Tucked away in Roswell is a cute little pasta place! There is a good amount of parking once you pull in! Upon entering you have the option of self order or ordering with staff. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive! My husband and I both ordered build your own pasta and the selection was very varied. I ordered a spaghetti with pink sauce, tomatoes and meatballs. There is tons of seating if you decide to dine in. The wait time was not long at all and they were quick to call our order. You do have to go to the counter to pick it up as they do not bring it to your table. My food was decent, the flavor seemed off to me but my husband loved it. Meatballs were a giant size portion and the overall portion of the meal was enough to get you full. I saw this restaurant as I was sitting the light in Roswell and decided to try it out because it gave me good vibes. I got the build your own pasta with spaghetti noodles, shrimp, mushrooms, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and Alfredo sauce. This pasta was so delicious. And it felt very authentic because use fresh ingredients and cook the pasta right in front of you. Everyone was super kind and the service was great! This food is so good. You can make your own dish, it comes out fresh. I like going at lunch because it is clean quiet and has great food.

It's a fast in and out pasta place. They make their pasta from scratch which is pretty cool. You can order from a screen or go to the cashier and order. Pasta wasn't terrible but nothing different. We also got the pizza and it was okay. Definitely get the pasta over the pizza. I will say the tiramisu we got was frozen so I couldn't really enjoy it. Once you place your order they'll call you up to get your tray. If you need salt/pepper or Parmesan you have to get it by the register (wasn't a fan of that, should be at the tables already) Overall, it was an alright place to stop and get some quick Italian food. read more

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. It's a small casual spot. You put in your own order on the screen. I selected the Build Your Own Pasta with spaghetti noodles, Alfredo sauce, with Italian sausage, chicken, and a couple of other toppings. You get a quite a few free toppings. Hidden gem - house made pasta, fresh vegetables and happy kiddos and hubs. Everyone can find something here - I had BYOB zoodles, roasted peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, arugula. Light delicious and filling; they don't skimp on portions. My husband had the Mediterranean pasta with chicken, which is the fettuccine noodle - the texture was divine. If you are feeling a little more decadent, they do a carbonara made with Alfredo sauce. It's rich and warm and my son absolutely loves it! (I did make him get a side salad). A great place for a weekend dining with some great lighting and amazing hospitality with some great food. Plenty of options and it was so delicious. Happen to go on a Friday and it wasn't crowded at all. The staffs were extremely friendly and the Pizza maker came all the way to help us with their Self Ordering options available and explaining us if there were any questions. We built our own Pasta and ordered the Veggie Bianco Pizza along with Tiramisu. Pasta - We built the Rigatoni pasta with Alfredo sauce and some veggies. The salt was actually on the lower side and yes there was an option to Bake as well (would have loved to but didn't notice until after I placed the order). The veggies were cooked well and the cream of Pasta sauce was reasonably good. Veggie Bianco Pizza - The thin crust pizza was very good with the veggies on top. It wasn't hard like how most places serve a thin crust. Nicely baked and with the toppings I liked it. Didn't feel like an Italian one but there was something different in it. Tiramisu - Not the greatest of Tiramisu but it's ok to give a try. Loved the subtle coffee flavor but it was just very usual and normal. A very cozy ambience located very much close to the Alpharetta downtown. Great for a cool weekend evening. Has ample parking space on both sides of the restaurant with a very lit and beautiful interiors. Extremely nice and knowledgeable waiters/ cooks who were able to guide us with the best combinations. MR says ....this is our go to place for fresh pasta MRS says .... Since they have added pizza in the menu it definitely allowed us to have a bit more variety and options. The challenge sometimes is which carb load to order. The self service ordering screen can take a while to complete and take time when others don't know what to get. Lines can quickly queue up and remember they cook made to order so plan on waiting. KID says ...one of the best places to eat pasta and eat Nutella cookie which tastes amazing. I recommend build your own pasta and get rigatoni pasta with chicken in tomato sauce and basil and garlic with Parmesan cheese. read more

When paying they automatically include a 15% tip (for what?). You clean your own table. I asked for a spoon. Took several minutes as I waited at the counter. We got there at 5:50 so not crowded. Few others came after us. Not a friendly staff. VERY slow to bring out food. 1 order at a time. A fast food pasta and pizza that isn't fast. Not sure I would be back. I agree with other reviews, this place is underrated! It's very nice inside, with plenty of seating but not full of customers. There's parking on both sides of the restaurant too. Everything is self-service, you order at the two kiosks in the front and then they text you/announce your number when your order is ready. I did expect it to come out faster than it did, but they also seemed to have a lot of to-go orders at the time. What we didn't know was that we could have just gotten seated and then ordered from the QR code on the table. I did the make your own pasta. The pasta tasted chewy like it was fresh, and it was yummy. There are so many toppings to choose from! I personally was not a huge fan of the vodka sauce or the sausage, so I'd probably opt more for a chicken alfredo next time. I enjoyed the bread. It came out to be about $13, pretty reasonable price! I do wish they had cheese that you could help yourself to, I prefer more cheese on my pasta. Would definitely come again! read more

Don't expect any dishes other than pasta, pizzas, salads, and limited varieties of breads (as sides), drinks, beers, wines and desserts. You will, however, find a nice variety of fresh toppings to select from. Parking is easy to find. American Past Factory is a fast casual standalone business with its own free parking lot. The dining area inside is spacious and offers lots of places to sit. There is also an outdoor patio with some tables for customers who want to dine al fresco. Customers go through the queue, first passing by the area where pastas are made, then to the order counter where they place their orders. Customers can easily see just about all of the toppings. After ordering, customers can stick around in line just to watch the chefs create their entrees. Customers then pay at the register at the end of the line. The self serve beverage dispensers are near the register. Customers can then sit wherever they care to dine. American Past Factory has kids pasta meals. Customers can order build their own pasta, pizza and salad creations, or they can order pasta, pizza and salad entrees having pre-determined ingredients and toppings in/on them. This business has enough seating to accommodate large groups; however, I don't think they can handle cooking a lot of entrees at the same time due to limited staffing. R and I came here during lunch. We both ordered the build your own pasta. R built his with rigatoni pasta, sausage, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, parmesan, mushrooms and basil, with aglio and oglio sauce (garlic, red pepper flakes and extra virgin olive oil). I built my own pasta with fettuccini pasta, Alfredo sauce, and chicken, black olives, mushrooms, garlic and parmesan. We both got a slice of toasted bread with our meals. Looking at the pricing, we also got a pretty good deal in the form of the combo, which included a drink. We ate inside and thoroughly enjoyed our creations, which were perfectly made, hot, delicious and filling. Came here for lunch and brought my 4 kids with me. When we walked in, we were the only people and were greeted and helped the whole way through our service. The inside is very spacious and clean too! The kids were dying to try the spaghetti and meatballs and I was indecisive so ofc the only way to go is fettuccine Alfredo. I asked the three oldest to rate this place as well! The oldest (7) gave it a 2 stars because the sauce wasn't saucy. It was more of just tomatoes with a bit of sauce, but she loved the bread! The middle (5) loved every bit of it and def would order it again. The youngest middle (3) also loved it! He especially loved the meatball. I on the other hand wasn't a fan of the spaghetti sauce. It was a little too bland and salty for me. My Alfredo was okay. I loved the chicken, sauce, and broccoli. I'm not sure if I had to pay extra for the broccoli, but if I did, it def wasn't enough At all. I wasn't a fan of the pasta, it felt as if it wasn't cooked long enough and so it was more doughy. But the kids loved my pasta. They actually said they would order it next time instead of their spaghetti. The bread was really amazing tho haha! I would come back to give the pizza a try! I'm glad we finally tried this place. You basically create your own pasta using various sauces, veggies, and proteins. The pasta is made in-house, and you can tell it's high quality. We have tried a few different pastas including fettuccine Alfredo, baked rigatoni, and squash pasta. Everything has been really good. I absolutely adore this place. It puts you in the mind of a pasta bar. Immediately when I walked in I was greeted by the staff. He allowed me to take my time to explore the menu options which sit above the ordering area. Once I decided to build my own he explained my different protein options. I requested chicken. The chicken is baked not grilled. I ordered the fettuccine with Alfredo with a host of vegetables and bacon. Please also note protein options that aren't an additional charge include bacon, pepperoni, and ham. If you chose over 6 items from the bar, it's an additional 50 cents per item. After my selections, the pasta was cooked to order. They honored (even delighted) that I used my Yelp check in to get a free drink. Altogether my pasta was a little over 12 dollars. The pasta was delicious and tasted so authentic. I would also guesstimate the serving for 1 is really enough for 2 if you aren't feeling gluttonous. My kid and I were able to eat my serving and we were both content. The only criticism I have is the limitation of selecting items before reaching an additional charge. Ordered online and went to pick up order. Ordered 2 drinks with it and they only had small cups and no lids... if they knew this was the case they should have automatically removed the drinks from the order if it couldn't be provided properly. When we saw the 2 cups sitting next to the order and no lids near the drink station we asked for lids and were simply told "no, there aren't any"....I can't believe their expectation was to walk out with a carry out order and 2 open drinks with no lids. I picked the order up within minutes and live around the corner but somehow the chicken in the chicken Alfredo was ice cold as in not cooked which means they use frozen quality chicken. There was no sauce, it was so dry...so imagine frozen chicken in dry pasta, all cold. Both had bolognese sauce and one with added meatballs. The sauce was not there. The meatballs weren't there either. I must say the spaghetti was al-dente which was good. This was the first time we visited the American Pasta Factory in Roswell. We were pleasantly surprised by our first experience. I ordered the 4 cheese ravioli with vodka sauce. It was amazing. The pasta was soft and tender. The four cheeses stuffed inside the ravioli and the vodka sauce were very flavorful. They offer you bread and parmesan cheese to place on top of the pasta. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The chef recommended the vodka sauce, because I told him that I wanted to combine the Alfredo and marinara sauces. I like this place a lot! I love the idea of customizable, fresh food, at reasonable prices! I went here with my family yesterday and we all enjoyed our food. I have just a couple of things that I think could be improved. One of them is the chicken. I thought that it could've been seasoned and cooked more. Also, the bread was a bit too crispy, but I know that bread can really be up to preference. This place seems decent BUT they have a serious flaw...the ordering process. I would not even step foot in this place if there is anyone in line. They have 2 computers that you place your own order from. People were taking 10 minutes or longer because of all the choices. Literally you will be frustrated with the people in front of you. It is worse than waiting at the DMV especially when you are hungry. Maybe they should have a line for people that know what they want and then a separate line for those who are not sure and probably a line for 65+, nothing against that age group but one computer was occupied for almost 15 minutes with 2 people of that age group. Most of that demographic would rather talk to someone than use a computer. It will seriously make people not want to come back. I guess you could order online if in a hurry but again if this place gets any sort of rush it will be painful for the potential customers standing around wondering what is taking so long. The restaurant is minimalist feel with about 8 booths and 7 or so tables with uncomfortable chairs. A few pictures on a wall and some mix of light rock music from different decades and at an acceptable noise level. Food took an unusually long time considering there were only 2 people in front of me and it's fresh pasta, not like a 10 minute cook or anything. Why it took 20 minutes I have no idea except for no one was behind the counter doing much for awhile. In fact they seemed to be taking breaks and wiping their noses with their arm. When your order is ready they are supposed to text you if you entered your number but they ignore that process and instead call out order numbers bringing the feeling of some mall food court restaurant. The taste of the food was decent but rigatoni is not rigatoni it was more of a ziti or penne plus it was missing two of my 6 ingredients or just really skimped on. Not sure I want to go to a pasta place that doesn't know pasta. (Rigatoni is always ridged!!!) Lots of ingredient choices but only 4 pastas to choose from plus a zoodles which technically is a gluten free option but no multigrain or soba so really no gluten free pasta. Besides fountain drinks, some bottled items and fresh iced tea, they also have wine and beer. If the ordering process were better and the rigatoni would have been rigatoni and the ingredients weren't skimped on, this would be closer to 4 stars. Stopped in this rainy evening as the desire to cook wasn't really in my wheelhouse after the long day at work. Had no idea what to expect, but I was praying there was some kind of food to go option and was pleasantly surprised that this is the equivalent of a fast food pasta place. It's kind of like a Subway shop. You pick the kind of noodles, up to 6 toppings, can add additional meat for a nominal cost. They cook it up in front of you, you select a beverage, and then you're on your way. Is this place the best gourmet Italian food you'll ever eat? No. Just like Subway isn't the top of the line gourmet sandwich style shop. That's not what you're going there for. You're going there for a quick meal that tastes delicious and be gone. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the Italian sausage was flavorful (but not spicy) as promised, and it was quick and painless. Exactly what I needed tonight! If there was just one drawback, I would love to have a garlic bread option, or a cheesy garlic bread. They have flatbreads (loaded with whatever) that you can purchase, and a slice (or two!) of plain Italian loaf that comes with the meal, but no garlic bread that just rounds off the meal. So to avoid any form of regret, I'd say less is more when you're picking add-ons. When I went, the pasta was a little over-cooked and the pasta sauces themselves were lackluster in the flavor department. The salads were OK. On the plus side, all of the ingredients are fresh, albeit nothing special or unique. I can say It is fun experience to watch them make the pasta in front of you. Overall, this place is just average. Truthfully, I'd be disappointed in myself to spend over $20 for a sólo entre here. This place is best for families with kids who want a quick lunch or dinner, without the fuss. Or maybe stopping by with kiddos after their little league baseball game. The best thing I can say about American Pasta Factory is that it's convenient. If you're looking for somewhere new to eat with your honey, skip it. Craving Italian for takeout? You can do better by just going to any run of the mill Italian restaurant. Pay $16 for the entree, because you'll end up paying more out the door with the add-ons at APF. If you're feeling cheap, just go to Olive Garden. But my honest advice? I can't express enough how yummy this pasta is. Don't be fulled by the average looking interior/exterior. It is the best Italian food I've had in Atlanta. Definitely worth checking out. When my wife and I went, it was an off time, so there was nobody in line behind us. I was able to take my time with ordering and the owner (I assume) was very patient. He explained everything very well. I recommend looking at the menu online before so you can get an idea of what you'd like. My wife and I ordered totally different but both were great. There are so many options to choose that you should be able to find what you want. I was very excited to learn that the noodles are made in house as I was reminded of how delicious they are at a noodle house that I go to in Johns Creek. Unfortunately the pasta here didn't taste quite as fresh as the noodle house but was still good. The $11.99 special is what I recommend. Pasta, sauce, six add ins, a meat and beverage.
