Small Greek salad with added chicken
    Monique F.

Tucked into the Centre of Keene NH..is a cute Mediterranean flavored restaurant. My best friend and I decided on a lighter lunch. But it wasn't light on flavor. We both shared two appetizers and then ended up getting salads she ordered a Caesar salad with grilled salmon and I opted for the Greek salad with chicken added. We did share fresh burrata with fresh strawberries and the shrimp with pesto sauce. And one thing that we did do was combine the pesto sauce on the toast with burrata cheese and it was just off the hook. If you are from Keene or visiting. Luca's should definitely be on your list.

Absolutely amazing food here. Advised as a Mediterranean Cafe with a bonus of an Italian owner. Seating inside and outside. Phenomenal service. We had the fried mozzarella to start. This was almond crusted with basil pesto and fire roasted tomatoes accompanied with baby arugula. So delectable. Shareable for 1-2 people. We then had the mussels italiano Prosciutto, garlic, chardonnay, lemon, butter, fresh Parsley. Served with grilled ciabatta bread. Again, amazing! My mom had the cheeseburger and she felt this was the best she ever had. My dad had a linguine dish with chicken. Sorry, I can not remember name of dish. My dad is a very picky pasta eater. He is critical. His favorite dish is spaghetti but it must be cooked to his liking. My mother is an amazing cook so he is spoiled at home. Often times, we hold our breath as we wait for him to take his first bite. Well....we all exhaled at the same time because he absolutely loved his linguine dish. He talked about his meal for more than a week and asked my mother to try to recreate the flavors. My son had linguine con peas and bacon with chicken and I had the penna alla genovese. I usually am not a fan of pesto but this dish turned me right around because I was amazed. My mouth waters as I write this review. Dessert was strawberry cheesecake and the best lemoncello cake my palate has had the pleasure of tasting. I ordered one to go for my hubby who missed out on dining with us. I can not wait to return.

Went to Lucas for our 33rd anniversary dinner. Started with humans and chips & olives as apps. Mains were a vegan cashew cheese raviolis. Our vegan gelato's were blood orange and passion pineapple. Our mains were not on the menu yet however we were told by our waiter that the new menu is coming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our meals were delicious and the atmosphere friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Dropped in for lunch. The caperese sandwich and the greek salad were very good. The burger looked delicious but I didn't get a chance to try it. Recommended!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Luca's was a fabulous spot for date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seating was a very nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cocktails were delicious - we had the bees knees and whiskey sour. The salmon was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I've gone 3 times now and always order it! The spicy pasta was good, but would probably try something different next time. highly recommend!

Sad to see that Luca's has closed. We have had great meals here over the years, although the change of ownership was not for the better

The portion size is variable. I've had it "generous" and I've had it "Whoa - that's a LOT of food". They're not covered with a standard tzatziki sauce - theirs is more feta forward. Super tasty. The fries vary as well. Sometimes a bit crunchier and sometimes, while still crunchy, more toward McD fries style. But it's just the outer surface that crunches. Inside it's smooth and creamy. Top drawer. You'll find that they tuck a few fries into the wrap. A nice touch. The only negative point is speed. I've always been there early - the first for lunch. But it still takes a fair bit of time to get the food. Arrive during the crowded time and you're definitely going to be waiting around. But ... worth it. It got very loud with everyone talking on top of the 70s/80s music that was playing. There were ample staff to keep up with the surge, and our waitress was attentive and pleasant, although toward the end a little scattered. The decor is fun, if not a bit dated. Bathrooms are clean. We ordered a garlic bread appetizer which provided 8 pieces of bread. We ordered the Chicken Marsala, chicken Parmesan sandwich, chicken Parmesan with pasta, and chicken Olympia. I had a bowl of flavorful minestrone before my dinner, my spouse had a house salad. Unfortunately my coffee was cold, but it was bold and tasted okay. They don't list non-alcoholic beverages on the menu or their prices. My spouse ordered just a plain iced tea, but we were shocked when the bill came and we were charged for each of the refills ($10.50!). My daughter ordered a lemonade, which came in a cute branded bottle. It was very good, not too tart or sweet. After dinner, we each ordered dessert: Choco cake which has a cute little mouse on top, the orange revani which was extremely sweet, and the limoncello cake which was by far the best of the three with a delicate flavor. The servings of food were generous and we were impressed with the quality, especially the chicken. We could easily cut through it with a fork. The sauces were pleasant and not acidic. For the four of our meals (with leftovers) and the tip (and the insane charges for the iced tea) we paid $197, which I felt was somewhat reasonable. I just wish they were more upfront about their beverage prices and refill policy. Most restaurants don't charge for tea and coffee refills.

This popular food truck serves up sandwiches & platters (falafel, shawarma, kabob), gyros, fries, hummus, grape leaves, baba ghanouj, meat & spinach pies, and baklava. I stopped by the Mohawk Shawarma Grill recently for dinner takeout. There was a small crowd of people standing near and in front of the trailer waiting for their orders. There was only one person working the trailer, so it took a while to place my order (7 minutes) and for my food to be ready (20 minutes). Once my food was all set, I enjoyed it in my car parked on the street. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich ($7.99 plus tax) and a Gyro ($7.99 plus tax), which were both grilled to order wraps with tasty fillings. The shawarma sandwich was filled with tender pieces of marinated chicken, tomato, pickles, fries, and garlic. The gyro was filled with gyro meat slices, tomato, onion, fried potato, and tzatziki sauce. I will definitely have to stop by again for some kabobs next time!
