Pizza Lucca has become one of our favorite pizza spots in Roswell. My kids and I love coming here--the pizza is consistently excellent, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. They use Italian double-zero flour, high-quality ingredients, and an authentic Italian oven that turns out that perfect thin, slightly charred crust you want from true Neapolitan-style pizza. Everything tastes fresh, simple, and done the right way. Another big plus is the atmosphere. There's usually plenty of room inside, so it's an easy place to bring the family, and the front porch is a great spot to sit outside, enjoy a beverage, and have a relaxed meal. For me, Pizza Lucca rivals Antico when it comes to authentic Italian pizza--and having something this good right here in Roswell makes it even better. Highly recommend. read more

We have only ordered to go so far but the experience was great! The pizza is reasonably priced, super tasty, and cooked to perfection. The staff I encountered was welcoming and friendly. They have a whole dessert section which everything looked great, we ended up selecting the chocolate chip cheesecake. I love pizza and I would say that the service isn't that great. I have been to this place a couple of times, and I haven't ever been out for dinner and had someone wait on me, but both times, I was disappointed in the service I received from the employees. Not greeted by a smile or even a hello, just "For pickup?" Rudely brief and generally unfriendly. Even if it's another person that brought my order, he was unfriendly, even with his smile and greeting. This left me with an awful taste in my mouth, and I must say I like their pizza, but this time it was an awful taste. I don't know if this was two bad days or not, but I just hope that they provide better service in such a nice place. read more

Today I went here for the first time and was excited to try a brick oven pizza place in Roswell. The pictures on the menu looked great. The price point was way higher than I would expect for a brick oven pizza because I paid $30 for a large, but I'm willing to pay that if it's good Pizza. We walk in and they have our pizza ready at the exact time they told us it would be ready. We decided to just eat in there so we sit down at a table and open up the pizza box and the pizza is basically raw. We pick a piece out and it wasn't even cooked to have the crunchy crispy bottom crust that you would expect from a brick oven pizza. It was completely floppy and all the toppings just poured off. You had to support it with two hands to even take a bite. I walked over and asked the lady if she could put the pizza back in the oven for a couple minutes. She immediately told me no because it was already sliced and that it would just fall apart. I asked her if she could put it on a tray or an oven rack and put it in there. She told me no because then it would just turn black. So I paid $30 for a basically raw pizza. The pepperonis weren't even cooked. They tasted like raw pepperoni does. I took the pizza home and put it in my oven and cooked it at 500° for 15 minutes and it came out with a nice crunchy crust like you would expect. Then the pizza itself was good. But with that lack of customer service and serving raw pizza, I would not recommend this place at all. Really wanted to like this place. We used to love this restaurant, but it's become less and less friendly over the last two years. They wouldn't let us bring in a birthday cake recently, which fair enough, they sell desserts, but they were very rude with their refusal. We're back tonight, and the girl taking our order was rude and dismissive and then made us stand there waiting to pay while she had a conversation with a co-worker. There's also a sign at the front door telling you what you can't do here. I mean, we can't bring our t-ball team to a pizza restaurant after a game?! The pizza itself was amazing. Quite possibly the best pizza I have ever had. However, their whole system detracts from the quality of their food. You order at the counter, are given a number, and then seat yourself at an indoor picnic table that resembles something of an army barracks and wait for someone to bring your food. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with light sauce and my husband ordered some meatballs and a glass of wine. He was disappointed by the meatballs and even more-so that his wine came in a plastic cup. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza but also found the ambiance to be a bit off-putting. For the prices they charge, the experience should certainly be more elevated than it is, which is why we won't be back. If I was rating the pizza alone, it would easily be 5 stars, but I think 3 is the maximum justified rating for the experience as a whole. Great pizza, but this place has had issue after issue. Besides their owners' open distain for children, we have given them chance after chance. Tonight we ordered online at 5:45. I showed up at 6:20 to see if it was ready, but they couldn't find the order. They finally ran it though again telling me it would be 20 mins. It's now 7:07 and I'm still waiting. I feel bad because they are incredibly short staffed during a week most people are off work. One girl working there was running between making pizzas, answering phones and taking orders at the register. I'm finally done with this place. Children are regarded with open disdain, even when they are seated and well-behaved. If you want to come here with a few families to celebrate anything, FAHGETABOUTIT. As you'll discover when you arrive, groups of 16 or more require you to rent out the entire facility. And I'm not convinced that children would be treated any better, even if you rent the place out. Went to Lucca at 5:30 for a quick bite before daddy/daughter dance repeating what we did last year. The manager said she wouldn't serve us because we were a large group with too many kids. She said that we could not have 2 tables because it was their 'busy' time. There were 6 empty tables. Yelp - you may want to edit Lucca's 'features' section about being 'good for groups' and 'good for kids' That's 8 families now that will never dine at or recommend Lucca. We ordered our food and it came out super quick. We had the Fig and prosciutto pizza and the Lucca which is sausage onion and red peppers - so delicious!! The fig pizza has fig preserves which really pack a punch when you bite into the slice. The salads are awesome...we had Caesar and Greek. The one thing could be maybe a little extra dressing....maybe two containers instead of one - but the salads are super fresh and tasty! Pizzeria Lucca is located near the entrance of Roswell Mill. Inside is an open space with long tables and long benches to sit. On one side of the place you can see the three wood fire ovens. We got two pizzas, Margherita and Lucca as per the servers suggestion (they're the most popular choices). The pizza came out within 10-15 minutes. The Margherita was tasty, good amount of cheese, sauce, and dough. The Lucca was a bit crowded with toppings that made the pie a bit salty. Overall, these were great pizzas. I want to say they're comparable to Anticos but it's been a while since I've been to give a firm comparison. read more

I've ordered from this pizzeria occasionally since around 2020. For the most part, the pizzas are done in a timely manner and are overall taste pretty good. It's a very thin, soft crust. The ingredients are fresh, the amount of ingredients sometimes seems light, but genuinely this is a good spot for a quick dinner. The only thing that's hard for me to justify is the price of the pizzas! $17 for an individual margarita pizza is mind blowing to me. I understand food costs have gone up over the years, but this place is hard to feed your entire family for under $45. Overall, I do think the food is a bit over priced, but if you're looking for a quick pizza pie and don't want the chain restaurants, I would recommend. I have been eating at Pizzeria Lucca regularly since it opened. In my opinion, Lucca is one of the top two pizza places in the Atlanta metro area - only Anticio competes. The pizza is made with authentic Italian ingredients - absolutely amazing. It's sad to see this quality of a restaurant receive somewhat lower reviews not because of food quality, but because of issues that customers have had with price or the owners' policies against having large groups meet there. Early on, before the policy, I was there and the place could become a bit of a madhouse with kids running around, etc. I have kids myself and have always enjoyed bringing them here. The pizza is always amazing and the staff is friendly. I have even come to love the bare bones ambiance of the place. Truly a local gem that I will keep coming to as long as they are here. read more

Went to this NY-style pizzeria a few weeks ago since we drive by it every now and then and finally decided to give it a try. It was lunch time on a Saturday, and we were the only ones there so far. Party of 3, so decided to just get an app, a large salad, and of course a pizza. The salad was pre-packed with all the ingredients, so you had to assemble it yourself. We have come here for 5 years and love the pizza. Even amongst Neapolitan places it's one of the better pies. But far too many rules and restrictions that we no longer feel welcome there. The hours on the restaurant are wrong. We arrived at 11:30 (stated open on front door). After speaking with an employee, they actually open at noon. They used to give free Parmesan, chili oil, etc. when I asked where they went, they rudely told me it would cost me money. We tried to bring in a slice of cake to celebrate a relatives birthday (after spending $100!) after seeing they don't offer cake. They made us bring the cake back to our car. Lastly, we arrived at open as a church group (to an empty restaurant), and they refused to serve us. They said they don't serve parties greater than 10. Again, an empty restaurant. It was a few 2/4 person parties combined. No different than if 2 families walked in one after the other. So we had no choice but to leave. I've never been refused service at an empty restaurant before. Do they even want customers?!? read more
