Super refreshing to enjoy a nice meal (burger for me and my son) in a FAMILY OWNED restaurant. Islands had an hour wait, we were driving thru the area, found LuLu's on yelp, and gave it a try. If you're tired of the personality-less chain restaurant and want a nice meal (served by waiters who really care about the place -- good job, Lisa), give LuLu's a try. Ordered here a few times and food is pretty good. I would suggest that if you are ordering delivery, do not order any of the fried foods because they come pretty soggy. I would only order the fried foods only if I was dining in house. However, their Club sandwich is always great. read more

It's not often I find a restaurant where when someone asks me "what's good?" I can point to the menu. Nothing specific, mind you; just the menu itself. I found Lulu's on Eat24 and it's now my go-to anytime I'm craving something they happen to have, but don't feel like going anywhere (plus, I've never waited more than 30 minutes for delivery!). I've never once ordered anything that I wouldn't give 3 stars or above. The chicken tenders are to die for, the tri-tip is delicious (the barbecue sauce is amazing), and the turkey club is something special. Oh and you wouldn't think sourdough bread could even BE this good, but it is! I only wish I'd found this place sooner! read more

My boyfriend and I come here pretty often for breakfast but the last two trips we made for breakfast was the absolute worst. We sat there for more than 30 minutes each time and not a single waitress walked by to ask if we have been helped or even asked us if we'd like anything to drink. The first time it happened.. the manager just so happened to walk by and realized we had not been helped.. so our coffee and lemonade was "on the house".. I had a delicious brisket sandwich today at lulus and was served by Melanie who cold not have been nicer. I loved the airplane pictures on the wall (could name them all). Decided to order here due to it sounding as close to home cooking as possible from Eat24. My girl got the Asian Chicken Salad while I got the Chili Cheese Burger. The salad was solid, but the chicken was pretty inconsistent as some pieces were more cooked while others, not so much. The overall taste of the salad was solid and the dressing was on par with store brand. The chili cheese burger wasn't the greatest I've had, but it was better than I thought it would be after I tried it. The meat wasn't medium rare, as I had put down, but rather well done. A bit of a disappointment but hey, it still tasted well. The french fries were also damn good. Best part though, was the Onion Rings, tasted real damn good. Might give this place another shot, but we shall see. read more

This is a difficult review for me to write and I had to think for a few days if I wanted to post this or not. I placed an order by phone here a few nights ago. When I arrived a man behind the counter appeared to be putting it together. While he was doing so another man that I assume was either the manager or the owner (I could not tell which based on his attire or any tags that might have identified him) walked up to the person packing my order and started dressing him down loudly over some issue. The person doing my order was trying to answer this man's questions and finish my order at the same time but was obviously being severely distracted by the other man. I heard the man doing the order tell the owner (?) if this could please wait until he was done but the other man ignored him and kept dressing him down. Finally the person at the counter walked over to the man and said to let the other man finish the order and then take it all somewhere else. At that point he finally stopped distracting the other man. After this the man doing my order finished it up very quickly and brought it to me. He was very friendly and apologized for the time it took to finish the order. I told him I understood an not to worry. It was not his fault. The food was fine. The food was actually quite excellent and yes: I'll probably order from here again at some point. If I were only rating the food this would have been a 4 or 5 stars review. I am sorry Lulus, but it was the drama I was forced to witness that made the experience very uncomfortable for me. I do not know what the one employee did to deserve the way he was being spoken to but that never should have happened in front of customers and certainly not while the employee was busy helping a customer. That is just unprofessional under any circumstances. In the end I just felt bad and embarrassed for the employee. I only hope that the next time I come by the atmosphere will be more professional. If it is I'll modify my rating and review. read more

the place is not clean and have old smell as soon as you enter inside and it has very tired old look. We go here during the lunch hour and the three of us are very hungry. We ordered grilled tilapia with mashed potatoes and vegetables on side which the waitress bragging about how delicious the mashed potatoes with garlic. Bacon cheese burger and mine is diced ham and eggs with country potatoes. I also order clam chowder which had lumps of flour, no clams and bland. My dad's salads is great and the only thing worth eating. We went there because of the good ratings and wow!! what a shock for us to know that the food was not edible at all. The grilled fish that my father In-law force to eat because we are hungry are totally burned and tasteless and cold, because it took the waitress too long to serve us the food. The bacon cheese burger was so bad that after one bite that was it, and we change it to tuna melt was less than average with almost no cheese at all. Thank goodness the tuna came out of the can so we knew it's somewhat good. My dice ham omelet is mediocre and the egg is way over cooked and the ham is from a roll. No body finish the meal except for my very hungry dad that have to swallow and drink a lot of water. I'm sorry I have to put 1 star because we had a very bad service of food and this is a dives food. Once upon a time this was a first class coffee shop. Too bad to see something die when it once good before. All in all it's a bad experience from our part as customer, unless you are really hungry and desperate to eat. P.S. the coca-cola is good and the water too. read more

I grew up regularly visiting Lulu's with my family and I loved it. When I was 21 I started waitressing there and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can say that the standards of cleanliness and customer appreciation is top notch! I felt I was working in a family environment and still visit today. I recommend everything on the menu as I can't think of anything I've ever been disappointed in. The cocktails are great and it's a perfect place to watch sports. Don't pass this place up! read more

I had been to this restaurant previously & had good experiences but on the last visit I was appalled. Previous visits were for lunch but on this day I ordered breakfast Omelet with Bacon & cheese. When it arrived at the table everything looked normal the waitress threw it down & walked away not asking if there was anything else i needed. I continued to eat my meal & finished most of it. Here's where things went south. When i was walking to the car my stomach started cramping up it got worse I realized i better find a bathroom quick ! I ran back into the restaurant. As fast as I could get the seat gasket on I sat down my bowels erupted Violently aka as a stage 5 e Blowout. The stench was so bad I dry heaved while washing my hands I have never eaten something & had a Blowout 10 minutes later. Whatever they call eggs must have been sitting out warm for hours. I thought about asking for my money back but instead decided to get the hell out of there & never go back. Looking around the place was filthy dirty floors unsanitary conditions everywhere I think the health department would find quite a few violations Kitchen Nightmares with Gorden Ramsey couldn't help this place stay in Business. I just ordered lunch from LuLu's and thank goodness I got a side of fruit otherwise I'd be starving. The 1 star is just for the sandwich I ordered, the Turkey Focaccia...this place might have other dishes on their menu that are much tastier/better prepared. But unfortunately due to the poor representation of a very easy turkey sandwich I just received, I will not be going back to find out. Onto the sandwich: the presentation was incredibly sloppy, piled so much with 'stuff' which made it impossible to pick up (not in a good way, in an exploded way). It came with piles of turkey, bacon, avocado, dijon, mayo, tomatoes (unripened I should add), lettuce and what appeared to be American cheese on the most pathetic focaccia I have ever seen/eaten. Focaccia is usually a strong bread, relatively thick...this was thin and flimsy. And by the way who puts American cheese on Focaccia bread? Who does that? The bread was not substantial enough to handle the piles of "stuff" they put in the sandwich, and the tomatoes were so disproportionately large (2 of them and unripened) to the rest of the fixins'. Fantastic food delivery by a very nice delivery guy. One of the better meals I've had delivered to my house in this area. The quality of chicken was the only thing I would improve. But the salad was huge, the beans flavorful, the OJ freshly squeezed, and the cheesecake was perfectly not overly sweet. The best, though, were the sliders. What a disappointment! This is a restaurant where you can tell that the recipes are tired, the kitchen staff doesn't care and doesn't have the skill or resources to produce quality food. Your money is better spent in the microwave food case at 7-Eleven I have ordered from them twice now because my wife enjoys one of their wraps (which is probably the safest thing on the menu) and both times I have been so turned off by the food that I have been unable to finish. The first time I ordered a bbq pork sandwich and it was a disaster. The sandwich came on a disappointingly store bought (think cheap Ralph's brand) sourdough roll and featured nothing more than a bunch of fatty pieces of meat and enough sauce to ruin five sandwiches. Most of the bun was unusable by the time it arrived at my door, and the little of it that I was able to salvage was lost under the mountain of extremely fatty meat. There were many whole pieces that I simply couldn't chew and get down because they were 60-70% fat and gristle . . . absolutely disgusting! All in all, a complete waste of money and I ended up having to cook something for myself afterward. The second time (tonight, 15 minutes ago) my wife ordered the same wrap she got last time and I, thinking I was being very safe, ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Another total disappointment. Chicken Parm is easy, it's a staple of Italian food menu's and you shouldn't claim to serve Italian food and pasta if you are incapable of making a decent Chicken Parmesan. Lulu's most certainly cannot cook a decent Chicken Parm. The chicken was so overcooked that even drenched in sauce it still tasted dry. It was a big, low quality chicken breast that was completely black all the way around and had a large piece of cheese melted over the top of it. It looked like they put an abnormally huge amount of cheese on the chicken to hid the charred breast meat, but instead of hiding it it simply formed into one weird mass of charred chicken and gloppy, melted cheese and slid off to the side of the chicken breast. It was nasty! On top of that the pasta was under-cooked, clearly pulled out of the water too early in an attempt to throw something on the burned chicken breast. It was rubbery and disgusting. Then, as if it were some magic wand, the cooks just poured an absurd amount of marinara sauce over the whole thing and called it done. Sloppy, disgusting and not worth one of the 12 dollars it cost. What a terrible restaurant and terrible experience. I almost never write reviews of restaurants but this experience with Lulu's, from the food to the sloppy delivery drivers, has been so embarrassingly bad that I felt the need to warn others. Also, my wife just chimed in, apparently their side order of fresh fruit is also terrible. How do you mess up fruit?!?! This restaurant is an insult to other 1 star establishments. read more

I live in Vegas and always feel at home and is essential for my trip to be complete when I come to lulu's. New management (Michael) rocks and always makes you feel welcome. Lisa is the best waitress I've ever had serve our family. Wish I could give you all a 10 star rating. Well worth the trip. Who knew you could get REAL Memphis-style BBQ at Lulu's! Over the weekend, I drove past the restaurant and saw the smoker outside, and in the end, I came in and took out a rack of ribs to have at home. OMG, they were really meaty and smoky and dry-rubbed the right way...and delicious. Now, I'm a serious and picky BBQ rib guy and know the real deal when I taste it. Kudos to pit master Big Doug, and to the owners of Lulu's for bringing in this wonderful surprise. (By the way, just about everything else Lulu's makes is wonderful too.) read more

This place has definitely lost its appeal. My parents have been bringing me here for as long as I can remember and it has always been a family staple. But unfortunately, It has definitely gown downhill. The food is compared to crap I can make at home (and that's not saying much, because I NEVER cook). The servers and people are usually very enjoyable and I think the reason for its degradation is the fact that the owners have gone cheap. They can't even serve you regular caesar dressing anymore. Its some house made crap of part caesar and part blue cheese or something. If I had the choice, I would definitely choose a chain restaurant over them. read more

When I asked the server she told me "I will ill just be putting in your order first"...I'm ok with that only it took her 10min to come back! I decided to try using the eat 24 app tonight to order some delivery for my wife and I this evening. I will review the time of delivery, cost of what we paid, the food, and whether it not I recommend. Time of delivery was close to what my wife and I expected LATE! We were quoted 45 minutes but 1.5 hours later the driver driver shows up, apologizing fur late service... The cost was a little high in my opinion, they have chili's pricing for huge portions of food that are not that great. We ordered: a chili cheese burger on sourdough, french fries, the garlic herb pasta, the sampler platter, the chocolate cake, and the granny Smith apple pie. Wow the chili cheese burger was so dissapointing. Burger ordered medium well was very burnt tasting. Nice amount of cheese, the sourdough bread was so soggy! I realize I had it delivered but the sad part is they know it will get soggy also, so they try putting the bread on the side. Good idea in concept but don't place the bread in the same container as the chili...as for the chili seriously it was burnt also, I was like dang maybe they serve their food burnt style or something. The garlic herb pasta was more of a mushroom and beef stroganoff. It tasted ok but way too many mushrooms, and it had way too much butter. The pasta came with a slice of garlic toast that was just as soggy as the sourdough bread that came with the chili.. The French fries were soggy also I mean wow! limp and pathetic is all I have to say, we only ate like five and threw the rest away. Soggy food explains the sampler as well, with the only thing edible in the whole sampler plate being the mozzarella sticks. The gigantic fries zucchini was so soggy, the chicken tenders were huge but no flavor, and the onion rings just made me more upset. Alright so the food want pleasant however the desert was pretty darn good. The chocolate cake was sweet, rich, and pretty melt in your mouth delicious. The granny Smith Apple thing-amajig was sweet tart and yummy,I could of eaten two especially seeing as we barely nibbled any of the food items. The Grill Master....... A month ago ee we stopped in to lulu to get our normal lunch with our dog in the patio and noticed that they had barbecue so we tried it. Oh my god we were hooked the man grilling this meat is a master of all masters of the grill. I have never tasted anything like it. Wow, this place has gone downhill big-time. Its only been a year, 2 years tops, since I last dined here. Maybe they're under new ownership? Anyway, they used to have the best fried zuchini, ordered it today ... awful. Instead of bread crumbs, now its battered. And I'm not kidding, a few of them were almost an inch thick, so too hard to cut. And no flavor. The other thing I really used to like was their side salad. It used to come on a cold plate and the dressing was always mixed in and so yummy. No cold plate, dressing was mixed in but had no flavor and the lettuce seemed like a store bough mix. I've eaten at Lulu's probably 20 times over the years. I will not be going back. Too bad. Service was great though, I'll say that! read more
