She has the biggest smile in every video we get of her during her stay! Recently, Isla was diagnosed with a condition that makes her dietary needs more complex. Walter is our new English Bulldog pupperoni (11 months) who loves to be around other dogs, though still learning Ps and Qs. We wanted to find a new daycare for them and came across this lovely place on yelp. I emailed them to set up a visit and they were very nice and accommodating. Everyone is sweet, you can tell they love our animals and they are professional. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were able to check out the play area from the window in the lobby (also watched the video on their website) and they let us into the suites area since there were no dogs in there. When Ruth stays for the day, she stays in their suite and probably loves the break from Walter. Walter goes into the playgroup with the other pups. They asked for all the vaccinations and will ask for updated vaccines as well, which we love and feel very comfortable with. We know we stay up to date with everything and we want to be sure our pups are around other pups that have everything updated as well. We love the report cards. Especially since Walter is so young, we like to see how he is doing with the other dogs. I added some of the pics from their recent visit. Just look how happy he is and Ruth loves the big suite and comfy bed. We are very happy with this wonderful daycare.

The staff is WONDERFUL!! They remember my dogs name, even when she hasn't been in awhile! When I drop my dog off I can look in the viewing window and see how sweet the staff are to my dog and all the doggies. Last time I watched, I saw the staff pick her up, which she loves, give her a little snuggle and then put her in her favorite spot - on the top of the stair structure where she can oversee everything. They love to give scratches, pets and attention to all the dogs, it just shows you how kind, thoughtful and attentive they are. I love that they have the mutt-cams so we can watch all the fun. :) My dog sometimes doesn't want to leave she loves it there so much! We chose this place because we love how they are cage free when boarded overnight and they give you the cutest report card when you pick them up.

They sent home a first day report card which told us about how she did, what dogs she played with. They have cameras in the play yards so you can spy on your dog which of course we did. It was the first time we spent significant time away from her. She had a great time after being a bit shy at first. We decided to send her a second day in a row. Took her early (7:30) so she would be one of the first ones there. She had a great time. She easily interacted with the pack. There are many handlers on duty so that any problems are addressed immediately. Addy had to be "redirected" a few times for over enthusiasm We look forward to taking her back once or twice a week. The pack experience is ideal for a one dog family looking for supervised socialization. And she comes home exhausted

I then got a call 45 min later that he had to stop the service because my dog was biting. fair enough, i understand that, and i came to pick him up. he told me that if he had more time he could've probably worked with my dog better but he didn't have the time. i don't blame this groomer at all, PetSmart needs to have better scheduling.

I've been to a handful of PetSmarts in San Diego area and I feel this location was the best thus far (obviously, La Jolla). Not going to lie, I'm more of a Petco shopper but when it comes to Santa Photos (Petco stopped doing them and they do have a better backdrop) - we resort to coming to PetSmart. The past couple years, I haven't been too ecstatic about Santa photos, even trying different locations. Why not try PetSmart in La Jolla?! 1) way better Santa and backdrop than all the other PetSmarts I've been too (there was thought into it) 2) they have little PetSmarts Xmas merch they gave away - little bandana and some treats while you wait in line (other PetSmarts gave absolutely nothing) 3) they placed the Santa photo area in a corner that was suitable that was special and clean and away from the traffic of customers (unlike other PetSmarts it's in the back of an isle) 4) weren't rushing you to get it over with. They were patient as dogs are scared of Santa and run away. Instead of crying screaming babies, it's whimpering dogs trying to run away from Santa. Big Santa was super nice and chill.
