I was in the store on Wednesday, September 8th at approximately 6:15pm during a county wide mask mandate, only to find at least 5 employees either not wearing their mask over their mouth & nose, or over their nose. I was looking to buy a new table saw. Web showed 3 were in stock, but I wanted verification that the saw was really there. Called this store to verify a table saw was actually in stock. It took forever to get someone on the phone. When I finally did get someone to answer the phone, they told me, yes it was in stock. Drove to store and then discovered saw the saw was nowhere to be found. It took 30 minutes to find someone who could help locate the saw and that person's response was simply that the inventory was wrong and saw was out of stock. It was not an issue of the saw having been sold. Whomever i talked to was too lazy to actually check inventory. From all the bad reviews here, it's obvious that the store is understaffed and customer service is not a priority for Lowes. I've been in here a couple of times and the parking lot and store is seldom busy. Given that there is a Home Depot right around the corner which has great customer service and is constantly packed, you'd think Lowes would try to do better. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. No one EVER answers the phone. No one is EVER in the store to help. Items under lock and key or that are up high are impossible to buy because there is no one to help. I ordered something to pick up in the store and when I checked on status online it said the store can't find it. I tried the chat and after 30! minutes of the chat, with the person periodically asking me to wait, he then asked me for my email and order number--which I had previously supplied. He then said I had to call because he couldn't help me...he saw the same message I had seen regarding my order status. I waited 30 minutes for nothing. Then I called the store and finally got someone after waiting for about 15 minutes. She said I had to wait until the item came in to cancel it. I played around with the website and logged in and found my order that way, and then I saw a place to cancel it. The gal who was supposed to help didn't even know to tell me to try that. I canceled it, but I have no idea if the money is getting refunded because it didn't say anything about that anywhere. Really, truly a big mess where employees have no idea what to do or how to help...sort of the same thing as never answering the phone. Service was GREAT by the Lowes Associate when I purchased my Heartland Shed. If I new how to Yelp Heartland Sheds I would!!! There customer service is "HORRIBLE" I had to contact them about 7 times because after they installed my shed the door kept sticking, finally they responded and said they would send someone and gave me a date and time. The guy never showed up on that date and time so when I contacted Heartlands customer service department again they said they would find out and call me back, guess what they never called back... There is never anyone in the garden section where the edging and paving bricks are that can be of ANY assistance. I wanted to purchase Matt Log Edging bricks but the bricks were up on a 5-foot high shelf, stacked on end, and the ones in the front had already been removed. These edging bricks are somewhat tongue-in-groove so stretching to grab one high on top of the stack can be dangerous, as a whole row could fall on you. I asked the clerk at the front check out to call service and he said he would. I called on my phone two more times and requested help - after 25 minutes and no help, I left the store. I had purchased 25 bricks that were somewhat lower on the stack 2 days before and I thought by the next 2 days someone would have attended to this obvious problem of the bricks being out of reach. The movable stairs are chained off with a sign that says employees only, but there are no employees available. This was at 10:30 AM on a Thursday morning so it wasn't as if the store was crowded with other customers. read more

I had a estimator come out to measure floors for new tile. I told him I needed two separate estimates for the two rooms. When Lowes called to tell me they had the estimate it was all as one room so I asked them to have it split as I had requested. I got a message a few days later that it was done. Everything is done by phone - they don't seem to use email. When I had a chance to call back and get the flooring department I had to explain that I had an estimate waiting for me and was then put on hold. When I got tired of waiting I hung up. Called the next afternoon and the computer that answers tried to tell me the store was closed. I called back and was put through to flooring where a woman answered with hello. I said I have an estimate I'm calling for. She said " hold on". Didn't ask my name or anything. When I got tired of holding I hung up and tried calling again. This time the number was busy. I called back again and asked for customer service. The guy who answered transferred me to Contractor Sales Dept. and man there tried to transfer me to flooring. No luck, phone disconnected. I called back again and asked for a manager. Was sent back to customer service where I was promptly disconnected without even answering. The moral of this story is don't go to Lowes if you're expecting service or an email. You'll be expected to call and wait on hold as if it's the 80's and email doesn't exist yet. After you're fed up and ask for a manger the "associates" will just hang up on you without even trying to assist. Such a waste of time and effort and they'll keep leaving me messages and I won't be calling back and they'll think I'm the flake. read more

I bought a refrigerator on June 6, 2019 and it supposed to be delivered 2 days later between 9 a.m thru 12 p.m. I didn't get it and the food was taken out 30 minutes before the delivery. So, I decided to go Lowe's to speak to them and they said that for some reason that the delivery was cancelled on their end. The only thing they said, they would be able to delivery it the next day. I even took a day off at work just to receive it and even asked to compensate a little for the food I have to throw away for being outside the fridge but they can't. It's no wonder brick and mortar stores are closing. We were looking for pre-assembled cabinetry, thought we would see how Lowe's compared to the "other" Big Box Store. We were offered help locating the isle that some of the items we needed to purchase by a nice man in the door department. But when it came to cabinetry we found the sales person at her desk chatting with her coworkers. I felt like I was interrupting a group of cheerleaders from high school when I approached them to ask a question. The lady sitting at the desk was the least helpful and very rude. Tyler at the lowes in home depot was extremely helpful and efficient. I normally don't go out of my way to write a review, but I am working on my first home project building a sunroom and he was able to answer all of the questions I had about the products I was thinking about buying. Additionally, the cuts on the plywood he made were exactly what I needed and extremely precise. Not to mention, he was able to professionally help 2 other people who came up to him while he was busy making the cuts for me. He knows exactly where everything is in the store and he is very polite! The overall purchase experience was EXTEMLY POOR, scoring a 1(poor) out of 10(best). I started my purchase of a sink on Saturday 1/8/22 at the Concord California store. My chose was not in the Concord store, but was available in the Valejo store. I came home and tried to call Valejo, was put on hold for 15 mins and the call was dropped. Another call to Valejo got me another wait of 10 mins and the call was dropped. My third call was to the Pro Desk, and I was connected after 10 minuet wait. The associate (Rena) got my order completed and pick-up arrainged for a Sunday (1/9) pick-up. I got to the Valejo store just after opening, and got my sink. I checked the "Memo" sticker taped to the box to find my name and invoice# all correct. At that time I assumed the actual product was what I ordered, but upon getting home and trying to offload the box...I found the WRONG SINK was given to me. I immediately tried to call the Valejo store only to have my first 2 call dropped after long waits. I finally got someone, but they could not help me, and said they would give Rena a message to call me on Monday during her next shift. There was no call on Monday, or Tuesday either. On Wednesday (1/12) I initiated another call to Valejo to get someone to help. I wanted to just drop off the sink at the Concord store, but thought that might confuse the person there without some documentation from Valejo Pro Desk to explain what happened. No help that satisfied my needs; I then drove back to Valejo to return the sink and get a refund for my purchase. At this point I did not want to ever deal with Lowes again. On my arrival at Valejo store on Wednesday, I wanted to speak to the store manager to explain my troubles, because the manager really needs to hear this from the customer and not a second hand explanation by the staff. Never again will I shop at Lowes Vallejo (or maybe lowes in general). I know things right now take longer than normal due to the Covid 19 crap, but this was ridiculous. I ordered 16' of carpet online, for a steal of a deal. I waited and almost 2 weeks later, i get the email for curbside pickup. at this point, we were the ONLY ONES there in the curbside pick up spots. i call the number they tell you, 1st time no one picked up, 2nd time after being put on hold for 10 minutes, it hung up on us. then someone walks out and gets the order number. 50 MINUTES (yes i said 50, and this is after we go up to the person limiting the people coming in and tell him, and he radios in) they say they are coming out in a minute (ha!). 40 MINUTES LATER they come out with the WRONG item. They come out with 1' of carpet in a bag. WTF? umm no. who orders 1' of carpet?? So they go back in and ANOTHER 30 minutes later, he comes back out and says he will refund the order and i would have to come in and reorder the carpet (at over $200 more) and I couldn't do it online. by this time i get the email stating i picked up the item, which i didn't. I showed him online i could order the item again online. He then disappeared, 30 MINUTES LATER nothing. By this time, even the guy who we can talked to who was on radio- not the one who kept going back inside and bringing out incorrect stuff, ended his shift and apologized, and said this was crazy.) I'm sorry i got a great deal off your website, but don't hold that against me. I am not going to pay the higher price because there was (and still is) a glitch in the price. I came home and have been on hold with corporate ever since (going on 25 minutes now). This is the 2nd time i have shopped at Lowes Vallejo, and nothing but issues. Ordered a 10x10' pergola $588 full price over a month ago and received a phone call last week saying it still hasn't arrived and the item is on back order but should be available in two weeks:. After two weeks, no phone call. I went to the store in person and asked someone in customer service what the status of the Item was. Still had not arrived and if I wanted to know more information to come back in the morning. Apparently, if anyone wants service in any department they should come back in the morning when someone knowledgeable is available. After waiting for service for new window blinds, there was no one around to ask for a custom size. I was willing to buy today but I guess they didn't need my patronage. Oh well. Too bad. If no one is available after 5pm M-F why even keep the store open after 6? read more

I had 2 employees point me in the wrong direction, and then another tell me they didn't have the diameter I needed, or so he thought. I'll live with the fact they just opened for business a few months ago and are still ironing out the kinks. Items were often misplaced and the staff did not know a thing or two about specific locations. When they called for backup, their support was just as confused, even after sending 2 or 3 to help. Constantly resorting to "we just opened up and we're not that great yet..." OK I get it. Its been a few months since they've opened. Perfect? Not a chance, but miles better than before. I can say with confidence that this Lowe's is clean, generally organized, and has a staff that is friendly and helpful. I do have a few improvement opportunities for them: (1) Boxes containing new items with holes and bent corners are a no-no, (2) Damaged goods is a no-no, (3) Stay true to your displayed items, and keep them in inventory to avoid customer heartbreak, (4) How hard is it to copy a key? It took you three tries and I still didn't get a key?, (5) Advertise in front of the run-down Home Depot down a few blocks from you, (6) Don't get your hopes up just yet, you're still more expensive than the run-down Home Depot. read more

Very nice store. It's very spacious and clean. Great selection of products, too, even if they are a bit overpriced compared to Home Depot and other hardware stores. If you expect help from customer service, though, you're in for a rude awakening. We had a question about an item that Lowes was supposed to carry (it's listed on their website) and asked someone at the customer service desk for help. This girl was very rude to us and acted like she didn't want to be bothered. She might as well have had a sign on her that said "Go Away." Um, you work in customer service where you're SUPPOSED to help people. Would it kill you to crack a smile and ATTEMPT to help someone who has a legitimate question about an item in the store without having a major attitude problem? Wow. How these people get jobs is beyond me. Someone else came to help us, but they weren't much better and they both seemed lost while using the computer to find the item we were looking for. All in all, a nice store, but don't bother with customer service if you have a question about anything.
