Can't say enough about Andrea at this store not once but twice she showed up at the right time. She didn't even work in the department that she rescued me in, but I stood there for a half an hour going from aisle to aisle looking for something, looking up and down the store to try to find somebody to help me this girl went above and beyond and out of her way for me. I purchased a washer/dryer set on 7/19/26. Project completed 8/31/26. Dryer defective and returned for repurchase. MA sales tax not credited on the return and was charged full sales tax on repurchase. Even exchange should not have cost me anything. Weymouth did nothing to refund me the overpayment. Lowe's customer service couldn't help. Whole install was a fiasco. Plumber had wrong info when filing gas permit. Entire communication with CRSP and Installation team was a horror show. I do not recommend Lowe's for any major appliance purchases. I hope the MA Dept of Revenue cracks down on this double taxation. read more

Ok. Seamus, the excellent manager, is long gone back to Ireland. So this store has gone south all of a sudden. The people are basically ok, but becoming slowly less helpful and a bit less trained and a bit more overwhelmed, and there are some serious usability problems now. A recent interaction rivals the now closed Cragie on Main restaurant for making the largest possible number of mistakes in the shortest amount of time. 1 phone tree madness, that can and will hang up on you, and take longer to help you than the fine folks at the desk 2 caller ID on phone tree, to help track you 3 the call "can be recorded", again to track you BTW, the interactions can then be used to train the model BTW, it could not provide me with a recipe for a chocolate cupcake, but I know it could have 4 a long wait time, 25 min. in the end 5 that numerous ads during those 25 min. that had a strong push to have a shopper card, again for tracking (1000 points is $5!) 6 they are pushing an app, but not providing a phone to put it on, again to track you, and would like you to provide the hardware to shop with them. 7 Flock cameras on the way in, again to track you so, I'll go back when I have to, but I'm going to check out some places in Cohaset that might be less keen to get into me. And, Nantasket Hardware has more than I thought. read more

Purchased front and screen door. Lowe's installation of my front and screen doors took NINE months and FOUR separate incorrect door deliveries to finally get the correct door installed. There were repeated wrong or non-fitting doors, significant delays, missing hardware including my doorbell, and poor customer service throughout. Because of the faulty door, my home was not properly sealed during winter, causing drafts, higher heating costs, and a lock issue that impacted home security. While the fourth door was eventually installed correctly, the entire process was disorganized and excessively slow. Communication, follow-through, and customer service were consistently poor despite repeated photos and documentation. In the end, a $400 settlement was offered only if I signed a full release of claims.... read more

I went to Lowe's today to purchase smoke alarms. A very friendly associate approached me and offered to help. His name is, Austin. Not only did he explain the types of smoke alarms I was looking at, but he helped me to figure out the cost of buying in bulk or buying single units! He calculated the cost on his phone and helped me to decide by choosing the ones with an adapter for our wired system, so I could avoid having to hire an electrician! I like to do projects myself so this was extremely helpful! I shop at Lowe's often and I have a Lowe's card so I get 5% off of my purchase. Lowe's has lower prices from my viewpoint. Second week in a row that Lowe's had no bags. I had several items and asked how do they think I can carry all this to my car. They answered that I could take a cart. The first time this happened I thought they were waiting for a delivery of bags or that they were having a problem because Hingham has a no plastic bag law. However, Lowes is in Weymouth. No apologies or offers to take merchandize out to the car as I am 77 years old. Also, no one seems to know where anything is. You have to wander around looking for things and then when you ask they tell you it isn't their job. Nice. Today I will be going to Home Depot and see if service is any better. Service needs improvement from the Sunday morning key guy in Isle #2, There was a line of 2-3 people looking to get keys made. When the "key guy" had fake customer's aka his family/friends come in to pull him away from his station with fake questions so he can visit family on company time.. A quick 5 minute chat with family is reasonable. But the fake customer and him when off leaving the 2-3 people in line abandoned for over an hour. The family/friend even smiled at the line before leaving almost mocking the customers waiting for him... Need to let this guy go or put a stop to this. Incident happened on Sunday Jan 14th, 2024 around 11am. So the morning shift key guy needs to be pulled into the GM's office for a talk about focusing on keys and keeping family visit to a minium or just let him go and promote someone who is a better fit. read more

In general, I am not a fan of big box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot but there is a time and a place for everything and the pandemic is one such time. I have been very pleased with the selection of much needed household items during the Covid pandemic. When other places didn't have toilet paper and paper towels, this Lowe's had them. Granted at times the brands were ones I never heard of but the quality was good. It's been the same here with cleaning products. There was only one visit a couple of months ago where they had absolutely no bleach nor disinfectants of any kind. Fast forward to this past Saturday, I showed up at 6am just as the store opened. 6am is the time to show up here pandemic or no pandemic; there is almost no one else around save for the folks who work in the store. Much to my pleasant surprise there was an abundance of Bounty paper towels (my preferred brand), disinfectant wipes (a random brand not Lysol or Clorox but still), scads of hand sanitizer, Formula 409 disinfectant, etc etc. A hundred plus dollars later my haul was complete. I did not hoard! I just replenished. The store was neatly organized, clean and I was in and out of there in about 15 minutes. The pandemic has changed my views on so many things. How I judge stores these days is how they are handling the Covid crisis. Score 5 stars for Lowe's. read more

Worst ever. I paid for the delivery of a grill as a housewarming gift and they said they would CALL the night before to arrange delivery. No call, just a text saying they'd be there sometime after 7:30am. I called the store to arrange a different time and they said, tough luck, and hung up. Was informed fences will be installed in 3-4 weeks. Turned out it took 5 plus weeks and nothing has been done. Once they take your money they're gone with the wind. Bought a new electric oven and power chord from Lowe's to be delivered. We had gas but there was a carbon monoxide leak so we decided to switch over. We had a plumber close off the gas and an electrician install a new appropriate outlet. We were ensured that because it was electric the oven would be installed. The delivery was scheduled for Wednesday. The people first refused to give us the power chord and said it wasn't purchased. We had to show the receipt before they "found" it in the truck. Then they refused to install. After persuading them, they plugged it in but didn't add the child proof tip kit which comes with the oven. They said we had to purchase separately. They told me to call Lowe's and left. I have a small child. It's not right that they are willing to put her in danger. I called Lowe's and was on hold for 50 minutes. When the person answered they denied it had been any time at all. When I explained what happened, they said they would have their delivery people call me back within 30 minutes. 2 hours later I still had not heard back so I called again and was told the person who could help had left an hour ago but they promised they'd call the next day. They did and scheduled an installation team for Sunday. The installation team came and took one look and said "Lowe's doesn't install anti-tip kits" and left. Absolutely disgraceful and unsafe. Went to Lowe's in Weymouth to have a storm door installed. Salesperson set up call with a company to do the measurements and they never showed up or returned numerous calls or texts. Called the Lowes storm door department after several days to find out why no one called me back and was left on hold for over 15 minutes while he took care of another customer and then hung up on me. Can see any future in this company. Be careful what you buy from them because they may not be around for long. read more

I got a bad vibe from these people, and it's not the first time that's happened. People here just seem so uptight and rude. I asked someone where a particular item was, and he seemed annoyed as he pointed in the direction of where it was, and he said he could see it from where we were standing. If it was that close, why didn't he just walk me over there and show me where it was? I went to the area he was pointing and looked all over, and I still couldn't find the item. So, I went looking for other things. I saw another employee, so I asked her where this item was, and again, she pointed in the general direction of where it was. This time, I got smart, and asked her to walk over there with me and show me where it was. Once again, she seemed annoyed, just like the other guy. So I found the item, but unfortunately, there was no price tag on it, which is a common problem in Lowe's. A few minutes later, I was looking around for another item, and the same woman who assisted me before saw me and asked, "Now what are you looking for?" I have to tell you of a very upsetting incident that occurred at the Lowe's in Weymouth this afternoon. I went up to the Paint area and told the young woman there that I'd like a gallon on exterior paint to paint three doors in my house. I told her I'd never done it before, and asked her advice on which type of paint to buy. She brought me over to a chart that stated that there were 5 types of paint prices by the gallon. We agreed that I needed exterior, semi gloss and that I could choose from most expensive at $42.98, second at $35.98 and so on down the line. I chose the $35.98 per gallon and came back 10 minutes later to pick it up. As I was checking out, I saw that the paint rang up to $46.98 for the gallon. I stopped the young lady from ringing it up and told her that I had been quoted $35.98. She called a young man over that said it was $46.98. I asked that he walk to the paint area with me and showed him how the paint lady had given me the price breakdown. He then called his manager, Mark who walked over to say that the prices started at $35.98 and that it depended on what type of finish I wanted. I told him that was not what the young girl told me and I wanted to have him speak with her. He refused and I walked back to the register and said I wanted the gallon for the price I was quoted at $35.98. He was rude, loud, raised his voice, and said it is $46.98. Again I said I'd like to speak to the young lady and clear this up. I told him that this was not proper customer service and he nearly pushed me out of the way and flashed some badge at the poor cashier and had her change the price. I told him that he needed to train his employees better, and he walked away from me. Completely walked away from me and was swearing under his breath. I told the cashier I was sorry she had to work for such an asshole, and the young man who'd previously helped me sarcastically yelled, have a nice day. Mark was over talking to another woman, and that conversation also looked heated. I once again said he needed better training for his employees, that his sense of customer service was appalling and that he was a disgrace to the company. I walked out of the store and will NEVER go there again. I tried to call the store for two solid hours and no one picked up the phone, I want the name of the manager of the store and the regional manager to make sure that this guy gets proper anger management and customer service training. I ordered a gas range with Sal from appliances. The range that I wanted was a fridgidaire but they weren't able to have that delivered until the end of October. I decided to go with an LG that was available for delivery by September 12th. I ordered it at the end of August so that was a reasonable amount of time to go without an oven or stovetop. September 11th comes and Sal calls me saying that my oven won't be in until the end of October and he can't even guarantee it will be here by then. First he blames COVID which I don't see as a valid excuse since the pandemic was already happening for 5 months when I ordered this. Then Sal swore to me up and down that he never gave me a delivery date. This is a blatant lie because like I said, the whole reason I bought the LG was because it was scheduled to come faster and I need to be able to cook food! read more

Ugh. Was sent to Lowe's because Yale Electric doesn't have black appliances in stock. Went to Weymouth Lowe's to buy a simple microwave. Was met by sales person assigned to dept and the employee was absolutely lazy and useless. Before even checking the computer proceeded to tell me they didn't have any black appliances. So I went to lowe's website and called up the one I found online, turns out they indeed have plenty of black microwaves. Then she said oh that isn't in this store. So I searched the Weymouth store which indicated they did have the one I wanted and I could have it by Oct 6. I handed her my phone so she could enter the model number, etc, check price, etc. She handed me back a contract saying I'd have it by Nov 6. I said but it says online I can take delivery by Oct 6 and reason I bought is so I don't need to continue to go without a microwave. She gave me some bs story about it not being in the store (which online inventory indicates otherwise). So I went home, called customer service, they do have the one I want in stock and installers should call to schedule appt in the next few days. Fingers crossed. I should get the commission on this sale because I literally found and sold myself this microwave online. The sales person literally brushed me off at every turn! Unbelievably bad. Lowes caused me an infestation of cockroaches in my dishwasher. It took over year to get the part by the time Lowes repair service came out to fix the pump the roaches fried the board to the dish washer. I wasted money on exterminators which didn't work because of the dishwasher. The repair company left me hanging by not showing up on time. Lowes doesn't stand behind their products. I went to purchase netting for a plant. It took almost 30 minutes to get someone to help me. 1st I needed to locate someone then instead of walking me to the time the man points and tells me the general direction, calling the item cloth. I saw no such item. Then I asked the cashier to call someone to help me. She apologized because she said she didn't know where anything was but did call for assistance. On 5/8 I ordered almost $2,000 in fencing and selected delivery. When I received my email confirmation of the items, the delivery date was confirmed as 5/15. Since then, it has been moved to 5/18, then 5/24. I have emailed 2 times, called 5 times and spoken to many, many associates- both at the Lowe's in Weymouth, the Lowe's Delivery Team and XPO Logistics (their actual delivery service) In my most recent call, I was told the delivery would be on 6/9! That is one month of waiting! IF I had known it would be this hard and take this long, I would have rented a tuck and picked them up. On 5/28 (9:38pm) I received a called from the delivery service saying that the delivery was for the following day from 9:30-11:00- I called my boss and asked to work from home in the morning so I could be there for the delivery. 11am rolls around, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm.... nothing. I called, spoke with multiple store managers and they finally gave me the drivers number. It is now 5pm, and the delivery guy (Kelly Joyce) says it will be later in the evening... later!?!!? They had confirmed a 9:30am-11:00am delivery. The driver showed up at almost 10:00pm. If the delivery service that Lowe's uses is consistently this poor, Lowe's should get a new one to work with. It is ruining their reputation and chasing customers away... including me. XPO sent me a $50 gift card to make up for it, but I lost a FULL DAY OF WORK. Not okay. read more

Though Lowes seems to have changed their focus from helping customers to upselling, they do have what you need and customers can help each other as much, or more than staff. Though some of the younger employees don't have much experience and will tell you they don't have something when they do, there are some very helpful, smart and experienced people who work there. Though some of my favorites have been transferred south, you may get the right person. Just beware of the profit motive instead of the helpfulness motive. read more

Purchased a refrigerator along with other appliances and flooring 3 years ago. Refrigerator started to make strange noises. Called Lowes and was asked to call the Lowes warranty number. Had to be put into a que as they were backed up with calls. Two hours later received a call that the company to fix the appliance could not come out for a week. The repair was scheduled and in the meantime the refrigerator stopped working. I had to throw out all food and live without a fridge for 8 days. Three days after the repair the noise comes back. I call Lowes and they say that someone will call me back. No call. Not sure where this will go or how it will end up.....SO, just a heads up everyone. I would not recommend buying an appliance from Lowe's and getting the warranty. Does nothing when you have to wait a week and not have the problem fixed. read more

Disappointed with Customer Service. We had lost hot water, so my knee jerk reaction was that we needed a new water heater. Since we were in Quincy, my wife and I bought one - an open box unit at a discount - and drove it home. Long story short, it wasn't the water heater. Went to my local Lowe's on Bridge St in Weymouth to save time and gas to bring my uninstalled water heater back. At first things were going well. The Plumbing Supervisor, Eric, checked over the WH and gave it the thumbs up. As my refund was going through process, Eric, who had left the return desk, came back to tell me that, after talking to the Store Manager, he learned that I had to get a number from Whirlpool (whose name is on the WH). So I call the toll free number with my son's cell, and the nice man from New Delhi walked me through some questions before I got to give him a quick rundown of what was going on. I was told that the only reason a number was needed was for a defective, in which the store would scrap the WH. This wasn't the case. In steps Eric, the Store Manager (after a call to clarify). He confirms that they don't, in fact, need a number, but, since this is an open box from Quincy, I need to return it to Quincy. Really? Eric helped me pack the WH back into the minivan and apologized for the inconvenience. It wasn't until I got to Quincy that I actually read the return policy. There is no mention of returning anything specifically to the store it was purchased at. Trailers have to be returned in the *state* that they wre purchased in - as in you can't buy a trailer in Rhode Island and return it in New Hampshire. That's it. Lowe's in Quincy told me that this was SOP for Weymouth, and that they'd be glad to take the WH back and refund me on the spot. Thanks, Eric. WOW So this is my go to Lowe's seeing I live so close to it . I not only go for real housing things but for other things water cleaners just about anything I can get and don't have to go to Walmart for I just go here . Anyways . I went today to buy lots of items for my new kitchen I bought a granite sink and dishwasher and then was thinking paint so I went to ask for some samples before I continued on picking out more large high priced items so I asked the boy at paint desk if the samples were on sale and he sighed at me and with a huge attitude was like they never go on sale they always stay the same price and signed again I'm like no every once in a while they go to 1.00 and sometimes valspare offers a buy a sample get 2 samples free coupon . He was like you don't know what your talking about I told you they don't go on sale . I'm like okay u can go home and come back with my receipt and also my samples from 2 months ago when they were on sale . He was like you don't know what your talking about and I know what I'm talking about so I'm telling you that doesn't happen . So then I said I'm sorry to be a bother to you may I speak with someone else omg then horrible mumbles came and he walks away with huge attitude still mumbling awfulness under his breath and he brings back someone eles although the person he brought back was very nice pleasant and willing to help me by this time I felt so uncomfortable I didn't finish my shopping I checked out and left said for Lowe's I hade just dropped 500.00 and needed about another 4000.00 in kitchen stuff . But then at my car I called for a manager on the phone he apologized and said he would speak to the person right away and please come back in for a discount on paint um really I don't want to go back in and be waited on by that guy and then have paint made by that guy or even have to see that guy again that's why I left in the first place because I was super intimidated and felt unwelcome. So coming back in at the same moment that he was gonna get spoken to or even if they were waiting till I left the damage was already done and why would I want to go stand back at we're he was working and get paint . I'm really sad because like I said this is my go to Lowe's but no one deserves to feel unwanted over just asking a question . Also to add no one was at paint so when I asked someone to get help for me and the person I asked called out for the kid he sighed right away and approached with big attitude like I was intruding on some huge ordeal which I wasn't . We bought a grille and we bought a few other expensive items. There were issues with paying for it in one transaction for whatever reason we have no idea. After about 3 hours just to get these few items, we finally got out of there. So many people did not know what they were talking about. Then, the grill did not turn out to be what we wanted and we tried it one time. I called to see what the return policy was on this and if we could organize an exchange for a more expensive grill at the Brockton store. I was told this could be done and the delivery truck would pick up the other grill upon dropping the new one off. Once the old grill was returned to "any LOWES store" the money would be reimbursed on the card we purchased it with. That did not happen. I have spent over 5 hours this week talking back and forth to Weymouth and Brockton about how they could not process it without information on the receipt, information, mind you, that they could look up so easily beforehand when I called to spend my money. I was not even returning it and not buying anything else. I was getting something for even more money! I still got an attitude on the phone about how I had to call to get the invoice information from Weymouth because Brockton could not process the return without it and Weymouth refused to give them the information even though, they were able to find it several times before that. Not only was I spoken to disrespectfully, I was also disconnected, transferred over 10 times, each person telling me something different. I am so displeased that I was told a reimbursement would take place and it never did, we were over-drafted money, and I had to fight to get my money back when it was supposed to be a seamless process as promised. Rich in the Brockton Store was the only one who showed genuine care in this situation and it was not even his fault. One of the staff in Weymouth said to me, "what who is this, Michaela? I don't know you?" when I called and introduced myself and explained I had a problem. I am a customer. You don't need to know me personally to assist with what I need. Then another staff told me, "We are going above and beyond for you right now mam because you used the grill you returned" as if to say that they shouldn't help me because I used it once? I told you I used it one time and we did not like it. How dare you claim to be offering me this amazing service when I, the customer, have to call and be the communicative liaison back and forth for Weymouh and Brockton just because the grill was returned to a different location. I should have never bought anything from Lowes to begin with after the first encounter and now, they will be lucky if I buy a pack of friggin batteries. read more

Update: got a call back today telling me that Lowe's will refund me $150 for my lost food. I am very happy that they reached out and made this right, and I will be happy to return to using them for my home improvement needs. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes in Weymouth and set my delivery for the afternoon yesterday. The night before, I got a call telling me the fridge would be delivered in the morning, and my husband rearranged his entire work meeting schedule to accommodate the morning delivery. When the delivery people came, they had the wrong fridge. I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone talking to different people before I could get a guarantee our fridge would be delivered the next day, and even then they would not guarantee it could be delivered in the morning (I was unavailable in the afternoon). They offered to give me $ 100 off which I appreciated, but as I told John, the assistant store manager, all of my food spoiled and the $100 would not cover the cost of replacing the food, never mind the inconvenience. He refused to issue any further refund which I was very disappointed in, especially given that I'm a loyal customer and have spent several thousand dollars at their store this year. I unfortunately will be needing to find a new store to purchase my appliances from. That being said, the people actually working in the appliance department have always been helpful, which is why we were happy to use them in the past. read more

Pretty frustrated with this Lowes right now. Currently Remodeling kitchen and purchased multiple appliances during Black Friday sales. I get a VM the next day and am told they cancelled my order because it needs to be shipped from a different location. I call the store and let them know I don't mind waiting for the shipping so they replace my order. I hear nothing for a couple of weeks, so I call the store and find out they cancelled my order again and won't be providing me with the appliance I ordered. They also won't honor any of the sale prices for stoves at the time I made the purchase. I get that logistics can get messed up, but to cancel my order twice and then not honor the sale prices from the time I placed my original order is extremely frustrating. I'll now be paying $400+ more for an appliance of similar quality. Needless to say, I'll be purchasing that appliance and future appliances somewhere else. 2 stars instead of 1 because the customer service person was at least polite about it. read more

I have gone to this store a lot over the past 9 years and always have a good experience. Staff will frequently ask me if I need help. I used their Exterior Services Department a couple months ago to install new Pelle windows in my garage and I was very happy with their service. We moved to North Weymouth last spring, and are conveniently located less than five minutes away from this Lowe's. The day we closed on our new house, we drove directly to Lowe's and bought thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of home improvement items. We had such a great experience that day, but it has only gone downhill since. Right before Christmas, our new range hood fell on our new glass stove top and it smashed into a thousand small pieces. Before I continue, let me add that BOTH of these items were purchased from the North Weymouth Lowe's. We immediately went to into the store and asked what they could do to help since our stove was not usable, and we were going to be hosting our first holiday in our new home. We talked to many, many different staff members before anyone could offer us a solution. Finally, we were told that they would get a new stove top overnighted to us, that way we could still host Christmas. Phew, what a relief!... Not. It's now JANUARY 30TH, 2017 and we still have no stove top. Why? Because of the uncommunicative, rude and unprofessional staff that this Lowe's location hires. This experience has been absolutely pitiful. We were told the new delivery date would be Wednesday, January 25th. We waited for a phone call, which of course we didn't get, then went into the store for what felt like the 100th time and were told that they didn't have an update for us. Turns out, the stove top is in Florida and they can't give us an actual date for when it will arrive in Massachusetts. We're now at 41 days and counting without a properly functioning stove. This is truly pathetic. BUYERS BEWARE. If you're expecting any sort of customer service, please go elsewhere. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the customer service they have provided. read more
