Best bakery been coming to this place since I was small love there churros best in town

The churros are good but everything else is sh*t. Their service is terrible. Their prices are higher which would be understandable if they didn't make their churros half a foot shorter. Hung up on us twice. Refused to process our pre-order then lied to us on the phone saying they did. Arrived to find out they hadn't and had to wait 30 minutes for four churros and they still managed to get our order wrong. read more

Woow the Churros are a delight and prices are reasonable. I purchased a plain churro for .60 cents and a chocolate filled churro for $2. They have a crunchy crispy top layer and a soft gooey center. The creamy chocolate is a nice compliment to the texture of the churro. Good Churros! The person that helped me was a bit distracted with the tv and didn't seem welcoming. Today I stop for a cup of coffee at Luceros Bakery I ordered cafe de olla and Mexican conchitas . Best coffee ever it was just perfect and the Mexican bread just like I remembered as a child so good. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU PLAN ON WAITING TWO HOURS FOR CHURROS...called in a phone order in advance and it was not ready almost two hours later. If you have a large order don't even bother because they'll give the fresh churros to the people with small orders that walk in. My family has been coming here for the tres leches cake and churros since I was little. We usually go to their location in East LA but wanted to come here to the original location. Not sure what was up but the customer service was not too good. I felt rushed and not welcomed or comfortable to look around and get anything else besides the churros and coffee I came for. My mom also said that she didn't appreciate the smell of onions from the tortas they were making as it obstructs the signature smell that a Mexican panaderia has. Churros are really good, but service sucks. Take out customers walked in and were helped before customers in line, who had been there for 20 minutes. Lady had a long line, but was answering calls and helping walk ins before the line. It was finally my turn to order and they said they ran out of churros. This is definitely the place to come for churros, the churros are delicious, fresh and warm, comfort food at its best. There is a line however they are very efficient and move quickly to get you in and out. read more

Based on the reviews wasn't sure if I'd have a good customer experience or not but everything went great! I placed a phone order for 25 churros to be ready at 11am on a Sunday and it was empty when I got there and got my churros hot and fresh! My Cake lady canceled on me the week of my daughters bday and I found Luceros Bakery on Yelp. I had 2 Nike cakes with whip cream frosting and fondant letters/logo. Everyone loved it. I'm very picky when it comes to my cakes. It was affordable amd Delish. Customer service is A1. I order the tres leches nuez and the other Cake was a strawberry Cake with fresh strawberries mixed with whip cream. The strawberry cake did not taste artificial at all! Everyone enjoyed both cakes. This place is so good, but a little unorganized. Every time I place an order for a cake for the next day, they can't find it and just give me one that they have extra (I don't mind this because I get my cake, but, it's also kind of unreliable?) Very very disappointed in this place. This place was recommended for its tres leches cake. I ordered the cake almost 2 weeks in advance. I had to wait 40 min to order my cake, even though there were only 2 other customers in the place. It seemed disorganized when I was waiting but I still gave it a chance. I went to pick up my cake and it looked NOTHING like how I had ordered it. I told the lady the cake wasn't how I ordered it and she said I had signed the receipt and the decorator wasn't there so there was nothing she could do about it. The lady even said the decorator must not have understood what was written on the instructions. Bottom line, I will not be returning and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone for ordering cakes. I had this ordered for my girlfriend's birthday and her cake was ugly so it ruined the surprise. I was even embarrassed at how ugly it was. read more

Mmmm!!! The churros were soo good!! I got regular, chocolate, and Nutella. I also got tres leches and cheesecake. I would say definitely eat it while it's hot and their drinks are good as well. My only complaint, is that one of my churros seemed a little undercooked in the middle. Maybe some people like it like that but I wasn't too excited about it.
