Found great trees further up Roscoe street, better value for money, plenty of Christmas cheer and open til at least 6 pm on the busiest weekend for Christmas trees.

Guys were super friendly and twined it to the roof of my car in no time - wouldn't even use my own rope cuz "he's got a system." Who am I to argue with a professional? My delightful 7' Fraser was $80, plus tax and $3 cc fee - so $91. I have bought fresh trees for nearly my entire adult life and this is one of the best I've ever had - just gorgeous. Hardly any needles fell when I dragged it in - that's how you know it's fresh! I'm thrilled I found my new tree lot in Chicago.

We had a great experience here…read more Overview: Small lot that sells pre-cut Christmas trees, and small selection of wreaths and decorations. While you are paying, they wrap the tree and put it in your car/truck. The Good: After having terrible experiences at U-Cut lots, we decided to give the Kringle Tree Factory a try. The experience was very pleasant; they were not cheap, but the pricing was straight-forward and the trees were of good quality. What I really liked, they had different types of trees, and different sizes. We were flexible on the type of tree we wanted and saved a lot of money by choosing a different variety. If you are very specific about the type of tree you have to have, prepare to pay a little more. Our tree stayed up till mid February, then we cut some of the branches off, and made wreathes, because we liked the smell so much. The wreathes are still decorating our front porch, and coffee table... and its March. The Bad: This is a quick buying process... not many opportunities for photo ops, etc, if that's what you are looking for. Conclusion: Ill be buying my tree, from here, for now on.

However, after surfing the internet several times, the only place I could find locally to shop water plant containers was Alsip. I don't have a pond and a beginner with containers, but discovered it's next to impossible to find a container with appropriate width and depth for water plants. I finally found an employee I thought might help, but he was obviously disinterested and waved his hand to one aisle and swept across another for pots and tubs. When I tried to get information on the container I hoped might work, he just explained it was plastic (made to look like concrete). No information on the label--lucky to find the size. For the price, I hope it'll get through more than one season!
