[[HIGHLIGHT]]Small bakery that is very busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had some of the mini conchas and a variety of their pastries! Many people in line weee strictly there for the freshly made Bolillo. The service is friendly and the pastries are fantastic! Highly recommend.

Really fresh. Concha had a crisp top and soft bottom part. Bolillo relleno was fresh baked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a popular place for a reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had a guayaba con queso that was also bomb. The workers are very friendly and helpful. They serve your bread from behind a counter .

Crunchy bolillo...maybe for hot chocolate or champurrado dipping

The sweet bread is always good but the best was the bolillo. Not sure what happened but the quality of the bolillo is no longer the same... Maybe a new baker? The bolillo is hard and airy, what we call "bofo"... It use to be soft and dense... perfect for a torta. Please bring back the old bolillo! The staff is always friendly...busy place.

    Assorted bread and tamales

Found this bakery from yelp so I rushed yesterday morning so I can grab some breakfast bread and tamales for my coworkers. There was a short line, but there was a line; ordered some bread with some stuffing inside and the three flavors of tamales that they have, brought to work , Tried it myself and it was amazing. This place is truly amazing. It is a small or maybe even a family owned Bakery but everything I bought yesterday is so delicious. I will come back to this place for sure, especially that it was only less than 10 minutes away from where I live. They open at five in the morning so it is perfect for me whenever I wanna bring something for my coworkers. All my coworkers love the bread and the tamales.

Every single time I come here I'm always extremely satisfied. They never miss whatever you're getting here is always going to be so freaking delicious. The prices are great in my opinion also . Customer service is impeccable. They have so many people always coming inside this establishment and they make sure that they help everyone & you're serviced quickly. So go grab yourself a turkey torta and enjoy! Also to the taller woman with the lipstick on that matches her hair and with a big bright smile you are always so nice when I come in. Thank you for the wonderful service.

The best bread in Pico, the bread is so soft, the chorizo bolio's are my favorite but you won't be disappointed!

Fast forward to today (2026), and we're still supporting this local business with the same appreciation. Now that my grandparents are older and can't get to the bakery as often, Duran's has become part of our routine. My dad always stops by on his way home to Whittier--often after jobs in LA, Echo Park, or West LA--passing through Pico Rivera to pick up my grandfather's favorite elote and my grandmother's favorite tortuga. When I visit my parents in Whittier, I make it a point to stop here too--bringing pan dulce for my grandparents in Pico Rivera before heading over. The quality has remained consistently great over the years: fresh, traditional, and made with care. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming--you're consistently greeted with a warm hello, which makes every visit feel familiar and genuine. Duran's isn't just a bakery--it's part of our family history, and we're grateful it's still here.

Homey neighborhood coffee bakery shop. Even an outdoor seating area...but its all about the Mexican…read moredesserts. Not too sweet. Perfect with coffee. Easy to take home. My cousin knew about this place and introduced me to it. It's on a busy street, Rosemead, but in a small mini mall, free patking...easy access but coming from the south to north, not visible from Rosemead. So GPS it is my advice. The service is quick and helpful.
