To go box, I love a personal touch!

Been wanting to try this place for a long time, so I stopped in today. Tried the burnt ends and the Cuban sandwich. Burnt ends sauce was really tasty, the ends themselves were ok, not as burnt as I'd like but that's preferential and to each their own. Was a bit more fat on them than I expected, but again, some folks enjoy that, so just information. Cuban was very good. First off, it's hard to find a decent (if any) Cuban in Cincinnati, so kudos for offering one! The pork, pickles and cheese were all tasty and bread was pressed and indeed crunchy. I also felt it was good value for money at $11 with fries. The fries are coated, which I don't like at all, but again that's my preference and bears no weight here as many people like that. I asked for them crispy and they accommodated which I appreciate. Ambience is good, low light with TVs going and a welcoming feel. I would recommend this place for the Cuban alone so give it a try. The server Sara was very nice and really just pleasant in a genuine manner which was refreshing. She seemed earnestly happy that anyone came in and treated them as such. Good job Sara!

Decent kid friendly place to chill out and have a beer and wings. Of course if you follow my reviews, if they have wings on the menu it's a must I order them. Lucky Dog's wings did not disappoint. Perfect size and smoked to my liking. Many beer choices served at the perfect refreshing temp. They other menu items looked delicious to try on a return visit. I'd recommend Lucky Dog for a group or with a bunch of loud kids. They loved the desert menu.

Lunch on a Saturday. Only one waitress working, but she did a good job. I had the smoked wings. Excellent. Draft beer ? Miller Lite, very good. Wife a chicken Philly. She says 4 stars. Nice large clean restaurant.

Overall our experience was great! The food was tasty, service was quick and the prices were pretty average for local restaurant in the area. We will definitely be back in the future! The food was really good. The French fries were crispy, the black bean burger a little spicy and my husband enjoyed his sandwich. The only thing that threw us both off was the coleslaw. My husband had been on the search for a good slaw for a few years and still hasn't found the place. It's named "Spicy Coleslaw" but there was nothing spicy about it. It tasted pretty plain. They need to add salt and make it savory or add some sugar and make it sweet. The service was impeccable. Our server Kaitlin was amazing and we didn't have to ask for refills because she just brought them!

I've been to lucky dog numerous times but back then I didn't do yelp and despised people who took pictures of their food... now I have self hate... I work through it every day. Anyways, this place is hard for me to rank as I've had 5* experiences and 4*. Mostly 4* so I'll go with that for now because that was my last experience. The atmosphere is definitely a sports bar feel and I mean that in a good way. It's relaxed and you could definitely bring your kids and family here during a game without being heckled. If I remember correctly this is a Browns bar so expect to see the Browns on. The service has always been great. They are attentive and will answer any questions you have about the menu or beer selections. The last time I went I sat at the bar and she was very nice. She helped me choose between a few options I was stuck over. Food here is great. In recent memory I've had the philly (amazing!!), and the Cuban (pretty good), and in the past I think it was Cajun pasta (?)(but it was very good). They have a nice selection for everyone and everyone I've went with has always enjoyed their food. Overall, it's a great place to eat, grab a beer, spend time with friends and family, and to watch a game or just catch up.

Pluses; Dog friendly patio. Woot! Good beer selection. My wife had a delicious cider and I enjoyed a nice Dragon's Milk stout on tap. The food was also very good; BLT with a fried egg and a prime rib sandwich. The salads were fresh greens and the blue cheese dressing was tasty. Cons; Service was a bit slower and staffing was low. We were not in a hurry so no issues for us and they have signs posted for such. But if you want quick, might not be you best choice

WOW!!! Food~amazing! Service~top notch! I would come here once a week if we lived close.

Driving the restaurant is a little hard to spot. However, the parking lot is large and can fit many people. It is a dog friendly place (eat on the patio). They give your dog plenty of treats and their own dog menu! I got my dog the smoked chicken and she finished Jt within seconds! The waiters and waitresses were excellent. The service was fast and nice! And the food was pretty decent. I loved the bacon wrapped jalapeños. Overall great restaurant and I can't wait to bring my dog back!

Wing Of The North! If you know .. you know Picked up some smoked wings for a night in with friends and these bad boys did not disappoint! I've never been to Lucky Dog but I've heard that these wings are worth the special trip. Couple things to note: The wings are not broken down into drums and flats. It's the whole 3-part wing. An extra large order comes with 9. The wings are served un-sauced with a brown sugar glaze. You then order sauce to come on the side. The wings were excellent. Lot of meat on the bone and very tender. They also travelled well. As a sauce fanatic, I went a little overboard and ordered quite a few options to dip my wings into. Some of my favorites were: spicy garlic, mild, gold bbq and honey chipotle bbq. They have many more choices as well. Of course, your standard bleu cheese, ranch and celery. Again, only a takeout order so I can't judge the interior or any interaction with wait staff, but I also ordered the Triple Threat appetizer, where you select three of the seven options, and I was pretty unimpressed. Went with pretzel bites, loaded fries and potato flats. The portion size was less than what I expected it to be, and all three choices were par for the course as far as bar food staples go. Nothing extraordinary here. Fast & easy GrubHub affiliated pick up order, with the ability to select specific time. They were ready 10 minutes before my scheduled time slot. Closed on Monday's. Get the smoked wings and don't be afraid to get messy!

Since this is called the Lucky Dog Grille, does this mean they're dog friendly? Yes they are. You can bring your dog and sit on the nice patio. Inside there's a nice bar. The bar is good for watching games. Although it's in a strip mall, this is better than it looks. It has lots of beer and a greasy food menu like a typical bar. This one though is a good place for dog owners. It has a patio that you can bring your pet into. They also have a menu just for dogs so that's kickass. Among the offerings for humans, the draft list is the best thing about this place. I had a MadTree Shade beer. This is about $5 for a pint. It has a friendly staff who love dogs. It doesn't say you can't, but maybe you can bring a cat instead. Why would you do that?

This was our first time here. We had high hopes on the way there while reading all their fantastic sounding menu options. We were talking about how we were going to choose what to get! We were disappointed. The staff was nice, our server was great, the inside was nice, but the food was meh. The burnt ends were not even burnt a little bit. Not one single bit of char anywhere. The pretzels and cheese were basic and ok. The cheese was extremely runny though. The beer flight was ok, my husband just didn't like 3 of the 4 he chose. My Brutus burger was dry and basically flavorless. It comes with bbq sauce (which was good) but the rest of the burger and pulled pork just didn't have any moisture or flavor. My loaded fries were the best thing I ate. My husband got the Smoked Prime Rib Philly Sandwich. It was sooooo dry that he could barely swallow it. He actually had to add my leftover bbq sauce just to be able to even eat it. He said it had no flavor at all! His mac n cheese side was creamy but mushy. We will not be going back here again. What a disappointment.

Hubby & I went here for Cincinnati Burger Week & ordered the yum yum burger with a side of fries. I wasn't sure if I would like the yum yum sauce so I ordered it on the side. Let me just say that the yum yum sauce is delicious! They make it homemade & I would order a side of it just for fry dipping. Our burgers were excellent & I especially liked the onion ring on top. The fries were served piping hot & were good. The service was good except our server forgot to give us any napkins. Can't eat a yum yum burger without napkins! We will definitely be back!

I've eaten my way through every smokehouse in Cincinnati, so when I say Midwest Best BBQ is the real deal, believe me. My arteries are practically Yelp-certified. The team of servers and cooks seems like they recruited an entire football team of young men from the University of Cincinnati; service so fast you'd think they were running a two-minute drill, attentive enough to make your mom jealous, and coordinated like they're protecting the quarterback only this time, the quarterback is your pulled-pork sandwich. Their wings, rubs, and sauces? Every single flavor profile was so good I nearly proposed to the coleslaw. And don't get me started on the G-Funk wings. They're delightful, though naming wings after a rap genre means you half expect Dr. Dre to hand you wet wipes. And let's talk about the smoking schedule. They've got a night smoker and a day smoker, which sounds less like a BBQ setup and more like a buddy-cop movie: "Day Smoker plays by the rules, Night Smoker breaks 'em, but together they deliver justice... in the form of brisket." Mark, one of the owners, literally smokes meat during a half-day shift with the love and passion of a Michelin-star chef who moonlights as Cupid. This guy makes ribs like he's serenading them. If Hallmark made a "Brisket Romance" channel, Mark would star in every single movie. I bought several pounds of meat to take home. Not "a pound." Several. Because nothing says "self-control" like hiding a bag of smoked chicken behind your kale in the fridge. Exclamation point. Period. Now, location... ...here's the kicker. They're hidden off the road over a hundred yards. That's right, it's the Area 51 of BBQ. You basically need Google Maps, a Sherpa, and divine intervention to find them. Yet, somehow, when you do, it feels like stumbling upon the Ark of the Covenant... ...only tastier, and fewer Nazis melting. Inside? Casual. TVs locked on Bengals or Reds games, so you can watch disappointment while you eat happiness. Patio? Shaded. Perfect for when you want to sweat from the hot sauce, not the sun. The sides? Top echelon. Beans, slaw, cornbread, each one a little sidekick to the main meat superhero. And for the low-carb crowd, this place is a protein paradise. Keto bros rejoice: you can bench-press your brisket guilt-free. Bottom line: Midwest Best BBQ doesn't just feed you, it baptizes you in smoke, sauce, and joy. And if you're not leaving with meat sweats, did you even go?

Our server told us that the lava cake is supposed to come with ice cream and they ran out, so she took it off our bill which was very nice. I ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, Hickory-smoked pulled pork + Tangy Carolina gold BBQ sauce + Southern slaw + House pickles + Cowboy Crack Sauce + Buttered brioche with fries. It has coleslaw and their special Cowboy Crack sauce on it. The pulled pork was cooked well, huge amount of meat. Definitely not shredded, but pulled apart. A few chunks were at least 2" in length and about 1 1/4" wide. Also, it comes with a boq sauce already on it, besides their special sauce. My preference is the pork has no boq sauce on it but it's at the table to add if it's needed. But, gotta say this, HUGE amount of meat, and a tasty bun. Fries were good, but not spectacular or special. Their ketchup has some kick to it, so that was pretty neat. But, my taste buds were almost confused with the special sauce, the bbq sauce and then the ketchup. My wife ordered the Coca-Cola Braised Short Rib Slow-braised short rib + Coca-Cola reduction + Buttery whipped potatoes + Smothered green beans + Crispy tobacco onions. Next time I may order that. I tasted the meat and mashed potatoes, yeh, really yummy!
