I have been shopping at the Redlands Lowe's for more than 20 years. My late husband and I purchased all of our remodeling supplies for two homes and loved Lowe's because the salespeople were so helpful and knowledgeable (Home Depot seemed to cater to contractors and weren't very helpful to DIYers). We knew many of the Lowe's sales associates by name. We had a military discount, which helped a lot with the tremendous costs we were paying, even though Lowe's prices were sometimes higher than Home Depot. He died and I remarried someone who likes to DIY, as well. Somehow in the past couple of years someone at Redlands talked us into getting on the prop thing, after which they told me I wouldn't have a military discount while on the pro program. Because we didn't buy much after that the pro thing didn't work for me so I went to the store to cancel it. Customer service said the person who could help me was at lunch and she didn't know when they would be back. So I went back another day and was told that I had to call corporate, instead of being helped in the store. When I did call corporate I found out I had had a military discount through more than $500 in purchases (because Home Depot stepped its customer service program and I easily got a military discount there we had been shopping there, instead). I stopped at customer service and showed a supervisor all of my purchases. He said he would credit me with $47, which was less than 10% of what we had purchased, but whatever. We loaded up our cart and then went to customer service to check out so we would get the $47 credit. We were told we had to wait for a manager. We waited a long time and then the same supervisor said that he would give us "$47 off a $500(!) purchase" because it had been more than 30 days since we bought the other things. In other words, they screwed up and refused to make good on it. These "customer service" people don't know what they are talking about in regard to the military discount or the pro program. Do not buy from this company. I ordered a refrigerator and it worked for not even 24 hours. Since apparently my return window ended on Sunday night, first thing Monday morning they refuse to exchange it. The customer service team is rude to say the very least and hung up on me repeatedly when i was trying to understand how I was supposed to call them Sunday night when they were closed. My advice is high tail it out of ANY and ALL LOWE's and give someone else your money. read more

I would give this place 0 stars but its not an option. I requested an in home consultation for window replacement. I received conflicting emails regarding the time of the appointment. When I attempted to call to find out what time it was actually scheduled for, no one had any clue. They gave me unhelpful information and seemed utterly incompetent. I went to the property based on my guess of when the appointment was scheduled, the person showed up late ( I had already left). There was no effort to contact me beforehand. A complete waste of time. I would never have this company or anyone affiliated with them work on my home if they cant simply uphold an appointment. Totally unprofessional. read more

Gave them the benefit of the doubt and reorder my dishwasher and then the second time was even worse!!! Still no dishwasher delivered and charged twice. I received a call from them 20 minutes before it was to be delivered (round 2) that it would not be delivered. I was asked if I wanted to speak to a Manager, I said yes and then got hung up on!!! Been trying to get a dishwasher since November. I will never buy anything from Lowe's again nor will any member of my very large family!!! read more

4/27 I ordered a microwave/convection at the local Lowes. I was told they would initiate the order after the installer came and measured to ensure it would fit, which was done on 4/29. On 5/15 the unit was installed but, upon testing, the door wouldn't close correctly and attempting to operate, caused a circuit breaker to blow. The installer reboxed the unit and said he would return it to store. The store would contact us about replacement. 5/20 Called Lowes Customer Service because I had not heard from anyone regarding status. The Associate did not have any information so gave me the number for Installation Services. I called and they did not have any info. She said she would check and call me back. By 5/27 I had not heard from anyone so I call the Installers. The person I talked to could not tell me anything and said she would check and call me back shortly. 5/28 I did not receive a call back so called Installers again. I was told it was returned to the store and transferred me to the store. The store said they had no record of receiving it. I texted the person who installed it. He apologized and said he would deliver it to the store the next morning. I told him I would check with the store in the afternoon to see what the next step was. On 5/30 I called Customer Service and was told it was received at 1:00 that day. On 5/31, after much thought, I decided to cancel the order and called Lowes. I was told it couldn't be canceled because it couldn't be verified that it was returned. Someone would call me Tuesday 6/3. On 6/3 there was no call, so, late afternoon, I called Customer Service and explained my situation to an Associate. He checked status and said the installation showed as cancelled but the order was still active. He said I would have to call the local store to cancel the order. When all this started, I called the Customer Service number indicated on the web site. During this whole process I was under the impression I was talking with local Customer Service. Installation and Customer Service had transferred me back and forth several times and no one ever mentioned I needed to "call the local store". This Associate tried to connect me with the local store but we were disconnected. I found the local store number through a google search and called. The Associate checked on status and said labor was cancelled, but order wasn't. After reciting all the above events to her, she said she would get her boss. We got disconnected. I called back. Talked to another Associate. She said they were working on getting it cancelled and she would send me an email verification, which I received a week later. Meanwhile, I ordered one from Home Depot. It was delivered in less that a week and the delivery people were great. read more

My washer will not spin or take detergent. I tried 3 times, still nothing. The dryer took hours to dry one sheet. Service was poor. I called the store manager by phone the situation. I ask for the notes he typed out on his end. Coby read them to me. He said he would open a case, pick up the dysfunctional washer and dryer. I ask to have a refund not store credit. Just want to start by saying that if you are going to buy a door from Lowe's DO NOT DO IT. The experience has taken 4 months to complete when I was told it would be installed within a month, and when they said it was complete I still had to paint the frame around the door. Sad customer service experience I think I ever had a hardware store. We called just to confirm what is the status on an order. After all, the date they said we would receive a call from the installer had already passed- we heard nothing. The person on the other end asked us what the number associated with the order was, we provided it (we also have the sheet of paper with the details on it- including the receipt attached), he stated he could not find the account. Phone number was provided again (and read off of the printed paper we had to ensure)- still, they cannot find the account. Then, they stated is there any account # on any of the paperwork- there are LOTS of account #s... and very subjective what this is... any number we provided was not working. They were not clear where to find this magic number. Finally. I find "invoice" number (not account number as they asked) and that apparently did the trick. Then, the next thing we did was ask what is the phone number associated with this account (because it was apparent that they could not find us using our number- assuming that the number on file was incorrect- we just wanted to ensure and update the number).... well, we were then put on hold. And, I am not kidding, for 1hour 46 minutes. We held on hoping and praying we would be serviced. Then, we used my other phone, got the same person (after asking the machine to take us to a manager) and then we asked again what is the status of this order, and to update our number- it was just one rude roadblock after the other from this sales person. We also complained about the lengthy wait time- we were then told to do their job and call the 3rd party contractor to schedule for a delivery (huh?! uh... we might not have the necessary information they need- it is very obvious that Lowels Redland Location did not enter the correct phone number in their system and it is likely that the contractor also has the incorrect information in their system). At any case, we stressed why this is a problem and asked to speak to the manager- we were met with a laugh from the customer service rep and they put us on hold, again. Now, we are literately in our car driving 45 minutes to get to Lowels-- and at one point my spouse had both phones in their hand with the same elevator music playing! we are put on hold for two hours and simultaneously on two phones. When we got to the location- we stressed our concerns and it was met with no apology for the absurd wait and the gist of it was putting the blame and burden on the customer. Our biggest concern, which was not resolved, when is our scheduled delivery going to be? but, again, the manager put the burden on us to call the 3rd party contractor. As I am writing this, we still do not know when we will get our product. A call to corporate is the only other thing I can think of to get answers. We sadly live in a world were the customer just takes this horrible "service" and is blamed for other people's unprofessionalism and misconduct. I am sure I will get a reply on here side-stepping what I just pointed out and make it so that we are at fault for not doing their job properly. I had my floors done wood laminate!! We were talked into getting waterproofing which was more expensive. Lowe's used a third party to install it which they installed it fabulously, When the floor started chipping and bubbling we called the installers they were supposed to service it but no they told us Lowe's took all the accounts back and they had nothing to do with it anymore. so now it's played the blame game call the company that made the flooring no it's the installers fault bottom line I bought this flooring from Fontana Lowe's they don't care I've tried calling everybody they got there yes $8,000 I even emailed the district manager and do you think he called me back or responded at all no!!! they don't care about you they only care about money that's all they care about!!! Purchased a Craftsman generator on 15 October 2023. Took it home, assembled it and found a problem with the oil fill cap. Attempted to exchange it on 28 October 2023 Lowe's assistant Manager, Kevin, refused to return it citing their return policy (48 hrs unopened) and said we needed to call Craftsman for a return authorization. Said he could not call Craftsman for the authorization because they were closed on the weekend. We called from our own cell phone and Craftsman confirmed that the return policy states that within 30 days it needed to be returned to the retailer. Kevin refused to listen to the Craftsman rep, who spoke with Kevin on the phone. Kevin's answer to that was "how does he know that we were even speaking with a craftsman rep" ( even though the phone number displayed on the phone matched that on the product owners manual), he quizzed the craftsman rep and essentially accused us of fraud and impersonating Craftsman. This guy was so pompous and impressed with himself that it was almost comical. He refused to accept the return, eventually said he was feeling "threatened" when he could not maintain his attempt at logic under questioning by my wife. She was told to call in Monday and speak to the general Manager and walked away. He refused to give the GM's name and when she asked the staff they were afraid to give the name, while looking back toward Kevin. Worst customer service experience! LOWE'S is not the place for semi-custom cabinets! Lowe's - Nightmare! Ordered $40,000.00 of semi custom cabinets for remodel of kitchen in July 2023. Today, January 06, 2024, job is still incomplete! Incorrect cabinets were sent. Clerk Bobby continued to order wrong cabinets, etc. Some came with Planton Decorative Panels others did not, double oven cab was sent instead of single oven/micro combo, island cabs were incorrect, the list continues. It has been one botched up quagmire after another with Lowe's. Management: Who is the manager or asst. manager (s)? Everyone pretends to be in charge. Each visit we made to correct something, they turned us over so many times until someone, who we thought was in charge, 1-3 hours had passed! Nothing was ever solved with the problems. The "asst. mgrs." don't know products, don't listen to what is explained to them and babble on until they send you on your way. Almost comical with big business nowadays, Not one cashier available, all self service only which to some extent is ok, but the one attendant helping a person with a large basket taking forever, so I asked a front end manager standing around at the returns why they don't have any cashiers, and he tells me corporate's not giving us enough hours. Well I actually found what I was looking for on Amazon, and it was $2.00 cheaper. I would've had no problem buying it at Lowe's, but no one to help me, so I looked it up on Amazon. They suck. Called to speak to a manager, you would have thought I had call to speak to the King of the World. They needed to know my name, birthday, social security number, height, weight, hair color, and every detail about my life. Well not exactly everything, but I was getting angrier by the second as they wasted my time with question after question after question of why I wanted to speak to a manager. I purchased over $1,000 worth of material and some of the containers had been opened. I didn't want opened containers but I was given 10% off on a few containers, as they said I was buying all the product they had in stock. Opened the boxes that were 30% empty. Do the math here, but it doesn't work out. Another box was about 5% empty and the WRONG COLOR. Finally just brought them back, this was after taking two trips to Lowes and loading and unloading over a dozen boxes. Now I want to order online and have to pay shipping for something I went to purchase, in order to not have to pay 80 bucks on shipping. Go to Home Depot if you're buying something more than a lightbulb. I bought a lightbulb at Lowes once, and that was okay. But like I said they suck. Went to pick it up and we were informed they do not have the grill available and do not know when they're getting more. Large selection of different plants for your home ranging from fruit trees to flowers and bushes. They have a little section of cacti and succulents and even have premade terrariums that are perfect for decorating your porch. They sell pots here as well but they aren't very cute. Most of them look cheap and not very nice at all in my opinion. They also have potting mix soil for different kinds of plants. I was looking for cacti potting soil and they have either a very large bag or a small/medium sized bag. They don't have any mini bags. :-( read more

When she arrived she ignored us and began joking around with other customers. Than she took someone else ahead of us. As she did the price check she questioned the plants prices. If you are buying a significant item, it is HUGELY IMPORTANT to heed the 2.2-star rating and consider going elsewhere. I live in an area affected by Hurricane Helene. I ordered a Generac Generator on Oct. 9, with a short delivery time. My credit card was charged. My delivery date has slowly been extended to more than two months (Dec. 17). If you go online today (Oct. 19) and put a Generac 26000k/switch in your basket, they tell you it will be delivered in a week. This proves there is no shortage of generators. Evidence suggests it may simply be Lowes' manipulation of delivery time and price after promising otherwise and taking money. Given my discontent and this legitimate problem, I attempted to cancel the order. Despite Lowes's policy in writing, which said otherwise, customer service refused my request for a refund regardless of the fact they could not deliver nor even guarantee it would be delivered at the date they now say. read more

We needed a new microwave installed. Went to Lowe's and purchased a microwave and arranged for installation. Ten days later the installation office has not contacted us for install date. We called the number they provided us for install and it was a Life Alert number to purchase life alert. We called Lowe's and we waited for over 30 minutes while the phone got picked up and put on hold over and over.
