Side salad with Bleu cheese dressing. Boont Ale behind it
Larry M.

Met my brother in law for lunch. He was already in the bar when I arrived so we ate in there. Denise the bartender quickly took care of us. I had a very tasty dirty vodka martini and my brother in law had a Boont Ale from. Anderson Valley Brewery. He ordered garlic prawns, served with a nice selection of vegetables and he opted for mashed potatoes. I had a really good french dip, loaded with sliced ribs eye, mushrooms, and swiss cheese. The au jus was very tasty. I opted for a house salad( romaine lettuce with beets and cucumbers with a topping of parmesan cheese). I also ordered a cup of soup( today was beefy orzo) very good. The bar had a nice amount of people for lunch. The dining room was decorated nice and looked comfy. I look forward to visiting again.

New spot for us with stepping out to this location. Walked by it many of times over the. Last 2 years. Glad that we did as it was a good way to enjoy our last meal for the day. We were told that we could seat ourselves at any available table. Right away we realized the the bar it adjoined to the restaurant with a small entry way. We did not visit that area during our visit but we are aware for future visits. During this time it seemed as though the two hostesses that were working, split the areas. It helped where needed. Once we placed our food and beverage orders, it wasn't long after that we were presented with everything. All was enjoyable, not over cooked or over salted or bland. Was enjoyed. Even their freshly made generous portions of dessert. With all pictured for two people the bill was around $80. They are in a good spot of town, as you can take a little stroll by the water after your meal if weather permits.

Sample of alfredo sauce and cost

Ordered a fettuccine alfredo for pick-up and this was what I got. It was $18 and I was surprised when the box wasn't even half full and keep in mind that this didn't even include protein which is an extra cost. Of course I can make it myself at home at a lower cost but I expected at least the container to be full. This case would be shame on me and now I learned my lesson however I saw some of my colleagues chose some of their other items on the menu and it looked like a better value so I would give Lucy's another try. Nothing special about this order and I'm not sure if the noodles and sauce were made in the restaurant (didn't taste like it), but I'm still interested in some other items on their menu

Delicious, great service! Will be back! Great ambience and extensive menu... Onion rings were exceptional!

Biscuits and Gravy Baby!!!! Soooo good, biscuits homemade and soft and warm with a great gravy that isn't too salty!

Service was great! The ladies (Lisette & Wendy) took care of us for an impromptu Mother-Daughter Breakfast! Breakfast is only Friday-Sunday, so don't miss out!

My wife took me to Lucy's for my birthday. We were greeted right away but it was not busy, a week night. Reviews indicated the waiter was rude. We did not find that at all. Food was very good. I had Chicken Parmesan and my wife had fish and chips. No dessert as my wife baked a nice cake. We will be back.

Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. We over did ourselves and still ordered meals lol that was pointless considering how amazing the steak was I had to try the ox tail pasta ummmm I was not a fan at all i just think ox tail and pasta is not a good combination wife had chicken parm but again the steak alone would have been perfect but we wanted to splurge a lil but yeah next time we just order the steak dinner and be fine overall I can't wait to go back to Pietro's perfect place for a fancy dinner

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and elegant. We were seated in the back area, which was stunning and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing family dinner. Our server, Beto, was exceptional. Friendly, genuine, attentive, personable, and welcoming, he made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. As parents of young children, we especially appreciated how quickly everything came out without sacrificing quality. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Laconda salad with salmon (on the side), which was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The special house made gnocchi with various cheeses was fresh and delightful. We also enjoyed a cheese pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs, both of which were delicious and expertly prepared. Every dish tasted authentic, fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavor. What stood out most was how effortless the entire evening felt. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food came together to create one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Locanda Capri has firmly reclaimed its place as one of my favorite restaurants in the area. We left happy, impressed, and already looking forward to our next visit. * A special thank you to Beto for making our evening so enjoyable. Outstanding service can elevate a meal, and he did exactly that. *

We didn't have a reservation so there wasn't a table big enough in the patio area to seat us, but the indoor area was just as cute! We got a Locanda salad and the Brussels sprouts as starters and my friend and I ended up deciding on the Firenze pizza to split. The Brussels sprouts were super tasty and the salad was refreshing after we'd been in the sun so long. I had kinda high expectations for the pizza because there are signs all over on how it's the 5th best pizza in the world(?), but maybe those signs were more so regarding the margherita pizza(?). I typically love pizza with pesto in it--this one had yellow tomatoes + burrata as well, which were both wins in my book, but it was unfortunately way, way too oily for my taste. (We wanted to blot the pool of oil out but didn't want to eff up their provided cloth napkins.) It was still tasty, but i definitely think it cookie been better. That being said, I am really curious about their pastas, so if we do go back in the future, I'll likely go for that instead!

Long story short, I'm from NYC, and unless it's (rarely) asked for, red sauce on a Calzone is a no no. If you don't know what a calzone is, its a pocket sandwich, made from pizza dough & filled with whatever you want to fill it with. Different versions out there, different cultures, different breads used. This one Italian, except usually-no red sauce used..in my world. So I asked if they could make a special order calzone for me. My wife had the raviolis in sauce with the salad bar.She enjoyed it; nice sauce. My special order Calzone asked for the following ingredients: and confirmed as available. Ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese mixed with chopped pork meat, a little garlic, & some oregano. Very basic calzone, and it works nicely for my taste. I also asked the crust to be cooked crisp, but not well done. I didn't tell him what proportions of what to use. I trusted his instincts from my previous tastings here. Despite a sudden rush of customers; about 15 people walked in, I kid you not. The staff got busy. Our "special order" was served in less than 10 minutes, and I have to tell you...They nailed it! The Raviolis for my wife came with a side of garlic bread. My NY style white ( No red sauce) special order Calzone was excellent. Just the right blend of the 3 cheeses, and ground pork kept the flavor, texture and moisture of every bite satisfying on my palate. This meal was a Plan B from our original plans for dinner at home. Nice to know, Sunday Night in Rio Vista has options for happy endings.

We were able to grab one of the last reservations of the evening, and after the short drive over, we were seated right at our 9:00 reservation time. From the moment we walked in, the hosts were warm and welcoming, and we knew we had made the right decision. One of the managers, Stephen, stopped by our table and welcomed us with complimentary glasses of Prosecco for the birthday celebration, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. We started with the Pasta Fritta con Prosciutto--crispy, rosemary-scented pasta dough wrapped in prosciutto with mascarpone espuma, honey, and Parmigiano Reggiano. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We also shared the Caesar Nero, made with little gem lettuce, black garlic, and Parmigiano crostini, which was fresh and flavorful. For cocktails, we both ordered the Porch Punch. Made with Redwood Empire Pipe Dream 101, yellow peach, oolong tea, lemon, vanilla, and clarified using the milk punch process, it tasted like a refreshing peach tea. The etched ice cubes with wine glasses and utensils were a small detail that made the presentation even more memorable. For our entrées, Face ordered the Salmon Risotto, while I had the Carbonara. The carbonara is topped with an activated charcoal Parmesan tuile, and while it looks dramatic, it doesn't change the flavor at all--it simply adds a beautiful presentation. The pasta was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Bottega didn't just serve us an incredible meal--they rescued what could have been a very disappointing birthday dinner. The hospitality, service, and food were exceptional, and I'd happily make the drive back to Yountville again.

We got the brussels sprouts, prosciutto and arugula pizza, four cheese pizza, and the pasta with bolognese sauce +meatballs. The brussels sprouts was what came first.. appetizer! The outer layers of the brussels sprouts was mostly burnt, while the insides were pretty burnt. I can't blame them though, most restaurants can't do brussels sprouts perfectly. I always order brussels sprouts when I see them on a menu, but very few turn out to be very good. Also, be aware that Melo's go heavy on the vinegar on the brussels sprouts. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was a personal favorite, as I am a great fan of arugula.. gotta love that unique sesame taste! My only complaint is that there is not enough prosciutto in the pizza. I have no complaints for the four cheese pizza! It did not disappoint at all! The cheese is really rich and there's a cheese pull for each slice you pull out. Though a cheese pizza appears to be underwhelming, the four cheese pizza here at melo's is perfectly heavy, and you get a different taste from each bite of your slice! On the other hand, the bolognese sauce and meatballs were not bad, but nothing new. Though the add on of meatballs were 7.50$, we only get two meatballs! Pretty pricey to be, especially cause they're nothing special. Maybe even overcooked, cause they were unnecessarily dense. However, thank you Melo's for a generous amount of pasta sauce, and the consistency of the pasta is perfectly al dente. Melo's, not bad at all!
