Last night she started flashing numbers on the control panel. Before it dies completely I decided to bite the bullet and go fridge shopping. My daughter actually directed me to Lowe's. My go to would have been RCWilly. She found a great sale going on at Lowe's and so this morning it became my mission to go find a new fridge. Great sale, outstanding customer service, and although I convinced myself I wouldn't be romanced by "craft" ice cubes, I will now happily drop craft ice orbs into my next cocktail. The cleaner and more organized of the big box home improvement warehouses. Atmosphere - See above. Again, cool drive thru lumber department. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 9pm and on Sundays from 7am to 8pm. Plenty of parking. Service - Sadly still similar to their competitor. In the past, the service with this brand was better than their competitor. But I am a self service DIY person anyways, so service matters less to me. Curbside pickup available. Price - Slightly more than their competitor, but still reasonable. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1921 with your 2200 locations and growing. This redeem is based on Lowe's delivery. We purchased some exterior French doors and they would not fit in my SUV. We went back inside to have a scheduled for delivery and it seemed to be quite difficult. So I just refunded the door and then re-purchased it as a delivery. The guy said that he had Sunday as the soonest delivery day. Which happened to be Easter Sunday. We got a notification that they would notify as the day before. (Saturday) telling us our four hour window. We got no notification, on Sunday morning. We got a text telling us that our door would be delivered sometime between 8 AM and 8 PM. I tried to call Lowes, and they said they were closed for the holiday.... At about 4 PM, we got another notification that the door will be delivered before 11 PM. Still with no one to contact by 11 PM, nothing happened. I went online and was able to reschedule the delivery for the next Friday. Friday showed up, I took the day off, waiting for it to be delivered and then I get a call from the delivery guys that the doors were put on the wrong truck and that they needed a different kind of truck to deliver them and they would not deliver them Friday. I told them I took the day off. And it didn't matter to me what truck was used in delivering. The guy said the so he can give it to us was Saturday. So our third day of delivery, we get all the proper notifications. Two guys showed up in an enterprise rent a truck. We showed them where we wanted. The door and I told him they had to turn the door on the side to get it in the door. The guy refused to do that. They tried to get it in standing up. That is correct, they tried to fit a door standing up through a door.... It got stuck. The guy had to kick it free. I told him again all you need to do is tell the door over and it will fit. He said no. They just set the door next to the porch. So a 60 something - year - old and a 50 something - year-old turned the door on the side and carried it in... it was not easy, but too young healthy guys had no problem doing it. I'm not sure if Lowes does the delivery themselves or if they farm it out to someone else but whoever they farmed it out too should be chastised and coached on how to handle customers and maybe suggestions? read more

We went to the Lowe's Home Improvement on Kietzke Lane because I was looking for chicken wire. When we arrived at the store, we were greeted by an enormous werewolf statue-- one of their many Halloween displays. There were plenty in f customers shopping around but not overly crowded; we wandered around a bit, admired the Halloween and Christmas displays, before heading to the garden section to pick up a couple rolls of chicken wire and a new garden house; plus a roll of Gorilla Brand duct tape and a pair of wire cutters. We had little to no interaction with any of the employees, save for the young at the paint section who I asked where I would find the duct tape; other than that, we used the self-checkout register and were on our merry way. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE INSTALLATION SERVICES along with your carpet purchase. Hire a local company and seek for recommendations. Lowe's outsources installations to KELLER INTERIORS, who hires unreliable, unprofessional and unqualified contractors! Rich the Northern Nevada installation manager has scheduled multiple people to come to my house to redo work that the first installers half***ed and they never showed up. And without notice! As far as I know this is standard practice for them based on reviews on other people's feedback! It's been a month of these and they still have not fixed it. Even the customer service directly from Keller installations is unable to do anything. Lowe's just says they've escalated the case and do nothing about it. The carpet they installed was not installed properly, it was missing a ramp so that the carpet doesn't lift when it transitions to the floor. After seeing that it felt loose, I was able to lift it with my fingers. I'd much rather pay more money to a a reliable company rather than have to deal with all the beaches these clowns have caused me. read more

I'm beyond frustrated with Lowe's Reno. I placed an expensive custom order (Order #200321178250970147) that was absolutely critical to sealing up my job site. Lowe's has now missed three scheduled deliveries: July 17, July 21, and July 23. They left me waiting over 16 hours across multiple days, only to be no-shows each time. No calls, no coordination, no respect for my time or business. Meanwhile, the back of my property is exposed to the elements, and I have construction crews standing by at $500/day, waiting for doors that never come. I've called. I've emailed. I even escalated to executive support. Still no resolution. This is completely unacceptable. I run several businesses and regularly purchase from major retailers -- this is the worst service I've experienced in years. Lowe's: If you want business owners to trust you for large projects, you need to do better. On 03/23/26 Miriam V Department Supervisor decided that they would not honor the lifetime warranty on Craftsman tools. The stores are still doing this everywhere else but she decided that her shift would not. She was also far in the back chatting with co-workers and took forever to come up to her department. store was helpful, but have had a horrible experience with the flooring installation. constantly late, then when they screwed up transition from wood to carpet, told me to call a carpet guy. several calls to flooring specialists, installers, managers and no response. contacting AG, Contractor board and possibly lawyer. If there was an option for less than 1 star, I would certainly give it here. This is only for the Reno store, since they were the ones that could not figure out how to have my W/D delivered. Twice we waited for over 4 hours in their window, following the delivery on the app, only to have them never show, either time. Best part was the 2nd attempt showed as delivered, yet the photo has the boxes back in their warehouse with a forklift in the background. I tried to call the Reno store, never was able to speak to anyone and finally received a customer care # from the chat function on the website and was able to cancel the order (well, it is still processing as we speak...). The level of poor customer service and delivery services is clearly defined in many of the reviews and I should have done more research before purchasing from Lowe's Reno. read more

I purchased a gas stove from Lowe's (Carson City store #1024), which was delivered and fulfilled by the Reno Store (#0321) and endured 4 failed delivery/install attempts before it was finally hooked up--unsafely. The installer left me with TWO gas leaks, one from the stove itself and another at the hookup, slowly leaking gas into my home for 6 days. My family, including children and grandchildren, spent time in my home during this period and experienced headaches from the exposure. Southwest Gas responded immediately and confirmed the shoddy installation, but Lowe's customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. Even after multiple escalations, I was told refunds/exchanges would only happen on their timeline, leaving me without a working stove or oven. This was a dangerous, exhausting, and unacceptable experience. I will never shop at Lowe's again, and I strongly warn others to avoid them. Went to the store to purchase some items and was told by the guy at the checkout counter that a Lowe's credit card was required to use the coupon. I read the fine print on the coupon to him; no mention of a credit card required. I left the items at the counter and departed. I called HQ customer service, and the rep couldn't clarify the matter and hung up. I called customer service at the local store, after two minutes, no one picked up the phone and the call was disconnected. The coupon appears to be a bait and switch tactic to get you in the store.....or a clueless employee (there are a lot of them out there) who didn't know about this offer. I went to the store in Reno and filled up my cart with 2 Kelloggs Topper bags, seed and a spreader. I was looking at the small shovels and my cart was a little up from me in the same aisle. The girl that was working this morning took my cart without even asking if it was mine. I was the only one in the aisle! I had to search for my cart and get more of the topper. I have a stress fracture in my heel and it was more walking. I also have severe back problems and it was already hard getting them into my cart once. There were so many things in the aisle that I didn't notice her grab it. Please ask before putting customer's products away that they just spent time and energy picking out. Alright location, the store itself is very tidy upfront and the further back you go the less they seem to have in stock. The garden area especially seems to run out of equipment, pots, stone, plants etc very quickly, leaving only empty selves for days. If you're looking for larger appliances they have plenty and seem to be well stocked. The kitchen and lighting area seem to have a heavy variety. Didn't have really any contact with staff with over 40 minutes instore -other than the pleasant lady at the self checkout. read more

A few days ago, we purchased blinds from Lowe's, but the store didn't have enough in stock. The cashier advised us to order the rest online, and since the exact sizes weren't available, we were told we could bring them in to be cut to size at the store. Today, we returned to pick up the order and took it to the blinds Department. An employee named Christina informed us they couldn't cut the blinds because they were a special order (purchased online). We tried to explain what we had previously been told, but she insisted they couldn't be cut. I then spoke with another team member in the service department, who said someone would be coming shortly to assist with the cutting and asked us to wait. When that person arrived, they had already finished cutting the first blind and were starting on the second when Christina approached and told them to stop. She then turned to us and questioned why we had someone else cutting the blinds when she had already specifically told us that they couldn't cut it. I then asked if I could return them and what would happen to the returned items, she said they would be stored in the back and sold at a 20% discount. We then asked if we could return and re-buy them to have them cut -- and she said yes. Of course, she then realized her mistake and had them cut. So, while the situation was eventually resolved, it was frustrating and could have been handled more professionally. There was no acknowledgment of the miscommunication, and Christina didn't offer an apology. Instead, she emphasized that if the blinds were cut incorrectly, it would not be the store's responsibility. I'm sharing this so others are aware -- if you're purchasing custom or cut-to-size items from Lowe's, make sure to get all the information in writing and double-check store policies before placing an order. read more

We stop into this particular Lowe's on a regular basis and overall prefer Lowe's to the other home improvement chain in town. I had stopped by yesterday to purchase something and happened to notice they had about 8 snowblowers in the store which appeared to be deeply discounted. I quickly looked but was headed to an appointment and didn't have time to really determine the specifics. Later that night I told my wife about them and we decided we should stop in the next day to check them out since our current snowblower is very old and temperamental. We arrived about 10:30am on Saturday morning and started talking to Bruno, a Lowe's employee about them. He explained that because it is the end of the season they are offering deep discounts on their snowblowers in inventory. We discussed the models available and he recommended the Ariens brand. We talked over some of the features and were sold. The snowblower was originally marked at $1,149 and was discounted to half price. Bruno explained that we could pay for the item and let them know we needed them to hold it until we could come back with our utility trailer. We went up to the customer service desk and Tim assisted us and was extremely helpful as well. The snowblower will be a huge improvement for those early winter mornings and I almost want it to snow again this season so I can use it! But I also want to recognize both Bruno and Tim who were so friendly and helpful. read more

Ever wonder why at 6 PM on a Saturday night Lowe's parking lot is empty? Answer POOR customer service. or NO customer service. This is by far the poorest run Lowe's I have ever been into. Has been for at least the last 10 years. I went into Lowe's with an $800 and change Shopping list and left 40 minutes later with $100 worth of hardware I needed immediately. The young man at hardware trying to help (who is according to the assistant manager one of the most knowledgeable employees) had no clue what a fender washer was, no clue what 102 inch straight edge or rip guide was. When I asked him for stretch wrap he pointed to the back of the store and walked off. I then discovered stretch wrap is on aisle two in the front of the store. While in the back of the store I needed assistance with shop vac and bags. Appears they are on the top shelf. The cashier called for assistance and no one showed up. After 10 minutes I asked for an ASM and was told by the cashier they're probably at lunch but go to the service counter. The ASM showed up, I explained specifically what I was looking for and she passed me off to the cashier and walked out of the building. Cashier could only look at the computer. Clueless but not her area of expertise. No wonder customer service is so poor, when the ASM cannot bother herself with customer service and if she leads by example why should anybody else in the store be motivated toprovided customer service. read more

These people advertise sales then charge excessive amounts for extended insurance, delivery, etc to the point you actually have no benefit to the so called "sales", check the vendor's websites, they often offer better sales and discounted extended insurance that is 3x lower that Lowes. Also, beware, they will try to repetitively deliver appliances that are damaged and broken, taking your old appliances and never returning them in hopes you'll change your mind about buying their appliances because you not longer have any; that's what they recently did to a senior woman! We went into Lowe's for Black Friday. In front of us were piles of poinsettias at 7:50 and one dollar. So we filled our cart. Went and got some batteries and some other items. There are no cashiers left at Lowe's only self checkout. So we're ringing up our stuff and the poinsettias marked at 7:50 were ringing up at 995 went and flagged down the one employee for eight cash registers and he told us that's too bad. That's not that the one. I showed him the ad. He said you're not worth my trouble. Never mind I'm not lowering the price. If you want a better price you have to go find it and take a picture and prove it to me. Grumpy old man we actually left our cart and about our $50 worth of items and left the store. I did not buy anything. I do not recommend Lowe's. I will not go back to Lowe's. What appalling customer service I had to go find it. Take a picture improved to prove to him what was in the flyer in my hand? RUDE nasty old man and no wonder. Retail is failing. I hate shopping. I only go on Black Friday with my sister. Came in to order appliances. First off, they charged me for the wrong stove. $500 more than the one I wanted. I went back in and got a refund and they told me the stove I wanted was out of stock, even though it was listed as in stock on their website. Ended up coming back 2 more times and getting the same answer. Took a manager looking at it to tell me the store can't order everything that's on the website. Does that make any sense? Decided to just buy the stove somewhere else. My refrigerator and dishwasher were delivered with no issues, but the microwave was not on the truck. Was told by the delivery people it might be on another shipment. No communication from the store. A few weeks later, I called the store to find out what happened. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Once I finally got someone to help me, I was told the cashier indicated that I walked out with the microwave the day I made the order. I would receive a call from the manager to deal with it. I didn't, but finally got a manager on the phone the next day and got my money back after they checked security footage. It should NEVER be this hard to order appliances from a hardware store. I get that mistakes happen, but the (multiple) mistakes on my order would have cost me almost $800 had I not caught them and insisted on resolving them. To top it all off, I was not even given the courtesy of an apology by the manager. Not a single word other than "we're putting the refund through." Egregious incompetence followed by a complete lack of followup. I'll never set foot in this store again, and I recommend against anyone else doing so. Just go to Home Depot. Bought a washer/dryer combo which was supposed to be delivered Sept 9. Washer was right. They tried to provide us with an electric dryer when we requested gas. Went to the store immediately after and was told they couldn't help us. Sept 10 arrived at the store and they assisted us in ordering the correct dryer. Supposed to be delivered Sept 16 between noon and 4pm. Surprise 4 hours past the delivery window and it's nowhere in sight. No one reached out to say the delivery was late, communication is subpar. 5 phone calls later and still not a clue where our appliance is. Expensive, terrible service, and will not be returning for any purchases. Save yourself weeks of hassle and headaches. Go to Home Depot and avoid the hell out of Lowe's. I drive about 15 miles to this store. The past three months or so, it has been like pulling teeth to get anyone to wait on me. Today, I waited for about ten minutes to get waited on in the paint department. The employee who finally talked to me acted like she was doing me a favor by waiting on me. Same person as last time, same poor service. While waiting, I tried to buy some emery cloth in the tool department. It was so full of carts and stairsteps that I could not move my cart around it. Last week, I went in to renew a quote for a flooring estimate. I was out of state and never got a call or email stating I needed to talk with an associate. When I got back to check on it, they told me I needed to update the measurements. I said nothing has changed, I just need a new quote. I was supposed to get an email. That never came. Sadly, the two times we got help it was so rushed. They'd tell us to go look somewhere for what we needed and that was it. Rushed. Still gave 3 stars due to maybe they were just busy. The best service was possibly not with Lowe's. A lady named Inez, I believe. She was at the entrance asking about our water. Very nice and even looked at us while we talked and asked questions. The cleanliness was fine. I didn't notice anything bad or super good, either. It's quite organized. I'm not handy person but it seems like it works well. You can get a map using your phone. I used it twice. I wish it routed so I could better understand the map. I did at least understand the aisle numbers. Lastly, their signage isn't updated. At entrance there's a series of about 4-5 signs. The biggest one was about a contest. We took the time and followed the link to learn it was closed in March (it's May 17 today). Update your signs! I had to second guess everything after that (like deals, sales, if a promotion really is happening). read more

The next morning I got a text saying it was delivered with a photo of what looked like a wire rack and a planter (not my order). When I went to the front door to see if my delivery came, there was nothing there (not even the rack and planter). I've contact Lowes like four times now and no one can tell me what happened nor do they really seem to care. They won't refund my money until they do an investigation. Have seen the inside of Lowe's more than usual lately due to a bathroom remodel. I found the staff accommodating and knew their stuff. When directed to the aisle I needed, it always turned out to be the correct aisle. I was able to find everything I needed with the exception of a 30" towel bar.......nobody has a 30" towel bar, amazing as a 24" is big enough for one big towel only???? They do offer a Veteran's discount and all you have to do is sign up at Custome ervice, then you are in the sysem for all your purchases. Have to mention, we were there a day before my husband got his handicap sticker for the car. What did we see as we searched for a parking space?....... they have two special parking spaces for Veterans right near their front door. Awesome and very much appreciated! read more
