BEWARE OF HORRIBLE EMPLOYEE TRUDY AT THIS LOCATION CLAYTON RD #705 5190 CLAYTON RD CONCORD, CA 94521 Good evening Victoria: I hope this email finds you well. I went to the online website but found no where I can convey this issue to and thus your information populated in the Lucky website so hope you can help. Please pass this to corporate. At around 11:00 am today at Lucky store 5190 Clayton Rd. Concord I came in grabbed a case of pop and asked the cashier on the self checkout lane to please grab me some smokes, as I waited for a bit, I rang up my pop and waited for her to come by and so I can just ring up the cigarettes separate. (pretty simple right? nope) This is where Trudy a cashier at this location started to speak out unprofessionally. She stated, "if you would have just waited for a second, you could have rang both up"?? I then advised her she was just taking a little bit longer and I would just pay for the other product separately. (she kept mumbling) As I put the my credit card to pay, I noticed the price was wrong because she got the wrong cigarettes, I advised her 3 times what type, as it was just next to the pack she pulled out and also pointed it after the 4th time . Again, I was about to pay but she had the wrong price... I can understand one or two mistakes but this is a bit much to just come in try to get two items and leave. I advised her, I was paying for the actual cigarettes and she started opening her mouth and negatively comment towards me about how I was not patient enough? Right after she said that and I paid, a customer I do not know of, she reaches out to him and said look a this customer who is being a BAD CUSTOMER?? (WHO DOES THIS)? I thus started leaving and the guy who had nothing to do with this incident started to talk to me and I advised him of the situation which I never even had to if Trudy didn't REACH OUT TO THE OTHER CUSTOMER in the first place. The guy started to talk to me and I said its none of your business, and F off and guess who said F off back to me??? Yes TRUDY SAID OUT LOUD FUCK YOU TO ME(one of your customers). Now I don't know if this is the typical at these stores but I would want someone to do something about this. If you went to the grocery store and had the same horrible experience that Trudy gave, you too would want something to be done. I don't know what other company allows their employees to say FUCK YOU TO CUSTOMERS? PLEASE REVIEW THE TAPES AT THAT STORE AS THIS IS AN ISSUE, IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, TRUDY TALKS THAT WAY WITH ME, HOW MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS HAS SHE TALKED TO THAT WAY WITHOUT ANYONE EVERY SAYING ANYTHING. I was so upset and frustrated as a customer that I left my cigarettes at the store so I had to make a second trip back. When I arrived around 11:25 am, I requested a manager because this issue needs to be addressed. I was provided an assistant manager Annette who was very helpful. I explained my concern and can only hope they spoke to her and provided her some disciplinary action. I also spoke to her about TRUDY AND HOW SHE SAID FUCK YOU TO ME AROUND OTHER CUSTOMERS AND HOW DISRESPECTFUL SHE WAS. WHEN I SPOKE WITH ANNETTE; TRUDY HAD THE audacity TO YELL AT ME IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS AGAIN AND TRY TO GET IN CONFRONTATION AGAIN. If you are afraid of covid, please don't come here. Tonya, the "person in charge" was very rude and unprofessional to me tonight. The cashier, Tammy had a horrible attitude as well. I come in there time to time and ask if I can use their plastic bags rather than have to grab a cart due to my covid fears. They were so unprofessional, there was no one to even ask when I came in at approximately 7ish this evening. One of the customers thought I worked there bc there was no one else, and I wear ppe in stores like this. So because of their lack of attentiveness and staffing, Tonya starts eyeballing me as I'm getting my belongings to buy. I say hi to her and realize she's looking at me nasty as ever. Not asking do I need help once. Then I realized what she was trying to imply with just staring at me and I asked her "Do you think I'm trying to steal this stuff?" Then I just kind of laughed because it's Preposterous to me. I start telling her I come here occasionally doing the same safety ritual. She tries cutting me off as I'm speaking saying you won't be able to steal anything cuz you won't go through the door without checking out. The lady had no idea I just bought 4 chickens from the hot bar and was helped by Martha whom was very sweet. Had they been there to help, this would've never happened. She made me feel so gross and unwelcome. Everytime I asked who was in charge, she and Tammy were mean to me. I'm wearing gloves 3 masks, and a clear visor. CLEARLY AFRAID OF COVID. Tammy then starts badgering me rudely saying "I did nothing to you, so you dont need to tell on me. Dont blame me for Tonya. I know you're probably going to complain on me. I was on break during the situation". I never accused her of one thing. Her comment further proves no one was at self check out to help when I initially needed it. It was crazy. As much as I HATE to say this, it's probably also got to do with me being a young BLACK WOMAN on clayton road, minding my business buying food. Had they been sweet, I would have tipped them. They come off racist, and it was so hurtful. Please, don't come here. They care nothing about their customers. Being racist and mean will never get you blessed. Although I encountered a slight issue with my coupons not going through, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service provided by Carl, the friendly checker. I went through Tamera's checkout lane and was trying to enter my phone number on the key pad, but the key pad was not working properly. Tamera says to me what are you doing. I tried to explain to her that I was trying to enter my phone number but the key pad wasn't working properly and she sounds annoyed and says she will enter the phone number in. Then she makes some comment about customers being spoiled and entitled because she had to enter the phone number in on her side. I said it's ok never mind about the phone number. I don't get how I'm spoiled and entitled when the key pad machine is messing up. Towards the end of my purchase she admitted that the key pad machine has been acting up. After that I rarely shop here and when I do, I go through self checkouts. read more

My problem isn't with the local Lucky, but with Lucky Corporate. Why do I need to download an app to get coupons? Why can't you still work the way you used to - "If it's on SALE, it's on SALE!" Not only that, but the app was very difficult to install and use. My email address does not have the wrong format! The checker had problems getting the app to work, and then he handed it off to the Manager, who also had problems. Finally, the manager had to use his own ID to override the situation. I felt bad that the people behind me in line had to wait also. I told the staff that if they could take care of this, I'd never bother them again. Not sure I will ever be back! Too bad, because they are close and I like to know they are there if I need something. read more

So after school me and my friend were walking around and we get stopped by this Asian guy that happens to be the manger and kicked us out for walking around and years ago I got stopped by this Chubby dude that works their but after I bought something he accused me of stealing it and he racially profiled me and we got into an argument and he made me dig in the trash to find the receipt when I told him to do it so I told him to shut up and I'll find it then I found the receipt and he tried to apologize like nothing happened I don't recommend coming here if ur trying to shop in peace . read more

Ive been shopping at this location since it was Albertsons and its only gone downhill since the big change. I still get "watched" while purchasing alcohol as if im some sort of criminal, even though half the employees know me... And then theres always the prejudice and discriminatory employees that apparently are disgruntled and unhappy. OH YEAH, make sure to check dates on perishables as usually only a day or two away from "sell by" date... Take your business elsewhere!! This is a racist Luckys, read the comments throughout. Nothing against the younger people working there, but I've even witnessed them attack a young man because of how he looked. I've been here enough times to say something always feels off as others have said about going here. Don't know who manager is but it's time to call him out.
