My wedding planner also said he responded to texts, communicated well, listened to directions that would help direct the wedding vision, and worked with well with other vendors. Jose also stood out because of his good and enthusiastic attitude. It is so important to have a good attitude when weddings are really stressful. Jose had a grounding and calming presence, which I can't say all vendors are like that. They were timely with their product and worked with me on the preview. He was very communicative while he worked on the product. We also had a corgi (who loves to bark) to incorporate as our guest of honor. At our wedding, Jose stood out as being the the vendor who worked best with our dog. He didn't flinch at all when my corgi was just being a dog. If Ube barked or didn't act perfectly, Jose did not have a problem with this. He seemed genuinely enthusiastic that Ube was a part of our wedding. He was able to capture a few special moments with our dog. Our highlight video made me tear up that he caught Ube looking at us when we were walking. I honestly wish we had set more time aside with Jose for capturing private moments with our dog and portrait style videography of solo shots of the bride/veil and groom. (Please note, only didn't get this because I did not set aside time and had a difficult photographer). So some tips for folks to make sure to set aside time in their timeline for this. Also with the package we got, Jose was able to capture a lot of the dancing magic with friends. I know weddings are about the couple, but it is also about the people who came to celebrate. I want to remember and spend time with everyone, that's why I invited them. He had a really fun reception video where he shared a lot of that dance floor vibe and energy. Once you're an adult, it's hard to have those fun parties with everyone you love, he was able to capture the moments that'll last for all of us - couple, friends and family. Unrelated PSA for any couples reading this: remember to practice standing straight! Think of pulling in your torso straight up (rather than your shoulders) - hope that tip works - I ended up slouching despite keeping my shoulders 'as straight as possible.' We proceeded to book our engagement session in Santa Barbara. We just got the photos back last night, and they are really amazing.
