We have driven by one of the Lucky Wishbone locations for years since moving here in 2005 but never gone in... until today! I love chicken fingers, so why not. It appeared they had redone the interior, it was nice and clean and had a Tucson OG vibe to it. I ordered a 2 piece chicken finger meal and my hubby did the 6 piece shrimp. I loved the little box they serve the meals in. Fries were okay, chicken fingers were good and the Texas toast was decent. My husband said he liked the chicken fingers better than the shrimp (he was grazing on my box) Bottom line, it is fried food so do not come here if you are seeking healthy. Staff was very friendly and nice. Location is near a bus stop - I call that out as there were a few homeless doing the drug dance which was annoying given the big windows/views here.

When you just need something fried , this is tops. The smallest Chicken liver lunch box with fries, cocktail dipping sauce, jalapeno peppers and a Texas toast and a Coke. Under ten bucks. Nice stop on the way home. Plenty of parking, very safe area. Been on this corner for Decades.

I'm in Tucson, Arizona at Lucky wishbone they've been around for decades. I haven't eaten here in a few years. I ordered liver and gizzards the garlic toast with some steak fingers. The steak fingers are amazing. Customer service is very friendly when you walk through the door they're ready to serve you. It's always extremely clean here you can dine in or take to go Steak. Fingers are really good. The ambience is laid-back easy-going

Used to be good...now it seems like the employees are miserable and is shows in the food. Ordered a pop gizzard and this is what I got.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - absolutely delicious food for the mains but the sides were not that impressive POP (8 piece) Gizzard with Onion Rings, Garlic Toast, and 2 sauces. The gizzards were fried well but didn't have much flavor other than the batter. The onion rings were nicely fried but not much flavor either so needed ketchup or sauce to help it along. The garlic toast was very oily/greasy especially as you get closer to the center. The lucky wishbone sauce tasted of cocktail sauce with some more horseradish 7 piece Dark Special with a mix of legs and thighs. The fry on these chicken was amazing with such a crunch on the outside but the inside was deliciously moist. The batter is on the saltier side but still so good Ambience: 4/5 - older restaurant that smelled slightly of disinfectant and not at all of the food. Pictures that showed its history and lots of sport posters. The windows are slight scratched and some tiles had holes. The tables and chairs were clean but it felt a bit dusty overall Service: 5/5 - friendly but couldn't give much details or recommendations for the menu. About 15 minute wait for our food Value for price: 5/5 - delicious food overall but the pricing is a bit odd... for example, it would have been cheaper to get a Jr Gizzard with 4 a la carte pieces (7 + 3.8 = 10.8) rather than the POP Gizzard (11.50)

We simply stopped here for the fact that this location sells or should I say serves gizzards and liver. The group and I that visited here we ordered some of everything from their menu and I must say that from the moment we walked in from when we placed our orders and picked up our food from the counter it was a good visit. The associates they are polite and well mannered. At this location you place your order but you do not pay for your order until it is ready. The shrimp combo meal is good they're fried gizzards are also really good they are battered fried but still very tender and flavorful. They also have some desserts that you can choose from as well. If you're looking for a little something different like the gizzards or liver give this place a try

    Hair, plus shrimp

I love livers and gizzards... this place shouldn't even try. Livers were "fishy" not fresh. Gizzards, weren't that bad, but not great. Shrimp... were shrimp, low tier. Same thing with the onion rings, low tier. Garlic toast. Please stop. Bread with garlic powder. Extremely disappointed. I really wanted to like this place, but won't be back.

The best Italian food in Tucson IMHO. No one does a better mussels marinara or grilled whole Bronzino than Lucky Wishbone!

We asked if they could bring it over next door to the Broadway, and they happily said yes , plus, they gave us a 10% discount! Great service, tasty sandwiches, and such a nice experience overall.

However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!

Our server was genuinely kind and attentive--the definition of great customer service. I ordered the hotdog and wanted the bun toasted on the grill. Bun came steamed even tho I emphasized wanted it grilled on the open side. Hotdog also came barely warm. It was not a pleasant experience. I did not eat it. I also ordered truffle fries, which were bland and had zero flavor. Everything needed salt. The truffle mayo tasted like mayo. A little truffle and no garlic. Mostly mayo flavor tho. My friends enjoyed their food. I tasted and thought it was okay. Service was interesting. Our waitress was having a bad day and it was obvious.

This was our first visit to Transplant but it won't be our last. You order at the counter and they bring everything to your table. There is a soda fountain, so you can refill at your leisure. I'm not a huge fan of Pepsi products but they also had 3 flavors of Stubborn Soda which is fantastic. The atmosphere was modern and clean but I will say that having a couple plus size people in our party, the chairs weren't very comfortable. There was a bar area on the other side but I didn't notice if the chairs were the same. With a party of nine all arriving at different times and ordering apps and pizza at different times, we kept the food flowing. For apps, the fried pickles were amazing, as well as the parmesan fries. They do not skimp on the fresh Parm which is a huge plus in my book. There are four in our immediate family, so we ordered three 8x10's. We definitely would have been fine with three pizzas but since it was our first time, we wanted to try a third flavor. We ordered a supreme, an elote and a sweet & spicy. After one piece of the sweet and spicy, I decided my second and final piece would be the same because it was utterly amazing. It also had many ingredients we use and love at home in our wood-fired pizza oven, like San Marzano tomatoes and Mike's hot honey. I tasted the elote pizza and thought it rather bland. I've had elote pizza at a downtown establishment and theirs was far more flavorful. I didn't sample the supreme but my hub liked it. We loved the crust on the pizzas too! All in all, we were happy with our food and the atmosphere. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back for more!
