Where do I start? Purchased 35 K kitchen cabinets and appliances, very persistent when selling products to you but zero follow-up when things go wrong. I am still trying to receive cabinet stain 6 months later, trying to get reimbursed for installers removing existing electrical and removing other existing items that should not have been removed. My initial sakes person is gone ( ?) but noone to assist ?. I did not expect 5 star but also did not expect absolutely no follow-up, no return calls and multiple attempts of trying to reach a person in the department and being informed noone in kitchen countertops today?. I am an easy person to please " just do the job correctly , return calls" . Customer Service is not a priority with Lowes , clearly. read more

I purchased granite counter tops in February 2026 from Lowe's in Sonora CA - they were installed March 2026 by Merrick Construction out of Modesto. The countertops have serious flaws that have not allowed me to rent the home out until they are fixed. I have contacted Lowe's multiple times trying to get this resolved - but no one calls me back and I am told to call someone else. Merrick company denied my claim saying the countertops looked good when they installed them. They had put a finishing coat on and I was told not to touch them for 24 hours. The countertops are black - but the first time I washed them with WATER large white blotches appeared on all countertops. When the counters are wet - the blotches don't show - but dry them and the blotches are visible. I sent videos showing that when they are wet they look great - but dry them and the blotches are seen. No response from the installation company about the videos. Someone finally came out to see the damaged countertops and used a razor and pure acetone on the counter top blotches - which only took the finish off in those areas, leaving dull patches. No response of the outcome. I wish I could post pictures on here because everyone that sees them cannot understand how they are NOT being replaced or my money refunded. I am beyond frustrated! I am disappointed that Lowe's does not stand behind the products they sell. I signed a contract with Lowe's and paid Lowe's nearly $5,000 for countertops that are damaged. One of the companies I was told to contact informed me that if they come out to try to repair the countertops - I will lose the 25year warranty and the countertops will never look like new ones. The company was called Granite Gold. I said no. I have sent pictures to everyone I talk too who "represents" Lowe's - but then never hear back. They denied my original claim and closed the case without my knowledge. Now when I call - I am told they reopened my claim but no one knows what the status is - and no one calls me even though I have been told several times that the "person" in charge of my claim will call me back Within 24 hours - which never happens. I would caution anyone who is thinking of purchasing countertops from Lowe's to find out who they hire for the installation and what options you have if there is damage to the countertops once installed. read more

I would give this store a negative review. Unfortunately they came in and knocked out all of the hardware stores that had any knowledge. Their inventory is never correct. Today I placed an order to be picked up by my contractor for some fence posts Order was placed and paid for by 11am. The website said 44 in stock we ordered 12. At 845 pm I get an email saying my order needs attention, I log in but nowhere does it tell me the problem. 30 minute of hell getting through their phone automation to be connected to someone who I am sure is trying her best but clearly has no clue. Once she finds the order they have 0 in stock even though they say they have 44. They just suck. This cost me a day of labor and a trip for my contractor to Home Depot in Riverside. Because the store hates people and employees they have gotten rid of all of the checkers. The one person that is there to help you check out is a disabled lady who is hunched over a walker. She's very nice and very overworked and they obviously put her there to discourage anybody from asking for any help. It's pretty disgraceful that you would have a disabled person at the front of the store and require them to lift things just to discourage your customers from actually wanting to use a real checker When they first opened and put their competition out of business they said that they were going to hire more employees not less. When I asked to talk to a manager I realized I was actually number three in line to talk to a manager because he was hiding in the back and did not want to come out and deal with any customers. I will never shop at Lowe's again. They should be ashamed of themselves. They have destroyed both jobs and the customer experience. read more

My problem with Lowe's is the amount of turnover-- they recently fired 50 employees!! I was getting great service at the Pro Desk for the last 12 months and now everyone I worked with is gone! This is despite fact that I gave everyone I worked with perfect scores on customer satisfaction. Terrible experience placing an order for delivery. It was promised on Monday never showed. I have followed up on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and again today Friday and they tell me the same thing it has been picked up and is in route. Of the last 4 major lumber orders I've attempted to have delivered to jobsites, 3 have had major problems. Two with wrong materials. Late. Undelivered. Twice I've had to take my trailer to pick up the loads that weren't delivered so the job could continue. Now they won't pick up and refund a bunch of plywood they delivered that was not even close to right. To get it resolved I've spent over 3 hours dealing with them on the phone and in person. I've dealt with 3 different people at the pro desk who all seem overwhelmed and want to help but the situation is not resolved. No one will let me speak to store managers. I've sat on hold for over 30 mins. This store has profoundly bad customer service. Incompetent employees and fails regularly at every aspect of running a business. I often have to train employees on how to ring up my business account. It's insane. As many others have said here, this is one of the worst stores in the area. It's unfortunate that we don't have a real deal yard here that gives a shit about its contractors. Sonora lumber sucks too for different reasons. I miss Golden State lumber in San Rafael. They were on the ball and got lumber where it needed to be on time and with quality control. It's not surprising that contractors in the foothills are stretched thin when they have to deal with the level of bottom of the barrel fuck up supply houses we have around here. Hire some competent people and pay them well and service will improve. It's not just Lowes. It's everywhere. Sonora lumber can't keep yard guys because they pay dirt and are disorganized. Went to buy some paint. Young, redheaded girl at the mixing area. I asked her what the difference between eggshell and satin was, and she tried to tell me that eggshell is the paint color and satin in the paint type. I told her that it's just the pure white paint. I just wanted to know the difference and she had no idea. So I quickly googled it and got the answer I was looking for. She was 100% wrong. So I picked up a 5 gallon bucket of what I was looking for and asked her if I said it on the counter, could she shake it up for me? She replied yes. We went and did some shopping for about 20 minutes or so came back and it was still sitting there and I asked her politely, did you get to this one yet and she replied very rudely "No, they're 7 people ahead of you!!" I was like, sorry you didn't tell me that when I set the paint down. I just figured it wouldn't be that big a deal to shake up 5 gallon bucket. So we left. Drive over to Sonora Lumber and got treated amazingly they knew exactly what I was looking for and actually made some great recommendations I'm done with Lowes, their customer service is terrible. read more

Big box = big dissatisfaction. Red flags all over this store and all of their "specialty" service departments. Poor experiences in windows, window treatments, doors, flooring, kitchen cabinets, paint and customer service. If you are looking to purchase anything more than a screwdriver l strongly advise you buy somewhere else. After reading the recent reviews of this particular Lowe's - it sounds like delivery is not the way to go here. We've had quite a good experience with pick-up orders though. My husband and I place our order about a day or two in advance - and then we get a notification when we are able to pick it up. Though they are sometimes out of requested items - we've had success pulling into Lowe's designated pick-up parking spot, where someone is promptly able to bring us out our order - contact free. The service within this particular location - can be hit or miss - but we usually try to do our research on the items beforehand - so our visits can be as quick and efficient as possible. How Lowe's Ruined Christmas and New Years Eve! I thought that purchasing a Microwave/ Oven combo unit would be a simple thing for Lowe's Sonora but apparently they can't handle such things. First they charge my card and maintain a $3500.00 pending while I wait a Month. Then what they don't tell you is they check the charge once a week by charging again but with the pending status my card gets declined and the ordered gets cancelled. When I clear up their mess my delivery date is pushed out even further now and blows by Christmas! Thanks Lowe's now I change my entire family plans for Christmas Eve dinner. I get a new date of December 30! Ok I'll have to deal with that all the while I'm off and on with an electrician who I have to pay for. Guess what? They don't notify me that on the 30th the truck driver was only 30 mins from my house but decides to end his day early! No delivery! The Lowe's customer care service dept says "Oh well can't deliver!" Then they ask do I want a delivery on the 1st? Sure I say but are people working? "Yes" they say firmly to my doubts but I try and believe them. Guess what!? They're knocking off early on News Years Day! Go figure! Do they promise me yet another delivery date?! Of course they do! Jan 2nd! But now Let's recap- Christmas dinner ruined New Years Eve Dinner Ruined Paid for electrician cancellations 4 times $500 dollars And no guarantee it's actually coming tomorrow!! AARGH!! Ordered a garage storage cabinet online from Lowe's Sonora. They charged my credit card and gave me a delivery date. It did not arrive on the delivery date. I tried to reach the store, but was placed on hold for 30 minutes. The next day I called customer service. They said they would contact the store and someone would definitely call me. No call. Then I used the online chat. They told me they could not figure out why it was not delivered. They also said the store would call me. No call. Then I called the national delivery number. On hold for 40 minutes, then clicked over to a survey, which wouldn't record any of my responses and kept repeating the first question, "how satisfied are you with the service representative?" After it was 4 days late for delivery and still no call from the Sonora store, I used the national chat line. He'll call me back with more info...Which OF COURSE he Never does. I call the next day, different guy same thing...looks for it, can't find it, says they'll have to reorder it. He'll call me back......NEVER does. I waited 2 days this time....call again....Different person, this time he says he'll email Frigidaire to see about delivery....he'll call me back and gives me his(supposedly) phone number. NEVER calls back....2 more days, I call his number, and get the PRO (not very) desk. They know even less...same story, they'll call me back...they NEVER do. So finally, the next day I speak to yet a different person, she knows NOTHING, still does the walk around to tell me it's not there...DUHHHHH, but tries to Upsell me a different fridge....I told her where to go, (ok, not really), but I wanted to! At that point I simply cancel the order, get a refund(at least they knew how to do that) and shop Costco online and buy a fridge and got it delivered yesterday, over a month after this all started! This is an excellent location. Great selection, very very helpful staff. All around, an easy 5 stars. Recently I was shopping here on a very hot summer day and I took a break in a nice air conditioned area of the store on some patio furniture. Little did I know, but my wallet slipped out of my pocket onto the chair I was sitting in. Later at a restaurant I was eating Dinner at I realized I'd lost my wallet and was able to mentally re-trace my steps. I called Lowe's and sure enough they'd found my wallet and placed it in their safe. Amazing. The next morning I came to retrieve my wallet and there wasn't a thing missing, not even a dollar of my $150 in cash. Needless to say Sonora Lowe's has secured a customer for life. I ordered a refrigerator, it was due to be delivered the next day. It's now been 8 days and no delivery. They keep setting up times and then do not call, and do not show up. They did show up one day, but it was a day I was not expecting them, they did not say they were coming that day so of course I was not home. When the cabinets were delivered by the trucking company, they broke our automatic gate to get (I watched them do it, as did our neighbors). When we called Lowe's to have them reimburse us for the damage, they referred us to the trucking company. The company denied all and refused to pay. Lowe's did nothing to help. Store is selling LG refrigerators after knowing the compressor will fail and fridge will not cool. Look at class action lawsuit covering many of the LG models just like the one we bought that stopped working a few days before Thanksgiving. Lowes Sonora store was of no help . Even Asst Mgr told us "this conversation is over". Took us weeks to get it repaired after getting the run around from LG, This fridge was not cheap and stopped working by 3 years . This is second time I had a problem with some that I have bought from Lowe. The first was a shed 3k, paid for it I full and no one show up for the installation- cancel there times. I asked for my money back. This time we bought a vertical smoker from Pitboss it worked one time and then it stopped working. I called Lowe, because it was on 31st day- they refuse to take it back- why not? We didn't received it for 4 days and they count the day that it was bought and NOT our Delivery day. I was referred back to pitboss- who is constantly sending us part to the repairs ourself. I am quite upset to do repairs on a new unit. Pitboss won't replaced it, Lowe think I am crazy asking for another unit. I spoke with Larry today and he said IF Pitboss send a RA- maybe we can get a new one. They talked me into opening up a business account. Offered me discounts and specials. The truth is that employees get credit for opening these accounts. The hell with the customers.
