The food is excellent! I suggest the Maryland Chicken or the Fillet Minion. The salads are fresh and nice and cold. Soup is great also. I recommend the Cheddar Potato soup. Went here with the family and arrived when they opened at noon. We were seated at a booth that had a dirty table. The silverware was wrapped in linen napkins and found two out of four sets had dirty silverware. Should have known better but the restaurant quickly filled up so we stayed to try the food. My wife ordered the salmon with broccoli and sons had a burger and a the fish sandwich. We were started with two large loaves of seasoned warm bread and butter. When the food came my wife's salmon was great. Nicely presented and not overdone. The fish sandwich was two large pieces of fish served on a toasted roll. Worst meal ever. They made my wifes mussels wrong. Which were her meal...then re made them wrong again we will never be back! The waitress argued with my wife about the mussels. She told her the butter was hard because it was a lemon butter...we just had them 2 weeks ago and they were competely different. They also forgot to put any tomato with then. The waitress had the nerve to tell us that she thought they were wrong but she didnt want to argue with the cook. I've had four meals at Lucky's while temporarily working in the Clio area. I had steaks, a hamburger and a salad. Each meal was delicious. The place is well staffed. I'll be leaving Clio this week and I can safely say the only aspect of the community I will miss is this restaurant. The only negative thing I can say is seeing some of the kitchen staff out behind the restaurant smoking on their breaks. They were some pretty scuzzy-looking guys. It gave a seedy impression. Walmart is directly behind the restaurant with hundreds of vehicles driving past everyday. If you're going to hire scuzzy-looking dudes to work the kitchen, don't let them stand outside. read more

Luckys has a good 'steakhouse menu'. Food is consistently prepared well, steaks are great, I love the chicken...and their Luckys salad is awesome! Service is typically good as well. I prefer to go during lunch time because at dinner ESPECIALLY on weekends you're guaranteed a wait. read more

My husband and I ordered Ceasar Salads...and they were swimming in salad dressing with stale crutons "floating" on top. I told the hostess that was a problem and I didn't want my cell phone number listed, she was adamant there was no other way to get a table. This was my first time eating there. I ordered a blooming onion, and my husband and I split an order of shrimp and steak. Everything was gross. They did NOT season anything, my steak looked like it was cooked in the microwave (I ordered medium and it came out rare, the blooming onion had raw batter on it still and was not seasoned. The bread was super dense. I would only recommend eating here if you drink so much first that you can't really taste how bad the food is. They had to cook my steak twice and it still wasn't done right....you're a steak house. I'm only okay with giving this 1 star because the wait staff was great! Please, stay away!!! read more

Food was decent but don't go right when they open up. We were the second couple seated and ordered right away. We just ordered an appetizer and soup. It took 35 minutes to get out the appetizer. The waitress explained since they just opened, it takes a while to get things up to temperature. Really surprised to see the lower rating on Lucky's. I've been coming here for quite a few years now and have never been disappointed. Steaks are huge and the best around -- all their other food is fantastic too. Big portions that all taste super yummy. We make the ~25 min drive quite a bit whenever we are in the mood for a great steakhouse. We have had Cheryl a few times now as our server and she is absolutely fantastic. Quick, polite, the definition of great service. Highly recommended -- they can sometimes be really busy so may want to call ahead and check if it is a busy weekend night or something. read more

Okay my first review was a different day! My co-workers and I went to Lucky's today for lunch. To say the least it was horrible! The waitress did not seem to care that we were there and that we were on our lunch hour. We did not receive our meals for 55 minutes! We ended up having to get everything to go because nothing was ready. Then when we did get our food it was cold. The waitress never once apologized or acted like anything was wrong. I will NOT go back there anytime soon! I ended up complaining to the manager I was so mad. I was nice about my complaint, but I rarely say anything to the manager. The only suggestion that I have is to ask for the waiter named Don. I think it is Don Covert, but he gives excellent service. My husband and I go to Lucky's about once a week. If you go there and it is busy, just try and get a seat at the bar. They will serve your food there and the bar people are fast and nice. Carrie and Eric are one ones that are usually working behind the bar. My husband enjoys the prime rib, we always order it rare, but comes med-rare so think about that when ordering. I just had the filet and oscar lobster it was 21.99 and very good ( I ordered it med-rare and it was perfect) . If you are a fan of sweet potatos, get it with the works, it is huge and like a desert. For lunch the french dip is wonderful. If you are looking to have a cocktail ask for a lemon drop, they make them wonderful there. The place does get busy, but it is worth it. You would not want to go to a steak house if the parking lot was empty .......you know what I mean. read more

Good steak house. Staff was nice and friendly. Steaks were good. Not the best I've ever had but as good as i expected from an average steakhouse. It's no Mortons but i had no expectations that it would be. The steaks were seasoned, which i personally don't care for but they were seasoned well. I had the au gratin potatoes and literally had to drain the butter off of them which was a shame because the had the potential to be very good. Lots of locals getting take out so that says a lot. Several large parties too. That tells me locals like it. I'd go back if i was ever in town but I'd steer clear of the au gratin potatoes and aak them not to butter the bread they bring to the table. Generally I really like this restaurant but have noticed the food quality going down hill. This week was a great example. Went there for lunch. There were 5 of us and only 1 liked their food (the fish & chips). 2 ordered the triple decker grilled cheese, and were very disappointed as they were almost all bread and barely any cheese. Another ordered the steak sandwich which was a very poor cut of meat, tough and gristly, and improperly cooked (ordered medium and it was well). Lastly I ordered the fish sandwich which was on special. It comes with cheese which wasn't even melted and the bun had grill marks but was cold and dry. On a positive note, the potato soup was good as usual and the bread on the table is always very good. I guess the weather helped me to get a seat quickly. Either it was that or the fact that I was dining alone. Either way I was happy to sit down right away, even if it was at the bar. This place gets pretty busy. They have a fairly expensive drink menu but don't ask for a mojito because they don't carry mint. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. But the key lime pie is a must try! It is partially frozen and wholly delicious. I hope I get the chance to come back to this place just to have that pie!
