We were welcome by a lady and had us seated in the corner near the windows. I was first bothered by the fly flying around near our table. Looking at the menu, the prices were the same as every dim sum place. It wasn't pricey to me. I ordered sticky rice, shrimp dumplings and shumai. Every order was amazing to me. I was just upset that the dim sum cart had only passed us once. I wanted to order more but the waiter were paying more attention to this other table and carrying a conversation. It seemed like they know each other well by the way they spoke. It kinda made me hAngry cause I also wanted shrimp balls, although, i couldn't get the waiter's attention. It took about 45 minutes from when I called to be delivered, this is the time estimate the restaurant gave me too. The food was delicious and we were very pleased. The price was right on with serving sizes, the servings were huge. We got an order of General Tao's chicken, large order of pork fried rice, 12 crispy fried chicken wings, and their special (BBQ beef in a pastry $2). Well worth the $38 spent! read more

Literally everything that we've tried is spectacular - although we especially like the sticky rice in lotus leaf, the shui mai, the garlic green beans and the fried chicken wings. But truly everything is tasty, and worth fighting the crowds - although we now order takeaway and enjoy the dim sum in the comfort and quiet of our own home! I've eaten here a few times. I want to set it to 3.5 stars. Dinner is fantastic and the buns/dumplings come out fresh, hot and soft. My favorite is the Shanghai Dumplings. They are fast and friendly with the service. I'd rank it 4 on dinner. If you plan on going on a Sunday at lunch then prepare to wait. I've had to wait 30 minutes or more to get a table. Late lunch or Early dinner you should be able to get right in but it varies. Lunch is OK but the place was a little chaotic. Even so, I got right in and sat down. They very quickly brought me hot tea, water and utensils. It took a little bit and no additional visits from anyone before the cart finally came around and I grabbed the Shrimp and Cilantro dumplings and pork buns but they didn't have my favorite Shanghai Dumplings so I asked for some. The dumplings I got were a bit chewy from sitting a little bit (not dried out though) but the filling was hot, delicious and made with fresh ingredients. It took a while for the dumplings to come back around. The fried/baked cart came by several times but I wasn't in the mood for those. I got another shrimp dumplings when they finally did come by again because I was still hungry. I didn't have to ask before she told me the Shanghai would be out soon. After about 20 minutes from having initially asked for them, they did come out and were very, very fresh, hot and oh so delicious but I had already eaten so much I couldn't finish them all. Rated 3.5, it would be a solid 4 if the lunch wasn't so chaotic and they had more options on the initial visit with the steam cart. It was fairly pricey at $15 for a single person but to be honest I ate enough almost for two. (4 total items) read more

I get delivery, and that aspect (time-to-deliver, courtesy, is it what I ordered) has been very consistent across quite a lot of orders. I stick with the combo dinner specials. General Tao's Chicken and Szechuan Chicken (which are my personal favorites, ordered regularly) are the best in the south end - or what I like at any rate - and it's not close. I tried all the delivery restaurants down here and really didn't find any place that I preferred over Lucky House for even a single one of the things I like to order. The Hot and Sour soup, the sweet and sour chicken, BBQ pork, crab rangoons, Singapore noodles, even the hot mustard mix. I don't order that much variety, but so far I haven't ordered a dish which didn't compare favorably to any other place in the south end. We read the order word for word per her request, and once I got to my grandparents my Grandma realized they gave us the wrong noodles that we ordered 3 orders of, along with other food ordered. I called to let them know this, and the guy that answered immediately started arguing with me saying I said I wanted something seperate. Then he hung up on me, and when I called back he accused me of hanging up on him when I had five other witnesses hear him on speaker phone! Had one of the most horrible experiences ever in my entire existence. Not to sound dramatic but my experience was dramatic. Im never going back. I saw a table by me get white rice and I thought to myself i wanted white rice now too. I asked my waiter (who was in a rush to take my order and leave) that i wanted white rice for myself. He said they dont serve single servings but if i ordered something called Lotus Flower. I made sure to ask "its white rice?" And the man said yes and walked away. He brought it out, i saw it had beef i think in it and i didnt even try it. I gave it back, said its not what i wanted and the waiter gave me the most embarrassing attitude of life. Outloud in public with the entire restaurant looking he yelled at me and my date saying that i called him a liar! I NEVER called him a liar. All i said was i didnt want it. I didnt even eat it. He was yelling at me saying "WHO IS SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR THIS NOW? ME??" ...thats not my problem. He just left us there unattended and embarrassed and confused as to what we were supposed to do next. The owner of this restaurant I have known since he had a small restaurant, then moved to current location. Every time when I call in order they recognize my voice, and ask me if I want the same order. We have been ordering from here for a very long time. However today 08/09/2018 I was so disappointed of how the owner treated me, I order $106.00 worth of food for my work place and they gave me, no forks, no chopsticks, nothing, so I asked can I have some plates for a work gathering, about 20 plates? The owner told me "Oh that's too much so I have to charge you", so I asked how many can you give? Owner said I can give you 5 or 7 plates, and I asked her, so how much do you charge for 20 plates and she said 5 dollars. I told her and her husband, you guys know me, I've been ordering here for so many years, and you charge me for plates? The owner said Yes, because I have to buy those plates. Angrily I paid for my food and gave them back the 5 plates they gave me, before I walked out. I told them I will never ever come back here again, for personal or work functions.
