Being the assistant manager of the kitchen i'm going to be bold and say we cook our food unlike most other bars in vancouver. We make the meat for taco Tuesday the day before we serve it. We hand make our patties from scratch as well as the chicken strips and steaks bites from the cut of meat it starts as. Love is in everything we do. The front of the house are phenomenal mixologists who provide an atmosphere that is second to none if you want a relaxing place to have a drink. This place has had several names over the years and in my opinion "Lucky's" and the new management team have my vote for best job so far. Rob (or Bob) and his wife (significant other?) have done a great job. Taco Tuesday is amazing. I'm a Taco junkie have have my spots for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.....Lucky's is my Tuesday spot! Friendly and attentive staff, 4 or 5 pool tables, Golden Tee, Big Buck, great sized dance floor with line dancing lessons! Crowd is a good mix of 20's, 30's and 40's. I would never recommend this bar to my worst enemies. They are not only rude but they will take your drinks half drank and not replace them. Hmm... I can't seem to agree with the other reviewers comments about this place, let alone their validity of their profiles. Beyond that- if you get kicked out of this place its probably because you are being a drunk asshole or smoking weed in the smoking area or parking lot. The owners of this place (honestly I forgot their names :-/ ) are usually found bartending (which is freakin awesome)- very personable, awesome at making drinks, remembering who you are, and making you feel comfortable at this bar. Honestly, I didn't know the two dope bartenders were the husband and wife owners up until about a month ago. There is Golden Tee, Pinball, Darts, Pool, Corn Hole, Ping Pong, and Big Buck. Also, there is a smoking section out back where you can take your drinks and smoke (cigarettes only obviously) and meet people- I've met a lot of cool people here, everyone seems chill- patrons, bartenders, owners, AND bouncers. Also, food is freakin epic. Try the chicken strips- Effin BOMB, like this is the delicious HULK version of chicken strips, not that frozen microwave ish. Taco Tuesday's- I'm not gonna lie, was expecting some cheap ass typical taco Tuesday taco- nope, actually some of the best tacos I've had in a long time (not authentic Mexican tacos but chicken, sauce, and everything was soooo good). The BBQ sliders are also extremely ridiculously delicious. They seem to have some type of line dancing lessons and dancing that happens- honestly I've never been drunk enough to go out on a whim and try it, but I've been tempted. They also have karaoke. Can't remember the nights of these occurrences but it's been going down the many times I've been there. I live in Battle Ground and my fiancé and I always make an effort to visit this place at least twice a week. Hand cut fries , I've had both the sweet potato and rosemary and I cannot decide on which ones I like the best if you hit the place during happy hour you might as well get a batch of both f.k.t (fat kid tip) I ordered the hot wings which you can get wet or dry butt I didn't care if they were wet or dry I just wanted something extra spicy because I'm really cool like that...lol the gal said she would personally make sure they were hot enough for me and they were perfect I think they are called raveena style wings they're not on the menu and don't quote me on that. I also took a bite of somebody's mac and cheese and that is definitely on my next time I'm here list. So my advice to you is to ditch your damn kids come have a cold one and fill your belly... Took my wife, daughter and her boyfriend to check it out. We arrived relatively early in the evening, just before 9pm. From the moment we walked in, we were given the 'stinkeye' by most of the regulars. Felt awkward and very unwelcome. Wasn't like we were dressed like a bunch of hipsters or anything, as we were wearing casual clothes (jeans and t-shirts) and I was wearing my Iraq War vet hat. Sat for 10 minutes, but not once did anyone even bother come by to see if we needed anything. My wife and I made out way to the bar to order drinks, and when we finally managed to get one of the bartenders' attention, she treated us like outsiders. No personality, no smile, and when we ordered our drinks, she looked at us like we had a third head growing out of our necks! The tap beer was flat and watered down and the mixed drinks were so-so. She didn't even bother asking if there was anything else we wanted, like a food menu. And when we asked, she blew us off and went to help one of the regulars. I guess it doesn't pay to be a new paying customer! The only redeemable quality of this place was that they played the national anthem early in the evening, before the regular activities took place, and everyone reverently stood at attention, hands over their hearts, and sang along. After that, we sat there for over twenty minutes, and NOT ONCE, did a waitress ever bother to come check on us and see if we needed anything, or even deem to make us feel welcome. Especially since we were only six feet from the bar! Despite hearing all the good things about this place, they sure as hell didn't make this combat-wounded vet and his family feel very welcome at all! Sorry, but unless you improve your service, I'm gonna have to recommend to my fellow vets not to patronize this establishment. I'll especially let my fellow Veterans of Foreign Wars members not to come here. Truly a shame, as I really wanted to give this place a chance, and our experience was terrible! we came to Vancouver for a pickleball tournament and dropped in at Lucky's for a drink. the bartender was very hospitable and told us to come back at 7 as they had line dancing. we did go back, had a blast and whem ready to leave to get a taxi, this same gal with the awesome hat called us an uber. The bartender was great, but the person picking up the glasses and garbage claiming to be the owner was no less the an unspeakable term. Have had a great time tonight but the coffee is a 1 cup dispenser that the bar tender has to serve it would be best if they made a pot of mud and made it self service with a suggested donation slot. So.. somehow my old review was thrown out on this place. Still, I am going to rewrite one as this place deserves the single star or less. I ordered some food to go on a special night, the wait was exceedingly longer than told over the phone, something like 45 minutes I sat at the bar waiting for food. The woman who was bartending was friendly enough, however the owner/manager was a total asshole. Told me several times that I had to order a drink to sit at the bar, problem being that I don't really drink, at least not often. Also he was harrassing me about this as though I hadn't patronized the place, I had already paid for the takeout food I was waiting for which totaled over 120$, which I explained to him. I saw people arrive order food and drinks and recieve said food and drinks, when I asked him about this he said it was because they ordered there. He also told me since I wasn't drinking he really didn't want to make the food to go, that became a sticking point where I lost a minor bit of civility with him and explained that if it wasn't for the food they serve, I would not have patronized him at all. As I walked out with my food over an hour after I had placed my order, I told him I definitely will not be back handed the nice bartender a tip and flipped him the bird. I live well within walking distance and do order takeout. Second point, when I brought the food home it was not good. Over salted, small portions and falling apart due to sloppy contruction. I am a chef, I know what good food is, this was not it. Hoping this location fails again so we can get someone new in who understands a good customer and makes strides to welcome them. read more

I would give 0 stars if Yelp would let me. This is the worst bar I have ever been to, and that is a well defended title. Service was awful. Security cut our friend off and pulled him out of our group. I followed him to tell him we were leaving but we're waiting on our tabs (which took 20 mins to get) and the bouncer shoved me. I asked for a manager and was told they don't have one. I walked outside complaining and was followed into the parking lot by another security member who aggressively asked if I had a problem. I told him I did in fact have a problem. He informed me that it is state law that security had the right to physically assault their customers without cause. We also had 2 different people using debt cards not only where we each charged $1.50 to use our debt card but the bartenders took it upon themselves to add several drinks we never ordered, or received resulting in a huge overpayment from two different debt cards. Luckys Roadhouse? What makes it as Roadhouse? This is the WORST Club We've ever been in. But the band was by far one of the best in the area. Gary Bennett and the Coattail Riders played classic country music that was very danceable. We waited forever between drinks for a bartender to come by. The food was cold and greasy and the music that the DJ was playing in between the band's sets was obnoxious. If that's what they call new country no wonder so many bars are going out of business. Not only will we NOT be coming back, We will be letting all our 1100 + Facebook friends know about our experience. read more

I'm from out of town and come to Vancouver every other weekend. First time I came to Lucky's was amazing. Met the owners and had wonderful drinks and time with my friend. Then on 1/19/18 Not only that is a Friday night. I came in town to visit and at 1:25 am went to go have a drink real quick and didn't even make it out of the car and the bouncer said "we already said last call...sorry. Have a nice night". Seriously?? I'm from Oregon but know that Washingtons last call is 2 am. All we wanted was to play a quick game of pool and a drink and we go shooed away when it wasn't even time to start kicking people out. read more
