Donald and Chris are the best. Less than ten minutes in oil change. Very informative and very helpful. I recommend them any day.

LADIES, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! PREDATORY PRACTICES!! I REGRET COMING HERE SO MUCH!…read more I brought my car into Mario's Inspection Station last summer because my AC was only working on the highest setting, was making a loud noise, and was leaking. I stopped at Mario's because I pass by it every day on my way home. I had already been dealing with this issue for some time and had previously taken my car to another mechanic up north. Since that shop was out of the way and Mario's had great reviews, I decided to give them a chance. I pulled in, and the owner came out, told me where to park, took my keys, and said one of his mechanics would take a look at it. I went inside and waited while they inspected the car. A little later, the owner came back into the lobby and told me they had added Freon and that there might be an issue with the control switch and condenser. He said they would need to order parts and continue looking into the problem. Then he handed me a bill for $360. I was completely shocked. Mind you, I had already had another mechanic add Freon to the system just a few months earlier. I was not expecting a bill anywhere near that amount. What upset me the most was that nobody consulted me before performing the work. I never gave consent for them to add Freon. Had they asked, I would have told them that Freon had already been added recently and that I wanted to understand the issue before spending hundreds of dollars. The owner told me the Freon charge was fixed and that the remaining $160 was for diagnosing the problem. He could tell I was visibly upset. He walked me out to my car and tried to reassure me that they were going to fix the issue and that the $160 diagnostic fee would go toward the repair. He told me he would order the parts and call me the very next day. Well, guess what? He never called. Not the next day. Not later that week. Not ever. I never reached back out because the entire experience made me feel so icky. I felt uncomfortable, frustrated, and honestly taken advantage of. So I drove around for the next year with my AC STILL broken. Fast forward to now. I finally decided to do my own research and figure the problem out myself. After watching a few videos and reading up on the issue, I discovered that the likely culprit was the blower motor and blower motor resistor. I ordered the parts on Amazon, spent less than $50, and fixed it myself in about 15 minutes. So after charging me $160 for a diagnosis (a wrong one at that), never following up, pumping freon that was unnecessary, and leaving me with the exact same problem I came in with, I ended up solving it myself for a fraction of the cost. Ladies, please do your research before handing over your keys and your wallet. My experience here was incredibly disappointing, and I would never return.

I truly wanted this to be a positive experience, but unfortunately it was not…read more I brought my 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan (about 79,000 miles) to Austin's Automotive Specialists in November 2025 for an oil leak. After their inspection, I approved additional repairs and paid $2,006.64, picking up the car on Nov. 17. Within days, the leak was worse. Instead of one leak, I now had two, along with a strong burning-oil smell while driving. I returned on Nov. 21 and was told it was just leftover oil and that everything had been cleaned. That same evening, I discovered the car was leaking from three different places. I brought the car back again on Dec. 2. After no communication all day, I called and was told they found another leaking gasket and wanted an additional $400. I was also told that "oil leaks are tricky on Volkswagens," but a properly diagnosed repair should not turn one leak into multiple new leaks in a matter of days. At this point, I declined further work. I paid over $2,000 and ended up with a car in worse condition than when I brought it in. I requested a refund in writing and never received a response. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

This is a very well organized business so if you're looking to trusting someone with your vehicle, this is the place to be. Sometimes they give you the same day appointments and sometimes they don't, kind of depends on how busy they are. But other than that they treat you with respect and honesty, when they tell you something wrong with your car they really mean it! Even if you research it like I did in the very beginning not knowing these guys but now that I've been with him for a few years I can truly tell you that I trust them one 100 percent. Y'all I'm sad to have to update this review, but I had a bad experience as a woman and want to warn…read moreother women about it. A few weeks ago I dropped my car off for a repair. I got great quick feedback about the repair needs and was recommended for an oil change. I noticed on the vehicle repair report that was texted to me that the technician clocked my vehicle mileage at about 41,000. I deep down knew that wasn't correct, but when I saw it clocked in the report, I just thought I must have misremembered the mileage. So I okayed the oil change. Service was very quick and I was notified that my car was ready same day that I agreed to the repairs. I do love that, because I hate being without my car. So they get 3 stars still for quick service. Fast forward to the morning I picked my car up. It was 8 am, and the manager Adrian Perez starts laying into me hardcore mansplaining for 8 minutes about my poor choice of not getting an oil change at 5,000 miles. He could tell by my body language that I was not receptive, backed off for a second, and then laid into me for another 5 minutes, lecturing me about different engine types, how his truck's engine is superior to my car's little engine, and blah blah blah. I could tell the millennial tech Andy was cringing while his boss proceeded to spew this patriarchal bullshit at me. Anyhoo, I'm polite while listening to the manager's diatribe. I just want to get my car and go to work. Finally, when I get in my car, I realize my gut feeling was correct: my car only has 36,000 some odd miles on it, and I found the oil change sticker Lambs gave me, which stated that I WASN'T DUE FOR AN OIL CHANGE UNTIL 38,000 some odd miles. So, I'm not mad that they got my mileage wrong, and I paid for an early oil change. I'm pissed that Adrian Perez talked down to me like I was a child. I'm a grown ass woman and paying customer. A simple "We recommend an oil change every 5,000 miles" would have sufficed. I update my review to warn women: Adrian Perez may mansplain shit to you. But the other guys at the shop so far seem respectful.
