Lucky' is a family run pizza place. The service was excellent, the pizza good and prices fair. We had the deep dish Lucky's Special. We found it to be too much dough for our taste but it was good and we will go back to try the regular pizza. They have many specials with pizza, wings and beer combos. Tried an X-Large pepperoni last night. The pizza was good. It wasn't anything incredible but I would have no problem ordering from here again. The pizza was also done exactly when it was supposed to be and the people working the counter (family?) were very nice. My wife and I visited Lucky's the second week of April 2019. We always try to visit mom and pop pizza places when we travel. After reading the reviews we gave it a shot. I won't say it was the best pizza we have ever had - only because everyone has their own idea of the "perfect pie". I think people sometimes skew their reviews based upon their perfect pizza instead of judging a style of pizza for what it's supposed to be, which in my opinion isn't fair. They serve NY style pizza and after eating at numerous pizzerias in NY, I can safely say that this is the "best" NY pizza I have ever had. The crust had good flavor and crunch. The sauce was perfectly NY, plenty of cheese and the sausage was very good. From what I understand they make their own sausage or have it made for them and cook it on the premises. Many tables around us got wings and from watching them being prepared as well as the smell, I have no reason to believe they weren't outstanding. They are located in a strip mall and the dining room isn't very big but adequate. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. They obviously have a lot of regular customers because they recognized we weren't regulars and made sure to make us feel right at home. When we are back in the area, we will definitely be going back. read more

I ordered a medium veggie pizza. The bread was as hard as cardboard half way to the edge and soft, sloppy and doughy in the middle. The veggies included tons of onions, black olives and green bell peppers that were freshly cut and piled on towards the middle with a hint of mushrooms. The pizza was not fresh. Looked and tasted like it was sitting out for awhile then they put fresh toppings and re-heated it. The wings were decent. We also ordered a large pepperoni which I didn't taste. The wings were good. When I got home with the pizza, the top had slid halfway off the crust into the box. I didn't tilt it, simply placed it on the back seat.The pepperoni was still cold. I took one bite and threw it away. Will never go back!!!! read more

After our first visit this week, I think we've found our newest favorite pizza place! We've lived in our house for about 15 years and eat pizza 2-4 times a month. We had never heard of this place. We were in the mood for some 'za and decided to look online for something different from our usual haunts. A Yahoo search turned up this place just to the edge of the map. The attached Yahoo reviews looked promising and a quick look at Yelp sealed the deal. We decided to give it a shot. I'm ecstatic! Delicious. I grew up in Anchor Bar wings and I have to say I was impressed. My standard order is 2 dozen wings and 2 slices of mushroom pizza. Their pizza is NY style thin crust brick oven cooked and it sometimes gets spots that are charred but I don't mind. Always tasty. My favorite part of the restaurant is the staff. Since this is a small business I tip very generously and they always say thank you but it sounds genuine. Like they really mean it!!! It makes me feel good that I'm giving back a little of the pleasure they gave me by getting great food. It's one of the handful of places I order from since March. read more

I really like their pizzas but it bothered me that when I came in nobody was wearing a mask except for me. One of the guys ran back to go get his but they were not wearing masks. One of the other guys looked at me and continued to make pizzas and he was sweating profusely. Kind of gross. This unassuming neighborhood Italian restaurant provides fresh fantastic standards with delivery. My favorite the Chicken Parmesan is one of the best. After retiring out here from New Jersey it was a challenge to find pizza that we liked. We stumbled onto a Lucky's Pizza menu at the post office, went over for a lunch special and fell in love. I love the fact that it is family run and even the children are experiencing the family business. The pizza was very good. Great sauce, cheese and sauce. Some thin crust pizzas are a little too thin for my taste but this one was thick enough to hold all the toppings. We absolutely love this location. Hands down the best pizza and wings on our side of town. They can be pricey but you get what you pay for. The sauce for the wings is so good we dip our crust in it.
