    Chicken Sandwich

I usually eat in but did pickup today. I've had the chicken many times but never in a sandwich. The portion was quite large in comparison to say McDonalds. It wasn't dried out or tough. The seasoning was borderline salty. I feel like it should come with fries for $16. I prefer the crispy chicken sandwich at Red Robin.

Idk man... every time we go I like this place a little less. It seems like the quality is increasingly WORSE and prices are HIGHER. The place is also kinda run down, which can be OK, if... IF its super cheap and delish. But this place ain't. I'm down for the local nostalgia vibe, but somewhere along the way, the food just started to suck and I just don't get it. Hard pass for me unless other People are paying or its just for milkshakes. They do make a mean milkshake.

    Fried pickles

February 2025. We didn't go in but picked it up. Had to call in the order since we wanted fried pickles and they weren't on the online ordering menu. We got the five piece fried chicken with fries and a cornbread muffin, and an order of fried pickles. It was $20 and the fried pickles were $13 I think. The chicken was pretty good, not too greasy. The wing piece had barely any meat on it but the others were good. They added fried pickles to the menu and cheese curds so I wanted to try the pickles at least. They were spears and they were fine, nothing crazy. The batter could have been more crispy.

We were in Anchorage for 36 hours and we were told we had to check this place out for "excellent" fried chicken! It was rainy and chilly outside, but the atmosphere inside was rather pleasant. We were seated immediately and had our order taken. The food arrived quickly and was hot. We tried a chicken salad sandwich, onion rings, and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The chicken salad was good. Not too mayo-y and didn't make the bread soggy. The onion rings had a decent crunch, but you have to pay extra for ranch, so that's kind of meh. The potatoes and gravy didn't have flavor. I had to add salt. The chicken had a good initial crunch, and it was juicy, but lacked seasonings and needed salt as well. We did not try the milkshake because we were already chilled, but they did look yummy. I would definitely give them a second try, maybe it was an off day for the salt fairy.

Walked into the restaurant and the place was pretty empty, compared to all the years we have gone here when The Browns owned it. We stood at the sign that says wait to be seated and wait we did. The only time I have had to wait in the past when the employee was cleaning table for us to sit down. After we were seated one of the young girls gave us silverware and water. Again we waited until our server "Ashley" came to help us. We ordered a Butterscotch Milkshake, Gizzards and a Jumbo cheese. In the past the milkshake would have been brought to us within 5 minutes. Once we got the shake we noticed it was awfully dark after tasting it, it was chocolate. Got the waitress and she apologized and said I thought you said chocolate. She took the shake away and brought us the correct one within minutes. Once again we waited and waited for our food. In the past we would have our food within minutes. I will say the food was steaming hot and good however I think you have to take out a small loan to eat here. The prices have gone extremely high. I know every place has increased prices but our lunch for two came to $41 and the service wasn't great. If you decide to eat here go to Costco and buy their gift cards for $80 for a value of $100 that's the only way I'll eat here.

This establishment has been around possibly as long as I've been alive, and for good reason. It's the In N Out of fried chicken! It's very " dineresque" so old school, so cool. When I'm in Anchorage I try to find a reason to indulge in fresh honey dipped fried chicken and fresh made onion rings. Hanging out at Barnes and Nobel with the grand kids was only rivaled by a finale at "The Bone" the kids got to order chocolate root beer floats, chicken, fries, onion rings.... But trust me, it was really all about me Heaven !!!

Average fried chicken. It was light of the seasoning but terrific on the fry. Unique dinner decor made me think of the old tv show "Alice". Friendly staff and timely service. Fries and corn fritters were good, corn bread was sweet and more care like than this southern cares for personally. Not bad, but not on my short list to go back either.

Went to Lucky Wishbone for Mother's Day and it was the best choice ever. My husband got the jumbo cheese and I got the mom. Absolutely loved them both - it took a minute for it to come out - but note the food is all made fresh and not frozen so I can appreciate it. I also got their strawberry lemonade which was a great pairing with the chicken. The coleslaw took me for a whirl because it's made with pineapple! I don't think I've had anything like that before, but totally yummy if you're a coleslaw lover. The restaurant is warm and filled with Alaska's history. Overall a really wonderful place to eat with family and friends.

Good food, bad service, very slow drive thru. You see ladies who are just chatting with some people while you haven't been serve yet.

After perusing the few tables that had people eating burgers, decided to go with the wrap option, not wanting a loaf of bread surrounding my burger! Got the keto wrap, it had bacon and an egg, they must be pushing it or it's new, since it was cheaper than the wrap without all the extra protein. Either that or common sense took a vacation from the cold in Anchorage. Cashier was very helpful despite my clown like behavior. KETO Burger!!! Very pleasing to the eye, wrapped in a generous amount of crunchy iceberg, boom, could have used more sauce, but I'm a sauce kind of clown, plenty to get from the condiment bar. Nice crunchy bacon, boom, she said mustard was absent had to get my own. Over all not bad, certainly not the best in Anchorage like a previous reviewer, that was obviously may or may not be connected to the restaurant .... Hmm what am I some kind of a clown? A few tips to improve the burger, add on the tomato pickles and onions. Also burn a brand into the lettuce like the buns, would be way cool. And don't be afraid to sauce it up, some of us Keto types need a lot of taste to combat the boring taste of iceberg. Take heed, the clown has spoken,

They've got a solid variety of Alaska brews on tap, way more than your average spot, so it's easy to try something new or stick with a favorite. It features a blend of barstool window seats, barstool bar seats, high-top tables, and standard-height tables. We went for a very late lunch, which made the quick food delivery and yet under-attentive service a little perplexing. Having spent last summer in London, the attraction at TCT for us was comparing and contrasting Alaska Halibut Fish & Chips with the British fare. I wanted to like the Tent City offering; I really did not. For the price ($28/ea), we got three modest pieces of fish and the equivalent of two servings of chips. Both the fish and the chips were mushy (undercooked), with a heavy batter finish in contrast with the light and crisp British offering. The accompanying tarter sauce was an odd raspberry-and-blackberry concoction that my family and I called a pickle aftertaste. The presentation, for the price and the atmosphere, was a confusing combination of a metal basket lined with wax paper (like a 1950's drive-through), plastic water and soda glasses (like a college cafeteria), and real silverware. Other reviews have high praise for TCT so, on our next visit to Alaska, it will be good to give them another try. The bones of this establishment are in place for a really special experience, but, today, for me, it was just "ok."
