I had heard this place was a nice, small, family-owned establishment and wanted to give it a try. When I went to order, Grubhub somehow took over the order and offered me coupon code to sign up with them. Well, Grubhub messed up and sent me an invalid code. I spoke with the owner about wanting to try a meal and she was more than accomodating in offering to cover the discount that GrubHub failed to honor. She made everything good, and I appreciate her efforts to honor what is advertised even though it wasn't Lucky's fault. This is a wonderful family owned restaurant. I have lived across the street from this place for 8 years and have eaten there pretty regularly...until my mom passed away as it was her fave pizza place in town, we took a brief hiatus from eating out after her passing. With that being said I called to order one of the stuffed crust pizzas that we all love for dinner on 8/19/21. When I placed the order I was unaware that they no longer made this particular pizza. So, when the driver arrived with what I thought was my pizza, we thought we had gotten the wrong pizza and I sent it back and called them back at that point they informed that they no longer made that style....to say the least I was really bummed out because this unfortunately would be the last time that we could enjoy their amazing food....we are moving out of state. However, when the delivery driver returned with what we thought was the original pizza that I sent back there happened to be an extra pizza on top. The driver said to me that the bottom pizza was specially made just for my family...I told him there was no need to bring the extra pizza that I understood it was just a mix up on both sides and that we appreciate what they did for us. So I went back inside to open up my delicious hot pie...and to my surprise...the owners actually made me one last stuffed crust pie!! It was the best surprise for a trying time. The name should by Lucky's. Leave out the pizza part. Using imitation cheese and canned tomato sauce doesn't qualify it as pizza. The bread, no not dough, sucks out any remaining flavor out of the dish. It's soggy and miserable. Absolute pizza lover here! Came here as a spur of the moment with my boyfriend last week. We LOVE pizza and are always trying to try new places to become our new "usuals". Lucky's is now on our list! The family owned eatery had amazing, kind, and fast service. The pizza itself was delicious; the sauce AMAZING; the ranch dressing (an important aspect) AMAZING. The breadsticks were by far some of my most favorite thus far. Amazing New York pizza right here in little ol' Peoria Arizona. Really good pizza and wings! Great combo deals too. The pizza had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese, normally I feel places don't add enough sauce and once the pizza cools it becomes just rubbery cheese on the crust, but not this place! You can also order wings in just flats, my favorite!! They were a little soggy, but my food was ready when I got there so if you get them fresh, I'm sure they're bomb. read more

HONEST FIRST TIME EXP.. I went in to grab a daily special for my family and I, which comes with an XL pizza and 20 wings. As we sit down and start eating the pizza, it looks perfectly fine but as I ate my second slice I noticed a small hair so I stopped eating (that slice) and moved on to another as I ate, AGAIN a hair I find inside of the dough and cheese. So I pulled it and long piece of hair was stuck to it, so I went back to my first slice I found a hair in, tugged on it and it came out same size length as the other 2nd strand of hair, so I finally made the decision to call them to see we can do about it because I could not keep eating the food. They started answering rude when I began explaining what I found in the pizza basically telling me I was lying to bring it in and they'll make the choice wether or not to give us a free pizza.... I come in to handle the situation and he's already acting rude from his first few words saying we're the only ones that have made a complain in the last 28 years or so, but anyways I started explaining and trying to show him exactly what we found and he's still trying to deny any hair being in there after I've showed him a video and in person in front of his face saying there was no possible way if there was no one touching the pizza with long hair. So he rudely gave us a free pizza but no wings which we originally had gotten. We get home thinking the pizza we just got for free because of a mistake will be much better and well made, come to find out first slice I take a bite of SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN another hair, same size and description. So I immediately call and tell him about it and he tells me there's no way if we just seen he had short hair and he's the one making the pizza. I tried just getting a refund for my money but he said he couldn't do that he'd give a free pizza next time. I returned all the food I got from them as the owner asked basically all the wings and most the pizza. And We still ended not be able to eat their pizza. I've been going to Lucky's for 10 years! I've never really been a fan of those pizza "chain" restaurants; I prefer the local neighborhood type of places. And Lucky's has that local kind of appeal!! Pizza.....wings......sandwiches.....it's got that personalized, unique touch. They've got some really cool guys that run the place. And when it comes to pizza.....wow!! I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza here. The buffalo chicken pizza was one of the best that I've ever had. The ratio of everything complemented the pizza very well. The pepperoni pizza tastes like most put was very good also. The only criticism would be how soggy the crust is. I don't expect every pizza to be like dominos thin crust where you pick it up and the pizza stands straight out, but I also don't want to pick a pizza up and all my topping slip off the pizza and fall in the box either. Being that it was an XL pizza the weight of it may have made it worse, but it's definitely a pizza you have to use both hands for. It isn't my first choice for pizza, mostly due to convince, but it's the only place I will go to for buffalo chicken pizza. It's definitely feels more like comfort food than junk food like most pizza chains. read more

Sure, I was the only customer there at 9pm, (the place is open till 11, a plus in my book) but I was greeted promptly with a smiling young guy with an east coast accent (another plus for a pizza place. Ordered via Yelp. Was easy to order menu was easy to understand. After placing and paying for the order I called in to verify they received the order. They read the order back to me and everything was correct. I arrived to pick it up after 20 minutes and ended up waiting a few minutes as it wasn't ready (no big deal, I like fresh pizza) I should've checked the pizza before I left as it was incorrect. My wife is a vegetarian and half the pizza should've been only cheese but we ended up with an extra large meat pizza and my wife ended up skipping dinner. The wings were great, a little small, but taste wise they were excellent. The pizza was soggy which was weird because the crust was very crunchy and good. For being an extra large 20$ pizza it was also a little short on cheese. All in all this place is okay but overpriced. With as many pizza options as there are I, personally, will not be returning. They then told him it would take another half hour to make our order he left and we ordered elsewhere. The food is sooo good, but the owner is absolutely amazing! I think he forgot to lock the door 30 minutes after "closing time." My partner poked her head in anyway, asking if they were still open. They weren't and she was cool with that. The owner was so nice and accommodating, he said he would make her a fresh pizza anyway! Come on! That is the best service ever! Place is okay. The only reason for 3 star is the price and the grease on their pizzas is a lil norm but the flavor is awesome.... We havent found breadsticks we like there so we normally get wings, pizza and salad. They r a little higher priced than say peter piper, but they deliver! The wing sauce will eat thru the foil tray they deliver in within a couple days so dont leave it sit in your fridge too long! Delivery guys r always nice and pleasant. When you walk in it is a little dark, a little beat up, but DO NOT let that turn you away. The service is AMAZING, staff is super friendly and accommodating, prices are right on point, the wings are crispy but still juicy, and the pizza...THE PIZZA...man lite but filling and doesn't leave you feeling bogged down.
