Bacon, Egg, and Cheese breakfast sandwich
    Amy L.

Excellent, quick service. Delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I got the yummy bacon, egg, and cheese for breakfast and a scrumptious BLT (without the T/tomato allergy) for lunch. They were easily able to accommodate my food allergy. Brought home an assortment of desserts for a friend and they were all fantastic.

Vegan food amidst a sea of restaurants filled with dairy and animal products is a refreshing find. Ordering was easy, either through the self-order kiosk or at the cashier. The sandwiches were large and satisfying, and the coffee cake was absolutely delicious so much so that I ordered it two days in a row while in Philly. The seating is limited and shared by all vendors, but despite the place being packed, the wait for vegan food was short.

Visited on an early Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too busy in the Reading Terminal (where the deli is located) which made it easy to find and access. I ordered the Reuben and the Lox Bagel. The Reuben as a whole was good. First time having one in general. I thought there was enough "meat" in the sandwich to fill me up. The acidity of the sauerkraut paired well with the "meat" along with the tasty 1000 island dressing which I never liked before going vegan but this vegan version is great. The Lox Bagel was excellent! Had it the next day for breakfast and it was delicious! Couldn't even tell it was golden beets on the bagel. The combination of the beets, cream cheese (really good), capers, and onions were fantastic! I should've ordered two! Forgot to take a picture because it was soooo good that I was too busy eating it all lol. Definitely will return and glad I found this vegan spot!

I stumbled upon this vegan spot while I was browsing through Reading Terminal trying to decide what to eat. I've been a vegetarian for almost 17 years, so when the vibrant neon signs saying VEGAN caught my eye, I immediately realized this was the route I was going for lunch that day. After looking over the menu I opted for a caprese sandwich. I know, simple, but that's the kind of girl I am. After placing my order it was ready in under ten minutes and I met up with my boyfriend to grab a table and dig in. At that point, I'll be honest and share that I was underwhelmed. The bread was super thick, the tomato slices were barely there, as in so thin they were see-through, and there wasn't enough arugula. I get this sandwich doesn't have a ton of ingredients, but you can still make it hearty. I ended up taking all the ingredients off of one half and added it to the other half to make it a bit more enjoyable. I will say that the vegan mozzarella was delicious, it was as if it were the real thing! I would come back to try other items on the menu and encourage you to give it a try yourself. Whether you're vegan or not, it's worth a try!

The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the bread for the cold sub was a little chewy/tuff. Maybe if it were a hot sub it would have changed the texture of the bread but I ordered the italian sub and it was a delicious sub minus the texture of the cold bread. The star was the chocolate raspberry cake. 5 stars for the cake. So decadent and not overly sweet. The icing wasn't bitter which you tend to find in chocolate desserts. Yum!

Great experience! Very kind staff and all food came out extremely hot and fresh. We ordered the Italian hoagie as well as the Chicken parmesan sandwich. Both were great and we would order them both again! A+ experience!

Visited Luhv on a quick trip to Philly recently. I ordered a Tuna Hoagie, which may have been the wrong choice as it was a bit bland and tasted chalky with tons of mayo (not a fan). The staff were friendly enough, and it didn't take long to get my order. The concept is in the marketplace which makes for a fun atmosphere and was very busy. They had a ton of options so I would love to try a few other things next time I'm in town!

Service is always good, but the size of the sandwiches have gotten very small and not worth what they are charging. This sandwich was $11.00.

This is becoming one of my favorite vegan places to go when I'm in Philly. Their beet lox bagel is perfection. I've also had their BLT and they give you a lot of seitan bacon, it's wonderful and totally worth it. Both are toasted which makes them even better. They also have a togo deli case for quick pickups. You can get their meats, desserts, sides, and some meals you can heat at home. Next I'll need to try the coffee cake and brownie (plus their other location).

    Sausage, Egg and Cheese Sandwich

I ate here every day on my recent visit to Philadelphia. My favorite sandwich by far was the Luhv Lox--a bagel stuffed with smoked beet, cream cheese, onion, and capers. The Philly cheesesteak was a close second, and the Italian sub was delicious. My partner really liked sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, but I did not like the tofu egg at all and thought the sandwich needed a sauce of some kind (hot sauce or A1). The only thing I would change about Luhv Lox is to have them out it on a softer bagel--the everything bagel tasted great but was extremely tough to bite through. Still, these are minor quibbles over an otherwise awesome vegan deli experience.

You can order just vegan deli slices or food/sandwiches (lunch type foods). The coleslaw was too vinegar-y to enjoy. The chickpea soup had the thick consistency of and tasted like chili. However it was good. The vegan rueben was just ok. It's a nice option to have in the Reading Terminal Market.

Finally a vegan spot in Reading Terminal Market, and it's a great one! Their sandwiches are incredibly fresh and prepared with great attention to detail. Most of them involve their housemade seitan which is excellent; I opted for the chickpea "tuna" salad sandwich as a lighter option and LOVED it. They used to offer kombucha but unfortunately discontinued it.

During my visit to Philadelphia, my first stop was at Reading Terminal Market, all thanks to my craving for Luhv Vegan Deli. I ordered my favorite, the Reuben sandwich ($9.99), and added a side pickle for an extra 50 cents. Let me tell you, it was hands down the best vegan Reuben I've ever tasted. The combination of corned beef, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing, and provolone on rye bread created a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. The creaminess from the cheese and dressing, the heartiness from the corned beef, and the acidic bite from the sauerkraut made every bite incredibly satisfying. Aside from their fantastic Reuben, Luhv Vegan Deli offers a variety of other sandwiches, deli meats, cheeses, and delectable desserts like whoopie pies and coffee cakes. The experience was simple, straightforward, and utterly delicious. Also, the service was efficient and friendly. If you're in the mood for a hearty vegan meal that hits all the right notes, Luhv Vegan Deli at Reading Terminal Market is the place to go. I can't recommend it enough! *explore Philly's vegan delights, including my visit to Luhv Vegan Deli, on my youtube channel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE6cC8dOv2U&t=1s

The only vegan place in a sea of meat! Got the vegan tuna sandwich, it was good. Light, crunchy, perfect for a hot day.

Busy busy in the holiday season. Food served quickly but missing a touch. BLT hit the spot but the grands wouldn't touch the grilled cheese.
