Little hole in the wall with great service, delicious food, and huge proportions! Stumbled across Lucky Wok when I was looking for some Chinese food in the IE. I decided to give this place a try and ordered some take out for my boyfriend and I. Definitely far better than Panda Express and the proportions are what really surprised me. I got the combo B plate that lets you pick two items and pair it with your base. I ordered the chow mein noodles with mushroom chicken & orange chicken. Firstly the noodles were just perfect. I loved the authentic taste and that the noodles weren't too greasy like most Chinese restaurants. This one plate is easily 2/3 meals for me and it was only $5.99. Definitely a steal and I'm definitely going to be back. Another bonus is that the service here is great! Friendly faces that all have great attitudes. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, and it came as room temperature crunchy fried chicken nuggets in a little bag, with watered down sweet and sour sauce in a tiny little "ketchup or salsa plastic cup with lid, like they have at El Pollo Loco. And NO pineapple or onion . It was the most bizarre way I had ever got sweet and sour chicken. I ordered four to go meals with each order including this chicken and I was so disappointed and embarrassed to give to my very hard working floor installers for their lunch. I see a lot of reviewers complaining about the quality of the food which is ridiculous. You're paying less than $6 for like 2lbs of food... You get what you pay for. Who expects restaurant quality food from a fast food Chinese spot in a strip mall? Drive to LA and go to Yang Chow if you want high quality Chinese food. I found this place on Yelp and decided to go on the recommendations particularly for the vegetarian options. This little place did not disappoint! I had Spicy Orange Tofu. So good. One order is quite large and with left overs the next day I certainly enjoyed it. I am not 100% sure if there are true Vegan options. However for someone like me who teeters between Vegetarian and Vegan I was so happy to find to find a place that ordering tofu in a variety of ways was an option.
