I don't know where to begin! This is a hipster joint. If you were looking for overpriced, boujee and quality sandwiches you've come to the right place. The prices in Brooklyn are significantly higher than anywhere else in the state and borough mostly because of the insane rents. Still there's something old fashion and special about this place. They get their bread and bagels delivered fresh daily and I thoroughly enjoyed my bacon egg and cheese which was loaded with REAL pork bacon! They do have some delicious looking lattes and coffees! Staff is nice.

#9 Grilled Bagel #9 Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich

Pro-tip: The sandwiches are a much better value than the bagels. Highlights: The amount of chicken they put in the grilled chicken sandwich is a really good deal and they are also generous with the avocado, which is nice to see these days. I thought the sandwich was delicious. I love the variety of the bagel choices. Lowlights: It's a small place, so it takes some time for the order. I thought the bagel was a little overpriced.

The grilled mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich was absolutely divine. The pesto was flavorful and it came in two little sandwiches. The girl that took my order was super cheerful and the place had such a cozy vibe. Loved the tables filled with nuts and bolts.

AMAZINGGG! Never disappoints me. Recommend this to all my friends that visit nyc. The BEC is always a tasty go to. Tastes fresh and handmade. I used to also never be a fan of LOX sandwiches until I came here. 10/10 and the vibe of the bakery has a great ambience, that I can enjoy on a relaxing morning.

    Burnt everything bagel

Just a straight up day old burnt whole wheat everything bagel that's pretty much just sesame and poppy seeds? I did not get it toasted so it was baked this way and they thought it was okay to serve. It's also stale. If I could give zero stars I would. The spearmint lemonade is at least decent.

Burnt bagels and a PITIFUL amount of cream cheese. $4.50 for Lox CC and it looks like you stuck a knife in the tub of CC, scraped the CC off the knife, and spread the remaining CC on the bagel. This bagel was my 13th reason

I love this place. It used to be my go to spot when I lived in the area, and today happened to be that day. Every items it curated with love at least that's how I feel. Anyway stop by, unused food goes to a pantry at night

    Plain bagel toasted dark

I asked for a plain bagel toasted dark not burnt. Why would they think this was ok? I thought I'll taste it maybe it's not as bad as I think. All I taste is burnt bread.

Lula Bagel is a gem. I came back recently after 9 years to see if they were still around and they haven't changed. They've kept the same delicious ingredients but also shockingly their prices. In this economy that's big. Amazing service, clean and top notch paninis. Enough said!

THEY DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE with this breakfast bagel, baby!! I am normally a bodega baconeggandcheeseonaroll girl myself, but I decided to get fancy because I had friends in town. This bagel was perfection, toasted perfectly, bacon wasn't burnt, good quality cheese. *chefs kiss*. So good I came back the next day. I wasn't sure about the coffee when they handed it to me but once I took a sip... all the doubt left my body. DELICIOUS! Made with love. The line at the order window does get long, so be smart and order ahead. You can sit inside which is cute too. Small and quaint. Enjoy!

    ##2 Vegan Lox
    Jacqueline S.

A very sandwich focused bagel shop. Not the best bagels, but solid ones, and lots of fun options for vegans! I'm pescatarian and prefer to avoid dairy, so I was pleased to order a vegan version of a bagel with lox and the works-- a bagel tofu cream cheese, dill, capers, and carrot lox. The carrot lox was very unique. It was so tender that at first I thought it was made of peppers. It had a very strong, pickley flavor which I thought was a nice substitute. I do still eat lox and like that better, but I'm glad I tried this and would definitely recommend it to vegans and vegan curious folks. The coffee was good. Nothing to write home about, but that's all I really hope for from a bagel shop. There was room for about 8 people to sit outside which was nice. Overall, a good spot for interesting sandwiches and good vibes!

Breakfast bagel. Iced latte. Delicious delivery.

Slightly under toasted, not enough seeds on the everything bagel. The wait time was not bad for a Saturday morning.

I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.

Allow me to put it in perspective, this is gas station food on steroids. Located in Red Hook (and all it takes is to go outside and see you are in Red Hook), this nondescript bodega serves up one heck of a sandwich that will have you thinking, did I just eat that? This is not your ordinary New York bodega, this is the shop of General Ock, who sells various sandwiches in his renowned Ocky Way. So what is the Ocky Way? The Ocky Way is not just a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and onions, it is also about presentation and style. The sandwich is made loudly with a flair for the dramatic, from the time your food hits the flat top to when it is center cut and put in a clamshell container. What about the food? It really is pretty good! I got the Chopped Cheese the Ocky Way and it was something I really enjoyed. I recommend you get it with the Jamaican Patty as that is what makes the flavors work best. You can also do it with a waffle or pancake or whatever bread you like. All you have to do is scarf it down. You can also put your own toppings on your sandwich if you want for an extra premium à la Farmer in the Deli style. Farmer in the Deli is another well known bodega in Fort Greene, known for finely chopping their meat into a sandwich, one I highly recommend as well. Even after writing this review, I still cannot believe what I ate here. Before I finish this review, I have to say one more thing. Neva neva neva forget to get a drink with your order!
