Bland AF. Can't get your order eight, and then when told about the mistake, wants to argue. This.place can't go out of business fast enough.

I am in Jackson for work and was craving sesame chicken. This place hit the spot! And the egg roll was so crispy and flaky. Yum!

Good quality Chinese. Nothing special, but a-ok in my book. Large portions and cheap prices is something to love!

Whenever I'm out of town, I ALWAYS look for a Korean restaurant, and as luck would have it, there are a few in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Yay!! Only thing wrong with my search, two of the three were closing in ten minutes and the third was advertised as Fried Chicken. I was 15 minutes away, so I gave in for the chicken, with fingers crossed that they'd have other popular dish options. Beautiful little restaurant when you arrive, very clean too. Immediately greeted and asked if to-go or dine-in, as they have a good counter for food delivery services. I of course opted to dine-in since I had about an hour til closing. Really nice looking menu, with plenty of selections beyond Fried Chicken. I didn't hesitate too long as to expedite my meal before closing. I ordered Pork Pot Stickers (Yakimandu), JapChae, and some Bulgogi. PanChan was extra, and the Kimchi along with Pickled Radish were my selection. The Yakimandu arrived first, nicely plated with half So Garlic Sauce and half Spicy Sauce. The mandi were delicious with these brushed sauces. That Spicy was no joke either, had a really good burning kick. The remainder of the meal was brought out together. The plates looked great and I couldn't wait to dig in, but if course pictures first. Both were super delicious and really hitting the spot after a long day. Very tasty meals. The staff brought me out a dessert after seeing me take all the photos, something I've never had, Deep Fried Cheesecake. Check out the photos. Definitely a different take on the dessert. Everything outside was crispy, of course, with the inside still the same. It was a texture experience. The staff were super friendly, very well knowledged on the menu items. Place was very clean, not just clean, but very clean! I think they said they've been there just over a year. I was served by Freda, and Caroline was there to assist when needed. The hostess was a real sweetheart, I'll call hers "Zaps" (because she had the TV remote at closing and I missed her real name). Young masked gentleman, again missed name, and one of the owners Kenny and his wife Lin. So good, I will be eating lunch and/or dinner there again tomorrow or Monday depending on time. I definitely want to try the Fried Chicken, probably not with the Spicy Sauce this time. LOL I do highly recommend you try this place if you haven't.

Fun fact - Dak means chicken in Korean :) So Chicken Good!…read more I visit my fam in Kzoo every summer so my sister brought me here bc she knows I love Korean food. She's been to Dak a couple other times and said it was good. Place is somewhat new so it has that new interior clean vibe still. We were greeted right away and our waitress was really nice and attentive. We ordered the Korean cheese balls, buldak - spicy chicken with rice cakes so if you can't handle the spice don't get this!, stone bowl bibimbap with tofu, and the Korean sliders - you can choose beef or chicken and we went with beef. Everything was delish! Dak Good is a nice edition to Kzoo/Portage so I'd def go back on my next visit :)

The curries, especially the green curry, are intensely savory yet delicately balanced by authentic and aromatic ingredients that you can taste in every spoonful. I've had some of the best Thai in Queens and LA and this place is no joke. Even the crab rangoon and kickboxing chicken tailored for American palate are carefully prepared with their own style and addictive. I've come here many times with friends and colleagues with different levels of adventurousness and spice tolerances and they've all raved about this place (if you like spicy, this is paradise for you, otherwise get the mild with some extra heat on the side). The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions generous. The service is warm and attentive not surprising for a family-run restaurant with high standards.

I've had it sit down and take out, and in both instances the serving size was really good making it way worth the price. When I've ordered online, they always pay close attention to the extra instructions I add about adding cucumber and spice so you don't have to worry about that being overlooked. The ambiance of the restaurant is honestly top tier with the real flowers and candles on each table, aesthetic consistency, along with their round turning table perfect for large parties. These are the things I've tried from there: Orange chicken: 7/10 (and only because it's not my favorite dish anywhere, I just tried a bite of someone else's but it's good and has fresh mandarin in it; it quickly became my dad's favorite dish there) Pork Larb: again and again 10/10 I could eat this everyday Sesame chicken: 8/10 (not the best of the best I've tried but still very good) Kick boxing chicken: 10/10 Sticky rice: 10/10 perfect with my Larb Thai tea: 10/10. the best Thai tea I've had in Michigan. Very creamy and great flavor I've had a lot of Asian food in my day but this place is definitely one of the best in what they have.

Definitely my go-to entree. Thai-Style Calamari (5/5): One of THE main reasons I love Pacific Rim so much. This is the best calamari appetizer I've had. Lightly breaded and fresh. The sweet chili sauce is perfect. Thai Peanut Noodles (4/5): The noodles had great texture and the Thai peanut sauce was delicious. The tofu wasn't really crispy and I personally would've loved the option to add some meat. Lamb Dumpling (4/5): Lots of meat in the filling and didn't taste gamy at all. Limited time special. Shrimp Shumai (4/5): Really enjoyed the wonton wrapper. Shrimp flavor came through nicely. Limited time special. House Salad (4/5): Light and fresh. The soy based dressing was sweet, slightly acidic, and not at all overpowering. Warm Chocolate Cake (4/5): Delicious cake with a warm, gooey inside. I personally don't like coconut or chocolate and fruit desserts, but I still enjoyed this a lot. Creme Brulee Tasting (4/5) : Green tea, pumpkin spice, and ginger creme brulees. Loved getting to try a little bit of each flavor (green tea was my favorite). Spiced Caramel Pear (3/5): Not my favorite since I don't generally like cooked fruit. It was just me, my kids, and a handful of people eating their packed lunches. I think one other person ordered food the entire lunchtime we were there. We had to walk past a security desk and down a hallways past conference rooms to get to the cafeteria counter where Qilin is located. It felt kind of like we were intruding - almost like we had walked into someone else's living room. But we got crab rangoon and lotus chicken appetizers - both were FIRE! I wished for another order. We got the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, three orders of different dumplings, and some Boba tea. I would place the food on par with some of my other southeast Michigan favorites - Yee Siang, Kungfu Bros - the dumplings were phenomenal. I will be back - I wish the place was in its own storefront that was a bit less awkward / inconvenient to visit, but good food is good food, and the service was quite pleasant, so I'm hoping for success for them.
