I have been going to this place for the past 9 years and here are my reasons why I'll come back for the next 99. Anytime I ask for the char siu pork and I see if they have a few pieces out, I'll always ask for the crispy edges. Every other place I've been to has always given me a small amount, but this place has never done that. Their glass noodles! There are small bits of chicken in there for flavoring and again, no other place does that. If you order online, I don't think they have it as an option, cause they don't make it everyday, but I highly recommend going in and seeing if they have it, tip em more for that chicken. Their Ruby chicken! Still crispier and that small amount of heat make this dish great. Every other place serves orange chicken, so if you see it there WHEN YOU WALK IN, get it! They also have Thai tea in the refrigerator, very few places in Riverside even sell that. Anytime I felt like I was getting a cold or my throat was just irritated by something, I will always go there for their soups. They have about 4 different kinds and I'd pick a different one each day. By the time I got to the 4th day, my sickness was always healed but I'd just go there for good measure. Their shrimp fried rice is also amazing, but give 'em time yeah? Best Chinese fast food restaurant in Riverside that I know of and, we eat a lot of Chinese fast food. The restaurant is always clean to. If you haven't tried the Lucky Wok and you are in a hurry to just grab some really good Chinese food you need to go here. I promise you won't be disappointed. The people are very friendly as well. Moving to a new city can bring many joys, and worries. One major worry was finding a new go to Chinese fast food spot. Everyone has their favorite and definition of what makes Chinese fast food great. Moving from Hacienda Heights sets the bar pretty high. Thank goodness for the Riverside yelp community in helping me find Lucky Wok! I can safely say, for now, they are my new go to spot. Restaurant store - easy access and parking right off of Van Buren. Extremely clean and good amount of seating. Food - I trusted fellow yelpers and ordered combo B - Ruby's chicken and jalapeño chicken with half and half. First of all, the servings are gargantuan! One combo B can easily feed two or even three people. Unless you have a really hungry bf that shovels it in (mine). The food was just right. The Ruby's chicken was crunchy and tangy with a small spicy bite. The jalapeño chicken was also good but I prefer Ruby's. It's like orange chicken with a bite. The chow mein and fried rice were pretty darn good. They are doing it right here and the lines and diners prove it. Customer service - um, a little slow and not super cheery but who cares. It's great hangover food! The one thing I would say is I asked for sweet and sour 3 times and the lady kept saying "yeah yeah" but it was not in my bag when I got home. The food is good when they have it. I've been here 3 times already because they never have what I want to eat. They always run out of everything. So unless you want rice, noodles and orange chicken you might want to re think coming here. That's all they seem to have. To top it off the young girl gave me attitude when I asked her about the bbq pork she said 20 minutes and I said ok and she threw the noodles from the to go tray back into the chowmein with an attitude. Food was ok... Their chow mein is good. I tried the regular Orange chicken, spicy orange chicken and teriyaki. I would have enjoyed it more if they did better with cutting the chicken. The food here is so good and they're pretty authentic. They give you so much food. When it gets close to closing time, they don't keep remaking certain sides so you're options are limited.
