My pretty & neutral colored nails.
    Sandy M.

It's been many many months since I've gotten my nails done. I just moved to C.Harlem from S. California and I am so happy to have found my new local nail salon. I walked-in without an appointment on a Sunday around 4:30 pm. I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure -sixty in total. I paid in cash at the advice of the reviews. The place was clean enough to my standards and I was taken immediately upon walking in. My nail tech was Thao and she did a clean and thorough job on 6 month unmanicured hands and feet. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I felt safe.

Went in on early Saturday morning a little after 10am. Had to wait because staff hadn't arrived. In all fairness, I didn't make an appointment, but at the same time it's a Saturday in Harlem... OPI and Essie polish Clean place Toes neatly polished Nails perfectly coffin shaped and neatly polished

I loved my experience here! Just needed to get a manicure and paint my nails. It was done quickly and cleanly, all for $20. Will definitely be coming for all my nail needs in the future.

    Charge by business.

Over priced AND if you dont pay cash BEWARE!! They think people in the community are stupid and put some exorbitant additional fee for using a card. The nail tech said the charge was "tax" I'm sorry since when is NY State tax on services 17%??? I don't even think nail services is taxable In NY State Regular pedicure and SNS POWDER on my natural nails. total was 60. She charged my card 70 dollars $10 dollars "tax" Mam do I look stupid to you ?? Insult to injury I later checked my Chase Acct They Charged Total $80 !!!!!! BEWARE DON'T Give these people your credit/debit card. THIEVES!!!! I may consider further action bc this is just wrong.

I always come to Lucy's with a picture of exactly what I want done. The man that does my nails is always gets it to the tea and asks questions so I don't leave with a bad experience. They not cut my cuticles and use a drill instead which doesn't really help. He over did it with the drilling and kept going over a sensitive spot. Nails came out thee way I wanted them to in the end.

Great place with friendly staff. I recommend. Also my brows look great too and I didn't have to give any direction.

HONEST REVIEW: BE PREPARED TO WAIT!!! The nail techs are good. But the wait is always ridiculous. I called to say i was heading over, they told me there's no wait. I ended up waiting for almost 2 hours. Then, a full set takes 2hrs+ depending on what you want, i usually get something basic. I'd recommend their services with an appointment only, call to make sure your tech is ready & available. If you're a walk in, go early as fuck or make sure your phone is charged and Netflix is ready because you will be hanging out with them for a while.

I came in on Sunday and I was less than happy with my experience. If yelp allowed half stars, I would offer 3.5. I understand that the weekend can be busy for nail salons but four hours for a mani/pedi is ridiculous. If I didn't bring a snack, I would've started a riot in the place. I waited over an hour after finishing my pedicure and the only reason I didn't leave is because I'm leaving the country in a few days and I don't have time in my schedule. Bottom line: the service was slow and my mani/pedi is just okay. There are other great spots in the area so I doubt I'll be back.

Lucy is so amazing. She can turn nightmare nails into a dream. I moved to New York about 8 months ago and she has been doing them every 2/3 weeks since. I let her play with different design ideas on my nails and am happy every time. She also does a bomb job on my eyebrows and pedicures. I would call to make an appointment because it's always busy and walk-ins do have to wait quite awhile.

This is on the walk out... why is it matte?! Supposed to be shiny.

This place is horrible... I came in for SNS and explained I'm allergic to gel and acrylic so I get SNS. They might do ok acrylic, which is the good reviews on here... but if you want SNS DONT COME HERE. Everyone was so nice to me until I started asking about my nails... I'm not a picky person just want clean and simple. My SNS was patchy and uneven and on my skin. So they said we will do another dip... They started to be so rude and it got worse.... Just because I was asking if the color is going to be patchy. I finally just said put on my top coat so I can go and THEY WANTED TO PUT GEL! I was so upset. I told them you are supposed to use SNS top coat. They said we put gel... I'm highly allergic and told them even told them what happens to my nails when I use gel. They guy at the end was literally grappling my hand trying to put gel and I was grabbing my hand back like what are you doing I'm allergic to that. I AM A LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST AND DO SNS MYSELF BTW, FOR 10 YEARS I KNOW HOW TO DO SNS. I even do my own sometimes. They put so many different top coats and they wouldn't dry and was not shiny. Because you can't use regular top coat. :( I was so upset at this point. I told them why wouldn't you guys tell me you use gel. Plus my nails looked horrible. The guy literally was like just leave I'm not doing your nails anymore because they couldn't get the top coats to dry or get it shiny. SO RUDE OMG. I WAS SHOOK... I started tearing up cause I had a event the next day. And I'm post the pictures so you can see. BAD SERVICE (because the owner or manager whoever she was was just talking mad shit and ignoring me because she had to leave) RUDE (guy that works there was trying to fight me literally and was beyond rude, like it was so bad) and everyone was acting like I was asking for a miracle when I just wanted a top coat and for it to dry... lmao crazy. AND THEY TAKE FOREVERRRRRR. Just go somewhere else trust me.

I've been coming here consistently for 3 months and I love the service, quality, and the salon! I've been getting fills by Lucy specifically and she's great. I would definitely recommend to bring cash because there's a little charge if you pay by card.

I love how my nails came out. The nail tech, (I forgot his name but he sits in the very back where they do pedicures) was very friendly and diligent. Would definitely return again. The only issue I had was I called prior to coming to get a quote over the phone and was misquoted by a female who answered the phone. She quoted me $8 cheaper than what the actual price was for acrylic tips with gel color.

I stopped in just to fix a broke nail. I was greeted pleasantly and was accommodated by one of the mail technicians with no problem. It was the Saturday before Mother's Day too. I'll definitely go there again.
