Ordered blinds on September 10th, 2021. Someone came out to measure them and then two weeks later they were delivered. Actual installation was on Oct. 13th. The wrong size was Measured, so when they went to put them in they were too large. Then the second size was ordered and delivered three weeks later the beginning of November. I had to call the store multiple times to get ahold of them. Finally I asked for the subcontractors phone number to schedule the installation since the subcontractor hadn't called me well over their 7day Grace period. Today is November 22 and they have finally been installed. I'm giving this location one star, because of the three months it has taken to receive the correct blinds. Plus their lack of communication between their subcontractor and their inability to answer the phone or get back to the costumer. Never ordering anything else or shopping here again. read more

I come here for great customer service. I had a list of heavy items I needed to purchase and Michael from hardware guided me on which screws I needed for my project- walked me to the lumber and assured I received straight and quality 2x2's- loaded my heavy items on the cart, and even helped me load my car after checkout. It's rare to receive this kind of customer service anymore, and I'll continue to drive past the three closer Lowe's/Home Depots to my house to shop at this location because I know I'll receive good customer support. I apologize this review should have been posted on my main job account but I accidentally created a new one. Please remove the other review so this is not a duplicate. I had without a doubt the strangest experience at the store earlier tonight. Upon arriving I walked over to a $25 knife that was on the shelf. As I reached for one the manager, Jamie, came from out of nowhere like a ninja to literally pull the one I had out of my hands and take the other two off the shelf. He proceeded to say that it's a new policy and that if I wanted one they would be waiting for me up by the register. At first I was confused but it didn't take long for me to realize he was thinking I was going to steal one, we are talking about a $25 knife here! These suspicions were further confirmed when I heard him literally tell two other employees to keep an eye on me. They then proceeded to keep me company as I went isle to isle looking for the 10 or 12 items I needed to purchase. And if that wasn't proof enough I was able to run into Jamie in the parking lot. He for some reason asked me for my last name saying that he thinks he knows me. Definitely not the true reason for his question. And just to make sure it's clear that I'm not just paranoid, that this was very much so what was happening, he proceeded to film me driving out of the parking lot in my $60,000 Cadillac like I had just ran in there and looted the place and ran out. I've never been so confused, amazed , and a little embarrassed in my life. He definitely made it incredibly uncomfortable for me to even consider going back to the store. Actually not true, I am going to return to the store simply to return all of the items I purchased there totaling over $300 and inform him of this review. After that I will be no longer appearing at that store. He needs to learn how to treat his customers. When Lowes showed love to support Black Lives Matter I put the brakes on shopping at Home Depot. I now drive past 2 Home Depot's to go to Lowes. Now it's been 2 years later and I applied at Lowes in Mission Valley I have 2 years of experience in cashiering. So... I went through the process and got text messages to come in for an interview. (Interviewed with Todd) I explained to him that I understand you guys are looking for longevity and I'm able to work from 6am to 3pm 7 days a week. The were saying yes yes that's what we need. After my interview 3 weeks had passed and I called them spoke with Manuel. I explained the situation and assured them that I was ready to work. He said come on down I got you! So I drove down and when he saw me (a 50 year old black man) he looked shocked. ( I know my look doesn't match my sound because it happens all the time). His entire demeanor changed he gave me his card and said the computers were down and he would call me. I saw that the were setting up for orientation, but I still left with my head held high. Deep down I know what happened. Later that day I get an automated text message saying that my orientation was cancelled and they would call me to reschedule Luckily I found another job. It's been 13 weeks and still no call from Lowes. Lowes you broke my heart with that in my face racism but, I'm still not going to Home Depot... WORST customer service ever. Bought a stove from them for $1200 which included free delivery. They put the order under wrong phone number (my wife's) and texted her late night before the day of delivery. Called the store first thing in the morning to change the phone number to mine as my wife works during the day and cannot be reached. The woman who answered told me not to worry about it too much. Delivery schedule was between 10am -2pm. No calls nothing during that time and I am still waiting at 2:30 pm. So, I decided to call the store and spoke to TWO extremely rude individual who were totally unwilling to help. The delivery person showed up (finally) as I was talking to the 2nd rude individual (Israel). After 20 years being a loyal customer I am done with Lowe's. They do not deserve my business anymore. Emily was very unhelpful and didn't seem to have any customer service training. I ordered three chairs online and sent my husband to the store to pick them up because their confirmation email said the chairs were at the Poway location ready for pickup. He gets there and they don't have anymore. They said to try Escondido. Escondido store was charging more for them so I asked Emily to call over there and see if they would price match. I thought she would have better luck getting ahold of someone and asking them to honor the price because she was an employee of Lowe's. She told me that "her time is limited and I should do it myself". That is absolutely outrageous and rude. Most people would hear I have better things to do, if you want them go do it yourself. Here is what we got - NO SERVICE , we were in the tile area, a lady was sitting in front of her computer with no one in front of her STILL we had to walk over to her to ask a question, she answered the question with a one word answer as if we were interrupting her social media break. Then we reached out to a gentleman that was walking by in a Lowe's vest asking if he could assist us or find someone that could, his response is "I'll find someone" yea, no one ever came so I'm back on the hunt for someone to assist us l, find a guy that had a vest on with 30 pins on it stating his excellent service and customer commitment WELL they must pass those out when you start cause he was the worse yet! Ask him if he could assist, he said yes, we walked to the tile I ask him one question and he immediately said NO without even letting me finish the question.... Poor poor customer support!!!! No wonder there was 6 cars in the parking lot when we got there... Lowe's a piece of advice - times are tough with online sales, you should have an energetic, helpful crew of people to try and capture every sale that walks in the door or just close up shop cause inevitably that is what will happen at least this location. We have purchased granite counter tops, appliances and now carpet through this store. The store does an Okay job. However their contracted installers and their respective companies are HORRIBLE !! I will stop buying large ticket items from Lowes for this reason. Most recently, we got carpet and it was installed by Keller Interiors. This company is TERRIBLE! I went in with a list to build my son a Sesame Street post and sign for his bday. I didnt even know where to start, but Justin (in lumber), is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He went the extra mile walking with us up and down aisles to find parts, and did some extra work finding tools to make specific cuts that we needed in the wood. Dont ever buy any major appliance from Lowe's! A few years ago we purchased a refrigerator , they showed up with the truck & the hydrolic lift was broken so they couldnt get it off the truck . We eventually got it installed & the store offered us a discount for the trouble , and the fact that the fridge arrived with a visible scratch on the door . So when we decided to buy a dishwasher from them a few years later we were reasonably certain that we would be satisfied. Worst mistake ever! it took 2 months from purchase date to get the dishwasher installed because the drain hose that came with it was too short . I called & spoke with the install & customer care department on numerous occasions, each time they said I would get a callback within a specified time & usually they never called back. I was put on hold for multiple hours & bounced around to various departments. At one point a manager told me that we wouldn't be charged for install. When our credit card was charged I called customer service & the rep said it wasn't their fault that the part took so long to come in & that she would offer me a $25 gift card to Lowe's which I would have to pick up from the store , they wouldn't even mail it to me . The 2nd installer ( they use independent contractors, btw) who came & did the work told me that the original guy could have done the install& we could have gotten the plastic hose we needed from Home Depot & easily done that part ourselves . He also arrived without a necessary part , because the store didn't give him the whole kit, but luckily he had the part in his personal work truck. I will never make a major purchase from Lowe's again . read more

Store's OK, people are nice, helpful. Products are of the quality you expect. The problem is that they just don't have a lot of selection. it's a huge store, and we literally have to drive past it to get to Home Depot, but we freqently stop there first, spend 30 minutes looking for, and not finding something, then drive up to HD and have it in-hand within 5 minutes. For instance, Colored LED Flood lights: Lowe's had two in stock. we wanted 4 different colors. HD had a full shelf full. Honestly they seem more oriented towards selling new fixtures and appliances rather than your traditional 'hardware store parts'. A second example, our toilet was leaking and needed a new flapper valve. This should be like a $2-3 part, but they didn't have it. Instead, they had a complete 'guts' swap-out kit for ~$30. I went up HD, and got exactly what I needed, no extra parts, no extra work replacing stuff that's not broken. read more

Let me start off by saying I have only used this Lowe's for one thing so this isn't a fair review but... the one thing they do is terrible so I am going to base my opinion of this location on solely on this experience with them. I went in to have several keys cut for my new apartment. I picked out some basic keys for $2 each and some cooler keys for $5 each. I get them home, and my $16 worth of keys do not work in my lock. Comparing the freshly cut keys with the original key I gave them, I feel like even a half-blind person could tell that they did not match. So because we only have one copy of the new key, we rushed back down at our earliest opportunity to have them recut the key so we can use our door. They apologized and cut us new keys and as soon as we get home, lo and behold, we still cannot get into our place. You know what they say: miscut five keys once, shame on you. I would also like to thank the lumber department and the gentleman who operates the forklift who helped load all the fencing materials we bought all week. In 6years of shopping at Home Depot as a registered contractor and working with there pro department I have never received the customer service that I got from Lowe's in the 2 weeks since I've started shopping here. A huge night & day difference in the customer service from Lowe's and there Pro Services. Without getting into a long story of what happened, HD dropped the ball on our company & that ended up costing our company time and money. HD had the opportunity to rectify the situation and make it right and chose not to. It was this experience that brought me to Lowe's. Lowes picked up the ball that Home Depot dropped and knocked it way out of the park. Great store, initially went to the Mission Valley Lowe's store but they didn't have the Samsung washer and dryer model I was hoping for, but they told me Poway's Lowe's store had it in red. The store gave me massive discounts on my units and I'm very pleased with what a great deal the washer and dryer were. But I've had a really bad experience with another store who failed to deliver my washer and dryer on time (delivered it a week later than what was originally agreed upon) AND gave me the floor model that didn't work (paid for a brand new ones). And I had just moved into my new residence so I hadn't been able to laundry for almost two weeks. So it was kinda understandable this time I kind of harassed their delivery department about the status of the units. Unfortunately, the reason why this review falls short of five stars is because they too, gave me a time frame of Tuesday from 6pm-8pm only to call me at work and tell me they were four hours early and wanted me to drop everything to come home and let them drop it off. I tried to take off at 5pm but because of the short notice, I could not return home on time to meet with them and asked them to reschedule for the next day instead. Tillie and Christian in appliances have absolutely the greatest customer service skills I have ever experienced! It is a rough time to be buying appliances due to a lot of supply shortages. Me and my husband were having a hard time finding matching appliances that were all in stock. Tillie and Christian were both very detailed and cared about all of my questions and concerns. When I called into the store to ask questions about a washer and dryer Christian gave me his undivided attention during the call, he was also very pleasant, extremely helpful and professional. My husband and I went to Lowe's store in Poway looking for a Bosch refrigerator. Luckily they had the model we need in display. We had Christian Anderson as our sales person and he was the best! He patiently explained to us all the features of the refrigerator and gave us his honest and expert options . He was friendly , professional and knowledgeable. 9/28 - now on my third straight Saturday waiting for the installation to be done. And they missed their 3 hour window and are making me another hour. Last week they couldn't install the dryer because the installers were not educated on the dryer apparently. This has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Bought a new washer and dryer, was told they can deliver by 9/7, scheduled delivery for 9/14. When delivery came, they only had washer, told me delivery manager didn't sign off on dryer. Called store, spent 20 min hearing just ringing with no call waiting, delivery manager finally answers, can barely hear over loud crunching noises. Says dryer is not in stock and needs another week for delivery. Why was I told it was ready as early as 9/7 if there was no stock? Someone messed up and is refusing to accept responsibility. I am moving to a new house and need to have laundry setup. I have used lowe's in the past for all my appliances. Recently tried to purchase a dishwasher. Their installation company called after a while and when I said I lived upstairs they said they had to call me back because they needed two people. That was two weeks ago, numerous calls to lowes to find out why I hadn't been contacted. Lowes had to try to get them to respond. Today I heard Pacific installation wanted to charge me $470 to install a 560.00 dishwasher. I cancelled the order. This can't be the best service Lowe's can give to their customers. I usually find what I need in the store but I'd recommend ordering appliances from someone else. Update: Expectation: Your install will be from 6-8. We will call you 30 minutes before the driver arrives. Reality: We will give you 10 min notice that we are 15 min early and are unable to wait 10 minutes for you to arrive. The saga continues: Washer and drier installed... but installer apparently isn't familiar with driers that have steam function and left without connecting it to hot water. I ordered 4 appliances in store and what a headache that was... felt like I was being rushed and the gentleman that "helped" me was very short and seemed like I was bothering him by placing an order. He was supposed to call me when my appliances arrived to the store to be picked up (he didn't)... then when I call to check on the status the person on the phone told me they were ALL there and to come pick them ALL up (rushed me off the phone and was short with me). Fast forward to coming into the store to pick them up I am then told that one of the appliances isn't there, and no idea when it will be arriving. If it's due to covid, that's fine, what I'm upset about is that the man told me my appliances were ready to be picked up in store, he clearly didn't even look, and there is zero communication. And maybe if the girl with the purple hair wasn't so busy flirting with the tall guy in the front of the store and the back of the store maybe they could help. Geez get a room! This is for Lowes and their customer care service. I have spoken to over seven people at customer care today. Speaking to each and every one of them at length. My frustration is at an all time high. My contractor from Poway informed me of a tile at Lowes for $1.55/square ft and he said that it was a good price. I live in Carlsbad and own a property in South San Diego. I looked at the exact same tile online and it was for $1.11/square ft at the Carlsbad branch. Somehow, I couldn't place the order so I called customer care to place the order for me. She verified that indeed that was the price posted online. These people need to be set aside and counseled: Cassie - we spoke to her initially about our order. We specifically told her that we needed 1100 square feet worth of tiles. She informed us that we would need 280 planks which would equal to 56 boxes (5 planks per box). I saw the specific product online at the Carlsbad Branch for $1.11 per square feet. She placed the order for us and had it delivered. Our card was charged in the amount of $1,135.04. Our order was delivered and only 56 planks were delivered. I called customer care again and Michael answered. He said that 56 boxes should have been delivered to my home. I asked over and over again. Are you sure? 56 boxes, 5 planks per box, 280 planks total. He responded with a yes. He said that someone from the Eastlake office would call me within 24 hours. Marty from the Eastlake office called me and said that, that was impossible. He said that Lowes would lose too much money with that price. I proceeded to tell him that I have the print out of the online price. He wouldn't believe me. He said he'd call me back but never did. I call customer care. Jacklyn - She was very helpful. She corrected my order and scheduled the deliveries. She then sent me a new receipt in the amount of $1,024.93 for the original order and told me to return the product to the Eastlake Office. The original price charged was $1,135.04. I don't know why she took out $110.11. She supposedly cancelled the original order to be picked up and I would get credit for it. She then placed two orders for me, one from Mission Valley where they would deliver 110 planks and Escondido 170 planks. I received a phone call from the Mission Valley Office (ord#90831-1013 - amount charged to credit card $560.52) soon thereafter. They informed me that they only have 109 tiles and if that was okay, they would deliver this Saturday, the 18th. I told them to go ahead. While I was on the phone with Mission Valley, second order from Escondido (ord#33935-2481 - amount charged $843.04) called me and left me a message and said that they only have 150 of the 170 that I originally ordered. I was really upset as I wouldn't have enough tiles to cover my whole house so I called customer care. Julius - he answered my call. He had to get a supervisor on to pull the order as he couldn't pull up the order at all. Brenda (the supervisor) - she answered my call. She told me that my order with Escondido has been cancelled. I got really upset and asked as to why my order was cancelled when I haven't even confirmed the order with them. She proceeded to apologize and said that she would send out a complaint for both Escondido and Eastlake and that Lowes would compensate me for the time I've wasted trying to correct this order. I told her to make sure that my original order was getting picked up as I am not going to waste my time dropping it off at Eastlake and getting a refund. I called Escondido and they were able to place the order for me anyway for the 150 planks. The person I spoke with at the Escondido Branch said that the total price to be charged on my account would be changed to $740.86. I'm still 21 planks short so I had to call customer care again. Sharon - I told her my dilemma.....again. I told her specifically that she needed to speak to whomever she was transferring me to about my problem as I do not want to have to repeat myself. She transferred me to Jennifer - did not have a clue what my issue was. Jennifer - I asked her to make certain that my original order is being picked up by Lowes and she said "No". There's not an order for it to be picked up nor a refund pending. She told me that she would call Eastlake to make sure that they pick it up. I spoke to Adriana Anderson (Asst. Manager at Eastlake Lowes) and she told me that she would issue a refund. The original order was $1,135.04 and I was refunded 1,049.91. My delivery charge was not reversed as Jacklyn has promised. We were in Lowe's, Poway today buying some summer backyard rocking chairs. We had amazingly good service from the moment we walked in the door until we left. Every person we came to contact with was friendly, helpful & professional. We were amazed at the concierge service in a neighborhood " hardware store". I wasn't too happy with Lowe's in general after this week. My fridge broke over the weekend so I went in to Santee Monday to purchase a new one. I purchased the 3100$ fridge. They said they couldn't get the fridge to me until Friday. So I'm stressing. I have no fridge. Living out of a mini fridge with two young kids. Fridge gets delivered Friday & it's damaged. Great. Called and thought they'd fix it as fast as possible. Nope. Won't have a fridge for another 4 days. Lady on the phone said the order was filled at Poway and to go there to figure it out. First, I was helped by Kristi in customer service and she was so sympathetic and helpful. She tried to change the delivery date but was unsuccessful. She called the supervisor Christian to explain the situation. Christian went to the back and really tried to come up with the best action plan he can. they've gone above and beyond to get this corrected. I just want to say thank you to these two.
