I can't rate this any Lower. My family came in town we tried this restaurant because the Buffett would not let us order quarts and things they wanted the by pound . My family got a hundred and thirty six dollars of fried rice lomein noodle dumplings ragoons. It was horrible food we live in Albion so drive special to Jackson for food. When I called to see what to do, they said bring back we will make new. Why would I drive to Jackson and have horrible food remade. They stated that fried rice doesn't have egg in it when I stated there was no egg in fried rice . The rumblings were not cooked. No flavor nothing. Really enjoyed my visit to this Chinese restaurant! I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it did not disappoint -- crispy, tender, and coated in a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy sauce. The portion was generous, and it came out hot and fresh. Service was great -- friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. The dining area was clean, and had a nice vibe. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the rice was a little on the dry side, but everything else more than made up for it. Definitely coming back to try more dishes soon! read more

I used to come here and eat as a kid with my mom way back in 92' over the years as I have come back to visit I usually would come in to order as the food was always good. Today was a very sad day, as I encountered the worst server I have ever had, at any restaurant. She was rude, insulting and you couldn't even understand her English at all. When I tried to explain that I could not understand her, she just got more and more rude. Like, if you don't like people, then don't work with people. Then one of our orders was wrong, and she set the recipt so that her tip was already included, when I know they don't do that there. The Orange Chicken was acidic, there was next to no meat in the Hunan mix, the fried rice was bland, and the crab rangoons weren't fried long enough so they were soft and chewy instead of crispy. When we called to patiently reorder the missing meal we were told that it would take another 45 minutes. We waited past that time and called again. This time we were told that it was on the way. I've always enjoyed my meals here. It's a cooked to order Chinese spot, no buffet. The traditional dishes are good and the place is always very clean which cannot be said for all Chinese restaurants. Their sweet and sour chicken and crab ragoons are excellent. You can definitely tell it's cooked to order as there seems to be less thickness in the sauces and more seasonings used. The chicken was good but the sauce should be a basic gravy but it tasted like a mix of gravy and sweet-n-sour. I order this all time and have never had this gross combonation to pour over the chicken. I also ordered crab ragoons, they were ok but they are usualy accompanied with a sweet duck or plum sauce, I received nether so I was forced to try and eat them plain. Took my mom here for a late lunch and as always the food and service were excellent. This is hands down one of the cleanest resturants I have ever eaten in. Thats why I keep coming back.
