I have really enjoyed my time here at this bakery/cafe. I came here to study. There is only one outlet from what I can see, so that could propose a problem, but it's a great study atmosphere. Not silent but not too loud. Enough seating for those who want to sit and eat and leaving me room to study. The staff are exceptional. Coffee was a little bitter for my liking, but is nice for when I want to get away from the super sweet starbs coffee. Have yet to try baked goods. Solely came for coffee and studying! During this surreal time, pandemic and new normal for each of us, Ludgers is the one food establishment that remains in my shelter in place program. Only going outside the home for grocery and pharmacy, Ludgers is on the way to and from. These wonderful caring employees deliver quality taste and comfort thru their drive thru, always with a cheerful heart. I appreciate the mask and gloves. I have followed them over from their previous location, my favorites are the apple strudel best in Tulsa and the gorilla hug coffee drink! But now find myself ordering healthy salads and soups to supplement my meal prep at home. Also, their lunch combo is economic and delicious. Stay well, be safe, support local. read more

I went here a couple weeks back to buy some surprise cupcakes for my family as a thank you for helping me move. I have seen this adorable place from afar, but this was only the first time o was able to go in. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff members were incredibly welcoming, kind, helpful, and above all else, patient. They have a good selection of cupcakes that are absolutely delicious, but not so intense as some cupcake shops that specialize in cupcakes. Luckily for us, this also means they are cheaper than those shops! DOUBLE LUCKY for us all, is that since they don't specialize in cupcakes alone, you get the opportunity to sample a variety of baked goods. Personally, I can only speak to the cupcakes and quiche, but I loved them both. They have coffee and smoothies as well as some actual meals as well, and I will be excited to try them out! Had breakfast this morning and it was great! The breakfast bowl with sausage really hit the spot along with my Americano with heavy steamed cream. Besides the delicious food the staff all had smiles and courteously guided us through the menu for our first visit. We did have to top off breakfast with a Tiramisu cupcake. read more

Ate lunch here around 1:30pm on a Thursday - Quite a few people in there, but no line to order. Greeted pleasantly with a positive attitude. Enjoyed their Rueben sandwich-delish! And had a coconut macaroon Bavarian cream filled cupcake that was tasty. The environment is light and airy. They offer fruit infused water. Music soft in the background. I stopped in here to get a slice of the Bavarian Cream Cheese Cake, the lemon flavor to be exact. I had never been here, and I wasn't sure what to expect on the inside of an old Braum's building shell, but they remodeled it nicely. Everything looked fresh and updated. The service was perfectly fine and friendly, which I greatly appreciate. When it came to the cream cheese cake concoction, I was not super happy with it. It seemed like just an old piece of store bought sponge cake with some cheesecake filling. There was a hint of lemon flavor, but it wasn't super noticeable and the item as a whole just didn't seem cohesive or to work together. Kind of like when you get a slice of strawberry cake, and they just put strawberry icing on a plain cake. So, all in all, not bad, not good, just run of the mill and maybe a bit much for the price of what you get for this. If you love pastries you need to try this place. Not only do they have wonderful strudel but coconut cake is to die for. They have great croissants and cookies are yummy. They also have breakfast options and variety of lunch things. The Ludger's breakfast sandwich is a wonderful start to the day with the fried egg with sweet peppers and spinach in the croissant with cheese. It's great. But so is the avocado toast. I also like the breakfast bowl yummy with the scrambled eggs with zucchini peppers onion and spinach. The lunch options are great also especially if you love a Reuben. I am stuck on their Reuben it is by far my favorite lunch item they have. It's my one meat splurge that I will eat and take the stomach pains I know I am in for and it's worth everyone. They put lots of meat on it and it is delicious. The classic BLT is my other splurge sandwich otherwise Veggie Wrap is the standard go to. They also do cakes. You need a cake for any event they can fix you up. Ludger's can cover you for any of your needs. Give them a shot. read more

Ludger's cakes are as good as it gets! I work with a wedding planner, and have had the opportunity to taste MANY wedding cakes. Ludger's is by far the best I have had. I was working at one wedding and the cake stand that they were using was from Ludger's but the cake itself was not. I was excited because I thought that the cake was from Ludger's, but once I tasted it, I thought to myself "this isn't good enough to be from there!". Turns out it was indeed from a different bakery. I am looking forward to using Ludger's for my wedding, and I will happily recommend them for all of your bakery needs! read more

I ordered a birthday cake from Ludger's a few years ago back when they were located near 31st and Sheridan upon a recommendation from a friend that ordered her wedding cake from them. THE BEST cake I have ever had. EVER. I'm not sure about now, but back then they dealt in wedding cakes pretty much exclusively, so when I asked about a birthday cake, they were very helpful and accommodating and advised me to go with a modified groom's cake. It worked out perfectly. That Bavarian cream that they make the cake with is unbelievable. There's nothing else like it. I haven't been to this new location yet, but it looks like they've expanded quite a bit and offer a LOT more baked goods than they used to, which is awesome. I was pretty excited to see a bakery next door to Elephant in the Room, a place for me to relax and sketch while my boyfriend gets his hair cut. The bakery is small, cute and simple which is a good start. I was instantly greeted by a lovely girl behind the counter (didn't get her name). She was patient as I looked over the case, deciding what I would like to have. I was amazed by the showcase; the cupcakes are decorated beautifully, all with a shine and sparkle. I got the Sock-it-to-me cupcake which is a vanilla cake with cinnamon and pecans in the batter. The icing is cream cheese with cinnamon ams pecans on top. It is simply divine. The glitter decoration makes me feel like today is a special day and is sure to brighten anyone else's day as well (I'm trying my hardest to save some for my boyfriend, proving rather difficult). To drink I ordered Thai Coffee: condensed milk coffee, nutmeg. It is creamy and flavorful. I look forward to coming here again to treat myself. read more

This place is darling & their items in the case look amazing! We took home some Heavenly Brownies and a couple of cupcakes. The cupcakes didn't make it out of the parking lot...devoured immediately. I got s'mores and the hubs got cookie dough, both great choices. We chose Ludger's because they had gluten free options. I ended up not choosing Gluten free, but what they had in the cake plate looked yummy. My doctor will be mad at me for not choosing gluten free, but that's the price I shall pay.
