3 leches chocolate in the fridge. Self serve.

Lucero's is confusing on Yelp since there are two locations. I haven't been to the other one lately (which is literally down the street), but this one has expanded. They still offer the lovely range of baked goods, churros, and cakes, flans, etc. It looks like they also offer whole cakes as well. Churros- just give them your money. They have regular churros and filled ones (Nutella, cajeta, mango, lemon, guava, etc.). Champurrado- hot and inviting. The large is gigantic Service is fast and no nonsense. They're very thorough, though. It's not really a place to hang out and eat, but you can stand around and scarf down a churros if you'd like. Parking is ok. The lot is dedicated but small, and the pavement is crackley and uneven, but fine for most cars.

A friend brought churros from this place and it was a hit! We loved it so much we bought some for another party and it did not disappoint. The churros were still good even as leftovers. Parking is limited in front of the store but there is street parking.

My Husbamd introduce me to this bakery when we first started dating. We meet back in March 25, 1997 we have been coming her since then we know live in bakersfield, every chance we get to come back into town we stop by Luceros. This has be our favorite, now we share it with our 2 sons they are now 22 & 23 yrs young. This place has been around for many years it's apart of this great community here in Bell Gardens. It's been apart of our family. I hope you will give it a try and find out why we like it so much, and make it a part of your family. I can't end this review without saying something about the staff they are great, the service is Amazing they treat you like family. 10 stars we come for the 3 leches cakes and the churros

We used to love getting our cakes here for every celebration, but lately the tres leches cake hasn't been the same. It's been dry, with only the top part soaked. Unfortunately, this has happened more than once.

    Churro with Mexican bread.

Beat churros!! But they have the worst worst customer service I've experienced. Since they have a big clientele they don't care.

I had been to the one in Laguna Niguel and this one in Little Tokyo is more spacious, with an area where you can eat. I bought an oyako pork shumai, curry pan and spicy curry pan. The shumai was like dumpling filling in a bun. My faves were the curry pan, which were super flavorful and vegetarian. The spicy curry one does have a kick (great for my husband), while I prefer the regular curry as I can't handle spice. Wish I had one closer to me!

It's like a fancy filet o fish without the soggy bun, packed with amazing fried fish and tarter sauce. I'm just disappointed when they don't have this in stock, but sometimes they would make more, and that'll just be an extra wait. Downside is that I first tried the fish panini years ago and it was a bit better then, but it's still good currently. Other pastries I've tried here have been pretty good. They had some various buns with mochi inside, and those were great. Another one of my fave is their mentaiko salt bun. Great flavor, though I wish they would stuff the thing with more mentaiko. Their curry breads are good too. I took my daughter here and she got one with cute emoji drawn on, and she said the custard filling and the bread was tasty as well. I've tried some drinks here and they were alright. A friend was into their banana matcha when they have that in stock. Pretty simple layout here. Get in line and see the goods, then you reach the cashier and order and pay.

It was awesome that there were some samples to try and that definitely helped in my decision for my daughter's birthday cake in a couple months. For the 2 birthday cakes, we got the rainbow cake and Basque cheesecake. And for father's day we had the banana cream pie. From sampling the available cakes, my favorite is the Vietnamese Tres Leshes and Ube Hopia cake. Instead of the Basque Cheesecake, we should have grabbed the Sesame Basque Cheesecake. It tasted better, for our taste at least. For the most part everything we tried was delicious. Definitely coming back for some single serve desserts.

I've already been a fan of Wild Whisk, but they just became my very favorite bakery today…read morebecause... they now sell my favorite tamales from Tamale Alberto in Echo Park!! I used to live much closer to Echo Park and Alberto was my go-to tamale purveyor. I'd stack frozen tamales in my freezer because my kids love them and could heat them up for breakfast even when they were very young. I live in SGV now so going to Alberto's is a bit of a trek and we don't get to have their tamales often. Well, not anymore! Apparently the owner also loves Alberto's tamales and asked to co-sell them in her bakery. They've been selling these tamales since Christmas... and I just now discovered this! No more long treks to get these tasties! And of course all of Wild Whisk's fancy baked goods will make excellent desserts after your tamale meal! Spread the word!
