Thanks so much garden center staff! Came in here today for an additional 10 bags of Organic Black Mulch. This weekend we came for another 10 bags of same mulch but we were short. You see last week, we went to the Aliso Viejo location for black mulch and the quality of each bag was awful! It had white mold when we got home and opened the bags. We should of know better bc at the Aliso Viejo location I recorded a video on their Yelp page with a lot of little critters crawling around the bags. So anyways back to my review, this location has amazing staff. As soon as I got to the back of the garden center where the mulch is stored, a staff member cane over and asked what he could help with. He immediately loaded five bags of mulch on one flower bed dolly and another five bags of mulch on the other dolly. Then when I got to the front I explained to the cashier my situation, he listened patiently and gave me a 10% discount on my purchase. That just made me smile and am so glad I was given that for the previous mishap. Thanks so much to all that made our visit pleasant and flawless. read more

this store has terrible customer service!!!! when you call the store, your wait time is in excess of 15 minutes to get connected to someone who can help you and then you get disconnected. the voicemail system is enough to drive anyone crazy let alone getting someone to help. my order was late by over two weeks with no notice. staff did not keep me updated on the delay. i had to call multiple times. the door we ordered ended up being crooked. wont be going back to this store. they are under staffed and never have a cashier open as they want you to use self checkout so they overcharge for their products and get the customers to do the work cashiers are meant to do. read more

Today I was in the store and they had some solar lights on sale. When I went to pay for them, they told me there was a problem and without saying anything else, they took the product out of my hands, took it away, and sent an employee to take out the products that were left in the aisle. We ordered a refrigerator from your store and we explained exactly what our existing refrigerator was, a huge built in, to ensure that it could be hauled away upon delivery of the new one. New refrigerator is being delivered right now and we are being told that they are unable to haul away the old refrigerator and need to set up a special haul away due to it being over sized. I now have our new refrigerator in my living room until the old one can be hauled away. Waiting on never ending hold with this awful store to see when this can be arranged. AND TO REITERATE, NONE OF THIS MENTIONED when we purchased the new refrigerator and set up the old one to be hauled away today. Second we ordered new sliding, disappearing screen doors. Lowes contracts this out to another provider and said they were amazing. After waiting 2 months we found out that a mistake was made and our custom screen doors would have to be reordered. So the screen doors we ordered for use during summer were now coming in late September. The big day arrives and one of the screen doors is damaged so now we wont receive that one until late October/early November. On top of this the original estimate was wrong and we ended spending much more money than expected. Prior to moving to San Clemente from Mar Vista (Los Angeles) we used Home Depot for all our needs and had ZERO issues. Unfortunately Lowe's is right down the street from us in San Clemente so we started using them instead of Home Depot. Home Deport is located about 20 minute away in Mission Viejo and going forward we will be using them once again for all our needs because Lowe's is the absolute WORST. TERRIBLE and INCOMPETENT SERVICE and ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. I highly suggest you to stay away from Lowe's. read more

Disappointed at the Garden Center Manager in this location. I called several Lowe's store to reserve a rare plant being delivered to their stores and they said they don't do reserves. Why did San Clemente location allowed 1 person to reserve a whole pallet of these plants on the phone when they said they didn't do that. Top it all off, people were there at the store before her. It didn't even hit the sales floor. Unbelievable!!!! Sounds like something fishy is happening at this store because the same lady was able to buy everything also at the Huntington Beach Lowe's. Thank goodness the managers at the Norwalk location aren't like the managers here. It's 1 per costumer and 1st come first serve. The customer service is seriously awful. And it isn't just a few employees who are rude, dismissive, and act like helping you is torture. Whoever the hiring manager is needs to be fired. I've been going here for my gardening supplies and have spent way too much on impulse buys. They don't always have the best plants, but they have the basics like potting soil, amendments, pots, etc. They run out of strawberry plants and fruiting trees when they're in season although Costco sells fruit trees around spring time for cheaper. I haven't seen any milkweed stocked at this location. In my experience, milkweed runs out quickly at other nurseries so maybe I just haven't been lucky to see any milkweed left over from here. They have some basic hydroponics supplies, but not as extensive as a hydroponics store. They'll have PVC, pumps, and buckets. But I haven't seen many options for growing mediums, baskets, nutrients, and other supplies. They do have those ready made hydroponic kits though, for more money. But it's cheaper if you make your own hydroponic set up. Overall, it's a Lowe's. It's there and we don't really have much other option sometimes. It's not bad, but customer service isn't super great. Also, it looks like their gardening department sometimes doesn't take good care of the plants. But for healthy plants, there are plenty of other places you can go to for that. read more

This particular location is a joke. It reminds me of an ace hardware hanging by a thread. For a homeowner it's probably fine. For contractors it's ridiculous. All of the specialty sections are horribly miss organized. Every bin in the plumbing section is 90% wrong parts. Tile section for tools and spacers is so bad. Do not buy a washing machine from this Lowe's in San Clemente. We bought our first Samsung washer from them about 3 years ago. The first one arrived banging around so much that, through our Lowes Protection Plan, we were able to get a free replacement washer. But then the second washer they delivered came with a missing part, which I just became aware of. For the last couple of years off and on, the washing machine has been leaving permanent stains on our clothes. I tried everything in the book to try to fix the issue, thinking it was user error. But since I let the Lowes Protection Plan lapse, Lowes would not help me, and I had to hire a repair man to come check it out because I finally realized the issues can't be from what I'm doing. Turns out the washing machine came without a vital piece in the rubber part of the front door. It's been collecting grease for years and staining clothes. I'm just so upset that this machine has ruined so many of our clothes, and it's something that never should've been an issue considering the machine should've come with all its parts. I'd love for the store to reimburse me for the $300 fine I now owe the repair man for fixing something that never needed to be an issue. And I'd love for the store to reimburse me for the hundreds of dollars of clothes that were ruined because they gave me a faulty washer (for the second time in a row!) read more

I stopped to shop at Lowe's Home Improvement 907 Avenida Pico in San Clemente. Even though this Lowe's was 24 miles from home, it was the closes one that had Easy Wheels shopping cart. The next closes one was in Anaheim. I got there before opening time. The place was nice and clean, and the staff was nice and friendly. After I loaded up the cart in my basket I looked to see what else I might need. I went to the nursery to see what kinds of plants I could buy for Paisley's garden. I found two potted plants that I added to my cart. Then I went to the hardware department and bought a few items that I needed. The cashier was nice and friendly. Do not use Lowes for new window installation. They have zero experience with windows so subcontract out all of the work. The promised 3-4 day installation ended up taking 4 months due to a litany of mistakes, poor workmanship, and lax hours worked. They subcontract out all of the work to Windowfits whom then subs out to another 3rd party. The original measurements were done by Omar (Windowfits), however the installation crew works for Fausto ( sub for Windowfits). After waiting 12 weeks for my windows, five of the windows were measured too big for the opening (Omar) so had to be reordered. The remeasured windows by Fausto's crew fit this time around but a few were too narrow leaving large gaps. One side was not even nailed to the stud and the flashing was not properly attached. I ended up having my stucco contractor fix these mistakes to properly seal the window. Large gaps on the interior of almost 1 inch were filled with caulking and then fell out a few days later. I told the crew at the time that it does not look right but was told," don't worry sir, this is paintable caulking so you won't even notice."My master bath window had a large crack in the outer pane at Lowe's warehouse. They installed it and ordered a new piece of glass to be installed later. When the new piece arrived the installers dropped it in my master bedroom, shattering it. This caused another 4 -5 week delay. Installers are also very messy and left lots of nails on my roof, gutters, and driveway. They didn't even bring plastic sheeting to cover items in my home. I had to do this myself. I have only touched the surface of this train wreck Lowes is responsible for. I reached out to Robert Reyburn (district manager) over a week and a half ago but have yet to receive a response. Please save yourself the headaches, time, money, and stress and use a reputable window/door company. Lowes does not deserve your business. read more

Plumbing, hardware and electrical departments always seem to be "iffy" on stock whenever I go there. Sometimes they have what I need and sometimes the box/stock is empty or has the wrong items in it. The workers are about the same, sometimes (if you can find them) helpful and nice and sometimes they're not. I've occasionally needed to go to De Nault's(San Juan) or Home Depot(Mission Viejo) to find what I need. I guess they are convenient to be there if you need something simple in a pinch or hurry. read more

The garden center was plentiful. The help was not. Many plants in the back were marked down. So I bought a plant marked $4.00. The cashier left her register to want back to see if the price was correct. She didn't find the other 3 plants that were the same as mine & wouldn't sell me the plant. I'm a 62 year old woman who paid full price for my other items. I'm very angry of how this was handled. She did the same thing to a younger woman in front of me & the gentle man behind me. No one bought the items we wanted for sale, as she took up a half hour of our time & doubted us!!! None of us have a price gun that we passed around for goodness sakes! The lady at the other register honored another customer who also bought from the same sale shelves as us with out leaving her register. I purchased an oven with installation during the 4th of July sale. Two weeks later after hours wasted on phone calls to Lowe's and going to the store and waiting for another hour, I was finally able to get someone to say they would come install it but not until 7/25. I asked for a refund so I could go someplace else but they said that I would owe a $200 restocking fee and they can't refund $40 of the installation fee. When I called the installation customer service department they said there was nothing they could do about it. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND LOWES for appliance installation unless you don't need your appliance for 3 weeks and don't mind giving up hours of your time trying to get them to schedule your installation. This has always been my home Lowes and my San Clemente home improvement spot but recently I was stoked on the service particularly in the Flooring department. I don't write yelp review but felt this was a fitting spot. I am reworking my shower, bathroom and laundry area and was a bit in over my head. I went to Lowes to get started on the flooring and was pleasantly surprised by home helpful Nicole B. was in the Flooring Section. She helped me find the perfect laminate, solid subfloor, and matching transition pieces. She was polite, professional and very helpful. She even offered to take the heavy laminate slabs to my car upon their arrival. I'm no Lowes Manager, but this girl needs a raise or a promotion or at the very least a pizza party for the crew. I purchased 4 windows and 2 sliders from this Lowe's in February 2023. The installation was supposed to be 1 working day scheduled on April 7, 2023, and the product was scheduled to be delivered April 6, 2023. The product did not get delivered on April 6. It was eventually delivered late morning on April 7, which prevented the installers from completing the installation on that day. In addition, wrong product was delivered such that the slider in my primary bedroom did not even have a sliding door, it had to glass panels that had to be lodged together and held in place with a 2x4 piece of wood. Completely unsafe for my home. Between then and now, Lowe's has still not completed my project, and the windows/doors that have been installed are either below acceptable standards or malfunctioning (primary bedroom safety lock at bottom of the door does not engage), another safety issue for my home. Throughout this entire process, Lowe's store managers and Lowe's Installation Support Team have been wholly non-responsive. They effectively gave up on my project and refuse to complete it. I have filed a complaint with the California Better Business Bureau. I would encourage anyone not to purchase any home improvement products from Lowe's, especially this store. It has been a nightmare and a waste of countless hours of my time away from my profession and family. read more

Lowe's San Clemente is the worst hardware store I have ever been in . Their management team including Angels and Dora are a bunch of lazy liars. They always say leave your number and they will call you or let me look into it and I will call you back and they never call you back . I bought a garage opener and they send out a third party team that destroyed my garage and they did nothing. Then I was dumb enough to go back and buy a washer and dryer and the dryer broke after 2 days . It's been over 45 days and I'm still dealing with this issue spearheaded by the assistant manager Angela who obviously does not want to be there and cannot do her job . I would really like to know what their hiring process is . If you want to buy something that breaks and has a bunch of fake warranties around it that causes you to have to call several third parties that are just as useless and spend hours and hours of your time to accomplish nothing then this is your place . Lowe's provides zero customer service and encourages their employees to lie to people and give them the run around, forcing them to wait on hold for hours rather than actually helping their paying customers or providing any customer service. I purchased a washer and gas dryer that were never installed due to an issue at my place and was told by the installation crew to call back to reschedule. Nothing was mentioned about a 30 day rule. I called back after 30 days and was told there was nothing that could be done. What followed was lies, waiting on hold to be told more lies and then never actually being provided any customer service. I placed an online order for a Kohler bathroom tub and drain. The order was difficult to track online (not updated) and the San Clemente store was unable to assist. By checking with the store daily I found out that the items DID come in on time. I immediately went to the store to pickup the items. I was assisted at the customer service desk and a gentleman from the back helped me check the condition of the tub as well as load it into my car. I asked the guys if I needed to go in to the store for anything else, and they told me I was good to go. It has now been a month since I picked up my order items and Lowes has still not officially charged my credit card, but keeps running repeated authorizations. I called the San Clemente store and was told by a young woman that it was my bank's fault, which I clarified it was not. She then placed me on hold (for 14 minutes) and then disconnected me. I then called the corporate "Customer Care" (thats a joke), and after waiting an additional 15 minutes was told that they couldn't charge my credit card (information they required for placing the order) without me making a trip back to the San Clemente store! So, now I've got to travel 20 min. each way and use gas to go pay for items I picked up on 6/27/22. Unbelievable. Shame on Lowes for their very UNSATISFACTORY customer service, both on a local level as well as corporate. I understand that hiring quality associates may be difficult during these times, but a corporation as large and high profile as Lowes should make a better effort. read more

Appliance purchase and return somehow mix up causing a result in credit being dinged after having priding myself in having 840 credit score. Each person you talk to have a different synerial why l was sent to a collection agency over a bill that had a zero balance.. paid in full then somehow balance reappears and interest up to several hundred dollars. It's will take 45 or more days to look into. And the employees continually thank veterans for their service. What a joke . read more

They dont pick up the phone, they do not call back, they hang up when I ask for the store manager. You shouldnt spend thousand of dollars and then have them not pick up your phone calls because they recognize the number, never properly send calls or messages to the store manager. Called customer service several times, each time they picked up they hung up on me before i could even say hi. After finally getting in touch with someone they promised the floors would be in the next day, they werent. I continued to call back each day with the average wait time being an hr, along with being hung up on several times before i could get customer service. After two weeks delayed they arrived.
