I purchased a Craftsman riding mower from Lowe's in April, 2020. The mower worked good in 2020 and again in spring 2021. In May the mower stopped working and there are no 'authorized' service locations here. I was told to bring it to any repair shop and I would get reimbursed - just email receipts. The problem was a defective battery - pick/delivery, battery $200. In June the new problem was a defective carburetor - pick up/delivery, repair $400.00. Two year warranty. Lowes offered no help and I was directed to MTD, sent all receipts and proof of purchase - no reply, answer or help. Finally, after 3 months, I was told batteries have no warranty and carburetors are a 'maintenance item' like tires or blades. No coverage allowed. I would not recommend Lowe's for any item warranty - especially Craftsman. read more

Delivery was cancelled 2 hours into the 3 hour window that I was given. Couldn't get anyone to tell me when it can be reschedule. Was told needed the work order back from delivery people before I can be rescheduled. Got a call at 9pm from delivery company just to say I've been rescheduled 2 days later. No time given. I called the next morning and was passed around from one person to another. Absolutely no apology or empathy after I told them my delivery was canceled and I was needed to find out when it was being rescheduled. Finally given a 4 hour window. They ran a test cycle and left. I purchased kitchen cabinets. The sink base was not correct on the order. I went in and met with the designer who said she got the wrong cabinets removed and the correct ones ordered. I never received confirmation from her despite multiple emails and calls to the store. I finally found out that the associate moved to a virtual location and was unable to be contacted. None of the other cabinet associates were able to determine what had been done. There was a truck fire and all my cabinets had to be rebuilt. I finally received them, but am missing the sink base and a six inch cabinet. Lowe's can order the two cabinets for me now, but will only deliver them to Reno, not the final destination of Alaska, where the other cabinets went. I would have to figure out how to get them to Alaska on my own as Lowe's will not allow Diamond cabinets to ship less than 5 cabinets. I came to the store and I can't find anyone present to help with this. The Diamond cabinet people have been very helpful while Lowe's fails to return calls, or fix their mistake. I tried calling this Lowe's 6 times today to inquire about a filter for my fridge. I got connected to appliances and each time someone would pick up and then hang up. I tried the general number on the 7th time and they wouldn't pick up. Thank you for the wonderful customer service. Called Melissa on Friday to confirm the delivery on Sunday, after numerous calls that weren't answered, I finally got someone to confirm the delivery on Sunday! They also told me that they deliver between 8:00am and 5:00pm and they would give me a call on Saturday to give me a 4hr window! Called Saturday and after a number of unanswered and dropped calls I got a hold of someone that told me I was on the delivery list for Sunday and they would call me at the end of the day to give me the 4 hour window! She said at that time that it looked like it was going to be Sunday morning! Never received ant call at the end of Saturday to get the delivery window! On Sunday morning, I called and went trough the same thing as before, 5 calls being transferred from person to person, hanged up on, no answering the calls, I finally spoke with someone that told me the delivery window was between 4:00pm and 8:00pm and they would call me when they were on their way here! I am furious!!!! I ordered carpet from Lowes April 4th 2022. I was told by Michael in the flooring depth. " it should take 2-3 weeks to get the carpet in, then approx 2-3 weeks for the installers to install the carpet. Approx 2nd week in May I get a call that my carpet was damaged and they have to reorder my carpet. Michael re ordered my carpet and claimed the installers will call me when it arrives to schedule my installation. Well carpet came in Michael called me on June 10th. He said he was going to put my carpet on a flatbed and have it delivered to the installers and they would contact me asap . Well I called Lowes on June 13th because the installers never received the carpet. Finally I got a call & was so excited they scheduled my installation June 21st & 22nd. Well at 2:30 on June 20th I get a call from Keller Installers that they need to cancel my installation. Mind you we've been waiting since the end of April!!!! I am expecting over 50 people June 25th at my home for my daughter's reveal party. How can this be happening??? I told Lowes and Keller installation my deadline for this mess up!!! Never giving Lowes my business again. This has been handled so wrong! I went down to Lowes last week to speak to the Store Mgr. I was told they don't have one. Whaaaat!!!! I got tired of how bad the Sparks Lowe's is and drove the extra 12 miles to here. Very disappointed. Went to get a load of 15.6"x 23.5 pavers. Just like Sparks, there were only 4 on the pallet and all were broken. Found 2 guys and they said they'd have to get someone to get a new pallet down. Just like at Sparks, why does the customer have to tell them they need to restock? Then they don't do it. Does no one walk the isles in the Garden store in the morning or at the end of the day to see what needs restocking? So, stupidly, I go back to Sparks and the same pallet of 16 broken pavers from 5 days ago are still sitting there. With a full pallet in the rack above it. Part of the reason they are breaking, I believe is when I first started my project each one weighed 62.5#'s. Now they weigh 57#. Why even leave broken pavers out, no one is going to buy them. I've put in 80 of these pavers so far and have 6 to go to complete. I will pour cement before I go back to Lowe's. I will never shop at Lowe's for anything again. read more

We got a text last night saying the delivery window was between 10-2pm. Did we get it?? NO!!!!!!! We sat around all day waiting, no call from them, nothing. We called to find out what was going on...turns out they couldn't fit the refrigerator on the truck today and rescheduled for the 30th, but didn't bother to tell us! Keith in appliances was helpful but that was after waiting 30mins cause there's apparently only 1 person in the entire Lowe's store that can help with appliances on a Saturday at noon. After Keith did his best and got me checked out I was told that I could go to the front and someone would help me load the dryer in my truck. Sat at front door for 5 minutes, finally asked checker to assist and call someone, after rolling his eyes at me he called a fellow employee over and she called for help over the intercom.....,another 5 minutes... no one shows up, she calls again...,again no one shows up, at no point did any employee approach me and try to help explain what was going on of how long I would be waiting. Being right down the street it is convenient to get to. Sale items are seasonally focused and they never run out of the items. A good outdoor area with quality plants. Checkout lines tend to be a bit tricky on the weekends. The self service lines only work on well marked items. Definitely a large chain store. Customer service is lacking. read more

Skip this location, Home Depot is only a few blocks away or go to another location. I went in to get a LOT of paint and the person behind the counter was absolutely rude. She was talking to a customer at the end of the counter, so I waited, when she was finished I started to ask her about the different paint options and she interrupted me to tell me that she could help me at the counter. I was confused as the counter was cluttered, so I asked where and she rudly gestured to a spot about 3 ft from where I was. I moved and asked if I could see the the different paint options as it was behind a roped off section she again abruptly interrupted me and rudely said no. I turned and walked out, I'll get my paint at a place that is willing to take 5 min to show me where I can review their options. read more

One star for the fantastic selection but even after making purchases at this since location since 2015, the experience is always a hit or miss. The cashier named Alex in the Garden Dept was very unpleasant and she told me she did not care that I was unhappy with her attitude. She is brown haired, fairly young but very eager to argue and told me to just be quiet. I knew she was problematic as she spoke at length and loudly about her work experience as a teenager to two customers in front of me by two places.. She was slow so, I left my 3 items in place at the end of the counter after the person in front of me. When I returned with a cart which I saw at the exit door, she was unable to comprehend that it was my turn in line. She could not get it even though I told her three times. She tried to to cancel the transaction and have me wait. I finally convinced her by asking her as to how those three items got to be placed on the counter in the first place. I know that Lowes is rolling in the $$, even so much that the employees are receiving big bonuses. Not much motivation to treat anyone,well, I guess. Over the last five years, I have rarely seen employees smile nor have I ever found one very easily. Now, of course, they do not need to smile under the mask. This woman even took off her mask while talking to the customer before me who was buying potting soil that had a ripped open section. I thought she knew that customer. The Sparks store seems more organized and,seems to be staffed by more pleasant people. Maybe, Home Depot is the solution here in Reno. All I know is Alex could benefit from looking around a bit at the custoners in her line and from not talking so much and so coarsely. read more

With that said... my recent trip to Lowe's I could not find 2 items nor could I find a price sticker on of the items I needed. Richard at the self checkout on 8/31/2020 was FANTASTIC!!! He went over and above customer service. He even went online to help find what I needed. He then helped me checkout when one of the items refused to come up with the UPC. Online order process needs work and employees need training. Ordered an item that said 3 in stock. Waited 3 hours without any reply so I went down to the store and approached cashier with order information. She was already aware the item was not in stock. She asked two other people... and they were also aware of the situation but did anyone email me? Did anyone text me? No. The guy briefly looked up from his screen and said, "ya, we don't have those". There was no "sorry about that" or "can I check another store for you?" or "can I help you find a comparable item?" Sooo finally I asked to cancel the items after no solutions were offered... Purchased a hot water heater October 12 including installation, no one contacted me about the installation until I called the store twice, finally got a call on October 21 to arrange installation. The guy shows up on October 29 to install but doesn't have the hot water heater and needs a helper, so he says he'll return by 1.. he never returned and no one even bothered to contact me. Around 5pm I called the store and spoke with Peggy who wasn't helpful and acted like I was a bother, she said someone from the install company would be contacting me shortly, no one ever bothered to call me back. So here I am left wondering what's going on almost 3 weeks later. I guess it's too much to expect people to act professional anymore. I experienced by far one of the most disappointing customer service interactions. I went to Lowe's in high hopes of getting everything I need to build a garden. The raised garden bed that I saw online was what I was looking for but it ended up not being there after it was advertised that it would be available in the store. So I spent a lot of time looking around for alternatives and ended up loading my cart with alternative stuff until one of the ladies that worked in the garden center showed me an example of a great idea for a raised garden bed that would be cheaper. She told me that she would get me the bricks to do it. I thought what a great idea! Then she told me that I would need to go to the lumber section which was on the other side of the store to go and get the wood pieces so I went all the way over there and showed them a picture of the display and they told me that the display wouldn't work that I needed the actual dimensions. So I walked all the way back to the garden center where another lady helped me get those dimensions and then I walked back over to the other side to lumber with that information. I could not find anybody outside to help me. I went inside the store and told the gentleman at the checkout area for lumber that I couldn't find anybody to help me outside and he said there's plenty of people out there and gave me the runaround. The first thing he told me is that I needed to know what I wanted, so I tell him. I gave him the dimensions and the type of wood and showed him the picture. He then told me that I needed to go outside and get that wood and bring it back to him and pay for it. I asked him how I was going to do that considering there was nobody out there to help me and not a kiosk desk. He then said you just have to keep looking around there's people out there. While he is telling me this he decides to start checking out the person behind me and then reminds me that after I pick out the wood I have to pay for it, then go back out again to have it cut, then go get my car and pick it up. I still have my bricks and soil and other stuff still at the garden center too. So, I went back outside try to look for somebody to help me once again and could not find any staff around just a bunch of workers in their trucks with wood pick ups. Now you would think that Lowes would help a person out considering they're advertising a project. When a person wants to do that project one would also think that they would make it semi-easy to get the bits and pieces that you need to make that happen. Perhaps using the walkie-talkies to talk to each other? Perhaps maybe walking me to go find somebody to help. I ended up leaving there empty-handed and refuse to go back to Lowe's and will go to Home Depot or Ace Hardware. The ladies in the garden area were trying to be helpful. The lumber department was awful. They need better customer service trainings in the lumber department. The guy just blew me off and was quite condescending in his mannerisms and speech. Lowes used to function. These days everything is wrong. I waited over 2 months for delivery of my new washer and dryer and then they installed it wrong. I kept calling. They kept promising. I went to the store. Nothing happened. I still have no washer and dryer, and I paid well over $2000 for that mess. Laundromat for me. Run, don't walk away from Lowes. Update: I waited all day for the installation people to return. They didn't come. I tried to call the store, which is supposed to be open until 9:00, but nobody answers the phone. I think I will have to hire a handyman to install the machines right. Then if I have a week or so to work at it, I will try to get the money I paid for installation back. The level of service I received today was so good, it is worth reviewing. I had started an order online for a washer/dryer and decided I wanted to purchase it in person to buy some hoses. I had a printed copy of my cart, so that helped. When I walked in, service lines were very short (9am). I was quickly at the front and the woman who helped me walked me to Gio in Appliances and handed him my printout. He was friendly, competent, knowledgeable. Was very clear as to what to expect on delivery. This isn't the kind of service I expect from the big stores. I was in an out in 20 minutes, was very satisfied with how things went. My husband and I have been going to Lowe's for years with his business and we are new to Reno, however lately I am sorry to say the customer service at the Kietze location has been disheartening. The young ladies at the customer service desk are rude argumentative and seem to hate their job no matter how nice you are. Experience #2: They lost my pedestal sink items that were delivered there for store pick up, and then find them sitting in the wrong place after waiting an hour. And they can't figure out whether I already paid for it or not (I did). Experience #3 They can't get your address correct for fridge delivery -- even though I supplied the correct address when I bought the item. Nobody on the phone knows what's going on or can help you -- after many calls. Nobody ever answers the phone unless it rings 20+ times. They transfer you all over the place and the cycle starts again. Every day it's the same. DSI Logistics -- their outsourced delivery -- is no help. The corporate main line is no help. No fulfillment store manager will ever call back. I have to reverse the charges on my credit card because they can't figure out where my refrigerator is or how to get it to me. Never.
