similar prices. My contractor had some coupons so I think I ended up spending less here. I also bought many items from Home Depot, but for the big items I chose Lowe's. Most recently I bought several bedroom lights with fans and again I found better selection and price here. So, why 4 stars? The store is very clean and well organized and it's never busy, but that also means that it can be difficult to find someone to help you. I like browsing, but when the time comes to find a worker the place turns into ghost town. Customer service is mostly friendly, but I've had issues there too. I plan to remodel my kitchen soon and Lowe's will definitely be the first place I go to for my project. read more

Never buy your blinds at the Poway store or any other Lowe's in the country. Absolutely the worst service. All I needed was blinds for 4 windows, they said (Terry in blinds) that it would be 2-4 weeks. It took 3 months! And in the meantime, after waiting 2 mos. the blinds that came in were the wrong ones. And they had to re-order. They told me when they came in I would be notified. After a month I called the store and the blinds had been sitting there for 4 days, nobody called me. A total of 3 months before I got the correct blinds. Next time I'll go to 3 Day Blinds. It costs a little more but I get them in a reasonable time. The blinds dept. is terrible. Management needs to change a lot of things in that dept. read more

Horrible customer service. Tried to get simple piece of indoor outdoor carpet snd wasted hake hour snd finally gave up

We were looking to have laminate and carpet installed. However, weeks would go by without an update or return call from the person who was handling our request for quotes. Apparently, the measuring service person bundles some of the measurements, such as "bathroom area" so that if you would like to have a different material installed in the shower/toilet area, instead of the whole bathroom, the measuring person would have to come back after a week. It should not take 3-4 weeks to get a quote, and a good part of that delay was due to a lack of communication. It seems that at least some of the sales people are very young and inexperienced. We ended up going with Home Depot. The one we went to employed older and more experienced sales crews in the flooring department. While our overall experience with HD was not perfect, at least we received updates and inquiries from the installing company and HD. My advice to Lowes in Poway: Establish customer service/communication training with your employees. Let them know it is NOT acceptable to leave customers hanging without updates. read more

Congrats to the Assistant manager Dennis for being completely unhelpful and treating customers badly. Girlfriend needed to return $10 worth of brand new items - was feeling ill gave her ID to me to use for a gift card - told them I could FaceTime her to prove it was her if needed - not good enough. This seems to be against the law for them to deny the return. What if someone is disabled, probably the same answer. So everything about this store is great. The main problem I had was a manager name Donny. He was rude smells really bad with such poor hygiene and acted like he did not wanted to help and kept pushing me to another associate when i was wanting a manager. Its sad that some one who was not a manager was able to step up more then him. Only reason I will be going back cause I can not let just one associate speak for the whole store. Once again I went to Lowes trying to give them business and help keep them operating and once again they did not have the items I needed, a simple 3/4" hose bibb. I checked with a store clerk who informed me they haven't had it for awhile and didn't know when they would, although it showed on-line they had it in the store. Of course covid-19 was the excuse. They also said Home Depot wouldn't have it either. I also looked at some of the plants I needed. The ones I wanted in a 5 gallon they had, only for each one of them they were almost brown due to a lack of care and no watering. That is inexcusable. I went to Home Depot and the hose bibb I needed was on the shelf so I made the purchase there. This has happened several times in the past. This is one of the reasons the Poway Lowes is going DOWNHILL and headed for the list of closures. Really to bad!! read more

Worst experience in buying an appliance! I bought a fridge online and it was backordered which was fine. The date of delivery came and I received a call the morning of stating that there was a dent on the door. They asked if I wanted it for a discount and I said no. They suggested I just order a new door instead of a new fridge because it wouldn't take as long. I agreed and they said the door should arrive 7-10 days. This was on 9/24/16. On Friday, 9/30, I get an automated called from the delivery company stating that my appliance was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday, 10/1, between 5:30-8:30pm. I was surprised and thought to myself that it was extremely fast! 9pm on Saturday came and nothing. I called the delivery company and they said they didn't know where the driver was and could not get in touch with him. Frustrating but fine. I called Lowes on Sunday, 10/2, and spoke to the manager. I explained the situation and he said he didn't see any information in the system about a delivery to me but will go to the back and check. He called me back and said the fridge along new door was the back which was not installed. He said a Samsung tech needs to be the one to install it and assured me a that the tech was coming out Monday or Tuesday. Monday, 10/3, received a call from a girl at Lowes stating that she'd like to schedule a delivery for. I agreed for Saturday, 10/8. Got an automated call Friday evening from the delivery company giving me the same window of 5:30-8:30. Saturday, 10/8, comes and I get a call from Lowes first thing in the morning. Same guy I spoke to last time. He said he sees in the system that I had a delivery scheduled but the fridge and door are still in the back so he doesn't understand why a delivery was scheduled. At this point, I am so frustrated and upset and told him that this whole process was ridiculous. He said a tech will be out there the same week. I then asked how can I know for sure that a tech will be there when you assured me last week a tech was going to be there? So, I ended up cancelling the entire order and got a refund. I had to be directed elsewhere to receive my refund for the extended warranty I bought because, guess what? The 30 DAYS was up and they couldn't directly refund it to me. Right when I received the refund, I went to Home Depot the same day and got the same fridge (10/8). Scheduled delivery for the following Saturday on 10/15 and it came, flawless and earlier than expected. NEVER again will I purchase big items from Lowes. Worst experience compared to Best Buy and Home Depot. read more

1. Getting into the store at the light on Gate Drive is confusing the first time. Someone painted a yellow line which means 2-way traffic, instead of white. Look again. There is a median between traffic going in and the 2 lanes leaving the store. Nothing like starting a shopping trip by almost getting into a head on collision while entering the stores parking lot. 2. Twice I have bought plants and the cash register shows a higher price. The cashier changed it to the right price after I brought up the error to her, but it makes me wonder how many times these errors aren't caught and the customer is over charged. 3. We had a man come out to give us an estimate on a fence. Lowe's was $200 MORE expensive than THE OTHER GUY, but could get to the job 2 weeks sooner. At the time of the estimate, we were told that someone else would come to check the measurements one more time before starting just as a precautionary measure. We said that we would like them to go ahead and get started. When the second crew came out to our home we were told that the original estimate was too low and it would be an additional $600. We wasted 2 weeks on this process. No way to run a business. We decided NOT to go with this company. read more

Nice store but terribly undertrained staff. I needed garden netting to protect my plants from predators. The folks working in the garden department insisted they had no such product. I insisted they should have, considering pest control is a massive issue. Still, they shrugged. Thankfully I spotted a senior staffer who walked me to the big end cap of garden netting, found in the back of the garden department. We then needed another product and 3 more employees had no idea where it might be found. Today I had the awful experience of trying to purchase a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes Store in Poway. I tried on six attempts to call the store.I was put on hold. I could not get through. I had my friend John drive from Rancho Santa Fe to Poway with the intent of giving my credit card information over the phone. When John got there they told him that they don't accept credit card information over the phone. Now John is on his way back to my house to get my credit card and take it back to the store in Poway. This was just beyond terrible service from the beginning to end and I swear I will never step foot in any Lowe's locations again AND I will discourage my family, friends, and actually anyone and everyone to not do business here. If you cannot handle working in customer service, doing your job efficiently (or correctly for that matter), and ensure the satisfaction of your customers, then 1) You have no business being in this line of work and 2) You sure as heck should not be the manager of ANY department. Took 3 visits to try and get a quote to replace 2 windows and 3 doors. In the end, after having someone come out to our house to measure everything, speaking to 3 millwork people, and store manager Leanne we ended up with a quote for a window that was three times as big as ours (51 in when the window is 14 in), a ridiculously high quote for our front door, and no quote for the rest; all three days later than we were promised. When we went back to the store to speak with a manager after finally getting the very confusing quote with pictures of our actual window, Leanne was gone and the manager on duty was too busy unloading stock in the back to speak to us. DO NOT GO HERE FOR WINDOWS OR DOORS! They charge you $40 to measure, then don't measure accurately, then can't quote for what they measured. Worthless! read more

As new home owners we frequent Lowe's more often then I'd like to admit. Vaughn helped us tonight with selecting our stone for a retaining wall - he was so incredibly patient, helpful, and informative!! On top of it all we were there late at night (9pm on a Wednesday) and he acted as though it was totally cool to place a big order at this time haha grateful for good people in this world and he made our whole process easier and reassuring.
