    Chicken banh mi
    Angela H.

When I walked in, I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. My friend was already there so I saw her , and sat down. It's a cozy spot , maybe 8 tables, I didn't count. I wasn't greeted when I walked in but folks who came after me were. I had the lemongrass chicken banh mi, it was ok, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't special. My friend had the pho and liked it.

At first, I was a bit surprised to find the restaurant closed at 4 PM, but I later realized they close between lunch and dinner service--a good note for next time. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by their beautiful herb garden. They have an abundance of rosemary, more than enough to last me a year! I ordered the Beef Pho and was very satisfied. While I personally would have preferred a bit more seasoning, the pho was still delicious. The menu mentions the use of grass-fed beef, and I could definitely taste the difference compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. My fiancée ordered the pork noodle salad, and it was incredibly fresh. It seems the herb garden is really paying off in terms of flavor. The service was also exceptional--attentive, professional, and upbeat. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to returning.

I've been a huge fan of BT Nguyen ever since I discovered her in Hyde Park Village many moons ago . She ventured on and our community has continued to be deliciously blessed as she opened up three more establishments in the South Tampa area. Bistro BT's interior is designed with minimalism and has a Zen like feeling. It's small yet comfortable. Service is delivered in a simple efficient manner. She serves up French Vietnamese fare with the freshest organic ingredients. Her flavors pop . One can tell that great care has been put in to all that's done in the kitchen. Today , I ordered the Garden Veggie Salad which is loaded with chopped kale, red and green cabbage, radicchio, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, roasted sun flower seeds, dried cranberries, and BT's special poppy seed and sesame vinaigrette. It's a fave of mine. I ordered my daughter the chicken bahn mi, to-go. Unfortunately , I got home and after tasting the sandwich she did not care for it. She normally enjoys a bahn mi. I tried it and we both found it tasteless. I could not pick up on any flavors. It was not eaten. Thank goodness I had leftovers from my lunch. First time in all these years I've had something from there I didn't care for.

Delicious and fresh Vietnamese food located in south Tampa. The restaurant is surrounded by fresh herbs outside and has a nice earthy intimate vibe inside. Service was great and attentive, you can order from the lunch or dinner menu for dinner. I was looking for something fresh, light and healthy and the Rice Vermicelli Salad "Bun" Bowl was PERFECT! I loved my meal and my fiancé had the pho which was scrumptious too. I can't wait to return.

I've been meaning to come here for a while, and the only regret is that I didn't come sooner. The chicken cabbage salad is elite and so delicious. The customer service was nice. Everyone was friendly and overall the interior of the restaurant is cute. It's small. There's a couple tables. It's pretty cozy.

Our first and won't be our last! So so delicious! The spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps were amazing. The service was so great, all the servers were so nice. The music and ambiance were great, it matched the vibe! Can't wait to come back!

Wanted to check out this place. It's close to airport and plenty of parking. Great ambiance. Food is so so for the price. The whole picture cost us $61. If you what authentic Asian food, it's not a place for you. If you have American taste, you can try. The staff is nice. Quaint little place you could try. Not for us. Staff is friendly and restroom was clean.

if you're looking for food that warns the soul, or familiar items prepared like you have never tried them, Bistro BT is the place to go. I am in love with every item I've ever tried on the menu, but my favorites are the fresh rolls with the shrimp, the bun bowl which is a noodle and lettuce salad, and the pho. The restaurant is intimate and colorful. The outside of the building is lined with fresh herbs and vegetables that are grown then used in the kitchen, and the inside is lined with jarred spices and herbs. What truly makes the experience is the owner, BT. I was first introduced to Bistro BT by a friend because I was feeling under the weather. I came here and enjoyed a cup of hot tea and a steaming bowl of chicken pho with organic chicken broth and plenty of vitamin-filled greens. The part of this experience that sticks with me is that I really liked the chopsticks I was given and ask the server if he knew where they were from so that I could purchase a pair. That is when the owner, BT, overheard me and went to the kitchen to grab me a clean pair of chopsticks which she gifted me. She then stayed at our table to ask about our dining experience. BT is a wonder person with exceptional culinary skills, and I'm the brief moment I shared with her it became evident that the restaurant is a reflection of her. Over the years the quality of food and service have remained the same in the best way possible. If you choose to order Bistro BT through a food delivery service you will not be disappointed, but if you have the opportunity to dine in, take it.

This place is small but it has a really good atmosphere. We went around 5:30 and it was pretty empty, they open at 5. There is parking in front or on the side. The staff was really nice and food came out fast. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. For my main entrée I had pho with beef, both dishes were good. I would like to go back and try other dishes. As others have said before it is on the pricey side.

Bistro BT is such a great spot. Prices are higher than some other Vietnamese restaurants but totally worth it. All of their ingredients are super fresh and all of the dishes are a perfect flavor explosion. I love the Chicken Chili Salad, it is a huge portion and my favorite thing on the menu. Spring rolls and Rice Vermicelli Bun Salad Bowl are both great shareable choices. We have also enjoyed the Pho and Bento boxes. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere and service are wonderful.

Just discovered Bistro BT even though I've lived near it for a while now and I'm so glad I found it! While their items are on the pricier side, they seem well worth it. I got the pork and pate Banh Mi and it was the best Banh Mi I've ever had. The inside is quaint and quiet and I loved the atmosphere. I looked up BT after and found out there was a To Go version (that I had already been too without realizing it was part of BT) and Restaurant BT, which I'm now so excited to try out! Will definitely be back to Bistro though too.

Happened upon this place en route to an appt. so glad we did! We ended up going here for date night. It's very quaint and cozy inside! Everything we got was very tasty. I knew going in that it is not a traditional Asian/Vietnamese restaurant so I knew to manage my expectations. The food was great and the service was just right. They weren't right on top of you but was there if you needed something. The iced ginger tea was so refreshing! My bf said he would just drink their broth the shaken beef was soo goood and flavorful too!

Speaking of PHO: The pho was excellent -- rich, clear broth with plenty of tender beef, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and that perfect balance of savory and brightness. Exactly what you want in a big bowl of pho. The grilled short ribs plate was another standout. Beautifully charred, flavorful meat served with a fried egg, yellow rice, fresh cucumber, tomato, pickled veggies, and a solid dipping sauce. Everything on the plate worked together. If we had known, we would have just ordered actual drinks instead. It is not about the amount of money. It is about transparency and honesty with customers. As for the food, it was overpriced and lacked flavor. I ordered their special Vietnamese udon (bánh canh đặc biệt), but they had the audacity to serve me Japanese udon. That is not bánh canh. Vietnamese bánh canh and Japanese udon are completely different in taste, texture, and preparation, so this was especially disappointing and felt disrespectful to a traditional Vietnamese dish. We also tried their "most popular" dish, mackerel snd fish cake noodle soup (bún cá thu chả cá), and unfortunately, it was completely bland and lacked flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this place. Between the disappointing, overpriced food and the lack of transparency regarding the charges, the experience left a very bad impression.

I live in Miami where there isn't much Vietnamese food but my parents moved to Pinellas Park only a few minutes away from this restaurant so I was super excited to visit and go with them! Vietnamese buffets are not a common business model, and from other types of buffets you know that sometimes the quality can suffer, but Quan Ngon strikes a great balance between quality but also diverse options from many subtypes of Vietnamese cuisine. I won't be able to go into everything I tried (that would be a novel) but I will hit some of the highlights: - Grilled pork with broken rice: pork was marinated well, savory and sweet with a nice chargrilled taste, great with the rice + eggs + scallion oil or even by itself - Curry chicken: tastes very similar to how I remember my family does it, light but a bit creamy and with tender chicken and potatoes - Braised clay pot fish (but it's buffet style so served in a warming tray): savory, a bit sweet, tender fish that goes well with rice to soak up all the sauce - Fish sauce wings: not a super traditional dish but it's popping up all over modern Vietnamese restaurants now, slightly crisp outside juicy inside with a delicious savory sweet just salty enough glaze - Dessert (Che) bar: I'm not a huge fan of Vietnamese desserts, but I have to admit their row of Vietnamese desserts are well cooked, and sweet but not too sweet (also approved by my Vietnamese parents so you know it's legit!) For the price, the Quan Ngon Bistro buffet is more than worth it; for not too much above the price of a single entree at most other restaurants, you get to try a generous array of well made dishes.
