Great pizza, fresh flavors, friendly staff, fast service, worth every visit! again!!!

My friends and I get takeout from here almost once a week and really enjoy their eclectic selection of unique pizza choices. Although I do not dine in often, the ambience is reminiscence of a typical pizza joint with takeout seating as well as sit down dinner experiences. This is DISGUSTING. I ordered two pizzas and 3 salads. My daughter had 3 friends over for a birthday party. One of the pizzas was a cheese pizza. There was a human hair in it. That is disgusting. It was good, but I don't think the value matches. I ordered a medium chicken bacon ranch pizza and 12 garlic knots. The medium pie was more like a personal pie as it came with 6 small slices...not even regular sized slices. A but it a rip off honestly. The flavor was good in both the pizza and the garlic knots...but I don't think it was worth the almost $40 price tag. I wouldn't order again when I'm back in the area. read more

I wish I lived closer to Luigi's, it seems to be a good neighborhood pizzeria. I received a great coupon in the mail so I decided why not, if it's bad it wouldn't be a huge loss. Last time I went to a place for a coupon, it was terrible so I had low expectations. And Luigi's exceeded it. I loved the online platform and the ability to add coupons on there. The pizza was really good. I don't know why some would say it wasn't flavorful, it certainly was. If they keep mailing me these coupons, I'm sure to be a frequent flyer. And they actually used real garlic on the garlic knots. Surprisingly using real garlic is becoming a lost art. read more

Ran in for a quick slice and there was an amazing selection of pies from salads and broccoli and all kinds of meats. We sat in a booth and enjoyed our slices. Staff was friendly and the pizzeria looked clean. Slice was generous but nothing special, there wasn't much flavor; tasteless. read more

Came here with the family since we were passing through. From the outside, it's underwhelming with an olive green sign. Once entering, I was pleased to be welcomed with a clean and organized dining area and simple decor. The dining area is of a reasonable size. My family and I ordered: - linguini with red clam sauce - penne a la vodka - salad pizza - 2 Sicilian slices - 1 mushroom & sausage slice Not quite sure why there were bad reviews. Though, this was our first time, my family and I had a great experience here. The workers were quick and very accommodating, the pasta was great...the pizza is mediocre, but not at all as bad as some people have mentioned. I hope that people will give this place another shot. Order penne with Alfredo sauce. When I had the free time to eat it I had to heat it up and found no alfredo sauce which is not an issue as I have a jar here, but had to drain over 40ml of oil from the penne. I could have gotten a better meal from Domino's Pizza than what I got from Luigi's. This will be my last time as the meal was so oil-saturated that I had to throw it away. read more

No question this location has gone through changes over the last 26 years I've been in the area (I remember when we called it Anthony's.). Is it hands-down the best pizza in East Setauket? No, as there are plenty of other solid choices. Do they have their share of bad days? Yes. Yet there's something to be said about going here everyday for six-years straight (No, really, I did.), and never getting tired of their pizza and other fare [including the Freestyle machine]. Luigi's is our go to spot for an after school slice with the kids. Their favorite is the macaroni and cheese slice. I really enjoy sitting there and eating a slice compared to take out. I feel the slices are much larger and cooked better. Some of my go to slices are the plain, BBQ chicken, chicken bacon ranch, and Caesar salad slice. Pizza is slightly better then dominos. Stopped here quick to grab a quick lunch before heading home. Place does look nice and pizza looks good but the taste....mehhh at best. Crust and dough had 0 flavor. Sauce tasted jared. I cant remember the last time i didnt finish a slice of pizza. The tomato and mozz slice i got was slightly better but not much. Stopped in today. On Long Island so I wanted to get pizza again,while I was still here. Walked In around 2p.m. and was greeted by a friendly counter person, so that was good. Got a couple of slices and a coke for about 10 bucks, not bad for the island. Slices were hot but the crust was too thick. You pick it up and fold it, and there was no droop. Sauce was not too flavorful and no oil from the cheese. Tried to jazz it up but no red pepper or garlic powder on the counter. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service! Manager is so rude! I've been ordering from here for years and we just recently ordered 2 pies. They made the grandma pie half the size it used to be and when I called to complain the manager said oh I'll come swap the pies and bring u a new one. So what are they planning on doing with the one I'm giving them back? That's a little alarming considering COVID. We're u going to resell the slices? And on top of that he's telling me they ran out of the bigger one. No that's straight up BS, we all know you stretch the dough and make it the size you want don't try and play me for an idiot. Eh. I decided to order a hero for lunch since it was mad prom season and couldn't break from the work counter. Meatball hero was very disappointing in looks. Taste was eh. The bread was not toasted making the hero soggy from internal contents. To top it all off the cheese was no fully melted. You can still see the shredded cheese clumped together in a poor attempt in reheating the food. There was no peeling of the cheese off the wrapper or stretchy goodness from hero to mouth. Good place to bring your family. Now that Mario's pizza(not far away)is in limbo status, many come here instead. Check out Luigi's menu - they have a varied menu including a buffet. I have never really liked Luigis and have found the crust like cardboard but I thought I would give it a shot as the other pizzeria was closed down. I ordered a Margherita Pizza which is my favorite and to me what I like best are the small bits of fresh mozzarella and sauce with basil. However, what I got from them was not that at all. It was awful. covered in the thick yellowy cheese and covered all over in fresh tomatoes and no sauce and dried basil not the fresh I am accustomed to. What a waste of money. It cost extra and no one wanted to eat it. I called to tell them and the young girl was apologetic and offered to let me speak a manager. I said ok and waited and waited and waited...and gave up. Never again. I don't care if this is their version, it is not what you would expect so that is misleading read more
