Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters is located inside Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park. It's a line dancing ride where the cars are Italian roadsters that move like they're line dancing to Italian music. It's hidden in the back of the area tucked in the corner. It's a kids ride but it was kinda jerky at times during the moving and spinning. I also slid in my seat while going back and forth so make sure to hold on. The ride uses a trackless system so it looks cool sliding across the "dance floor" and gliding around smoothly. read more

Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters is a trackless dancing car ride that moves to the sound of Luigi's voice plus Italian music. I believe there is a height requirement of 32 inches since the cars do spin sort of fast at one point - seatbelts are required! The line queue is cute as you're walking through Casa Della Tires shop that is owned by Luigi. The wait times vary, I noticed they were a little longer during our last visit since it was during the Thanksgiving holiday. This is a catchy little automated ride where you get into a vehicle and all of the cars "dance" in sync with the music. It goes by pretty quick and there isn't that much spinning for those that are worried about getting sick. It's definitely more of a kids ride than an adult ride but you have to try it at least once. I would only probably go back every so often as opposed to riding it every time I go to the park. However if you are a kid I'm sure this ride is much more exciting. read more

The line usually moves at a pretty decent pace, and I actually enjoy the walk through Luigi's tire shop and out into the open area since the theming is cheerful and fun to look at. The ride itself is quick, but it packs a lot of personality into a short time. Spinning and dancing around in a tiny car is way more delightful than it has any right to be. Enjoyed Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters especially since the wait time was only 5 minutes. Visited the day after Thanksgiving and we love going to Disney California Adventure when wait times are minimal or non existent. It's usually during weekdays or some special event like Oogie Boogie Bash and Star Wars Night when hardly any wait times and you can go on rides multiple times. Today was perfect. It's on the left side in Cars Land, but you do have to walk a little bit in. When you see the stack of tires, go into the building behind it. E X P E R I E N C E As I mentioned in the beginning. It's basically a trackless car ride, but you have no control of the car. It will spin you and drive you up down side to side like a dance. There are different songs that happen and the dances are different to each song so it's a different experience every time. But note this is not for a person who gets motion sickness easily. The last time we went here, someone didn't have a great time and kind of left their mark inside the building. I assumed they were going to ride it again and decided it wasn't a smart idea. The ride is short. It's the length of a short song. O V E R A L L Whenever we have done time or the line isn't too long, we do get to do this ride and every time, it's just one of those rides you get a smile on your face because it's darn cute. I do get motion sickness depending on how much sleep or hydration I get so I try not to ride this one when I'm feeling it, but when I'm good, I do end up on this ride at least once when we visit. Super fun ride. Wait wasn't too long on a Monday afternoon. It was about 20min. Half of the wait it's inside while the other half before the ride is outside. Ride isn't on tracks, it's on wheels so it was pretty smooth. The height requirement is 38" so my 3 year old was able to ride. 3 to a car, if 3 adults it's pretty tight. Solid ride in Cars Land. Worth the wait if it's around 10-20 minutes (maximum), but there is an inside part of the queue where it's super air conditioned and there's lots of decor inspired by the movie to take a look at. They also reskin this ride with different songs and decor based on the holidays. During Halloween, it's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween and during Christmas it's Luigi's Joy to the Whirl. Quite cute. Each car can seat 2 adults and small child or just 2 adults. You spin and whirl around to the music. You get slid around as well, which is fun. The ride is as long as a song and you do a final spin at the end. Decently fun for a shorter wait. read more

Today in particular we were on, the ride stopped, they reset, we got back on and it stopped again, after the third time of them "going on siesta" we gave up. I wouldn't wait more than 20 mins from this ride, but despite it being a more "kiddy" ride, it's very very fun as an adult. I've been once with my husband with just the 2 of us, and then with 2 other friends (so 3 of us to 1 seat). As an adult woman it was pretty tight fit for 3 people but not impossible. During the Christmas season the songs are different and winter holiday theme, which was super fun! The cars are "dancing" together and it's trackless. Not a super fast ride, but the little twists and turns are pretty fun. The themed decor outside in the line area also very fun and cute, Italy colors. It can be surprisingly fun and I laugh a lot, because it's similar to Mater's ride but pretty unpredictable which makes it very fun. Overall, because it's a kid ride, if you're an adult don't wait too long for it. But at night time the ride time typically goes down to 5 mins and it's great. read more

We visited California Adventure last month and went on Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, which is the October version of Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters. It was closed when we first tried to go, and I was glad we had another day to try again. The ride was perfect for my three-year-old, who loves Cars as well as gentle thrill rides for the 32" to 40" set. The line can get pretty long, but we went when it was reasonable (or so it seemed to me, sitting outside with a napping baby while my husband did the wait). We also took advantage of the rider switch service, so we were both able to ride without waiting in line all over again. This was nice for us, but even nicer for our son, who got to go twice, thanks to his little brother. The people working the ride were super sweet to him, even letting him pick out the car he wanted (the one dark red one) after we sat out a turn so we could get to the front of the pack. I'm a fan of Cars Land and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters fits right into it, located behind a convincing real-world reproduction of Luigi's Casa Della Tires. It's cute and fun, an Italian-American dance party with Luigi's old country cousins spinning around a trackless lot to Italian-ish music. The speed is exciting without being scary, and it's plenty enjoyable even if you're an adult who would rather be on a roller coaster. As long as our kids like Cars, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters will be a top priority ride whenever we go to California Adventure. It really is a honkin', rollickin' good time. read more

This is a ride designed for the younger ones. It's very similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree in that its focus is on music and singing, but it's not quite as predictable. With this ride, each of the cars will move in a pattern that's based on the song that's playing. If I had to pick between the two, I would go with this one as it's not as whippy! read more

This is a ride geared for the tater tots and kiddos in Cars Land in California Adventure park. Minimum 32 inch height requirement. Luigi 1959 Fiat 50 is the owner of Casa Della Tires. As homage to his native Italy, he has the Leaning Tower of Tires in front of his shop. For real, it's a sight to behold. The ride queue goes through his shop and ends in the outside in the backlot. The shop walls are decorated with photos of Lighting McQueen's Piston Cup win and of course racks of tires... Tortellini Tires. You hop on into a Frizzante roadsters modeled after the 1950s tiny Italian mini cars. They fit two adults comfortably. They are Luigi's cousins. All 20 of them visiting from Carsoli, Italy. Adorable roadsters painted in bright fun colors. Party on down as they dance around to some great catchy Italian songs such as Mambo Italiano. That tune is contagiously catchy. read more

This attraction is a hit for smaller kids, but personally a pass for me since I'm child free. I do recommend this attraction for those with children, or to give it a go if you've never been on it. Casa Della Tires' storage yard has been converted into a little piece of Italy. The set up match the story line and the traits of Luigi. Ride is all about the "car-eographed" roadster weaves and whirls to popular old country music. These Frizzante roadsters were modeled after 1950's Italian rear-engine micro-cars. And this ride is very popular among the Cars fans. Wait time is close to 50-60 mins. We had to wait for almost 45 mins. Then it was a 90 second fun ride. Kids loved it. My family and I were in Cars land waiting for our Radiator Springs Fastpass to queue up. We had about 30 minutes to spend before going on our ride, so, we ended up stopping by Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters. Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters is located across the Flo V8 cafe, and right next to Radiator Spring's Cars ride. The inside decor waiting for the ride is pretty nice. I'd imagine if it's during Summer, that being inside the AC waiting for this ride would be a nice break. My daughter and I were here riding this ride on Thanksgiving Seasonal Holiday. My daughter's 6 and was super excited about this ride. While waiting in line, we saw several families exiting the ride. We didn't realize, after standing in line for 15 minutes, that the ride was broken. We talked to the Staff member and the team mentioned that the ride would be ready in a few minutes. By the time we ended up waiting to get on this ride, we had waited about 45 minutes. This ride is one of the few kid friendly rides in California Adventure. You get in a car, it it goes around in circles with music playing in the background. If you go during the holiday's, Luigi is singing holiday musical songs. At the end, the cars do a quick spin dance together. I wouldn't wait for this ride, only if my daughter wanted to go on it again! I would rather use that time to wait for a different ride like Goofy's fly school or even some of the other smaller rides like the Symphony Swings. read more

How the ride works: You ride in these little cars as they do a line dance to the music that's playing through the speakers. My 6 year old God-daughter loved this ride and this car dance party is very appealing to kids around that age group. The main entrance makes the building appear to be a tire shop in Cars land. It looks more like an entrance to a gift shop versus a ride which may help explain why there are minimal lines. This ride at Disney California Adventure Park's Cars Land just opened in March of 2016! The first time I rode Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters was during a special preview for Annual Passholders! We even got a Keepsake Keychain! I was thrilled because I just happened to be there at the right time! Thanks to Alana for giving me the heads up on this promotion - she really keeps up to date on these things! I didn't think I'd ride again, but I did. It's kind of jerky and "twirly", so I felt a bit nauseous... haha! There are about 20 cars on invisible tracks and they move in a synchronized pattern - like a complex line dance... it's quite an engineering accomplishment! If your children are climbers, beware, if they try to climb the hedges or the fences cast members will ask them to safely come down and not climb on them. I am that parent that was not paying attention who was on her phone picking her next max pass selection and felt a bit embarrassed that my child was called out so just a heads up don't be that mom like me lol This ride is a non-traditional track type of ride where you sit in a car similar to Luigis make and model in different bright colors there is a long open seat belt that must be connected to all parties in the car they will ask you to safely tug on them before proceeding to start the ride the ride it's self is smooth quick and sometimes has a lot of sharp turning the music distracts you from the jerkiness it is in no way like the abruptness of goofy sky school but it is not a smooth track dark ride Disneyland vibe it does jerk it definitely does keep you awake and it is definitely high energy with the music that is playing and the fact that it is open and bright This is definitely on my toddler's top favorite rides in the park I understand why the music the colors it's just a great high energy beautiful ride definitely on our one a day list when we visit the parks read more

If cars could dance, this ride would be an example of it. I didn't know what to expect when we got in line, but we decided to do it since all the kids were allowed on the ride. I think there's a height requirement, but it still allowed all the kids (2.5 to 7 years in age) to ride. We were here on Sunday, November 18th a little after 11am. Picking the color of the car was part of the fun. One of the kids and I staked out a pink car. The ride itself is kinda painful as you are sliding left and right in the car as it moves. My poor hip bones were not happy. But I think the kids enjoyed it as it was fun for them watching the cars move in formation. An option in Cars Land for the kiddies. read more

On 3-2-16, there were a lot of kinks they needed to work out. The Cast Members & families were invited to test the ride first. I watched and saw the same group enter and exit twice, but the third and final time was when their ride actually completed. We didn't see the first attempt. Annual Passholders got to ride on Friday-Sunday (3-4 to 3-6). When you go inside the building, the CM will scan your pass and give you a Commemorative Keychain in honor of this new ride. It's a fun & useful little keepsake! From Monday 3-7-16 onward, it is open for anyone and everyone to ride. You must be at least 32 inches tall to ride it. This is such a fun little ride! It is a little jerky and it will swing you around and jostle you. There is a seat belt you must wear that will keep you in the car and there are no doors. The whole idea of this ride is that the cars are dancing. The music is festive and Italian. Feels very much like you are in an Italian place. The cars are super cute, if cars can be cute! There are female cars with smiles, and male cars with smiles and mustaches. According to the Cast Member I spoke with, each of the cars have names, too! My friend wanted to ride a pink car and the Cast Member told us the names of the 2 pink girlie cars, but I forgot. Maybe later, a year from now, when the excitement dies down, I will ride it again. But then again, if I am in that area and the wait time is reasonable, I will go on it. read more

I have been counting down for over a year on this and am still swooning from the cast preview that I was honored to be able to attend earlier in the evening. Both of my sons were in love with the new Luigi's ride and were screaming with fun and excitement from the start to the end. Super cute and very animated, there wasn't one person in the bunch that wasn't having a great time! Must be 32" to ride! My 20 month old cleared it by about 2 inches...I guess its good Luigi went on vacation & came back now. ;) p.s. Thank you Imagineers! It is everything that I had hoped for and more! Cute little ride that may be more fun to watch than to actually ride. Looks super smooth as "mystery forces" move the cars around in a choreographed pattern. Looks like they have 5ish different songs / patterns which keeps it interesting. Also, cars are all different and fun to look at. The ride, however is herky jerky and you feel like you're going to fall out the whole time. Made fun of the seat belt at the beginning but then during the ride I was tightening it to make sure I didn't land on the ground. Also, It's weird not to have any input into the ride. You're just an unwitting passenger in the humans-optional dance of animatronic cars. read more

First time on this attraction. Unfortunately I never got to ride Luigi's Flying Tires so I don't have a lot to compare it to. I literally walked right in and there wasn't line, which is always a nice surprise! The cars are cute, but very small. It's very similar to Mater's Jamboree, yet I like Mater's more. This was very jerky, and all the cars spun in unison or something. Pretty odd. And the ride is very short, too. It's definitely not Racers, and I know I can pass on this next time. Take your kids to it though! I'm sure it'll be a hit to them. read more

The above song is from one of the five "dances" that riders experience during the new Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, located in the old Luigi's Flying Tires location in Cars Land. Open less than a month as of this writing, this new ride where guests get in a car and move along a preprogrammed routine that differs based on which car you ride and which song is playing moves along much faster than the previous one. We checked it out this past weekend - upon going into the queue, we were given a plastic card and lanyard to mark where the line placement was at the moment. (Although, it wasn't too bad - we waited thirty minutes in line total.) Once we got in line and told the attendant that it was just the two of us riding, we got into place, chose our car (quick tip - the guidos have the grill on the hood like a mustache), and belted ourselves in. Even though the ride only lasts a minute or so, it's a lot more fun than Luigi's Flying Tires - watching all the cars move in formation is neat, and we were a bit envious when we saw two of the cars move in the center of the dance floor while the others danced around it. The best part is near the end, when the cars stop and spin in a circle in place; you can't help but your hands in the air! DEFINITELY an improvement over Luigi's Flying Tires (but no "Volare" - what gives?)! read more
